Long distance move. Northern isn’t really a moving company, they’re just middlemen who contract it to a 3rd party company. We got Moveon Moving (BBB rating 2.7 out of 5) - a company who showed up with the full liability protection crossed off even though the federal law requires them to offer it. Incredibly deceptive consultants - they will low ball your estimate to get you through the door. Our consultant Dean refused to do an in-person tour or even a video tour. They put the onus on you to report every single item you have, so they can claim ignorance and raise your price at the last minute (our estimate went from $6000 to almost $14k).Loaded our stuff on 4/26. Were told our goods will get there around May 10th at the latest by Norther. Received our goods on 6/4. Quote includes no liability insurance. They damaged many large item and many smaller items due to poor handling, loading, and storing. They ruined our new walls and floors while moving in. We’ve hired a lawyer. That should say it all. They tried to prevent us from writing a review by offering us $600, but we declined so we could warn others. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE.Our goods sat in a warehouse until END OF MAY. They tell us they have to charge us extra $1200 for a shuttle. We asked about the shuttle before loading, and both the Northern rep and the MoveOn said that they looked at our address on GPS and it looks like our complex should accommodate a shuttle. Our total cost went from an estimated 6k to nearly $14,000.Day of the move: the driver parks about 20-30 minutes away from our residence to load a smaller truck. They driver told us he’s the only one from MoveOn, the rest of the team was hired from a Facebook group. Basically, amateurs and not professional movers – and it showed. They gouged our wall badly, put some large dings by the stairs. The wood floor was damaged due to not using any protection. They get the first load unloaded, then drive 40 minute round trip with a new load.At approximately 8pm, driver tells us that he and the hired helpers had to leave. Driver had to drive back with a different load the next day. So we learned the real reason for the shuttle: so the big rig could get loaded with a new load while our stuff got unloaded at the same time! Again, realize that this was a full service move – meaning they were suppose to unload, move boxes/furniture into the correct room, and unpack boxes if we requested. None of that happened.

