Hands down the best place to purchase countertops in the city. I must have visited 15 places before I found this shop and every venue treated me like I was small peas and would barely give me the time of day. Right from the moment my husband and I walked in, the team at National stone treated us as though we were their only customers even though the shop was packed full of shoppers and contractors. Zane H personally walked us around the lot and explained all of the different materials & their pros/cons. They were upfront about their pricing, no gimmicks! Zane even assisted in choosing the perfect granite to match our existing backsplash (and it’s a good thing we listened because the match was flawless). He even had the guys crane lift the different slabs so that I could choose the exact ones I wanted. The attention to detail provided by the installation team was impeccable. Seriously no flaws at all. We couldn’t be happier with our final product and will be using National stone for our bathroom remodels (and kitchen cabinets if I can get my hubby on board) in the future. I’d never go elsewhere at this point. Thank you to all at National stone, I recommend this shop to everyone!!!
I am so happy with the quality and craftsmanship of my new counters. Zane was absolutely amazing to work with. He helped me choose my slab from their yard. He explained the whole process and took the time to answer all my questions. He made me feel comfortable and excited about this investment in my kitchen. The installers are very professional and friendly. The install went smoothly and quick.I almost went with a big box retailer for my counter but so glad I found this place. I love supporting local businesses. Plus their prices are way better than the other quotes I received.Thank you Zane for all your help. I absolutely love my kitchen now.
Personal attention!! Wonderful customer relations! National Stones professional, care and guidance was beyond my expectations. I highly recommend National Stone. I love the piece they patiently helped me to chose. I would only go to National Stone in any other home improvement in the future. I recommended them to my clients and they purchased quartz for their kitchen. Wonderful experience for all!!
We are very happy with the countertops and service we received from National Stone! We found their sale online for Ocean Pearl Quartzite, which we loved when we saw it in person. I liked their estimate process, which was very simple. Instead of sending someone to measure the counters just for an estimate, they asked us to provide a rough outline of the counter dimensions with measurements. We did that, and they gave us a complete estimate on the spot during our first visit. By our next visit about a week later, we had purchased our kitchen sink and brought them the outline. We paid and picked out the slab (they used a forklift and let us pick between a few). Our counters were installed 2 weeks later. Our project included the kitchen and 2 bathroom vanities. I was very impressed with the installers. Including demo of the old counters, the whole process took less than 3 hours. They mounted all of the sinks for us and we installed the faucets afterwards. They did a great job getting the counters perfectly level, which helped for installing the subway tile backsplash afterwards! I would recommend National Stone to anyone looking for high-quality counters and excellent service. Thanks!
Quit browsing and choose National Stone. Ive used this company for several projects and couldnt recommend them more. I have high standards for workmanship and service. National Stone hits every mark. Theyre on time, detail oriented, and eager to help. They provide a top-notch professional experience. My kitchen and bathroom remodels have been painless with National Stone. Installers were respectful, courteous, and clean. I will continue to use and recommend National Stone. Give them a call. You wont regret it!
I’m very pleased with my kitchen thanks to the great people at National Stone. Zane, Theresa- everyone- easy to work with and happy to offer help and suggestions. We’ve gone from a 90’s special to a 2021 beautiful kitchen. This is the second house I’ve done with their granite. Go see them- you will not be disappointed!!
Another great job! This was our second time using this company and once again, they are the best at what they do. From the time we spoke with the folks (I.e. Zane) at the stone yard to install was all of 10 days. We will continue to use this company for all of our future work.
Zane, Tony and Mo were a pleasure to work with. Honestly, I was a little nervous, especially for the amount of money you put into new stone.but that was definitely misplaced! National Stone was very well priced, they fabricated everything in-house, the installers were very professional. I had a slight chip that no one would ever notice but I did. They asked me to send a picture and they were back out within the week to touch it up. Overall, I really appreciate the work performed, the customer service provided, and the responsiveness of the team. Thank you Josh!
We had National Stone replace the counter tops in our house, kitchen and bathrooms. I cannot believe how good things turned out. We went to the yard and saw the stone up close. We picked a beautiful granite. The price for demo of the old tops and installation was more than fair, but the quality blew me away. Theres not a single seam anywhere on the new granite they installed. Probably because my kitchen is small, but I had some ugly seams in the old granite. The quality of the work they did is top notch! I would highly recommend this company, they really know what they are doing. Thanks National Stone, for completely changing my house!!
