The repair technician arrived in a timely manner. He listened to my account of what had happened with my appliance before he began searching for the cause. He explained to me what he was doing as he went along, ruling out the most common causes before identifying the problem (which is apparently not very common. He replaced a defective part, and my appliance now works fine. I cant speak to the value because I have nothing to compare it with, this being the first time my dishwasher has had a problem since I bought it in January 2015.

In the middle of April, 2021, I contracted with Sears Home Appliance Repair to fix my Jenn-Air Cooktop. The first technician came and didnt even trouble-shoot. He said we need to order a control card and when it comes in, we will come back and replace it. Sears charged us 488 dollars at that time. Fast forward to May 5. Second tech comes to install the part the first tech ordered. Long story short, that part didnt fix the problem. So, the tech ordered another part on May 5. We still do not have it and it is now June 17. I have called MULTIPLE times and their help desk is NO help. They are in some foreign land and hard tot hear and difficult to understand. Basically, they read scripts. Ive asked to escalate no fewer than three times and Im told someone will call within 48 to 72 hours. They NEVER DO. Yesterday, I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint. If I were you, I would avoid Sears at all cost. Last thing, they always say the part is on backorder. Strange, but I can find the part on Sears Parts Direct.

The technician never mentioned the fee to come out. Came to my home, never touched my washer. I told him the part, he looked up the price, I declined the repair, then he tells me the charge for coming out. What??He then threatened me and would not leave my home without payment. I didnt know what to do other than pay him so hed leave. I went through their customer service and it was a joke. Two months later and they declined my refund request. I am just so disgusted and will NEVER use their services again. Wish I could give them zero stars.

I have been very impressed with them. They are professional very communicative, and best of all timely. Ive been fortunate to be the first appointment of the day several times and they always make sure to call.Brent our service tech for the refrigerator repair after hearing what the issue was knew what part was needed and was in the area of the supplier and was forethinking enough to go ahead and pick up the part BEFORE he got here so that he didnt need to order the part and could fix the problem the first time. I appreciate that understanding of his job and customer service.I do think they are on the higher priced side but thats ok with me because the things mentioned above are worth it to me.

Technician showed up and said he could not trouble shoot because I unplugged my fridge (2 hours before he showed up) because the compressor was getting hot. I told him I was quite sure the compressor was the issue due to the fridge not running and the compressor was getting hot. He argued with me for sometime. I finally pulled out the warranty and as soon as it showed the compressor was under warranty he decided he could not fix the refrigerator. $600 later, I have a new compressor and was very frustrated by the attitude.

Upon my Sears Appliance Repair, I had purchased hot and cold Washer Connectors. I had known that this is what needed to be replaced because the maintenance at my apartment complex had made a note and already turned off the water valves. The Service Repairman was very kind and efficient. I had gotten out of his way and he was able to diagnose, disassemble, and reassemble within 30 minutes. Had I not purchased the hot and cold Washer Connectors, this would have probably been a two-day event. It might be most helpful to know what is wrong and purchase the appropriate accessories before the Service Repairman visits! All-in-all this was a pleasant experience, the Service Repairman was very polite. For someone who does not know a thing about washer and dryer maintenance, I would recommend Sears Appliance Repair! Thank you!

A few hours after the technician completed service on our fridge, it stopped working again. He dropped everything to come right back out, was there in 10 minutes, and had the problem assessed and fixed quickly. I expected to have to go back into the system, make another 4 hr window appointment and lose another half-day. I am so grateful he took the initiative to help us instead of suggesting we simply make another appointment!

I heard about Sears services a lot and this is the first time I am experiencing. The customer service is great and there were number of follow-ups to schedule and reschedule the appointments. The only concern I have is that after raising a ticket it took more than 3 weeks to resolve the issue. If they can take care of these issues that would be great.

Website says they repair Whirlpool brand appliances. However, the Sears technician charged us $100 to come out and say Sears doesn’t have the control panel and won’t order it. We should order the part and install it ourselves. Nice!

