I have been a patient of SNAMHS since 2014. At first, I thought it was a good and safe place to be since they have State licenses. But the treatment team here is the worst. They dont follow strictly to HIPAA guidelines and discuss other patients history and info publicly without regard. Case management is awful. One time, I had a complaint on Alan Bumacods handling of my case. His supervisor, January Prince just interrogated me like I was in a court trial(whatever you say to them will be used against you). Anyway, dont let them be your rep payees if you have Social security benefits because they have always mismanaged mine especially Alan. Hes unprofessional and will say no to my every suggestion on how to pay my rent without them issuing checks since Quail Ridge started accepting only online payments and at CheckFreePay locations. In the end, my rent payment was still funded in my government card from SNAMHS, but I had to pay my landlord a $27 late fee which is from my benefits even though its SNAMHS fault in the first place why my rent payment is late. Also, theres a very vile nurse here named Marisol. She talks so arrogantly to patients. One time I had to get a shot and she told my psychiatrist to tell me to wait in the lobby but she doesnt have any patient to assist at the time. So I waited another hour just sitting there.Theres also an African American that works there with an attitude. She asks my birthdate everytime I go there like, we already have a yellow form with our details to fill out. I mean, is she illiterate or cant she understand my date of birth? She yells at me like Im not human. Thats all I have to say.

So far they have stolen stimulus money from clients. That is why they lost some of their contracts and why some insurances will not pay them anymore or work with them.

VERY INPOLITE PEOPLE WORK HERE!!!!!

Some of the staff are helpful and engaging, others are borderline hostile. People seeking treatment for mental health ought not have to deal with antagonists in their own doctors office. If you need medication and have no other options then I would suggest you visit them. If you have options, choose another.

I literally just called this place twice and was hung up on by a gentleman with a deep voice. I have never ventured out to find a mental health provider and this is not a great way to start. If you’re not dedicated to the job QUIT! There are people actually looking for assistance and there’s people like this guy that doesn’t care at all.

They are a horrible service no help. You call and they don’t answer. Waste of tax payers dollars. Mental health services in NV is a joke. There are no treatment facilities which provide mental health treatment for state insurance (Medicaid) and there are so many homeless people in NV 100% whom have mental health issues. If we put the money we put in jail into mental health, this would be a much better town to live in.

Terrible service the RN wouldnt give me benozodiazipines for panic attacks even though Ive been on them since 1985. She tried to put me on an expensive mood stabilizer not covered by insurance. She treated me like an ignorant child even though I was diagnosed before she probably was in grade school and I ended up in emergency with horrible symptoms from improper detoxification. Found a clinic that put me back on a proper benzo and generic mood stabilizer. Dont move to Nevada if you have any MI they treat you like trash!!!!!

If there is a negative star, I would have given it. I came in and there was no patient waiting, and yet the latina receptionist near the bathroom seems busy and agitated. When I approached her, she gave me a weird unwelcoming look with a raised eyebrow which i found very rude. I told her I need to see someone for my condition, its my first time here. She replied, the doctor only see walk-ins 8-9am, I dont know if the nurse would be able to see you!Few minutes after I filled out the form, a nurse called my name. I asked how she was and I just got ignored. During the interview, the nurse seemed unwelcoming as well, maybe because they were about to close in an hour. I felt more uncomfortable than ever. To make the story short, the nurse were unable to help me because I dont have insurance. While the nurse walked me out of the hallway, she sympathized with me on how bad she feels with my condition, while other employees heard her (things like this should be discussed behind closed doors!).I regret coming to these place because of the unwelcoming attitude these people have in a public mental health service they work for. These people were not able to practice basic customer service skills, what more of the therapeutic communication they should have in a medical setting. I dont know how these people even have a job in this medical field if they dont know how to deliver proper initial interaction.