Love our new Kitchen. Thank you so much to Zane and the team at National Stone granite. Very professional, huge granite inventory and great prices. Turn around on installation was fast and the quality is amazing.Zane was super knowledgeable and knew what we were looking for our kitchen. He was honest about the timeline and exceeded our expectations with his great customer service and communication throughout the project. Even when we found a minor issue, the company stood behind their work 100% and went above and beyond to take care of our issue. Zane continually contacted us to ensure satisfaction and happiness with the job. Highly recommend to all my Veteran brothers and sisters. Our kitchen looks amazing. Thank you so much National Stone.
Only one word can describe my experience with this company. Horrible.I have chosen and bought granite from them. Paid in full in advance. They called me and informed that they changed the granite, because supposedly they had a better piece. When I came and asked to see that granite, Theresa started screaming at me at the the top of her voice. She would not let me talk, and in the middle of the screams said that she actually did not want to do the job for me, and can cancel the transaction. Of course I agreed. I guess I can partially blame myself. Zane- the other person in National Stone was rude to me before. I should not have ordered from them.
When it comes to this company in comparison to others in the industry, there is no doubt that National Stones customer service and quality of work is the best in town! We are extremely pleased with our brand new bathroom vanity, thank you so much to all of you at National Stone, the next project is our outdoor living area!! See you soon!!
These guys are top notch they did our kitchen and we were so pleased we called them back for our bathroom vanities as well. Their attention to detail is unmatched and the price was great as well
Ladies was nice (only reason I give it 3 stars) had a piece pick left to get a drink n wanted for customer approve the piece before I paid n I get back 5 to 10 min later. sold my price to another person when I was ready pay inside the guy came in behind me (not sure name but he was there sat. When I was in figuring a peice) and told me it sold to someone else n they dont hold pieces. Sure it was a small piece for a smallest bathroom in the house (63×35piece ?) but they lost a future huge order I have to do the kitchen, master bath n 2 other bath and even other small jobs, they were not even sorry or tried to get me another piece simalar when im pretty flexible on this bathroom.Ill just go somewhere else. I try do work with small business ( family / mom n pop small business ).
I would 100% return here if I ever did another kitchen remodel. They did a beautiful job, were pleasant to work with, beat the price of everywhere else I checked, and were fast. They had my counters in within a week of doing the final measurements. It looked even better than I imagined it would.
This company is AMAZING. It is so nice to see that there is a company out there that cares about you and what you want. I had the pleasure of working with Jim. He made the process painless and my house now looks incredible. I had my whole house remodeled and the granite counters they put in are the star. If your looking to get granite work done to your home, dont waste your time looking around like I did, theres no need to look any further. Thank you Jim and National Stone.
I was a loyal customer since 2015. Recommended NS online and to a half of dozen of my friends. In 2015, Jim and the team did a wonderful job installing high-end granite at our home. At that time, we were provided a written estimate with the break-down of associated cost. The customer service was outstanding, the guys were knowledgeable and friendly. They damaged one granite slab, but replaced it within a week at no cost. Things like this happen, we had no problems with the delay. However, that was a few years ago…. The attitude at NS seem to change drastically. We came back last month and requested an estimate for another house. The fellow that showed up to do an estimate was seriously late. Two days later, he called and told us that the job is going to cost us $6K and we need to come to the store to pick the granite. Upon arrival to the store, we asked for a written an estimate. This fellow kept laughing and telling us that we are paying $35sq/ft and $3 for labor. That was not enough – we wanted a written estimate. Either this fellow did not know that the price for the granite varies significantly based on quality or was trying to pull a “used car” sales tactics. ($6,000 at $38/sq/ft = `157 sq/ft. Seemed a lot more that we actually needed.) Due to unusual sales tactics and unable to obtain a written estimate, we felt uncomfortable and started to head towards the exit. At that point, the “manager” came over and requested $75 for a written estimate. We felt that this behavior was totally unprofessional and walked out. Like the earlier review mentioned, the shopping experience at National Stone was similar to buying a used car at the fly-by-night car dealer. What is more alarming that the owner of National Stone never picked up the phone and called us to find out why the returning customer left the store upset. When a repeat customer who spent many thousands of dollars $$$$ in your business walks out unhappy, it’s a good business practice to reach out to the customer, discuss the situation and draw an informed decision. Waiting for a negative online review and doing “damage control” only diminishes the credibility of the owner response. 20 years in the business is not a testament of the commercial success. Many 100+ year businesses go under after they fail to recognize customer needs or improve customer service. We would never recommend National Stone to anyone.
National Stone is where your search for granite ends. They have beautiful stone. Their employees are knowledgeable, professional and friendly. This is a family owned business that wants to make their customers happy. Their work is precise and their prices are affordable. My Island table top is gorgeous, we love it. They will be doing my kitchen countertop very soon. Thank you National Stone!
