I have not had a bad experience from day one. I must say that Desiree is freaking awesome at what she does. She has kept her word when reaching back out and has the answer for my questions. She is awesome and my Dr Patrick cant spell the last name is freaking awesome and understands what I am going through. Also the two girl in the front at the GV location. They do a great job and all work as a great team.
My experience with the professional staff has been great. The office staff sucks! Ive been trying to call and pay my bill and I never get anyone to speak to of even a call back to my messages. There automated attendant references a patient portal but does not explain how to access it! I have to say there is room for improvement.
Just had my first visit with Dr. Josh Clemmer, and I have to stay that he is amazing! (For background, I am in school to be a psychologist so I usually have some animosity for psychiatrists because they often just immediately throw medication at a problem they hardly understand). He spent 30 minutes asking me tons of questions just for a refill of a medication I’ve been prescribed for 3 years, and wants to do another follow up in a month, and regular follow up’s every 3 months. This may seem excessive to some, but it is BEYOND NECESSARY in this field. Thank you Dr. Clemmer for being so responsible! Please never compromise that. Best experience in a psychiatrists office ever. I can really tell he cares about his work and his patients. Thank you!
He literally had his hand holding up his head as I spoke....he made me feel like I wasnt even in the room... The look on his face the whole time was he didnt care nor believe me. then he wrote a prescription strength Benadryl for my severe anxiety....#humiliated#Unseen#unheard
Horribly suited for military active duty clients. Didn’t have connection to do their tele health appointment via video chat. Had to drive off base to try and get connection got a call through and they no-showed me and charged me $50. Will not be returning due to their lack of grace for a one time no-show and for their lack of flexibility to call rather than video chat for those who work in locations that lack connection.
I am surprised at many of the poor reviews. I have been a patient for a year and my life has been totally changed for the better. After 56 years of suffering from Bi-Polar disorder I finally have a life. It’s been a transformation beyond my wildest imagination. I have never had any issues with contacting the practice or getting medication or video conferencing my provider. My personal experience has only been positive. This truly changed my life.
This place is horrible and the staff have no compassion for the patients. It is now July 23rd and Ive been Calling for a refill of my medications since July 7th only to be told Ive missed three appointments one of which was August of last year another in January of this year and again they say within the last month which by the way they canceled because they called me the day before my appointment and left a message saying they were canceling my appointment if I didnt pay aoff my balance by the next morning. So unprofessional at this point. Ive had 3 changes of doctors since Ive been there.
My partner had an appointment for 4:30pm. The doctor is 30 mins late and we checked in and everything. Cant call the office because it closes at 4:30pm. Cant believe this.
Everyone is very friendly, however it is extremely difficult to get in contact with both the front desk staff (because of virtual bookings/appointments) and my dr there. Its very frustrating and theres no sense of urgency.
THE ABSOLUTE WORST! Rude and unprofessional, unknowledgeable staff. Olivia is condescending and unfortunately has the power to mess with peoples lives and purposely get a short term disability claim denied. She gets to hide behind a computer ( that doesn’t connect most of the time) and diagnose people !!!!!!Unbelievable that they call themselves “HEALTHCARE HEROS” Try working the actually frontlines and see how they hold up!
After an excruciatingly long, anxiety filled, two month wait until my video appntmnt, I was given conflicting instructions for getting to the video apptmnt: a link to the visit in an email and also a text with instructions to download an app that I couldnt log into, because I wasnt given log in information. I chose the former, because when I clicked on the link, there was no log in info necessary. My appntmnt was supposed to be at 1:15. I was told in the email to log on 15 minutes early. As I waited, the website absolutely treated me to a chime noise every 30 seconds or so. The 15 minutes came and went and there was no doctor. Another 15 minutes of hearing chimes went by and there was no Dr. Im a reasonable man and I know things happen, so lets give them 15 more minutes, and would you believe it! Kidding, still no Dr. I decide to make a phone call that I know wont be picked up, because I havent, up until this point, ever had a phone call answered by this place. It makes sense, because in the couple of times Ive been to their office, theyve only had one person doing intake/outtake, not answering ringing phones, taking appntmnts, etc. There is no answer, as expected. I leave a message wondering what Im supposed to do. So, as Im an obvious glutton for punishment, I get back on the site and wait another couple minutes. We are at about 56 minutes of waiting and hearing chimes. I get a text message from the office saying, This is FMHS, to let you know that your provider is running behind, please stay logged onto your visit in the screen that states Waiting for ____ to Join and they will connect with you once they are ready. Thank you for your patience.