I called for repair service on a Kenmore fridge bought from Sears that is less that 2 years old. I was made to wait for 5 days for the earliest appointment. The technician came and apparently fixed the fridge, which still does not work. Now I am told I have to wait another 6 days for a follow up appointment. Needless to say, I lost a lot of food. I have had to buy a small fridge to keep us going. So disappointed!! 😡

Tech left the area dirty of dust and lint, unit runs but now has a growling noise as if something was left loose at the rear of the unit? Had to call and they are to return again. This is the 3rd time - 1st part was incorrect and had to reorder - I believe service would have been better if they would have had us put clothes in the system to check for this noise we have now.

Repair of Maytag clothe washing machine:The repair service was good. I was satisfied with the technician sent by Sears. The cost of repair service was prohibitive. The cost of a new Maytag washer is about $300.00 but Sears charged me $167.00 just for the repair of an old Maytag washer. This is more than half the cost of the new washer. Sears is particularly notorious for very high bills. If you have a washer to be repaired, do your best to search elsewhere for repair technician and not Sears. Sears should be your last resort on the planet earth.

We had a great experience with our recent washer repair.Our tech Harold was happy when he arrived and you could sense how much he enjoyed helping others. Once diagnosed, the part he needed was showing as having one in stock in his trucks inventory. However, it was not present. He said he would need to order the part to be shipped to me and then we would need to schedule another tech to return for the repair.He did say that he would attempt to return with the part if he could source one and if he could fit the return visit into his day (his other calls were not near our home).He later called my wife to say he had the part in hand but couldnt return until dinner time. He showed up at 6, promptly repairee part, and then set off for his next job.Love the dedication to providing us with excellent service. Well done!!

The Repairman(Harold Jones) did an excellent job! Not only was he on time, he explained clearly what the problem was with my washer and gave some helpful tips on how to keep the washer clean and working properly. Mr. Jones was able to complete the repair that day inspite of having to order a part.His customer service and repair skills are why I love Sears!

Took two weeks to get a tech to look at it on April 3rd. Paid $408 for service call and part that had to be ordered. After four weeks called, was told part hand not been ordered, was told it would be and should be in within two weeks. After 3 weeks, a total of nearly 10 weeks of no washer, I bought a new one. The charges to my account are now in dispute, and if the full charges are not refunded, I am prepared to take legal action. This is the worst service I have ever had from any organization.

If I could give this negative stars I would! My company ordered a refrigerator for a client in May which was installed by Sears in late June/early July. At the end of July the Kenmore refrigerator was not cooling properly so we called in a service. We were told they needed to order a part and it would arrive by August 27 for installation. On August 30 I called Sears to find out when the tech would be out to complete the repair. At that time I was told that the part was on back order. We were NEVER notified that the part was on back order. Carlos and Antonio in Mexico City were adamant that their automated system had made contact with us. Nope. No call was received. We checked our call logs. I was then transferred to Jerry in India, who then transferred me to Mars in God only knows where. I was told along the way that the part would be shipped on September 14 (Sat). I was suspicious so I waited and called on the 12th to be told that yes, the part should ship on the 14th still. So on the 17th I called to confirm that the part shipped. Yes, the part shipped per Mazel in God knows where. Today, over a week later Ive been on the phone for over an hour, Ive been transferred from the US to India to Mexico to Southeast Asia and Im being transferred yet again. No one can tell me where the part is or when it will be ready for shipment. Ive been transferred 6 times today to 7 different people in every corner of the world. The only place they have yet to transfer me to is Antarctica. Maybe the Polar Bears can tell me more about where my part is.

Our service person, Warren, was absolutely fabulous. I cannot say the same for Sears in general. We are looking at calling the news media about our LG refrigerator, which is defective. Sears knows they are defective and will do nothing. Thank goodness we purchased an extended warranty. My husband was on the phone with 5 different people trying to get this resolved. After 2 hours on the phone, we decided to just get the refrigerator repaired. Now that Warren did a fabulous job replacing the part Sears knew was defective when they sold us the appliance, we will do whats necessary to call attention to Sears. They are not the Sears my parents did business with and not the sears we have been used to. As we are retired, we have plenty of time to pursue this problem.

