My husband and I have been members of Anytime Fitness in Layton for over 10 years! The gym is always really clean and they have all the equipment needed for our workouts. Ryan has always been real great to work with! We really do love working out here!!!! We highly recommend LAYTON ANYTIME FITNESS!!
Don’t join this place. It’s a crazy hassle to get anyone to respond unless you’re signing up. I tried to cancel my membership or put it on hold during lock down and couldn’t get anyone to call me back. Now they won’t cancel unless I come in person to fill out paperwork. It’s like I m returning a car. It’s ridiculous. I fulfilled my membership requirements by over a year. I no longer live in Utah and still... “you have to cancel in person”. Seriously! Terrible
Edit: Changing my review to 5 stars because Ryan (the owner I believe) called me back and although my specific request couldn’t be completed, he was very professional and friendly! Seems like a great place for anyone looking for a gym!I’m sure it’s a great gym but I’ve called multiple times and can’t seem to get ahold of anyone on the phone.
The owner/operator will disable your FOB so that you can’t enter the gym and not reach out to contact you regarding why. Definitely 1 star. #Unprofessional. Will be calling corporate next week. If I were the owner, I would at least contact the member and inform them before they waste time and gas driving to my gym only to be locked out. I’m writing this review at another gym I had to drive to.
I really wish I could give this place ZERO stars, the Owner of the gym is really unprofessional and rude. Acts like a child! The equipment needs to be replaced, the lockers smell like a dump and the staff is just terrible. There lucky there was people around because if not there would have been a fight. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GYM AT ALL. Prices should be $15 considering how this dump is!
I can’t believe this place is still open with all the much better options for way cheaper! I signed up for this gym since I lived across the street but I extremely regret doing that and wish I would have gone with vasa or eco for way cheaper and nicer! If you do sign up expect $40 monthly and a $75 yearly fee with a hidden $120 sign up fee.. The best part was when I moved I called to see if they’d work with me and he was passive aggressive and said my contract says I have to give a 60 day notice and since my contract ended in 45 days that I had to renew, so the second year around I put my noticed in and said why I was done and he was border line harassing about me leaving. (Side note I left my key card inside once and went back for it and he said it’s a $25 charge) but I really wouldn’t recommend!I is also think it’s hilarious if you scroll threw the reviews and there’s bots/fake accounts that have 5 stars and are obviously just boosters
Great clean gym. In the small space theyre in, they have everything you need. Staff may not be there all the time, but they are helpful.
Ryan the owner is a friendly and professional guy . He makes sure this gym is very clean . I love working out here usually not very busy . Friendly staff .enjoyable experience thk you
Ryan, the manager, is the best! He has always been professional and nice. He makes sure that the gym is always clean and safe. This gym is a good value for what you get. Ryan has helped me time and time again. I can’t say enough good things about him. I wish more managers did as good of a job as he does. If you’re looking for a gym that isn’t super crowded and has well-maintained equipment this is the gym for you! By the way, you should probably ask him if he needs a cleaner, there is a sick discount if you are one of them. :)
Very spacious and clean gym first time at this location and by far my favorite will be coming back every time I’m in layton!!! 😎😎😊💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Staff is rude. Walked in. No one at desk. looked around saw the equipment and determined it met my needs. Guys shows up I ask about joining he refused to do anything unless I let him give me a tour of of the place. I can see everything from were I stand. He insist I must get a tour as if i have never been to a gym before and wont tell me anything about price contracts until he gives me a tour. What a pompous jerk.
I’m visiting some family and have been coming here and I love it. It has everything you need, clean, and the owner is great. Definitely a gym I would go to if it was in my hometown.
This location has the worst, most unprofessional staff Ive ever encountered. I cant believe how they talk to people. Snap fitness or literally any other gym is better than this place. Do not give them your business. This place is a joke. They definitely discriminate against graveyard shift workers.
Wow can’t say enough how amazing this gym is! I am so happy to have found it! The quality of the equipment and machines surpasses any gyms in the surrounding areas. The owner genuinely cares about his members and greets them by name when they come in, unlike big box gyms around. He’s always there to help and goes above and beyond for his members. I would recommend this gym over any in the area! Go check it out, you’ll be glad you did!
Worst anytime fitness Ive never been to!
I come visit this gym when I’m in Utah. It’s 100% better than my small town anytime fitness. It has nice equipment, and the environment is friendly. I’d recommend this gym. Honestly, what is better than having access to a gym 24/7, and in any state you’d like?I’ll also add that I have met the owner, Ryan, and he is very kind.
I had the chance to meet the owner and he was very respectful. My first experience here was not great but after speaking with the owner, realized it was a misunderstanding on both sides. Friendly members 😊 Great place to go.
Its more expensive then most the 10.00 a month places but its worth it to have a quiet gym thats not over crowded.
Had a simple misunderstanding with owner/operator and he couldn’t have been better to work with to resolve issue. Loyal to this location!