Just came to look at quartz and granite countertops to get an estimate, gentleman who assisted was extremely rude and unwelcoming. He told us that they are only open to people who are ready to go and are not shopping around. I informed him that the countertop is ripped and ready to go. Informed him that we had all measurements, we just needed the granite or quartz. The gentleman said they do not do that, they fabricate and install it themselves, but they do not sell the countertop. In general the gentlemen did not want to help us or do anything. Wouldn’t ever return again.
My wife and I went in on December 9th to look at granite. We have a couple of built in areas in the house that we wanted granite on.Bought a piece of remnant granite, had it cut into two pieces. Measurements were slightly wrong, and the edges were all messed up. There are big chunks missing on some of the edges and I have pictures to prove. Jim agreed that it was messed up but told me that they can fix it with glue. Also, even though the whole time I was there I had told them I was looking for granite. After pointing out the bad edges to Jim, he said this is not granite, this is marble and it chips and breaks easily. Teresa and Jim told me that they just ASSUMED that I knew what I am doing. Not sure why they say that when they sell to the general public. If they want stone experts maybe they should restructure to sell to contractors only, like other businesses. Like that has anything to do with the poor cuts anyway. I told them I want my money back and they refused, didnt even offer refund minus restocking fee, like it says on their receipts. Jim doesnt inform you of anything, but then later he says he told you everything. Teresa was very rude and unprofessional, and Jim became that way after I told him I want my money back and just turned around and left me standing in their warehouse with no resolution other than repairing the new product with some sort of glue. This is brand new, why would I want that. I have to say that in the beginning the owners son tried to help, but in the end he disappeared. If you go to this place, beware because they dont stand behind their product or their work and will keep your money. Right now they have my money, and the product. I have nothing for $626 I gave them.
Was recommended to them. Purchased & had granite counter tops installed within 1 week. Owner & employees very knowledgeable & easy to work with. Installation went off without a hitch. Highly recommended.Marina & Fred
They have a decent selection of granite slabs. crew was very helpful and seemed genuine. had my granite kitchen counter tops installed within a week. price was very competitive. will definitely recommend!!!
National Stone is awesome!!! love love love our counter tops and back splash♥️♥️♥️
Terrible customer service! I was just in the store on Valley View. Met a guy whose name I gathered from these other bad reviews must be Zane . Upon entering I said I needed bright white Quartz slabs. I asked how much the Quartz slabs were. He was hesitant to even give me a price range. He finally got up and said he will show me some of their slabs outside. As I pointed from one slab to another and asked for a price, he would say Oh, thats very expensive, only rich people can afford that. And I would ask him how much was the slab or how much is it per square foot. On a couple he said the quartz slab was $60 per square foot. I said Oh thats not expensive at all. Thats comparable to what Home Depot or Lowes ask for but with installation. We continued on for a couple more with this guy not wanting to even give me a price for the slab but continued on to tell me that You wont be able to afford it, only rich people can afford this. Thats when I lost it and said he was terribly rude and said I will report him to his supervisor. He said I was welcome to do that. I asked if the owner was there and he led me inside where he called a woman who came out already looking defensive right from the start. The guy said I asked for cheap slabs thats why he said I couldnt afford them. I never said cheap at the onset. I said I was there to check out their prices. He continued to talk over me while the woman owner was just as aggressive in defending the rude worker. I said I am renovating a $1. 6 Million home that wouldve purchased $200,000 in materials and most in bright white quartz if they had it.Also, the guy said that I asked if the owner was Chinese. Before I set out on Valley View, someone had suggested for me to check out a store on Valley View and said it is Chinese owned. So when I ended up in this store I wasnt sure if this was the store that the friend had recommended so I asked if this store was Chinese owned. The guy took offense and the owner also was belligerent in telling me that I was a racist, and was told You better go to the store of your own kind. Get out!. I was in shock at this treatment by a supposed store owner and this guy who looked like they are of some Latin descent themselves. How in the world would they judge a customer and instantly say, You cannot afford this, only rich people can afford this. Although I am not Chinese, the woman owner arbitrarily said, You better go to the store of your own kind. I also had a $78,000 Mercedes Benz parked right in front of the door and the worker and I walked past it when we walked the lawn storing the slabs. A mindful person wouldve noticed because there were only two vehicles there which I suppose one was the owners. I was well groomed and carried in my arms a Maltese show dog. So where did this mindless workers judgement come from? The whole experience was horrible. This was a very negative place with terribly angry people as early in the day as it was. Their work day was just starting at 9:20 am. These people are not fit to face the public. This store should not be in business dealing with the public. That is if it were a real business and not just a front for something.I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and other entities to stop their harassment of the public.
