First impressions are lasting ones, for certain . First the warmth and super friendliness I felt from management was so welcoming and reassuring . I truly appreciated that . Next, I can’t even begin to truly put into words the care that I’ve been receiving from my Therapist Simone . She has truly been a driving force behind my journey to heal . Her professionalism, knowledge and expertise is phenomenal. I walked in with a ton of baggage, that I felt I could never break free from no matter how hard I tried . This baggage has become so heavy, weighing down my core existence, Feeling like I’ve tried everything to heal under the sun and nothing was working . Until I landed here . I thank you so much for giving me a therapist, I feel was perfect for me . Needless to say, I’m healing and the bags are falling off my shoulders . I’m so grateful to her and Truly it’s so hard to find the words to express how eternally grateful I am . All I can say, If I could scream from the mountain tops I would and wouldn’t stop . Because I feel so AMAZING to have found a place like this . To have found what I’ve been missing in my life, that I needed a long time ago . When I decided to come to Thriveworks, I was extremely uncomfortable because I tried counseling many years ago and didnt feel like it helped. But I was a wreck and I felt like I should give it another chance. I was so anxious on my first visit and wanted to bolt, but I didnt. I was still skeptical after my 2nd visit but I felt like I should give it a few times and not give up right away. Im so glad I stayed.Ive been seeing Maricela for almost 6 months now and shes amazing. She has awesome energy and she is incredibly kind and Ive trusted her since about my third visit in. I have had many meltdowns in her office, and she has listened to every single one and made me feel totally safe letting everything out. Ive learned and grown so much since I first started coming here, and Maricela doesnt ever get frustrated with me when sometimes I dont let myself grasp the lessons she teaches me. I dont think I get enough characters in my review to talk about what an awesome experience this has been and how much I look forward to continuing counseling here.Also, the other staff there has been super helpful and got me in the very next day when I first called for help. The office is very clean and well maintained and its very inviting and comforting with the smells, the little decals on the walls, and happy music. Maricelas office is also very inviting and she makes me feel like its totally normal to come in there and talk her ear off. She has never made me feel like what I have to say is not important. I highly recommend this place, but especially Maricela. Shes literally the best and I consider myself very lucky to have been placed in her care.

My very first experience participating in therapy was incredible and honestly life-changing. I am beyond forever grateful to have met Ms. Simone Jones. She was professional and ultimately very helpful to me working through this process. Ive acquired so much wisdom, perspective and healing from our sessions. She was attentive and provided a space that I could be comfortable. Weve had great laughs, hard discussions and even much needed tears. I would highly recommend her and am looking forward to applying all that Ive learned.

Thriveworks is one of the most safest places to be able to express feelings. My personal experience have been nothing but positive since the day I started. I look forward to coming to therapy every week to see Simone Jones, she is the best and the most down to earth therapist I have every met and she has made it very comfortable to talk to even in my darkest time. Simone goes the extra mile to show me I am valued and appreciated. I feel that I am worth more than just a patient. When I have a bad day I leave out feeling very refreshed and at ease. Thriveworks definitely lives up to their name, I thrive to be better, do better, and feel better.

My life felt like it was spiraling and taking a turn for the worse mentally. I don’t know where I would be within these past few months if it wasn’t for Rod . “ Misery is a choice but so is happiness “ has been my ultimate go to tool that he has given me and I couldn’t be more grateful. It hasn’t been a walk through the park but it’s definitely been easier since he’s taken the time out to believe in me . Thank you Rod for being my guardian Angel here on earth . My kids and I have been attending counseling with Simone Jones she is so attentive honest and very respectful my kids have a hard time opening up to people and she has made them feel happy to open to her as well as myself. Although, I know it will be a long road and hope that Simone will be in it for the long haul. This is one of the most comfortable safest places. I love the environment, everyones so nice and helpful!My Counselor Maricela Mergy, is literally the best, I didnt THINK I NEEDED therapy, BUT shes healing me and helping with things I didnt even know needed help. Shes understanding, she always available.. she makes my days so much better. Shes considerate, helpful, VERY knowledgeable... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER. SHES THE BEST!Thanks Thriveworks!

You should not charge people for canceling last minute if it is their first visit. With this pandemic, people can not always know 24 hours in advance, especially me with a newborn. Babysitters cancel last minute. You shouldn’t take a credit card until people come in physically for their first visit and sign consent forms. There are plenty of other places that do not charge for first time cancellations. You guys need to do better. Please don’t respond explaining with your generic response. I’ll be looking for a new place.

Basically stole my money and never got session. The therapist ghosted me when I needed help. I will never work with this company again

They gave me an intern who was using science from 30 years ago to tell me that Im going to grow old and be a vegetable and never make any progress and Then he said verbatim that what Im doing is like wearing a mask to prevent covid, it doesnt workIve never felt insulted by a therapist in my life before but today it happened, it would do you guys Justice to get rid of him before he becomes a full therapist while he is an intern so that you dont have people have such a negative experience that they dont want to come back

This is my first therapy journey and it has been amazing, Maricela Mergy is amazing and she makes it a very comfortable and safe/open experience.