If we could give negative stars I would!This experience for my family noting but anxiety and to be honest probably illegal.My dad was moving from California to Florida to take care of my grandma. First they rescheduled pick up three times, costing extra days rent. Then they took over a month to actually deliver our items, we were calling every few days to follow up and they began screening calls.FINALLY after 30 days my dad received his “items”. Destroyed! Vandalized! Robbed! And there were other peoples items mixed into our boxes... lastly someone tried to break into his safe. Furniture, art and family photos destroyed forever :(.My dad was obviously upset when after paying $4000 they began unloading broken items, so the driver left.. did not bring anything inside or set anything up.Literally zero integrity... why would anyone move a truck full of broken items across country a month later and then drop them off at your door??... and charge you $4000. No call, no apology or explanation.Worst experience ever.
They were not clear up front about how long it would take to deliver my load. I was initially led to believe that it would be 1-2 weeks. It has now been 3 weeks from the pick up date and I just learned that it will be another 4-5 weeks!! Worst experience ever. I could have driven a U-Haul back and forth across the country twice in less time and for less money. And the thing is, if Id just known how long up front I could have done some things differently and it wouldnt have been so bad. But its how misleading they are that is so infuriating. If you use them, just plan ahead for a 7-week wait time.
Took it upon themselves to repackage and consolidate some of my boxes. Ruined a quilt that my great-grandmother had made as a wedding gift for me 30 years ago by removing it from the vacuum sealed bag it was in and stuffing it in another box, along with a lot of arts and crafts items that snagged it an tore it. Shipped 100 individual items...received 86. Items were missing, boxes were crushed, items inside some destroyed. They even managed to crush some heavy duty CDX boxes because they set heavier items on top of them, even though they had stickers on them that said FRAGILE. I do NOT recommend this company at all.
I am still waiting for the delivery of my things. Ive been waiting since July. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau and local law enforcement out of fear my things are being held hostage. This company seems like a scam. They should not be allowed to operate. If I ever see my things again, I am terrified as to what the condition will be. This company was subcontracted by the mover I thought I hired. I dont understand how any. of this is legal. It might be time to lawyer up.
I have scheduled a move from California to North Carolina through this company. The furniture was picked up on 6/18/2021. The first available delivery date is given as 6/20/2021. Initially the broker and truck driver assured that the delivery will take 7-21 days. Today Aug 12th, it has been 55 days and no date has been provided for delivery.I have been calling them for the past 9 weeks, and various reasons has been given. We were told that the delivery was assured within 30 business days, which ended 2nd August. Also that $25 per business day will be reduced for the delay. We havent been provided a delivery date and the situation continues indefinitely. I was told that they can expedite if we pay an additional $2000, feels like they are holding the furniture hostage! I cannot afford to pay. I have repeatedly told them about our family’s plight. It has been very difficult to operate for this long causing a lot of mental stress and physical distress.
We shopped around for an affordable and reliable long distance moving company and decided to go with MoveONmoving despite the mixed reviews from previous customers, we had a wonderful staff that answered all our questions and concerns, Cathy Miller gave us our quotes then Lee and Michelle followed up with all other logistics, the movers were polite and did everything we asked them to do, delivery was on schedule and communication was done thruout the process, we definitely recommend this company.
Do not use this company! We were assigned to them from a broker and nothing good to say! Communication is awful. Customer service is nonexistent. 8 and a half hours late for both pickup and delivery! Damaged goods. No responsibilty taken for damages and lost parts. A 13k mattress completely ruined because they didnt listen to our instruction on how to transport it..... but not even going to deal with them anymore. The whole staff is awful! Steer clear
POOR customer service. Call for updates on an out of state move, its been 28 days since our first available delivery date and they have had the items a few days longer than that. Have been told truck for the move has broken down, but they cannot tell us of they are repairing the truck or getting a new truck to complete our delivery. Customer service will not transfer to boss or owner and will not transfer to dispatch to figure out what is going on with the truck. They do not update the customer about the delivery date or issue with moving truck or how its being handled to complete the move. They are hired to move peoples ENTIRE LIVES. They could be more empathetic and sympathetic to the fact they are handling peoples life and they harder to provide service and updates to people during their stressful moving experience. Instead, they proceed to just tell you they have no updated information to provide and leave you in the dark on your move. Would NOT recommend this company for any type of move. They keep telling us there isnt a truck available for her items because it has to be repaired or replaced and they cant tell us which it will be. If they didnt have a truck or a back up truck, or any urgency to fix a problem with a truck scheduled to deliver someones items, they should not take possession of their stuff if they cant even deliver it. Poor communication and poor customer service. Would NOT recommend.
UPDATE: I sent them a copy of the email receipt and finally got my money back, including the fee I paid for using a CC.Adding star. Still waiting for them to fix what they broke. Now I feel a duty to the public to let them know what kind of business they are. My hope is that they will make things right. I’ll keep the public posted on this matter.I was relocating from Arizona to California, I originally signed up with International Van Lines because they had good reviews. Unfortunately, they sold my business to MoveON Moving.I will try to keep a long story short and stick to facts. Ill start with the experience and work my way to the damages.1. The two guys picking up arrived late and were completely exhausted. They said it was their THIRD move of the day. They arrived so late and worked so slow that my storage unit closed in the middle of the move. I had to start moving things to the truck because they were going so slow. The door to my storage unit was left OPEN for the night and I had to come back at 6am to close it and then wait hours for them to get there to finish the job. I was supposed to be driving out of state but instead had to stay behind to oversee the job.2. One of the guys who showed up was angry to be there. He was cursing at the lead mover and complaining the whole time. I watched him toss around my things, drag my velvet sofa on the ground, and flip boxes marked fragile like he was flipping around a ball. Repeatedly, I had to ask him to take better care of my things.3. I watched them lift my brand new and very expensive mattress by the seams. When it arrived, it was torn open, exposing all the layers, including the springs. It was less than a year old and the first mattress I ever purchased for myself. I sent photos to the place I bought it from and they said it could not be fixed. This is the most devastating part of the move. Even the lead mover who dropped it off said his colleagues did not do a good job and the company needs to replace the mattress.4. When they were finishing the pick up, (Rushing because they were already late to their second whole-home move of the day), they put the last of my things in carelessly, including my crystal floor lamp SIDEWAYS. They said they would wrap it at the next stop. My large plants were thrown in sideways and whole branches and leaves came off.5. When a different pair of guys came to deliver my things, the truck was completely rearranged. Some things were repackaged (like my lamp, which came apart when the blankets were removed). My white dresser suddenly had a yellow stain on top of it. Scratches on the sides. I asked the guys picking up to put the base of my coffee table on top so it didnt warp. When the guys dropping off came, the base shoved in the middle of heavy boxes and totally warped.6. ITEMS MISSING!! I had a white pot for one of my trees, my silverware never arrived, cutting boards, land lord knows what else.7. International Van Lines - another HUGE pain point - had me pay $500 for a rush deliver, which I requested. I was told the delivery should come on Monday. MoveON Moving said they would not deliver until sometime the next week. It took getting International Van Lines involved again to make them deliver on a $500 extra rush delivery. They still didnt come in time and I had to stay at a hotel for more days than I budgeted for.Moving is the worst. It is stressful and you have to trust that the company you are putting your faith and hard earned money into is going to be competent. The way this company damaged my things was atrocious! My biggest concern has been my brand new mattress they completely destroyed. Hopefully, they can show they are a company of integrity and make things right.