This is a nice gym. Good equipment, friendly management, good location. I need a gym that I can use 24/7, so that makes Anytime a perfect fit for me.
I just started my membership today at Anytime Fitness in Layton 😊I met with Ryan & he was so helpful and kind! Im so excited to begin my New Year 2019 in a healthy way and be able to use this amazing facility in helping me to accomplish my New Years resolutions👍
This Facility has everything one needs to live a healthy and active lifestyle. I love coming to workout with my lady because everyone is so nice and the gym is so clean. Thanks ATF crew for all your attention to detail.
Beautiful place
This Aaron guy is obviously a complete jack@ss! He literally went through and left a 1 star review on every Anytime Fitness location he could find. Ive been to plenty Anytime Fitness locations that were not up to par, but this one is top notch! I wish people had some respect these days.
I always enjoy coming here. It’s always clean and the staff is very friendly....and they remember your name
Great equipment, great staff! The new owner is very nice. Also like the atmosphere.
Theres better places to go with alot of more equipment and space. Good for starting out in the gym but prices could be better.
Favorite gym to go to, especially since its not crowded, unlike Vasa/Golds gym. Highly recommend.
The Dojo! This is the place where people come to put into work. Has 50 times less BS, phones and people chatting than normal gyms.
Having a 24 hour gym is convenient. Usually clean. Can sometimes be crowded during peak hours. Rarely staffed regardless of what the sign says so it is difficult to bring a guest so that they can see what it is all about. Also if you have to call for any reason such as changing your billing info, don’t count on anyone answering even during staffed hours. The staffed hours used to be correct. But nowadays they seem to only be guidelines as there is hardly anyone there. Truthfully, it was ok at first. But as time has gone on, it is ridiculous that they cannot have staff there at least during the day.
My first post was a litte harsh so I would amend it to just sharing my experience.I went to college and canceled my membership at anytime because there wasn’t one in Logan. After break I was moving back home, but was going to stay for a week with my in laws near Layton first so my mom let me borrow hers. I didn’t know that it would be such a big problem for a week. I explained this and tried to get a guest pass for the last couple days before I moved back home, but was denied. That was extremely frustrating. As far as having my brother with me, I didn’t know that it was an adult only facility because the other anytimes Ive been to, were not, so I brought my 14 year old brother in law. It was his first time going to a gym and i was hoping for a positive experience for him so he would want to start exercising. Be that as it may, when I was told it was an adult only, I would’ve been more than happy to bring him home then come back. Ryan, the owner, yelled at us and accused us of “sneaking in”...well there’s only one main door and we walked right through it. We weren’t trying to hide anything. Just didn’t know the rules and then we’re talked down to, belittled, and denied a guest pass (other anytime fitnesses have done this no problem). I’m sure he is nice most of the time, but this was a terrible experience.
Please read this review if you’re thinking of getting a membership at this god awful gym.Honestly, this has been the worst most stressful gym I’ve ever been to. My fiancé and I went here for $60, I made a deal with the owner to clean the gym once a week to make our bill only $30. Every single month the owner broke our agreement and charged us $48. He’s lucky we didn’t take legal action for breaking the contract for MONTHS.The owner of this gym is very disrespectful, I fully expect him to reply to this in a disrespectful way. We ended up moving, we brought a lease in to prove the move, the owner said we were making it up??? And we need a utility bill. So we went and got a utility bill and we even brought our landlord in for even more proof, the owner then proceeded to yell at our landlord and kicked a 63 year old man out into the cold. I have a video of all of this that will be sent to corporate on how he treats us and other people. We proceeded to cancel the membership and he told us to sit down, I said kindly “I’m okay I’ve been sitting all day at work” he proceeded to say “ if you aren’t going to sit down you can leave”The owner is the most arrogant, disrespectful man I’ve EVER met. He surprisingly IS a grown man but sure does act like a little child who throws trantrums when someone is cancelling their membership. He will act like he is above you all because he owns a gym lmao. Those are only a few of the horror stories we’ve had dealing with him
24-7-365 access to workout. Not over-crowded. Comfortable. Members are awesome.
Ok gym equipment....but the SMELL!! It stinks like a really bad locker roomI’ve been to a lot of anytime fitness gyms and I love the convenience of going to the gym when I travel but this is one of the worst anytime fitness gyms I have ever been to!
Very expensive compared to other places. Plus there extra yearly maintenance fees.
I love it but they run low on towels sometimes
In from out of town... Small, but everything you need for a good workout.
Don’t waste your money here. Surrounding gyms have much more to offer at less than half the cost of anytime fitness
Been trying to get a pass for a week, they dont answer the phone whatsoever during staff hours.
Love the environment. 24 hour access.
24 hour availability, never busy, clean, private showers and all the equipment youll ever need. If you hate waiting for equipment bc somebody cant stop talking about themselves, then this is the place for you.
I paid one month for 8 session of Personal training 5 of them got cancel and I still had to pay full price.
Nice little place
Good place to work out
24 hours, not very busy