I scheduled an appointment 8 days out for a Saturday appointment. I never received a confirmation call, but did call that morning to verify the appointment. The technician was to arrive between 8am and noon. I called at 12:30 to find out where the tech was and found out that my appointment had been rescheduled for Monday between 1 and 5pm. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL from anyone at Sears Appliance Repair!! Horrible experience. I will NEVER call them for anything again.

They came to fix our fridge and the employee refused to fix it because it was in the garage and didnt want to sweat.The employee became extremely hostile, rude and aggressive because the fridge was in the garage...Then he lied to Sears on the report he filed...In the end... Fridge still not fixed.

We are very disappointed with the service, we recently had Sears out again for our dryer and within just a few days it is again not working and can not get anyone out for three days! Our business requires a dryer to be functioning during the hours we are open. This is unacceptable to have repair people who do not fix the problem or let us know that it is not repairable!

We had a very difficult experience with Sears repair. Despite needing an oven to cook meals for our family, the customer service department scheduled us a week out for repair. On the day of repair, the technician did not show up to work and rather than immediately reschedule us, they scheduled us another full week out. On the next repair date, the technician reported that no one was home. Though we were at home, customer service did not help us and the repair date was scheduled even further out. We truly hope Sears will address their customer service department and scheduling issues.

Service Tech was very professional and personable, the kind of person one would feel comfortable having in their house. As we observed his work, he explained everything he was doing and what it contributed to his evaluation of our washing machine problem. Once he figured out what was wrong, he explained how it caused the strange noise that we were hearing. He fixed the problem with a part replacement, did a good job cleaning up after his work.

The service technician was quick and got the repair completed fairly quickly. The two issues I had were related to the coordination of getting the service scheduled. 1) When scheduling the appointment, the call technician did not verify my address. The service technician ended up at my old address. Luckily, I didnt move too far from where I used to live but I can see how this would have been a bigger catastrophe if I moved out of town/state. 2) When scheduling I wasnt provided an estimated 2 hour window until that day. I had several other services (small and large chains) completed and this was the only company that didnt provide this estimated time frame in advance requiring me to take a whole day off to wait around. Coupled with the issue of the technician going to the wrong address, I didnt get the repair completed until after 4 pm that day.

Ive always had a good experience with Sears Appliance repair. All of their service techs are knowledgeable and personable. Ive owned my Sears washer & dryer since 1995 and have the annual maintence performed every year. Their service maintence agreement is very good and worth every cent. The new washers and dryers out there die after 2-3 years.

This is NOT how a maintenance contract should function. Sears unable to find replacement parts for months for our Craftsman Ride-on mower. Repeated rescheduling of our appointment. Unable to schedule a service when the parts finally delivered. We are still waiting for a date ! Hours spent on Live chat and waiting on hold on the telephone. Lots of call back promises broken.

Awful experience. Technician came out the first time and said all we needed was a drainage hose, but they dont have them with them. Said hes order it, but must have forgotten because when I called their office they hadnt ordered anything. Second visit was worse because when the tech tried to install the hose, he said he couldnt get to it because there were rusted screws and hes not allowed them to take them out.They left the new hose, so when I tried to get a full refund on the maintenance agreement, they said I couldnt until they came to pick up the hose. I asked if I could take it somewhere and they said no. I still have the hose, but the maintenance team finally gave me the refund.All this took over two weeks.

My maintenance contract is useless. Juat found out that the tech that has done the semi-annual maintenance has not been treating the condensate lines. They clogged. Called them back too service and they eat to charge me. I complained that my A.C. was not working, so they needed to service. They came out and confirmed that the condensate lines were blocked. Said that is plumbing, not AC, so not covered.The condensate lines ARE party of the AC! They were installed with the AC, not by a plumber. Any other HVAC company would maintain and service them.I am canceling my contact with Sears and going with someone else.