I used a broker who hired this company. They picked up my items, left, then told me I owed them another $1K. I had a 5x10x10 storage unit (500 cubic feet) and I paid for 551 cubic feet; they said I had an additional 270 cubic feet worth of items, which obviously isnt possible considering the definitive size of the storage unit. They were also late and said they were waiving some $75 dollar fee. After they left, they would not deliver my goods until I paid the additional $1K which was never part of the agreement. Essentially holding my items for ransom and black mailing me. Do not use this company.
SCAM!!! I was quoted one rate over the phone. Then they call 6 days prior to pick up to re-go over the item list, they had a whole month to do this. 7 days prior is the cut off for a full refund by the way. Well after going over the list some how theres another $300 tacked on. On the day of pick up the driver tries to get me to not pay the weight estimate but a cubic foot estimate. I say ok thinking they would measure, NOPE. I point it out and Im told well we already started. one box had been loaded and if I cancel Im out $700. They cram your stuff in and stack so much on top that the stuff below does not stand a chance. By the end of loading they dropped multiple boxes marked fragile. Many items came out broken, including two 4K TVs, nearly all the furniture had damage or gouges. When delivery was set up they couldnt fit a semi truck in like most public places so they wanted to charge me another $300 for a U-haul, the u-haul truck rents for $75. And you have to pay cash which is sketchy on its own. And when unloading they take other peoples stuff out and put it on the ground, exposing it to the elements (snowing the whole time during unload.) Read the contract, pay $1200 for full value insurance or they give you poor coverage - $0.60 cents per pound of damaged items. Got a $1000 radio they broke only weighs 10lbs you get $6. Yep, $6. The movers are not professional, not careful and will rush you through signing a contract to keep you from noticing how you are about to get screwed. And good luck with the customer service, they treat you like you are an inconvenience to them. Save your money get a U-haul or a Pod, the price you are quoted will not be that once you are past the full refund cancellation window, tack on another $1000 if you are lucky. And delivery windows are a 24hr notice so hopefully you have a job that will understand you needing to bail on short notice. Do yourself a favor avoid this company at all costs.
STAY AWAYThis was the most miserable experience I’ve encountered when it comes to moving which I’ve done a lot. The pick up was 6 days late because “we didn’t know it was an apartment” even though the address had the line for my apartment number. The guys showed up late in the afternoon and I was immediately told the estimate for cubic feet was half of “actual” so the price was going to double. I had no choice but to go forward because the Texas winter storm was about to happen (I was going from Arizona to Georgia). They picked up everything and even charged me cash because of the stairs.I left on February 16th and received my belongings on April 27th. More than double the expected time. During this 2.5 month time frame I was given no information or updates. I called almost daily and they didn’t even know where my stuff was being stored. I almost have up until I got a text ... yes.... a text. To say my stuff would be here next week. That was then delayed and only one person was in the truck because his helper overslept.During unloading I was told my desk had broken and they left it in the original truck but my belongings were removed. Multiple pieces were ripped, scratched, broken, spilt, and mishandled.All in all I’m out a $400 desk, a PlayStation 4, and a pair of oakleys. (From what i can tell so far). I can understand breaking the desk but the “missing” pieces were in drawers with things that actually showed up. I let you do the assumption of what happened. *cough stolen *coughI have filed complaints with the BBB and directly with the company. DO NOT USE this company to move anything you care about.
Do business at your own RISK!!! it took mthem 3 months to deliver my funiture, broken. The driver was rude almost got into a fight with him. They will over charge you. They didnt assamble my funiture and they left my fridge downstairs.Worst company ever, avpid the frustrations pay more and have piece of mind. They stole all my tools. They also only have one driver again very rude and unprofessional. Thiefs is what they are and Nevada should close this business down. YOU BEEN WARN!! -5 🌟.
Use this company at your own risk. Expect to receive your belongings in 2-3 months. And as far as the promised $25 per day for each day they are late...only got half what was due and was told, you were lucky to get that. VERY poor service and VERY poor communication. VERY unreasonable timeframe for delivery. Should have received within 11-21 business days. Delivery took 2 months and 5 days.
This company was terrible to work with! We shipped from Utah to Hawaii. The dispatch secretary, Michelle, was very rude and standoffish. We werent given any information about our delivery date until we called them, and even then Michelle said that they have no idea where shipping goes after arriving at the port. When we asked her for more information she was very slow at gathering information and getting it to us. We always had to call several times to get any information, and we finally had to get a lawyer involved because they werent communicating with us. Turns out, the company subcontracted another company (without informing us) and that company, Hawaiian Shippers, had our stuff stored for a month before sending it out to us. Move on Moving picked up in Utah on August 2, 2020 and told us it would take about 3-4 weeks. It didnt arrive in Hawaii until October 28, 2020. Again, none of this was ever translated to us.
If I could leave a negative star or just a general warning to the public I would! Please understand this company should be SHUT DOWN. The movers came to get my stuff from Seattle to Michigan and told me I should expect it in about a week and a half. Mind you my move from Michigan to Seattle with another company I got my stuff in a week and a half. Once they take your things... THAT IS IT!! You will never hear a word from them again. They hold it hostage basically. No communication and when you try to call they DO NOT ANSWER. If you happen to get someone on the phone THEY DO NOT CARE about you or your things or your concerns. They just tell you over and over... we dont know. I didnt get my things until a month and a half and I called every week. I was living out of a suitcase for a month and a half!! And they ended up contracting my job out to another moving company to deliver. So clearly they take orders that they dont have trucks for and let me repeat you wont hear a word from them. They dont care who you are or what you are going through. You pay mostly up front so they just have you and your things for as long as they want and there is nothing you can do about it!! Spend extra money, do whatever you have to but DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Also when I got my boxes, a bunch of them were smashed up. AWFUL AWFUL... they should be shut down.

