Friendly staff. Nice and clean. Price was good also. They tell you what is wrong. But the way they do it, kind of makes it better. No one wants to hear something else is going wrong. Its all in the way its said.
Not impressed. Was met with sarcasm from staff when I asked if I could get an oil change today. Multiple options for same service within a mile of this location.....
Went for new tires. Got a call saying front strut is broken and it MUST be replaced before they can finish my car. Told me it would be about 1800 for the total, which was way over budget for me, but since I was being told this HAD to be done to continue, I told them to go ahead with work. After being told the amount, I was told too call whoever I needed to feel okay about the situation. This was extremely rude and unprofessional.Basically, they forced me into a credit card and paying 1800- when all I wanted was new tires. Plus, IF they actually HAD to do that work on my strut, I DID NOT deserve to be laughed at and told to call whoever you need to feel okay about this. After that, the man (BRIAN) who spoke to me on the phone WAS NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. And did not speak to me again.I will not be returning and I hope those that do eventually realize how disgusting and unprofessional Firestone in Machesney continues to be.

From calling to schedule an appointment with these guys I knew I was in good hands. Pete was extremely helpful on the phone and again in person. I needed brakes and rotors in the front. They had checked to see if my calipers were ok and looked good at first check. I left to go have lunch, came back and Pete informed me that one actually was bad afterall. They had to replace it. I was worried about the cost as I had already been given a quote for the job and thought it would be costly to add an additional repair. He kindly said “it was our mistake, we will eat the cost, it’s the right thing to do”. Like whoa. That is a stand up operation to me. My Jeep feels so much better to drive. I feel safe knowing they discovered that I indeed had a seized caliper and replaced it. Thanks Pete and your team in Machesney Park, IL!

Horrible experience this week. Asked if there was a charge to look at car and was told no. Come back 5 days later for repair and wasn’t given invoice until after I paid. There was a $21.99 inspection charge with $12 discount I never approved. Call today and he says I was told there was a $27.99 inspection charge and it was held over until repair was made. Obviously this is untrue when the amounts don’t even coincide with his claims. Great job!!!!!! Then I have to go ask to pay after the car was done 20 minutes later when nobody came to get us.Update:Area manager called and took care if issue and going to speak to mechanic and managers.

We hit a pothole on i90 and blew a tire. Were from St Louis so we had to get a tow to the nearest place on a sunday night. I did the online and night drop off box requests for a new tire. You didnt open until 8am. We were a little afraid wed be stuck for days. I called at 8:01 the next morning and to my suprise,you answered the phone and already knew my situation. You said the tire would come in and youd put it on by 5pm. We had to leave the hotel around 1pm. We Ubered over and when we spoke to someone you had just got the tire and were going to put it on right away! We were thrilled. You even put on a matching tire which you do not usually carry. Talk about under promise and over deliver! You lowered our stress and got us home. Thank you so much to the owner and his son for taking such good care of some stranded travellers!
Had my truck in for a tune up before christmas, they replaced all plugs but 2 that were seized, problem was temporarily fixed. Cost $950. One month later, misfire is back and engine light is on again. Return to Firestone, they have my truck for ONE WEEK. I only got updates if I called them, even though they said they would call me with updates. I finally had to stop in and let them know I would be back that day to pick it up and it needed to be done. They call and say its good to go. They were nice and did not charge for any repairs, which was nice. However 11 days after getting it back, engine light on again and misfire. I would have rather paid and had it fixed than them do a rush job just to get me out the door. Super disappointed, wont ever recommend their services to anyone.