Excellent sales, service and variety. Could not be happier. Just had my kitchen and bathrooms done!!! Recommend them highly.
Great people to work with, professional and friendly.. awesome customer service
I was trying to coordinate an outdoor kitchen project I designed for a customer. I was giving instructions on how to cut properly to make sure the bbq was snug in the cutout because my company has been in business for 30 yrs so we have a great understanding of how to make sure projects are finished correctly. Unfortunately we do not install the finishes though. I was met with nothing but disrespect, yelled at, told that they will not speak to me but only their customer, after their and my customer asked me to talk some sense into them because they were being ridiculous onsite. Then after being yelled at, and I mean yelled at...I was hung up on. Needless to say my customer and theirs was VERY unhappy and called back and told them how unprofessional they were.I, as a professional will never deal with this company or any company who feels that they know best and cannot listen to someone who has more experience specifically on outdoor kitchen. Most customers will just listen to whatever fabricators say, but since my company builds and designs the kitchens and does not install any stone or tile, you can imagine we deal with a lot of installers. As a professional I am saying to stay away from this company no matter what your project is.
It was a pleasure working with the crew at National Stone. We love supporting family businesses and stumbled across national stone in our search for new countertops. We had our island and countertops completed a few days ago. We would highly recommend them and use them in the future.
Looking for granite counter tops and having them installed this is your one stop shop. They did an AMAZING job on my kitchen. Very reasonable and very fast. AAAAA+++++++!!!!!!
I own a construction company and was recommended this place by a buddy of mine. I am pleasantly surprised with the outcome. Great company I will continue to so business with.
Zane at national stone is unbelievably rude. Excuse after excuse. I called 2 days ago at 4pm. He said the were getting ready to close so hed have someone call me the following day to schedule someone to come measure for counter tops. I never heard back so I called today. He claimed he called twice. I have no missed calls or voicemails. He continued to talk over me and push me away. I still wanted to proceed with the appointment but he hung up on me. I called back and he put the blame on me putting words in my mouth. Its like he doesnt care, value his job, or want the business. Very upsetting and unprofessional. ZERO STARS. Proceed with caution.------------UPDATE: Clearly the owners response below is a prime example of the mistreatment I went through today. Luckily I didnt get very far in the process and saved myself more frustration. Coming from an industry where the bar is set high and excellent customer service is expected, this whole experience blows my mind. It seems they have had several nightmares looking at other reviews and other complaints about Zane in particular. The owner, Moses has not taken any accountability or bothered to speak with me. Obviously its my word against her employees and she took his side. Putting blame on the customer and stating its a personal problem? I dont know what is more annoying; the blame or the caps/ smiley faces. I rather pay more than deal with a company like this. Its not surprising that many people below have gotten similar responses to their reviews. Thats awful! Family run or not, the customer service, ethics, and skill has to be there to succeed. Im happy to share some pointers Ive learned over the years .To clear up the confusion. I was not rude. I still wanted to continue with an appointment even after being hung up on. I actually didnt have the chance to speak. I give credit where credit is due. And will say if something went wrong. After all, that is what reviews are for. Good luck !
Was a bit hard to find because its somewhat behind a mechanic shop but incredible selection of beautiful granite and other stones.
The boss quoted me a price of $50 per sq ft on monday afternoon, tuesday they said that price was only for jobs over 40sq ft and it would be 30% more....felt like I was buying a used car ill spend my money elsewheresorry.....no misunderstanding whatsoever you stood in the showroom and quoted me a price and then failed to honor it 1 day laternow youre trying to make it my fault, you insult me, and then want me to come back ?????......thats NOT good service you earned your 1 star review
We recently began the search for new countertops and after a lot of searching chose National Stone for one reason, Mo Hachem. Mo is one of the friendliest young men weve met in a long time. He talked to us at length and showed us a huge selection of stone. He drove out immediately to give us an estimate. To our surprise there was no pressure to buy. We returned, picked our slabs and scheduled installation. National sent an installer named Ovaldo and he spent 11 hours making sure all the pieces fit in a house that isnt exactly square and cleaning up. Yes, he cleaned up! Mo even had them use a scrap cut to make a cutting board for us ( no extra charge). Well done National Stone and crew.
Nice selection of stones owner was very enjoyable to work with good company
Bought my granite from here, so far so good!