This company somehow misplaced a $600 one year old portable ac and the claims department refuses to replace it. Also increased the price of how much the move would be on moving day when it was too late to find other cross country movers. Horrible experience.
Everything of ours was damaged some things were damaged beyond repair. I have pictures and video of our thing before they came off the truck and after. Also they dropped of items not belonging to us. This is the worst company to use. If you read their reviews please notice that their reviews come in all five star and four or five every day any reputable company would have bad reviews and they would post them that should tell you all you need to know about move on moving solutions you can contact me directly and I’ll send you the pictures.. when my wife called and spoke with a lady there she told my wife “ good luck with your law suit. This is how they treat you they are very bad at their job!!!
They made moving almost stress free (if only the rest was so easy). The workers smile a lot, I like that (they tell some good jokes too). Overall, they took great care and concern for my special things, some so breakable, it is surprising not a single broken item. So easy to work with, I would recommend them to anyone who wants to move. Thanks guys, best move ever... no complaints, quite happy.
First of all they didnt consider the destination from the beginning and the fact that a shuttle ($300) is necessary for this city! Which would definitely affect my decision for not moving my furniture with the such a total cost. Even in the last companys email (5 days before the delivery day) requesting the remaining amount in cash, this cost was included and I was informed a few hour before their arrival and was expected to have all in cash!Second, all the lamps, including table lamps and floor uplight lamps were broken and some elements were lost to be able to assemble them again. And when I complained, the driver told me that he was not the person who disassemble on the pickup day so hes not responsible! No one took the responsibility... while I was waiting for over 3 weeks to get my stuff from NV to NY. Third, they left someones item in my place carelessly...
They packed my seinor citizen mothers things and loaded them onto a truck on October 3rd it is now November 17th and she still doesnt have her things. They got to the house and then told her that it would be $1,200 more than she was quoted then they loaded her things into a box truck, which they most definitely took to their facility and unloaded just to load it in a bigger truck whenever they decide to bring her stuff. She has called and called and always has to leave a message and wait up to 2 days for a reply. Upon looking closer at the illegible list that they made of all of her stuff, a lot of it is not written down so I wont be surprised if she doesnt get all of her stuff. She has been living in her house for over a month with nothing because they are taking their sweet time with it. I WILL NEVER RECCOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!! BEWARE!!!

I wasn’t aware of this until my items were being picked up. If I had time to read reviews I would have never let them take my items to begin with.When booking service they made it seem like based on miles needing to travel our delivery would be within 2 weeks, doable. Our items were delivered at about 6 weeks after we moved.Delivery day- cash only and VERY unprofessional employees. Rude, arrogant and right away mentioned not all of our stuff fit on the truck after we had waited for 6 weeks...Our items arrived strapped to the back of the truck on the lift gate. Boxes broken up and our stuff in the wide open. (See photos) Paid my cash to receive HALF of my items and what was delivered was totaled (see photos for a few items, if I posted all there would be 20+)Drivers continues to have an attitude, dropping boxes on the drive way and you can hear glass shatter, smoking his little swisher sweet in front of my 20 month old child.. professional, folks!Don’t hire, don’t even think about it. Our entire master bedroom set is gone, missing, not delivered. Our patio furniture including our child’s outside toys and grill, gone.. our dining table, gone. Our child’s nursery furniture, gone, 15-20 boxes, missing..How this company is in business baffles me. How their employees sleep at night knowing they are ruining families lives, is very saddening.Company is paid in full to still have half of my items that my little family has worked so hard for. Please stay very clear from this company, I mean it with all my heart.Edit:11-24-20Still waiting on our items and have been told that we just moved to an area drivers don’t like to come to so it’s hard to find a delivery time. Sounds like such a valid reason to make a family wait 3 months for items that have already been paid for.We have initiated speaking with the claims company used and are hoping we can recover some money through this.Customer service is very much lacking, still. No phone calls back, emails being returned is slim to none, and once you get someone on the phone all they do is repeat themselves.Edit:12/22/20I got a phone call a few minutes before 10a from the driver that he would be delivering at 2p. No Previous phone call, thank goodness we are home and not gone for Christmas. No communication, again.Another partial delivery. Still missing 18 boxes and my husbands tool cart. I asked the delivery driver if he has boxes and a tool cart on his truck. He began to laugh and said he left a huge tool cart in his previous delivery in MI. I called the company immediately and he said he would reach out to dispatch. I hope its not another 4 months of waiting since my husband needs his tools for an income.Patio items were delivered, all loose parts, our mattress doesnt look great and I hope giving it time to lay flat will help since its been rolled up for 4 months.
I tell you, anyone, do not use a moving company or especially have any form of confidence in these people helping you when your items or lost or damaged. They will not help you. I tell you buy your own truck and move your own things.
Half our boxes were missing, ones we recieved items were destroyed, large furniture and appliances broken, we never got paid for any of it! We watched them throw someone elses couch out on the ground in the pouring rain! Do not use this company get a great company even if it costs more because this company will cost you more money because you will have to replace everything like we did!