Uninviting customer service. I consider myself a nice person especially when it comes to those who are at work. I’ve been there multiple times and they never return the niceties, and are actually very unhelpful. Won’t be taking my car there anymore. Just plain rude every time.Along with other complaints, I also experienced and extended wait time with no updates. When I went to the counter to ask how much longer it would take he said 30 minutes, and hour and 15 minutes later I realized my friend and I could’ve gone and gotten what we needed from a store down the road and gotten back with plenty of time. The guy acted really inconvenienced when I asked him how long it would take.I needed to schedule an oil change and the man went through his list of times and I kept replying “no sorry I’ll be at school.” and he kept glaring at me. Hate having to go there and I hope to never have to go back. Discount tire is better for any tire needs, the staff is so friendly there and they give you updates with a smile.
I set up an appointment for a tire pressure issue. They diagnosed the issue, which turned out to be the valve letting air out of the tire, and resolved it within an hour. I like to ask questions to better understand automotive issues and their staff was very helpful in communicating the issue. They even showed me the valve and what part of it wasn’t working.This is my second issue I have went to them for and I will continue to use their services in the future.
Needed an Oil Change done and some new wiper blades while on a bit of a time crunch and they took care of it. Job was done well. People were nice and friendly. Ill be taking my car here from now on.
Ive always had really good customer service and pleasant interaction. Even when I have not had a coupon they have given me the coupon price. I would definitely return here as I have in the last two years they are my go-to for oil changes.

Great. I dropped my car off because I had a tire keep going flat, they they were very nice with me and quick. I went next door to buffalo wild wings for lunch and by the time I got back my car was done. They found a nail in the tree and fixed my tire. At no charge.
Was told over the phone itll take around an hour. Two and a half hours later without any update unless I asked, my brakes are finally done. At least they were done right... But please let us know if its going to take over twice as long.
I came in at 4:30 with a flat tire and it was going to take an hour to get the tire I needed from another store. The gentleman I dealt with was just ending his shift and went out of way and picked up the tire himself so I wouldn’t have to wait that long 😃
The guys do good work and normally my experience with them is good. Today however it took 60 minutes for a tire rotation. Must just be one of those days.
Pros: honest dealing, no high pressure sales tactics. Their work is more than competent. Cons: wait times can be on the long side due to staffing issues. Recently waited over 3½ hours for a set of new tires. On the bright side, there are plenty of shops and restaurants in walking distance if you need to kill some time.

They have been great working through a weird break noise issue. Customer service has been very friendly and helpful. Originally thought its break pads and rotor. We switched those out.. Still had a squeak and a slight rubbing noise. Thought it was slides. fought with that for a few months. Turns out it was the wheel hub. Wasnt worn out enough to be spotted, but i guess enough to cause the slightest noise.. Seem good for now.. I give them 5 stars because of the great customer service..

Only one guy working the front desk. Was behind glass when I walked in gave me the 1 min finger. Was on the phone for a long time. Laughing, not sure it was really an important phone call. Explained my situation with my rental car that I needed to get taken care of. Was told would be next, took for ever, same guy finally came out to take care of problem on car. Asked me to hold tight on paper work. Was gone for ever, came back and said to go ahead it was going to take a while to get this approved. Get it together with your rental agreements. I am on vacation I just need wiper blades that work!
Had an appointment at 7am on Saturday . They said they double booked. Told us to come back at noon.They checked the air conditioning on our commander and said we needed a compressor. One day later we had no air. Took the car back in. They said they didnt know it had rear air. Turns out there was a leak in the back. Told us it was a dealer fix. The frame had to be dropped to fix it. We took it to another(a real)mechanic. He said it was a dust cover over the line, not the frame. He took my husband back and showed him the problem. They fixed it in a couple of hours. Works great.Pete(firestone manager) said they didnt replace the compressor to stop any leaks.We took it in to fix the air conditioning. They have no idea what they are doing!!!
Stellar automotive work. Consistently conservative estimates clearly explained with none of the talking up and fear tactics Ive run into most other places. Also is probably the only place youre going to find on a weekend or holiday and theyre the first place like that southbound across the border.
Setup appointment online, they were able to get my new tires installed in around an hour which was great. Be careful with the online price estimator, as it will stack deals that clearly state you can only use on their own.

When people need a tire, they dont need it tomorrow, they need it normally today. But they wouldnt even look at my vehicle when I brought it in. Theres really no such thing as customer service anymore, anywhere. Its gone.
Displeased with service. Reserved services and appointment online. Tried to sell me extras I did not want or need. Even after telling them I did not want them they then tried telling me it was required by law. Service technician even argued with me about tpms sensor rebuild. Tires were new and had less than 2000 miles on them. Only needed a new one because of sidewall damage and wanted a matching tire. I was a tire tech for years, I do not recommend any corporate owned shops. Locally owned is the way to go
Stopped in for a plug in a tire and was told wait time would be two hours. After waiting for two hours with a toddler, was told it would be another two hours at minimum. Would have gone elsewhere if they had been honest about wait time. No communication or updates given, just endless wait and zero customer service.

