Las Vegas like many places does not offer a wealth of quality mental health care services. Since the ACA enabled more people to access these services ..Dr.Okeke’s office has done a more comprehensive job of providing care than most. A standard visit here includes triage with a qualified healthcare person. questions about patient overall status..medication review..weigh in..BP. This is the only psychiatric outpatient service I have visited that does that. This info is entered on computer and immediately available to the care provider you see on your appointment. I have been a patient here for over seven years. It isn’t a flawless situation. But Dr. Okeke has been willing to meet a system that is in perpetual overload..a system at large that suffers from a shortage of caregivers. When I have on occasion had a problem with staff or communicating a problem, it does get resolved. If there was better financing for mental health care in general, Grand Desert Psychiatric Services would continue to widen its services. It is designed to meet the needs of people seeking mental healthcare.

My dr thought it would be a good idea to let me go without my meds some of which can give me seizures if I go off suddenly . And last month tried to charge50 cash for a letter saying what meds I take and some othergeneralinfoonmyvisits. Way to keep your hypocratic oath dr. Keep up the creepy bad work. I can believe the difference a few years make in how Drs treat their patients. $$$ first our health is not even second. SMH

Amazing!! I was so pleasantly surprised by Dr. Michael Arceo, and what would normally be a common Drs. Visit. This Dr. is really extraordinary. He was so smart and such a good communicator that I really was informed regarding the drugs that could help me. I very rarely leave reviews however I want to tell everyone about this Dr. he was great and I felt immediately better after having met with him. The medications he recommended and prescribed are already helping me to feel better.

I am very thankful for Dr. Arceo. Under his care, he made me into a more mature human being and helped me deal with my bipolar disorder and schizophrenia with the right medications. My life is significantly better thanks to him. The office is very clean and wait times are short. Staff is also very friendly and its easy to schedule an appointment.

Ive had terrible tics for years and seen several doctors for them, but Dr. Arceo is by far the best Ive had. He always takes the time to explain his thought process to me so that I understand why taking a new medication should help. He has been extremely attentive to my needs, hes a great guy, and hes easy to talk to. All things I want in a doctor. I would strongly recommend him to absolutely anyone.

The worst ! Not only is the one psychiatrist not able to see female patients because of his own legal problems ! But they never know what they’re doing or able to help when patients need it! And if they are they try to charge for every document as if it’s something you’ve caused!

Upon my first visit with Dr. Arceo and his office, I was off put because he was so inviting and warm. As a person with PTSD and everything else under the sun, Ive known a lot doctors, and havent always enjoyed my visits with them. Needless to say, I havent had the most positive experiences with previous doctors. I was surprised to find how compassionate and understanding Dr. Arceo was of my needs and experiences. He somehow found a way to help me understand a regime that was perfectly suited to my needs. As a person, I feel my visits with Dr. Arceo has definitely helped change my life for the better.

We have LOVED Dr. Arceo. However the office staff has admitted to forgetting to check us in so weve waited for hours for our appointment. And today, after 2 days and 8 phone calls they told us they submitted a prior authorization to insurance we needed 3 days ago. When talking to insurance they confirmed that was a lie and it had only been submitted that day. Because of their lack of organization we had to pay out of pocket for some meds. With the diagnosis of this patient we really cant let him skip medication. They didnt give us any info until I drove down there. Very unorganized and unprofessional. However, we love Dr. Arceo. Will be looking to transfer the patient to another office because we cant risk having to continue paying out of pocket because they ignore our calls.

My experience with Dr. Arceo was incredible to say the least. He made me feel extremely comfortable to be there. Prior to seeing him, my doctor had me on multiple medications and I was not feeling any better. Dr. Arceo was able to find a medication that would not only make me feel better, but make me feel like a whole new person. He is extremely knowledgeable about the medications he prescribes, and makes sure you understand the medication you are taking as well. I would definitely recommend giving him a try. He is a professional, and provides you with a relaxing feeling. It was easy to open up about my problems because I did not feel judged. If you need a new doctor, Dr. Arceo is the person to go to.