Despite sending pictures of every room, a box count which was updated twice and the detailed results of a site visit moveON moving estimate was off by a whopping 40% meaning when the movers arrived I was charged an extra $4000.00. moveON moving is a broker based, like many brokers in Florida, who makes the estimate and then contracts out the actual move. Once moveON moving collects their fee you are turned over to the mover who makes their own estimate and really could care less about moveON moving estimate and you are stuck as you have already paid a sizable fee to the broker.No doubt they will respond I had more items than listed on the final estimate but the point here is basic competence - I did not hide anything and they had a competitor’s detailed list from a site visit and the salesman, Alex assured me he was adding extra capacity so there would be no surprises when the mover’s arrived. I can’t help but feel the estimate is simply a means to acquire the contract with little regard to accuracy.My advice is to avoid the brokers and find a company which does the actual move. This is harder than it sounds but with a little digging can be accomplished. Also deal only with a company which does a site estimate. And finally by all means avoid moveON moving.
They just wanted the money, they damaged my harley Davidson. Never use this company to transport your vehicles. They damaged my rug moving my grill. When I put in a claim for damages they didnt want to pay. They dont tell you your furniture will be stored in Las Vegas. Never again. They also over charge you when making the move. Dont do it.
This is the most terrible company..No communication..It is not safe if you traveling long distance Better off getting a Uhaul truck do it yourself..I was rob by the pick up crew on August 26, 2020..Finally received my items October 25, 2020..Dont trust what they write on paper.I had alot of items that were missing..Especially my Smoker Grill..Triple check the list your list..Moving is already Stressful..You trust the guys that are documented your items and loading the truck to be truthful and honest..But a good lesson learn..Check your list over and over again before you sign anything..DeniseSacramento CA to Brigeporr, NY..A lesson learned..
They were courteous, thorough and most impressively - super hard working. Its amazing how much stuff you can have in a 1 BR, but they moved it all without issue. They even got my ENORMOUS couch out the back window and through another apartment to the truck - they somehow handled it!! It wasnt the most inexpensive move, but if you want to hand the keys to a professional team so you dont have to worry about it, these are the guys. I would recommend them to anyone who inquires. Thank you boys!!!
My niece used this business and they are the worst. Please do not use this terrible company. Why they are still in business I have no idea. So many items are damaged and the other half of the items are missing. My niece is just sick to her stomach over this move. Once again please do not use this company!!
This company should not be in business, if I could rate a zero I would, very unprofessional, they dont know how to adequately pack furnishings, not to mention load the moving vehicle, they severely damaged some of our very expensive furniture and did not provide an adequate amount of reimbursement when a claim was filed to cover repairs. If youre looking for a good moving company, dont hire MoveOn movers, youll be extremely disapointed.
The three-man crew were awesome. Very friendly, yet still very professional and were also very flexible as a result of our needs. I was very impressed with their loading skills. We had them take most of our stuff to a storage center and they unloaded it all and fit everything into our storage locker. When I finally buy another home, I will be giving another call, and hopefully be able to request the same crew, because they were fantastic.
The worst ever. They had a Penske truck rental. Driver refused to show any identification. I had to pay to get my furnitureThey dumped my stuff and demanded a TIP. I said I paid too much and if you want a tip ask for a raise. I was really concerned that they would retaliate.
These guys are great movers. I had an excellent experience. They eased the stress of moving. They took great care when moving my delicate items like my TV and computer equipment. I would definitely use them again.
They were friendly, professional, and took great care of our belongings. They communicated effectively throughout the entire process, as did the office. Their prices are fair, transparent, and competitive. I highly recommend this company for all your moves.
Chris is great, super professional, knowledgeable about the area, and communicative. His crew was early, hustled, and made me feel my belongings were in good hands. Amidst a very stressful cross state move, the company made the home stretch easy. The movers hoisted a two beds, a desk, a large cabinet, and a couch without any damages or issues! They showed up 10 minutes early and finished everything in less than 4 hours for a very reasonable price. I couldnt recommend them more!
They were professional, kind, helpful and incredibly efficient. They ensured each and every one of our packages and furniture were carefully handled and stored on their truck. I called a few weeks ahead of my moving date and was able to schedule the move without any issues. They immediately sent a confirmation email. I also got a discount by scheduling my move on a weekday.On moving day Move on moving called in the morning and let me know theyd be arriving around 9:30am. They showed up on time and immediately got to work. The foreman took charge of disassembling the furniture and wrapping all of my art supplies and furniture, while the other two guys hauled everything into the truck. They even brought wardrobe boxes for our closets, and packed up a couple boxes of loose items that I hadnt managed to pack. It took them about 4 hours to load up my 2 bedroom + storage unit worth of art & soul restoration supplies. We were on our way to the new place art studio.Unloading at the art barn was much quicker, taking them about 2 hours including reassembling all the furniture. No items were missing or broken.Moving sucks, its the absolute worst, but Nice Guys Movers made it as tolerable and stress free as possible. I will definitely use them next time I move.