(THIS MSG DOES NOT ACCEPT REPLIES). This is already helping my anxiety. I knew I came to the right place. At this point, Ill tell you that I was at work that day and had set aside an hour for this appointment and had to get back to work. Im a delivery driver right now (thanks Covid). I put in my wireless earbuds and stay logged into the website and start my next delivery route. Dont worry, my phone was on the passenger seat, open to the website that brings endless chimes. No texting and driving here. I push through the chimes some more until I get a phone call from the office. The woman on the phone asked me if I was logged into the site. I say yes. She says the Dr. just tried to join the video and I wasnt in the room. I was. I asked if I was supposed to be on the website or the app. She said either one. I said I didnt have any log in info for the app, so Im using the website. She says I was supposed to get log in information for the app before the appntmnt. I didnt. She asked if I was on the phone with her with the same phone that was logged into the website. I say yes. She tells me it wont work if Im talking on the phone. I say, well, Id better hang up then, eh?. She says the doctor will try again.I wait another 5 minutes and get a call from another woman. She proceeded to tell me I missed my appntmnt because I was driving when I should have been waiting patiently for my appntmnt. I said I had been waiting patiently for about an hour before I started driving, and that I was still logged on and waiting when I was driving, even if for just a voice call at this point. I asked what happened to the Dr. She didnt say. I asked her who she was. She told me her name. I asked for her job title. She put me on hold and I then I got the absolute pleasure of talking with the office manager. She stated her name and job title and told me I missed the appntmnt and it was my fault for driving while I was supposed to be waiting. I explained that I waited for over an hour before starting to drive. She told me I had missed my appntmnt and they would have to reschedule for 3 weeks from now. I said Id waited long enough and needed something within the next couple of days. She declined and said it didnt matter because it was a 2 year check up. It wasnt. I used some choice words I regret and hung up.
My girlfriend loves her mental health physician but like many of the reviewers before me we struggle constantly to reach front desk staff no matter what the reason but it’s especially difficult to get medication refills and often she ends up going off her much needed medication cold turkey despite beginning the refill request process a week in advance. These young ladies are consistently rude and exhibit no empathy whatsoever for patients who can suffer secondary to their lack of ability to complete tasks timely!! Now that we are in the middle of a Pandemic, these struggles are amplifiedx 10!!! Very frustrating but it seems maybe it’s time to seek treatment elsewhere!!☹️
The staff will straight up lie to you about submitting authorizations for medications. I have frankly never gotten the impression once that my doctor cares about my well-being.
Front desk is horrible. Billed me inappropriately not just after one visit, but twice. Received multiple incorrect red flagged payment due notifications in my mail. And currently my doctor has sent in my rx wrong. I asked the front desk to get in touch with him to correct. They said they sent him an email Thursday. I inquired again Friday. They said they already emailed him and to wait when what doctor doesnt check his email in 24 hours? Couldnt they have maybe tried calling him, ESPECIALLY because now they are closed for the weekend. So now, due to miscommunication/incompetence/apathy, I have been off my rx cold turkey for three days. Awesome job guys. Sincerely killin it 👍
Support staff and front desk is so atrocious that it’s scary and potentially life threatening. They work in mental health and not a one of them seems to understand that this comes with inherent challenges and they are supposed to offer help not rote memorization of policies. They are inept at navigating anything on behalf of the client and only understand how to run a schedule. If there are other needs they throw their hands up and say “our schedule is full and you have to wait to talk to a doctor. If there is an emergency go to the ER. We can’t help you beyond scheduling an appointment.” Absolute garbage service. Doctors aren’t much worse than anything else Las Vegas has to offer. Finding quality in this state is a whole other issue.
I called 2 weeks ago for an appointment which was set for Wed June 26 w a 4:45 arrival and 5:45 appointment. I called yesterday to confirm my appointment for today, I was told I was set. I arrived today at 4:40. I was told I wasnt on the patient list for today. After searching for my appointment, I was told my appointment was July 11. I was offered no apology. They lady at the desk made zero attempt to correct the problem nor figure out what happened. This is exactly why Vegas has a mental health issue today, groups such as these that have no concern for people with mental health issues.
I have been dealing with Bi-polar since 1984 and this so called psychiatrist office that does not have a psychiatrist there only a physician assistant that is new in the field of mental health and does not have a clue about what she is doing is the worst doctors office I have ever been to. I only went there 3 times and each time was worst than the time before. Goodbye and good riddance. They need a real psychiatrist on staff.
Been a patient for Focus Mental Health for several years. The staff are congenial and helpful and the physicians are great practitioners.
I’ve literally been calling all day and no one has answered the phone. Terrible customer service or maybe a new receptionist is needed. 0 stars.
Had a great appointment with Dr Alshaikh.
