The staff at Gregory B Levett made laying my uncle to rest the most pleasant experience I could’ve ever hoped for. The actual funeral home is immaculate. Additionally, the staff handles everything with such detail and care. Francheska was so patient with all of our questions. Krystal was the epitome of professional and caring. How can I thank them for how they cared for my family in our most vulnerable time? What a blessing to have found them.
My father Dr. Omar Jimenez passed away March 18,2021. From the moment the staff got to my house to pick him up, they treated my family with kindness and respect. They had so much patience and understanding it was very much appreciated. They handled my father with care. The 20th was the celebration of life. He looked amazing. The service was amazing. The fact the staff was able to work with us in such a short amount of time and make everything we wanted happen in literally 48 hours! That was amazing! Thank you thank you thank you soo much for being so great. Krystal thank you for working with us. I wish I could remember everyone’s name but thank you to the entire team. Such a calm and respectful process. Thank you again. God Bless!
I must say, during such a difficult time, losing our (my siblings and I) beloved mother, Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Home, provided the most professional and seamless service, I have ever received. From our initial meeting with our assigned funeral Director, Eric, to my mothers funeral service, I am pleased to say, that Ive never received such exemplary service, especially considering the circumstances. I felt as though they REALLY cared about our grief, and made sure to treat my beloved mother with the same care. The price point was within our budget, and they delivered well beyond anything we could have paid for. Eric was very responsive to all questions/concerns, and handled them with the utmost professionalism. The entire process went smoothly. I would highly recommend Gregory Levett & Sons Funeral Home to anyone who may be in need of funeral services, for their professionalism, pricing, attention to detail, and their ability to make everyone feel as though their loved one was just as special to them. Not to mention, my mother looked exceptionally beautiful. She looked like the most beautiful, peaceful version of herself. I know shes smiling down.
My 21 year old healthy daughter passed away suddenly this year. One can only imagine the devastation that we were experiencing when we decided to turn to Gregory B. Levett & Sons to handle our childs arrangements. Let me publicly say that they are the best funeral home in Georgia. I had always heard that they were very good, but having had a personal experience with them allowed me to see their expertise first hand. Our Funeral Director was Eric Smith, and he was absolutely excellent. He made sure that every detail was handled to perfection. He wasnt at all rattled by our constant calls, and last minute changes, and he calmly addressed all of our concerns with impeccable precision. He took care of us with the caring compassion that one would give a family member. Everyone at the facility, from the receptionist to Mr. Levett and his son, were unmatched in their professionalism.Having to employ the services of a funeral home is never a welcomed task . But if one finds oneself in need of these services, I would highly recommend Gregory B. Levett & Sons. They are the best!
Our family could not have asked for better services. The entire staff were very professional and did a wonderful job assisting us in our time of need.Tim Springer, you did a wonderful job and we will never forget the services that you provided. You are truly gifted; we were completely satisfied.May God Bless you and the entire Levett & Sons Staff.
I must give this establishment thumbs up but I believe in my heart that it all comes down to someone making you feel like your time of grief is the only thing that matters. Mr. Tim Springer posses the perfect compassion any one person needs when comforting a family that has lost a love one. I will always remember him and will make sure that I tell everyone I know he is the person to contact in the event they experience a loss of a love one. Blessings to you Mr. Springer.
They carried themselves with a level of professionalism and understanding. Our funeral director was Krystal, and she was very level-headed, understanding, patient, caring, and respectful. We very much appreciated their services.
The service my family and I received was truly outstanding. The entire staff was very patient and very compassionate. Id like to add that Tim Springer did an absolutely amazing job on my sister. She looked absolutely beautiful, even after we had her flown back to MI for her final resting place. I highly recommend Gregory B. Lovett & Sons.
I speak on behalf of my best friend who recently lost her husband. We are truly grateful and appreciative for the excellent service that we received, with special thanks to Eric Smith. Eric made sure that he covered every little detail and guided us through this difficult process. He was very patient and responsive. From the prep, to follow-up and day of service, he saw us through the entire process and made sure that he answered all our questions and kept everything organized. The chapel is very well kept and staffed with wonderful people. Thank you for all that you do.