This company is holding our items hostage! Do not book with them!!! They picked out items up on 2/10/20 and we have not gotten a single update from them since, despite the fact that we are now outside the delivery window provided in their contract. The broker we used got an update that our items were in a storage facility in our origin city two weeks after they picked them up. Whenever we call the designated line for transit updates, no one answers or returns messages. Whenever we have been able to get a sales person on the phone, they simply say they are getting caught up from the weekend and awaiting an update from their dispatcher.

We DO NOT recommend this moving company. My husband and I chose this company to move all of our belongings across the country, (we drove across the country and took our time) they picked up our things and placed them in their storage facility until we arrived on the east coast. Everything was a nightmare from the moment I signed the papers. I decided to get my own 3rd party insurance, figuring this would keep their fingers out of all the moving pieces. The gentleman who quoted me and helped me with the contract was “removed from my account” and I was just tossed from person to person for the remainder of our communications. One time I sat on hold till I was hung up, on because they all went home for the day. As we packed we marked each box with a number and had a running list of what was in each box, a note I got while researching moving across the country. We were told that we needed to notate which boxes held items of high dollar value. The day they arrived to pick up our belongings they wanted to look inside each valued box to ensure nothing was damaged pre-move. They set out on their way with little issues on moving day. The next time we heard from them was when I reached out to see when our belongings were going to be delivered. I was given the number to a dispatch company, who kept pushing back my delivery date. They even went as far as to tell me our semi was in an accident enroute and was going to be delayed. When we finally got a call from the driver himself (who was never in an accident), he said that the drive to our home was going to be an issue for the semi he was driving. Why wouldnt the company do research and get a complete understanding of the terrain before they send out a truck, I will never know. A few hundred dollars later, we had a rental moving truck and were in the parking lot of a chinese restaurant where we met the truck driver. He would only acknowledge my husband when talking, was short and very rude. He kept trying to hurry us and was pushing our boxes off the truck, we were trying to make sure we had all of our numbered boxes at the destination, before being asked to sign the delivery paperwork. I also realized that the name on the truck did not match the name of our moving company, which then voided our insurance. I took pictures of the truck and the mover to document the trucking company that delivered our belongings and he was not happy about this, so he threatened that he knew my address and come back to find me if I put his picture on the web (Defamation). Insurance company stated that the only company insured was Move on Moving. Move on moving said that they didnt need to inform us if they chose to subcontract our move to a 3rd party company. So when a handful of boxes were not at arrival and a few had broken belongings we were left with no insurance, we were devastated. Of the missing contents were a high valued box that contained my wedding dress. Following the move the insurance company refunded me my money due to my unforeseen circumstance, and the moving company never did find our missing items, but they sent us a $19 check for our missing items.
Ive never moved with a moving company before, but Ive always had a lot of advanced notice when Ive needed a move. Plenty of time for me to box up everything, arrange transport, take time off of work, etc. Last Saturday I moved, and I had one day notice. Freaked out, panicked, not sure where to even get started with moving in a day, I called this company. They came in the next day at 8am, helped me get the whole apartment packed, moved, and into the new place by 1pm. Because I had basically zero notice for my move, barely anything was packed before they arrived, and they got it all taken care of so fast. The movers were so great, super capable and professional and understanding of the circumstances. They made the whole process fun somehow, even though I was super panicked before. Trying to move in a day was an absolute nightmare and they made it, not just possible, but fun. They were super fast, reliable, personable, and kept our stuff safe. Took an impossible situation and fixed it, and somehow it was fun.
They all worked so hard and had great attitudes. They really took good care of our belongings and treated us with so much respect. If we ever need movers again no question where we will go. Highly recommend this place.
These guys were amazing! received a quote from the company and also got an in-person estimate. Originally in the estimate, they thought it would take 7 hours with 3 guys. Luckily, the 3 men worked super efficient, so it only took 3.5 hours for my move and I saved some $$$. Thank you guys!
Completely unreasonable, would not allow me to use a cashiers check for payment even after talking to their customer service prior to deliver. Straight up lied about where my furniture was being stored. Told me my deliver was on a truck that never existed. Two guys and a Penske showed up with a too small truck, they literally threw stuff in boxes without any wrapping. DO NOT USE THESE SCAM ARTISTS

Very professional, the movers arrived in time on which we agreed, and called when they were about half an hour away. They were careful with all of my furniture and did a great job of disassembling and reassembling everything that couldnt be taken in one piece (beds and tables). I would definitely use their services again in future!
They moved quickly and efficiently and came in under the time estimate for my 70 or so boxes and some furniture. They came up with a novel stairway shortening unloading plan to speed carrying of stuff into a second floor apartment. Highly recommended!
My review is admittedly much like a lot of these. Incredibly easy to get pricing and book the job. Move on moving are up to speed with software or typing fast, I had the full contract in my email about 5 minutes after I got of the phone. They called the day before to confirm the move and were on time for the move. The move itself with the movers went really smooth and nothing was damaged. I had moved though, without a scratch. This is our second time using their moving services. The movers who called and showed up were really professional and prompt. I cant say enough good things. This is the company you should be using and supporting. They did an exceptional job loading our truck and we would recommend them over and over again. You wont be disappointed.
The foreman has paperwork for me, He tells me that there is a 3 % charge to use the card. ??? Im told its right in the contract, on the back in fine print, the 14th paragraph on the third page. He says truck is too small, hell use the second truck, charge me more. NO. I told him that I was given an absolute max price .The foreman shrugs, palms up, sorry facial expression. He says not to worry, hell only charge me by the piece. AGAIN NO!! I will not pay a penny more plus, since the quote, weve filled our vehicles with boxes so the move should be smaller than the quote. He persists and so do I. I will not pay more and I dont care how many trucks he needs. He says he thinks he can fit it all int one. The foreman then tells me I need to box all the dining chairs, end tables, artwork etc. NO. I discussed all of this with the salesman and he said heavy bubble wrap would be fine and thats what we did. The foreman persisted saying hed box them up and not charge me too much. How much? about $400. NO, NO, NO. I told him, again, I would not be paying any more. Again the foreman gives me the palms up Im so sorry shrug He goes on to explain to me that this is how all the brokers handle things. The foreman also says that the moving brokers tell customers that their packing etc is fine when it really isnt. He described exactly what I was gong through. I appreciated his honesty and how accurately he described the screwing I was experiencing but It only made me angrier knowing I was being screwed.Move On showed up with a big truck with just two men. They were slow destructive and cranky. They left a mess.The boss was signaling the driver as he backed up the truck. the driver didnt stop and bent my mailbox.When the back of the truck was opened up, I could tell I was in for a very bad and disappointing experience. The rear of the truck was large unboxed items like my bicycle, home gym, garden tools, lawn mower etc. They all appeared to have been thrown into the truck from a distance and then spun around end over end a few times. It was a mess. The handlebars to my bike were bent off to the side. That was the least of the problems. Once the big items were removed we could plainly see about half a dozen cardboard boxes, clearly marked with large fat black letters FRAGILE that were all upside down and smashed. Just great. UPSIDE DOWN BOXES MARKED FRAGILE!!!!The movers moved items into my house and I told them what rooms to put them in. I walk into my master bedroom and see my $4000.00 Cantoni Italian high gloss finished walnut tall chest of drawers upside down in the middle of the room with the drawers hanging out. I asked the mover how the hell that happens and he says he needs help turning it over. The two movers turn it right side up and right on the front is a chip in the lacquer the size of a quarter. There are another 3 chips in the finish on the sides. It is ruined. I then see our white antique finished 9 drawer dresser has a chip out of the top edge and the up until now pristine refinished hard wood floor has a large white scratch from the dresser. I then find a lamp/table combo is broken, our office desk has 3 gashes in the legs. We have some light rustic wood fruit crates and they managed to crack one of them a little but then as the older mover was rolling his dolly out the door he crashed into the crate and shattered the side of it. I asked him if I should juste give them hammers so they can destroy everything quicker? I went into the garage and found that my roll away tool cabinet was bent on the top lid hinge and I had to hammer the lid to open it and then I found a 2 inch gash int the top of my gun safe. Even a steel gun safe wasnt safe in the hands of these clowns. The final insult was when I went to unwrap a tall floor standing hand blown heavy glass vase. This vase is at min a quarter inch thick and the base is thick solid glass. It rests in a heavy wrought iron stand. It was shattered into dozens of pieces. Great. Just great. $12,000.00 for ignorant lazy unskilled laborers to destroy my stuff.