I went to Grand Desert Psychiatric Services on Friday, June 7 at 1:00 pm. I was referred to them by Dr. Evan Allen, MD who is my Primary Care Doctor. The psychiatrist, Dr. Okeke, prescribed me Vistaril (Hydroxyzine Pam 25 mg) and Zoloft (Sertraline HCL 50 mg) because of my Depression/Anxiety. Ive been having increasingly intense migraines and headaches, I was told to change my diet/lifestyle to deal with them. I switched to a vegetarian diet and increased physical activity as well as to increase my hours of sleep each night, I still am getting these headaches. So that is why I sought out a psychiatrist.I was prescribed medication and told to do a two-week follow up, but the next available appointment that they were able to give me was on Monday, July 8 by 2:00 pm.I filled the Zoloft, but when I contacted CVS they said that the other prescription (Hydroxyzine Pam 25 mg; aka Vistaril) is on back-order and would be in by at 5 pm. But when I came in on that day after work they said its on permanent back-order and they cant fill the prescription so I was instructed to contact my doctor to be prescribed a different medication entirely. On Wednesday, June 12 at 3:51 pm. The exchange went like called the doctors office: Call the pharmacy and tell them that you need a note saying that they wont fill your prescription.Pharmacy: We dont have any notes, have the doctors office call us and they can talk to the pharmacist to verify.Doctors office: They can fax the note to us, but if they cant then they should call us to let us know that they cant fill the prescription.Pharmacy: Okay we will call the doctor to see what we can switch it to.Then when I called back to check on Tuesday, June 18 the pharmacy said the doctors office had not gotten back to them so they were waiting on a return call from the doctors office. I called the doctors office on Tuesday, June 18 at 3:00 pm and they said that they would look into the matter and to wait to hear back from them.I called back on Thursday, June 20 at 8:53 am, to check the status and the receptionist (Angelica) said that they didnt see anything in my file about what the situation is. I would need to wait for the medical assistant to contact me to see what the status is.I called back at 10:55 am to see if the medical assistant was available to speak with and the representative (Shanice) said that they would pass along messages as soon as they were available so I needed to wait. I am still waiting, there is no sense of urgency or care that I’ve seen demonstrated by the staff or the doctor. I’ve given more than enough chances and opportunities to remedy this situation, I’m still getting the run around if they don’t want me as a patient just say so but don’t leave me sitting here ringing my hands.

Wanted to give them a fair shot, so I stuck to the prescriptions for a few months. However, it wasnt hard to notice that my inability to focus when awake and fall asleep before 4:00am were not going to be resolved here. In fact, the treatment given only made it worse.

Dr Okeke Is by far the worst Psychiatrist / doctor I have ever met in my life and I have seen a lot. He has no care for the patient and only cares about the paycheck. He types if you words in his computer see was with the symptoms he may be interested in .... I was on something that works for seven years and he took me off of it which has now caused me to spiral down words. I came in trying to treat depression and now I’m even worse. Shame on you and you should be fired

Horrible and unprofessional treatment by Dr. Okeke and his office staff. After an initial appointment, I was told that I would be receiving some biofeedback treatment or something similar as well as scheduled for one on one counseling with a therapist. I was also given a prescription for a medicine that I had already been taking for 3 years and told to return in a month. When I checked out at the desk, they did not schedule my 2 therapies ordered. When I got home I called to try to schedule them and was told they would get back to me. After more than a week of several attempts to solve this issue, I received no callback, texts, emails, nothing. Also after receiving my prescription from the pharmacy, I found out it was for only a 15 day supply, which wasnt even enough to medicate me till my next scheduled appointment. After repeated attempts to get any type of help or solution to these issues without any reply, I canceled my upcoming appointment and will find a new psych doctor who cares and follows through with his promises for treatment. I will also add that on the day my first appointment, Dr. Okeke was more than 2 hours late and none of his patients were notified or given any option to make alternative arrangements and all were quite disgruntled with some walking out and others expressing their displeasure. Avoid this office at all costs.

Dr. Arceo is amazing!! Hes the type of dedicated employee we should all strive to be. Dr. Arceo truly cares.. not the appeasing- Im pretending to care attitude.. He really does care. If you have a difficult diagnosis, he takes the time to figure it out. Almost like its a personal challenge. Hes not just going to throw any diagnosis out there without knowing thats its correct. He asks a lot of questions and is not afraid to open his books which is a great thing, because face-it, not many of us remember everything that we learned in college (not me) or even secondary schooling. We remember what we like. When a doctor opens a book that means hes staying on top of current medical information and he cares enough to open the book. I wish all doctors were that thorough. In my opinion Dr. Arceo is if Mayo clinic calibur.

Absolutely horrible staff, doctor never spent more then 5 minutes with my child only refilled meds each time after we waited anywhere between 4-6 hours. They called me the day of our appointment to tell me they no longer took my insurance and we could not be seen and meds would not be refilled. They agree they made the changes in carriers over two months ago but failed to notify us. Disgrace to mental health services.