Mr Levett and the staff at Levitt & Sons were so accommodating, sensitive, caring and supportive during this tragic time. Loosing Mom was the most difficult thing, however this part of the loss was made so much easier because they stepped in and took the stress away for the funeral planning. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and empathy shown. If one can say this was a classy funeral then it would be said. If you have to go through this for any loved one, then Gregory B Levett & Sons is the place to go! They will always have my business, but I am not looking to give them business right away... LOL...but honestly the deserve a 5 star plus. Superb, Fantastic, Professional, Caring, Empathetic, Sympathetic, Facility -perfecto!, and the employees - wow I cant say enough. Thank you all for what you did for us!
My wife and I experienced the sudden death of our daughter. We called and set an appointment. We were in shock and totally lost as to what we needed to do. Eric Smith met with us. First, he showed true sympathy. He was not about business, but about helping us. Yes we had to conduct business, but Eric made it a compassionate process. He provided options and let us decide how we wanted to honor our daughter. Eric was with us through the entire process and made a tragedy a great memorial to our daughter. Not only was Eric exceptional but we made a few requests of other members of the Gregory B. Levitt staff and they were all helpful and caring. I highly recommend the Gregory B Levitt Funeral Home.
My mothers funeral service was held this week, and my family was thoroughly pleased with the customer service, attention to detail, friendliness, pricing, and the quality of the facilities at their Gwinnett Chapel. My moms services were a bit more complex and involved shipping of the remains back to New Jersey for burial after a funeral service locally in Georgia. The funeral director, Eric Smith, was exceptionally professional and kind. He handled the arrangements with compassion and made them seamless and without any pressure or hard selling techniques. He also personalized the experience by calling my mom mother Rector, which really helped make the situation less business like. The preparation of her body for viewing was so exceptional that she actually looked younger than she did when she passed. I would recommend Gregory B Levett & Sons without a single reservation.
I was privileged to work with Krystal Hill when my father passed. She was wonderful to work with under the circumstances. She treated my family and I with so much dignity and respect. Her level of compassion and empathy was exactly what we needed in our time of need. I would highly recommend this funeral home.
My moms funeral service was held a few months ago at the Gwinnett Chapel and my family and I were very pleased and satisfied on the way Tim Springer to care of her. The preparation of her body was very professional, detailed, and phenomenal. He was willing to help us in what every we need to make this very smooth for my family. I want to thank Tim Springer again and recommend Gregory B Levett & Sons Funeral Home to take care of your love one, the way they took care of my mom.
This was a horrible experience. They are not supportive or empathetic. You should expect to do all the work. This is fine if the person who passed had everything laid out, but if you are experiencing a lot of grief and overwhelmed with decisions, they will just put more on your plate. It is also priced higher than other places. They blatantly ignored one of our requests for the sake of routine, never wrote anything down about what we wanted to ensure getting it right. Guests were all over the lobby, hallway and private rooms when it was time for the service. No one could be found when I was trying to find tissues or programs. It felt like total chaos from the moment I arrived, 30 min before the service. It was truly s heartbreaking experience and only one person offered us apologies. Everyone else just offered excuses.
I will first start by saying that the level of service that I received at Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Home was second to none. From the very first time that I called, I knew that my family would be cared for. What really impressed me is the young lady telling me that even if I chose another funeral home, she would still be willing to answer any questions and walk me through the process. The entire staff was caring and professional from beginning to the end.
They treated our family with such love and care. Tramaine did an amazing job from start to finish, I could not have asked for a better coordinator.
I had heard about Gregory B Levett Funeral Home from a few friends and when my mother passed away on 8/2/18 I called them and they arrived at the hospice care facility to take her body, Eric was so kind and gentle with my mother and made this extremely sad situation go so smoothly. Krystal worked with me at the funeral home, she was very caring and patient with me as my mind was racing a million miles a minute in planning and choosing all the things needed for my mothers homegoing service. The entire team at Gregory B Levett are very professional and give you a high level of excellence and efficiency. My mother looked absolutely beautiful at her viewing on 8/17/18 and the day of her service on 8/18/18 went off without a single problem....my heartfelt thanks to Krystal, Eric, William and Yasmin...may God continue to bless you richly.
Where do I start...Death is never an easy path to walk, but I must say Gregory B. Levett & Sons (Lawrenceville Location) made the path as smooth as possible. I want to make a special note about Eric Smith, thank you my brother for your warm spirit. It felt as if he knew my father, and that customer service was needed so much during such a tough week. Eric made sure each of our requests were made and he was available to assist our (many) questions throughout the week. Most people go into business for money but Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory and Eric Smith is in this business for purpose and ministry! Thanks again for your support and service.Vincent Van Jr.