They wrapped all the furniture in moving blankets so nothing could get scratched in the truck. It was surprisingly quick delivery and they help set up all my furniture in the new house. The moving men were very professional and got everything done and at the original quoted price. Very happy to have they help with my move.
Our movers were great. The two of them had to manage 4 flights of stairs that lead out of our apartment, which is no easy feat. They had such a positive attitude and were very friendly throughout the entire process.
They moved our offices a couple of years ago so we used them on our personal move this year. Great guys and worked hard. Even put down things to not ruin the new floors which we didn’t think to ask for. Put the bed together which we couldn’t have done ourselves. We’d use them again.

Priority in customer service wonderful with this company. Professional and well organized, not only in there field but overall. I can only assume management does its job well . We were moving to Marin County from Oregon state so the distance was substantial. In fact, to save time I decided to pack up everything before the movers arrived. I asked Move on moving to send their men around 11 am on the moving day. The men arrived at 10:57 am. I already had everything packed and ready to be loaded. They inspected everything thoroughly at first. Then it took them no time to finish loading all my belongings to their truck. All my belongings were delivered on the next day to my new house. I have heard of so many people being terrified of having to move from one place to another. If you hire a competent company and do your due diligence properly, there is absolutely nothing frightening about relocations. Thank you to the entire team at Move on moving....
Absolutely terrible customer service. I used them for my move out of state and they lost my bed frame, broke my sons foot board, and had water damage to our bookshelf. And to top it off they had my beds tied to the outside of the truck. Filed a claim and never heard back from them. Horrible service, do NOT use this company. If I could give zero stars I would.

This company did a great job moving my family across the country from Las Vegas to Atlanta earlier this month. We opted for the white glove full packaging service. It made the move so easy for us. The moving men came in and packed up the whole house, we didnt have to do anything but open the door for them. They packed everything really well with bubble wrap and packing paper. Delivery to Atlanta was fast and they gave us a pretty good price. Thanks guys!

I could have never done it myself. The moving men were great and handled my items with care. Everything arrived at my new house in one piece without any damage.
We were duped into a contract with Move On Moving by Charter Van Lines. We were never told that Charter is just a broker, subcontracting everything out. The packers they hired were a nightmare and put a hole in a wall that weve had to submit a claim for. And now Charter Van Lines acts like we dont exist. Doesnt answer any emails. Move On Moving is not much better. Answers with a question and then never responds again. We were told 7 to 14 days to get our stuff from Arizona to Massachusetts. Its my very senior parents and Ive told the company they are handicapped and need the extra wheelchair and their hospital bed. Just yesterday my stepfather had to go to the ER with chest pains as he hasnt been sleeping well because this company now wants 30 days to deliver our stuff. I feel so tricked. Learn from this! Do not book this company! As of writing this, we still dont have a scheduled delivery date. I dont know who all these other happy customers are. Better Business Bureau has them on the naughty list.

Many things crushed, items missing, and the Driver wrote profanity in my wall in ink. Unbelievable. Worst experience in my life. They even refused to put an area rug down the same way they took itUp.Update. My furniture arrived five weeks late. The driver refused to pull his truck into the loading dock that excepted hundred foot trucks and blackmailed me for $500 or he would just leave my stuff in storage somewhere. So we gave him $500 dollars and he rented a $35 a day uhaul truck to deliver my stuff. Be very very careful. This company is totally dishonest and a rip off.They don’t call back after many many calls to them. They don’t answer their phone either, and I have no idea where my furniture is 2 weeks after they picked it up! They are horrible.Just now delivering and the driver tried to blackmail me for an additional $500. This company is toxic.Beware!!!! Bad company. Bad people. Dishonest intentions.
Please learn from my mistake. Everyone from costumer service to the gentleman who picked up our items reassured us they would take care of our items. Plus was asked for a tip at pickup. No need to purchase the cost replacement insurance. They had our items in storage for 7 months told us everything would be covered and blanketed. Lied again. We received our new washer and dryer at delivery they were never blanketed like we were told. Scratched dented and knob broken. Had an one of a kind large amorie antique. Excellent condition now missing two 6’+ doors. A chair delivered with a foot completely broken unrepairable. Brand new trundle bed scratched. Patio furniture scratched. 55” inch TV with a broken screen when delivered (Move on wrapped the TV). Missing boxes and items. They tell you that you have up to now 9 months to file a claim BUT IF YOU DON’T count each box and items when they pick up and deliver ( which will add hours to both). You have no claim on the items that did not show up unless documented on delivery. If you are considering Move On please reconsider or learn from my mistake. It was a very costly and unneeded loss in our move. We have never move before so it was a huge learning experience. Thankful we will not be moving again.