Whatever you do, do NOT get seen by Rodney Johnson. Horrible person in general, awful personality, was cold and uncaring from the start. Asked me very basic level questions, disregarded my history of mental illness and my concerns about depression, and looked me in the eyes and told me I have “milennial-itis” in the most hostile and aggressive way. He then spent the next 20 minutes lecturing me about being unemployed EVEN THOUGH I explained to him several times I was going to school full-time. What a joke of a human being. Leaving a 1-star because Thriveworks is okay with having this absolute clown represent their company. Do not trust this guy with your mental health, he won’t take it seriously.

My abusers were violating my privacy rights and wasnt brought to my attention. I left. Its an ongoing circumstance where I go to get help but still, thats my privacy rights

I ran and worked in behavioral health offices for a couple years. Ive worked with many professionally and personally. The therapist Im seeing weekly via telehealth for 7 months now, is very good. The quality of care is good. I always feel heard and the interventions have made a positive impact in my progression. With the help of Elaine, Ive successfully navigated some pretty serious life events, stressors, and emotional traumas. Its very important to me that I see a fully licensed clinician who is committed to their work vs being shuffled from intern to intern ranging in knowledge and ability to build rapport.

Virgil at Thriveworks has done an amazing job with my son. My son lost a very close cousin to suicide and was battling with his own demons at the time. Virgil really helped him through the loss of his cousin and how to better cope with his own feelings and emotions.

Amy is amazing. After seeing two other therapists, Amy was able to finally figure out my mental illness and pointed me to the right psychiatrist who verified the diagnosis and got me on the right medication. Her weekly sessions with me have been more helpful than I can put into words! If you are seeking a therapist, I very highly recommend you get in touch with her. Her knowledge, understanding and caring is extraordinary. 100 stars for Amy Cosner!

Terrible admin, unsafe office policies. They charged me $120 per week instead of my $15 copay after they approved my insurance (AETNA POS). I filled out my insurance info and it was approved, however THEY wrote it out wrong so rather than get in contact with me they over charged me for 3 weeks. Ultimately they did fix it but their decision making was terrible. I stayed with them for about 6 weeks before enough was enough. There is alot better options out there.

Thriveworks has been a great fit for me! I have appreciated the time and support of my counselor and have been pleased with the growth and insight I have gained during our sessions. When we were going to the office it was always clean and peaceful and since we started social distancing the video calls have always been on time and without any connection problems. Everything has worked well and I have not experienced any problems with Thriveworks for the past 6 months since I began therapy. I highly recommend.

They charge more than an actual appointment would cost for any late cancellation. I have been a good customer, and had family emergency that caused me to cancel late. They make no exceptions, and are very rude. Also the counselors have more medical problems than I do, so therapy is not very effective.

Just spoke with this office to schedule an appointment, they advertise that they accept out of network PPO and POS plans, but they declined to accept BCBS of TN PPO plan. Which is false advertisement on their website. Providers love to claim that insurance carriers dont pay their claims, but will never admit that a lot of times, they are seeing patients without prior authorization. Its not that hard to do...pick up the phone, call for an authorization, and if you dont receive one, THEN deny seeing the patient. Unfortunately, most physicians are not aware that their staff is not doing their jobs to ensure payment of their claims. Its always the insurance companys fault...

Elena is amazing. She has been helping me for 6 weeks now. She makes sure you feel welcomed and comfortable to speak. Ive never been able to talk to anyone about anything. I was comfortable enough to let everything out on my first visit. Thank you so much all your help! I will continue my visits.

You Will Need a Credit Card. For Canceling up front. Before you even get an appointment.. to be a therapeutic session with someone to help you. The credit card process takes the authenticity and the genuineness out of it.. the receptionist also seem very robotic. which is also not very authentic when calling for therapy.

Really love this office and my counselor. My counselor Eric is the best listener and I feel refreshed after every session. I cant wait for the pandemic to be over to continue my counseling.

The place is very nice and clean. The staff are great. High five to the counselor that I have my appointments with. Very good and professional mannered.

Elena is a great counselor. She is very knowledgeable and knows her stuff I’ve seen dozens and she is as good as any. She was born to do this and I’m glad I found her

If I could give them a zero I would. Highly unprofessional. I have 2 teenage daughters who are suffering from depression one of which is self harming .they tell me if I dont give them my credit card inginformatover the phone they will not schedule even an initial visit. First off this is not legal. I work in healthcare and know that in order to hold a patients card info you have to have something signed in the office AND you have to have a copy of the card on file. I told them I dont feel comfortable giving that information so they refused to schedule them. Believe me my next call was to the board for marriage and family therapists. How dare they try to do something illegal and then turn around and give me an attitude when I refuse to give in. EDIT: Obviously due to the generic type response give. They did not understand my complaint. I do understand trying to combat no call no shows however to ask a potential new patient for credit card information over the phone is risky to their identify as there are certain things you should never disclose to anyone over the phone. I dont know your staff from Adam therefore it is extremely concerning that they would ask for something like that prior to ever establishing me as a patient. Not to mention it is illegal to run a persons card without their signed consent. Therefore prior to me coming in and consenting to your policy of charging a fee for no call no shows it is illegal to charge my card for anything at all. It would be far better if you waited to ask for that information at their first appointment once they are actually in your office as an established patient not t prior to them ever stepping foot in your door. As a healthcare professional I hope anyone you charge prior to getting signature on file files a charge back with their bank and gets every penny back because thats a bit too far.

My family absolutely loves this place, my aunt was recommended to go there for alcohol addiction counseling, all of the workers and staff were very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place if youre interested in seeking counseling.