My first encounter with Krystal Hill came from the loss of one of my 7 brothers. At this vulnerable time, my family turned to Levett & Sons to handle our brothers arrangements. My family is quite large as 13 children came from the union of my Mom and Dad. Instantly we felt safe with Krystal. She was compassionate, patient, knowledgeable, and comforting to our family. So when the Matriarch of our family passed recently, the was NO question of where we were going and who we wanted to handle our Mothers arrangements. We trust you Krystal. Thank You for your caring spirit.
The service render by the staff at Levetts at the Lawrenceville location is extremely professional. Tim Springer is the best ever. His work is impeccable. No one can compare to the service and the look of our love one. This would be my only choice to be recommend to a family.
As a new person to the area I was totally unfamiliar with funeral professionals here. I found the saff to be professional, courteous, compassionate and willing to go over and above to help a very difficult task be all I needrd it to be. Kudos to Ms. Webster who was there from beginning to the end regardless of the request. I would highly recommend Gregory B. Levett & Sons to anyone in need of funeral assistance at the worse time of your life.
I had the privilege of having Krystal Hill provide my family with services on two occasions and her “Special Care” during these times was second to none! She provided professionalism and empathy during those most needed times!
We were extremely pleased by the Care, Support and Quality of this Funeral Home Establishment and their Staff. They were with us every step of the way with whiteglove treatment! My family and I were also pleased with how they were able to really let Louis Jones look exactly like himself with an awesome haircut and grooming as he would have expected as the Master Barber that he was.My Dad trained Barbers for over 50 years to be impeccable and Tim definitely would have passed the Test with Flying Colors! Thanks Tim for using your God-Given Talents and Gifts.Erik and Yazmeen were perfect. They helped us at every turn with a Smile, Genuine Support and Concern, as well as with Quality Care!Mr. Gregory B, Levett, I thank you for calling me to follow up to ensure your staff contacted my Mom and I in a timely manner. They are valuable assets to your organization. My Family and I are truly grateful for all of you! Service is Magnificent!Thank You!Eileen, Kasha, and Jermaine Jones
My familys experience with Levett and Sons, started out good, Eric was very caring and professional, the day of my fathers memorial was a total disaster. Unfortunately Eric was not present during the memorial. The day before he assured us people handling everything would be just as knowledgeable as he was, not so. It seemed as though they were hired off the street that day. There was no music playing as we requested, no sign in book available, no music when the family walked in, no one giving direction, obituaries did not come out until everyone was seated, all the plants and flowers werent put out during service, the audio guy had no idea what he was doing, my brother had to help him. We had gone over everything with Eric day before, nothing happened as planned. Nobody called us to apologize for dropping the ball. They were not professional at all, we pretty much was on our own, very disappointing!!!!!!!!!!
We were impressed that this was the only African-American-owned funeral home in Gwinnett county but thats where the impressions end. There were an overwhelming amount of services that were very similar to each other and it was difficult to determine the difference between them to justify the pricing and when questioned, they couldnt provide an accurate response. The initial planning process was overwhelming and a bit rushed. During the days leading up to our memorial service, we received a call that the pastor/priest would call us to learn more about our loved one (this is a service we paid for; again, part of their overwhelming amount of services they offer). Several days pass and its now the day of the service and we still hadnt received a phone call. We get to the location and no one greets us and we see a box full of our programs sitting on a desk. Finally someone comes out to greet us. We inform the woman that the pastor/priest never called us and she seemed surprised. Service begins and the woman announces in front of our family and guests that the pastor/priest will not be attending; he apparently either forgot he was scheduled to speak at a service that day or he was simply a no-call, no-show. So, the woman, who was the same person who registered us in the beginning during the initial planning process was the one who oversaw/officiated our service. She recited a general prayer and then the service continued with our personal effects, which included a song that our loved one enjoyed. Since the audio quality was very poor making it extremely difficult to even hear the lyrics, she decided to read the lyrics outloud after the song ended. 33 minutes (out of 60) later at the end of the service, she decided to provide us with an autobiography of herself; again, during our memorial service she decided to speak about herself. All in all, while we appreciate her stepping in to fill the extremely unprofessional void of the pastor/priest, our experience with this funeral home was very underwhelming. We did receive a refund of the fee for the pastor/priest but this experience has left a very unpleasant memory for what should have otherwise been a loving homegoing celebration for our loved one.