David did a wonderful job on diagnosing and fixing the problem. If it were just him, he would get 5 stars. Unfortunately, I had to wait weeks for 2 parts, one which he did not order or need. Actually that one was a water line for a refrigerator.....hmmmm. The communication is terrible. They notify you of appointments but the people in parts do not see fit to keep you in the loop at all about the status of backordered parts.I had to call multiple times to find out the status of these mysterious parts, as the repairman said I only needed one part. Waited an extra 8 Days for that refrigerator line. I wished Amazon was in charge.

The tech was professional and courteous. The problem with the refrigerator was one that he had not experienced, that the people at Sears had not experienced, and that the makers at GE had not experienced. They ordered a printed circuit board for the refrigerator temperature controller, and he came back and installed it when it came in. That didnt fix the problem, though it did modify the symptoms. Hell be coming back on 18 August to have another try at diagnosis.

The Sears technician and his assistant replaced the defective oven heating element correctly and quickly. I was very satisfied with the repair work.The only thing that I didnt like was that I was trying to pay my Sears bill with a VISA debit cardthat I use successfuly all the time, but when the tech swiped my card using his device that looked kinda like a laptop, the card was declined, so I paid by personal check instead. Later that Friday I tried to pay for something in a store and the debit card wasdeclined again!On Monday I went to my bank and they removed the decline status from my card. I hadmoney in my account, but it was declined when the Sears tech tried to use it to pay my bill, because his device contained a mobile hotspot, so the bank software declined mycard as a security precaution. A lot of inconvenience over the weekend but all is well now.

No other company that ive ever worked w/ gives such a large window of arrival (4hours) If I worked outside the home I would have to take an entire day off if not more to wait on the repair man to arrive. My repair took 2 visits because the repairmans truck was lacking in parts that had to be ordered so he had to come back a week later. Yes, I couldnt use my dishwasher for an entire 8 days.....I have a family of 5. Because the repair man couldnt readily diagnose my problem, he ended up replacing parts that didnt need replacing, thus causing a leak that he did repair before leaving me w/o my dishwasher for 8 days. Thank goodness I had just re-signed an extended warranty a few weeks prior to this repair, otherwise Id be out $650 in replacement parts & labor.....some of which I didnt need. No more Whirlpool products for me and certainly no more Sears repair services. Just terrible!!

This repair was for yearly maintenance for both the LG washer and dryer. The Tech. only spent about 10-15 minutes on both and the extensive check list that was part of the Maintenance Agreement couldnt have been completed in less than 30-35 minutes.I was not satisfied with the service.

Had to wait from Thursday until Monday before the initial service call was made and then they had to order a part to repair our driver. The repairman said it would be 5 to 10 working days before hed have the part. It was 2 weeks before he came back and replaced the part. 2 1/2 weeks without a dryer is not good. We live in DFW it shouldnt have taken more than a couple of days to get it fixed.I had to have the dryer services again. Very same issues with service as the first time. Over a week for first appt, then technician didnt listen to what the problems were and ordered a new drum (which we didnt need) 2 1/2 later they still hadnt come back to fix the dryer. My husband to the back off and found the issue, we canceled the service and part. I called Sears and told them they need to find a different repairman for the Keller Tx area.

Bought a long term maint agreement. Did not realize that rebuilt parts would be used to keep the tv running. Have had them out 6 times in the past year. Think they offer to replace the tv because of ongoing issues? NO. I have to keep taking time off work to meet repairmen who give you a window of 8 to 5 to show up and then cancel the appointment without a phone call and just send an email notice.... also, do not like getting the third degree about what the tv is doing. Pretty simple when I turn it on an nothing happens..... so tired of Sears. They sold off the tv repair to an outside vendor. Rebuilt parts dont last.