Our stuff stayed on the truck and although they had other stops along the way, we received our goods 3 days after pickup here in Virginia. It was the same 2 guys and even though they had been working non-stop for 5 days, they were again very careful, helpful and friendly. The process was so easy, i called and gave the inventory of our items over the phone and they provided me with a quote i paid the deposit with my credit card and booked a moving date. im pretty much a minimalist so it was easy to pack everything in one large truck. The movers were friendly, well dressed and professional. I had a large 500lb safe that they moved for me which was great. i could have never done it myself. The moving men were great and handled my items with care. Everything arrived at my new house. Had a great experience to work with them. We recently used relocation services and are deeply unhappy with the results.For starters, the men who came to our house to pack up our things were unprofessional, rude, and behaving erratically. They did a horrendous job and actively mistreated our belongs. The result is that we now have a broken entertainment center.We had paid extra for four wardrobes so our clothing items could be hung up during transport. Rather than properly hanging them up, these 2 packers deemed it appropriate to throw a bunch of items in and seal it up. As such, by the time they got to us they were in complete disarray and we must now have them professionally dry cleaned. They left an entire closet being unpacked and we were forced to arrange separate shipping for those items.The incompetent staff who were sent to our home unreasonably added an additional $800 to the original sum for no apparent reason. It is illogical to think that the cost could have increased by this much despite the fact that they left an entire closet full of items which we were forced to ship on our own.To be perfectly honest, their erratic behaviour suggested that they might’ve been on narcotics.I will never use this company again and would not recommend to anyone.
This is the worst moving company ever. We have moved many times over the years and this was by far the worst experience ever. They picked up our items in two trucks and estimated we had 4,000 cubic feet and 28,300 lbs. After weighing the trucks the final weight was supposedly within 100 lbs. yet when the delivery came it was only one larger truck and they told us the trucks were overweight and had to be moved. What a disaster. We had 200 items with no number on them. Over 100 items were mislabeled, several totes were delivered empty that were full when loaded. Many items missing, police were called, so much damage, many large items not even unwrapped, etc, etc, etc. After transferring our items to one truck there was no weight taken again to prove we got all of our stuff. This company is a scam and I would never do business with them again. We are filing for arbitration at this point.

I paid my balance and its 2 weeks later and Im still waiting for my stuff to arrive. They dont answer the phone, they do, however, respond in email to hide behind a computer and their responses are rude and uncompassionate. They were only hired because the other movers flaked. I will never use them again if I need a moving company. Looking at past reviewers, this seems like common practice for them. Spend your valuable money and time somewhere else!

Positive experience. No issues and company upheld there agreement. Moving men were very careful with all our stuff and loaded fast. Great moving company, Move on Moving made our transition very smooth;Here is a basic breakdown of how this move went. My move this time easy process, Limited headaches, good communication with the movers and Office. My pricing did increase a bit but I can understand I did not have everything packed on time like my TVS and Beds. The company did accommodate me with a military discount witch I was happy with. Shopping for movers was a exhausting process at the end of the day my choice was a good one with these movers they were like a family member always available and extremely professional .Price was fair and delivery was quick. Lie after lie after lie and a horrible experience moving from Seattle to Houston. Expectations set were incredibly different than what actually occurred at every turn.The sales and pickup process was great, except at the time I didnt know the expectations being set were lies.After the pickup, the script changed completely. I would call to get an update on delivery, and rather than referring to the expectations set, they read the fine print on the contract. Having set the expectation that the load would arrive in about a week, it sat in a warehouse in Las Vegas. I was told that they were allowed 30 days by law. But law had nothing to do with with their sales process and expectation setting. To me, this is about customer experience and misleading information to make a sale.I asked the dispatcher to escalate my case to the President of the company or owner. She (the dispatcher) literally told me that she was in charge, that it was impossible to speak to the owner. She alone was in charge. I told her that was a bold and transparent lie, as I found the owner on LinkedIn. She became indignant that I called out her lies, but after multiple calls where commitments were made to get back to me, only for nothing to happen, it was easy to see the pattern.I gave up trying, counting the days until I could sue them. Suddenly the furniture came, intact, almost to the 30 day legal limit after selling me on a week to 10 days.Dont do business with this company under any circumstances!
Our movers were punctual and and efficient, and they came in well under the estimate! All of my exchanges with Move on moving were very pleasant and professional, and we got the distinct impression that they genuinely cared about providing us with quality service at a fair price. Incredibly helpful and great service!. Definitely lived up to their name and would recommend to anyone.