Unbelievably awful ! Two 1/2 hours into the viewing the family is told that they will move the body into a different room (Main room) . That is where the body was supposed to be at the beginning of the service. When I asked the funeral director if the family was told that they would be moving the body in the middle of the showing he said NO. I asked if this was a normal routine to move the body after 25 people are here viewing the body and grieving he said YES I have NEVER seen this done in my life. Poorly arraigned regardless of cost (which I do not know cost) I would never recommend their services. It felt like they had over booked the main room and expected others to just except it and wait without saying anything upfront. At that point nothing can be done to change locations, and they knew it. I know that nothing is perfect, however show a little respect and sympathy for the grieving family. Its not about money, its about showing you truly care.
I cant say enough about Gregory Levett Funeral Home. The facility is well kept and the pricing is affordable. Krystal Hill was amazing!! She was professional, empathetic and compassionate. Thank you for making my gma homegoing smooth and stress free.
Myself and family received exceptional service from this funeral home.Everyone was very professional and made our sad time a little easier.Thank You very much.
They are thorough compassionate considerate and their attention to detail was to the point.it felt like we were planning our mothers home going with family instead of a business. I highly recommend them..
The staff was very compassionate and understanding in assisting me with my the lost of my love one.
The entire staff was very helpful, courteous with the up most respect. They walk me threw the entire process, answered all of my questions, they took care of everything for me.I will be forever grafeful. This is mey second time going to this location in Lawrenceville..Thank you from my entire family! God Bless you! Anita Brown
My family members services were handled by them, it was awful. Rude when they answered the phone, I never saw the family members obituary posted. I called several times no truthful answers, just sad. We live out of state and could get no help, very disappointing.
What do people need in their darkest hour (besides our Heavenly Father, family, and friends)?....Gregory B. Levett’s Funeral Home. Period! Sudden death takes your breath away and may have you feeling like you don’t know if you’re coming or going. Calling Levett’s and having Eric Smith walk alongside of my family helped us to find our way through. From my first initial call with my hands and voice shaking from grief to the follow up calls AFTER the Celebration of Life for my beautiful niece...professionalism, care and support from Eric helped me all the way. He did everything he said he would do and beyond. So compassionate, so knowledgeable, so detailed and attentive and yet so much more! What do I think about Levett’s?...they are experts...the best in the business...and promise keepers sent by the Keeper of my soul for a time such as this and I and truly thankful.
I CANNOT say enough about the services rendered by Gregory B. Levett & Sons in Lawrenceville! From the beginning to the end, nothing but top-notch care, professionalism and expertise and the assignment was not without its complications because our family had 2 services; 1 there in Lawrenceville and the other in California. Eric Smith in a word (or two) is simply par excellence! I cannot say enough about this young man. He went above and beyond in all aspects! The service in Lawrenceville went off without a single hitch. Eric delivered on his promise, even without his presence that day. The staff took over and knew EXACTLY what we wanted and executed with precision. Jazz music was playing as we requested while guests were arriving and as we processed in, sign in book, programs, flowers, pedestals and Dads portrait positioned and available when we arrived, staff providing direction, music queuing for the vocalist was on point, help with flowers after the service, everything was perfection. Even with the added complication of updating the programs with the California details and having them ready in time for our flight out for the 2nd service in Los Angeles, shipping my Dads remains and portrait to L.A. in time for the service and the interment which included military honors, all handled expertly and efficiently by Eric who coordinated directly with the L.A. mortuary to ensure that everything proceeded smoothly and precisely as wed planned. Every single detail was executed flawlessly and the 2nd service in L.A. was just as beautiful as the 1st. Eric put in hours of hard work and diligence, strict attention to detail, anticipated what we needed before we thought of it, persistence with follow through with the USAF to have military honors for the interment (which required acquiring my Dads DD-214), acquiring death certificates, and with the L.A. mortuary for their receipt of my Dads remains, all while continuously following up and informing me of the status on EVERYTHING! He even went so far as to perform a quick review of the program with me from the airport before catching a flight out for his vacation, all which put my mind totally at ease. What more can I say, at one of the most traumatic, emotional, sensitive and stressful times in your life, Gregory B. Levett and Sons in Lawrenceville is bar none, the mortuary for handling all of your needs.
There were no flowers or obituary cards available. Showing was not complete. Not as what I am or would expect for a showing. I knew this individual very well and did not expect this showing for this family.
Very professional and will work with you.
Professional services from compassionate people.
