I had a easy and gentle appointment many times here. I use to be scared of getting numb because I was scared of needles but the dentist is very gentle and has many ways to help me not feel pain. Ive received bridge, many cap and crowns, cleanings and tooth removal and Im so happy I found this place. The staff is very nice and respectful of my feelings and previous fears of dental work I had at other places and totally changed my outlook and my fear of going to the dentist.

I’ve been going to this dentist for a couple of years and I love it here. It’s so clean, they are all very sanitary. Always have been! The staff is wonderful, lady at the front desk was sweet and talkative! I love the interactions here. And the assistant who did the photos made sure I was comfortable and was gentle. Dr H was very nice, always asking how I am, being social, and a caring person about my teeth. He is great with what he does and, at this place, your comfort always comes first. Before I got the surgery I was scared out of my mind and hella bad thoughts and I was just worried out of my mind. Dr and Helios and Dr Tracy both made me feel so comfortable and let me know I had nothing to be worried about. I hummed Christina’s songs almost the whole time and everything went so smooth. After we were done I saw that I was worried for no reason at all. I recommend coming to them for any dental work you need done. This is my first time getting surgery and it went so well. Literally I was worried for nothing. I’m still in shock that it went so quickly and smooth.

I went to optima dental for an emergency appointment/ tooth extraction. I am type 1 diabetic and my tooth was causing me detrimental issues. Anyway, receptionist was super nice, welcoming and what not. Get back to the dr & he says we need to take it out ASAP. Cool. He does it. He starts pulling when I wasn’t even numb, TWICE. So after paying almost $500 OUT OF POCKET, not including medication, the dr couldn’t even numb me for this procedure. 😳Let’s fast forward 2 weeks. I have eaten maybe twice since I’ve gotten it pulled, I’m in 10x more pain than I was before I got the tooth pulled. I called them 25x and they apparently went on a week vacation the day after I got my tooth pulled. (the whole office) and didn’t think to tell me that so I was forced to go to the ER and they said it was take out improperly. There were huge pieces that were not removed which caused a major infection on top of the infection I already had. My gums got completely ripped apart with the extraction and he should’ve put stitches in, and he did not. (That’s a drs opinion not mine) so I finally get in touch with them and when I go in for ANOTHER emergency appointment (the day after my ER visit) he says there’s nothing wrong with the guns, hole or anything. He says it’s not infected (even though my diabetes was being negatively affected, I had extremely high white blood cell count, and 2-3 drs opinion that say otherwise. He argued with me, would not allow me to explain the experience I was having, would not allow me to tell him what the other drs said, said that he was educated and superior because he’s been practicing for years. Mind you, I have had about 8 teeth pulled and have NEVER had any issues let alone 2.5 weeks of constant pain, infection that was spreading, etc. Never.Anyway, the dr was extremely unprofessional, rude and offensive. I have made formal complaints and I will not be going anywhere near this practice again & urge people to be careful and cautious.

If you want honestly, go somewhere else, i even believe many of this reviews are made up, my wife went on there for a cleaning and they were like, uhm let me see how many cavities you have oh you have 8, then we look another dentistry and he told us you clean no cavities, then we received a bill for .15 cents they said paid or will go to collections, really after 6 years ? More the cost ofhave someone doing the letter and paid for stamp, what a joke, also with me they have a window advertising $99 cleaning when i got there oh no we can not do the $99 cleaning we have to do the one is $200, i said no and still they charged my card for rx which i had to call my bank and refused that payment and got my money back, i will never go again

Ive been going to Dr. Houenou for the past couple of years and Im always given the best care. Whether Im getting squeezed in for an emergency or getting my scheduled cleanings, I never feel rushed and always recieve quality work!

I decided to leave Great Expressions Dental after over 10 years because of the dollars over patient care environment that has taken over so many businesses. I found Optima Dental after a very exhaustive search for a smaller practice that focused on their patients and didn’t make you feel like you were on an assembly line. I could not be more pleased with my decision to switch. The staff is both friendly and professional. They ask you questions to find out the best course of action to care for your long term dental health. They even repaired a botched filling from Great Expressions at no charge. If you want a dentist that cares for you and not how they can max out your dental coverage, Optima Dental is the right choice.

I was really not wanting to get a root canal/crown because I knew it was a long process but with the help of Dr. H, Brenda and Sandra I made it through. They were very help and patient with me. They checked on me all the way through. I would also like to thank the staff in the front for helping along the way too. My experience has been awesome. Optima Dental feels like home.

This is my first visit with Dr Helios and it was awesome. I am all about timing and professionalism and his staff delivered both of those qualities and more. Everybody from the front desk to the hygienist were amazing. All of my questions were answered and I a got detailed explanation of what was being done and why. Its difficult to find the level of customer service that I received today but, I found it. If you need a dentist, I recommend Dr Helios Houenou and his staff.

A great facility. I received the best service and that too very quickly. I was a new patient and called them at 8:08 in the morning after spending a sleepless night with tooth pain. They gave me an appointment in 30 minutes. The staff are amazing and efficient. Their wonderful manner comes across on the phone. Their service was quick. No 1 hour waits in the waiting room. Sandra put me at ease and thoroughly explained what is happening and was very careful with everything she did.I had my best dental experience with Dr. Houenou. He was very professional and put me at ease throughout the procedure. Very cordial and has that personality of what doctors are supposed to be. This is the facility I am going to entrust our families dental care with.

I was referred to Optima Dental by a co- worker. I most say the service was excellent. The assistants were very helpful and nice. I felt very welcome here.The moment I enter this office the young lady was pleasant, she sat me down before I was able to see the dentist. Basically to see the purpose of the visit and to get a brief summary on me. After that she introduced me to the Hygienist. She was excellent and she explained everything that that she was doing. I finally met the Dentist who was very nice and was precise. Bottom line is that I have had the worst experience with a lot of Dental Offices. But sometimes you need a reminder that their are actually good business with magnificent customer service. I recommend Optima Dental in Lawrenceville any day.