I had taken my truck for an alignment at the dealer which I bought it new at after paying outrageous dealer prices it still had the exact same pull so I took it to another Dodge dealer they also could not solve the problem I then took the truck to Crossroads Auto on North 2nd and they made it ten times worse I had heard about firestones lifetime warranty on alignments it was under $200 it took less than one hour and it was done CORRECTLY!!! This shop is very honest good treat you with respect and they dont try to upsell you on things you do not need if youre looking for an honest shop look no further this is the best repair facility I have ran across in my lifetime I would like to thank the staff for fixing my 2015 Dodge Ram in less than an hour youve got a lifetime customer with me!

I cant give less than half a star, so one star will have to suffice. I see alot of negative reviews about time, acknowledgement at the counter, and professionalism. This particular place lacks in all of the above areas. If theres more than 4-5, or even more than two reviews about these issues, somethings very wrong. I even witnessed a customer being passive aggressively shunned away, during my visit. They are terrible at this location, very. A car/automotive place usually has car enthusiasts working there and it shows, you can just tell. This place does not have it. I live less than 5 minutes from this place, and will gladly take my business elsewhere, rather than go here for a destination convenience, which Im huGe on. But, def not worth it. There are multiple alternatives within the immediate area. Just search, youll be glad you did. OR, go to Advanced Auto Parts, next door, and ask them for a local shop or an alternative. They will tell you and head you in the right direction. Its not worth the gamble of your time, money, and/or vehicle. Its (the shop) not run down or in bad shape. Its just a horrible location of a Firestone(staff) to take your vehicle, horrible.To give my reason of a bad review and not just post a 1 star out of nowhere, I was told my vehicle would be finished at 2:00pm. I always give leeway time at any place of business. So, 2:15 goes by, then comes 2:30pm, with no updates. I was the main one waiting around, so they knew I was a current customer. I kindly asked for an update, to which I was told (with confidence) another 15-20 minutes. I wasnt out of there until 3:15pm. This was after initially walking in for my 1oclock apt., up to the counter, and seeing them see me through the garage window, as the service rep just talked in the garage and took his time while I stood at the counter. Just a weirdly bad vibes of a place of service for all customers.
Good management, bad management it keeps going up and down. Now its at the down side. They did some work on my car, went back for the same issue after a couple weeks wanted to drop it off, the guy stayed on the phone literary for 20 minutes without acknowledging I am there and no one else showed up. Very dumb
I drove in around 5:30 pm with a nearly flat tire (had a screw in it) the guy told me they were about to have a meeting and couldnt take me in. I barely made it over to discount tire. they stayed after closing time and repaired my tire. I bought a full set of Bridgestone dueller tires the next morning. I doubt I will ever go back to this Firestone location!
I don’t see what the point of making an appointment here is. I have been waiting for 30 minutes and my car still hasnt been worked on.Edit. Waited an hour and a half for a TPMS sensor change. Not once was I updated on time or why it was taking an hour longer than I was told. Horrible customer service as well.

Dont be fooled. They advertise Complete Auto Care. But when you show up for your appointment all of a sudden the work that you asked them about on the phone suddenly they dont do.After my experience. Ill avoid FIRESTONE like the plague!!!!
I took my car in a few months ago and all these guys did was lie about an alignment issue that a different firestone not only say was ok, but also brought up an issue that the other firestone location did not. It is clear that this business is deceitful, lazy, and just plain unethical. They floored my car when I took it because I had a dash cam and the data log on my tuner told me the throttle position during the visit. If you have a sports car or anything remotely nice, do not go to them. The lifetime warranty is just a scam to get you to repair something that is not needed to be repaired. They do not take their responsibilities seriously and should not be in business.
You have to work with them and make sure they understand the scope of work just like any other place
