Sahara was very clean and employees provided a very positive experience. The slots kept my husband and I entertained for a long time. Highly recommend this casino to everyone. This was the first time we have been to Saharas. Best kept secret. Ill be sharing my experience on my social media accounts. Thanks for an excellent time.
The folks at The Sahara were AMAZING! It started from pulling up to the hotel. The valet guys were do very friendly and polite. They assisted with unloading our things and getting our car parked. The receptionist was very professional and polite. Our room set fresh and clean. Everything about this place was just awesome. We definitely will stay here again in the future.
No signs to tell you which way to go after you got out of the elevator. We parked in the west garage not knowing that we had to walk the maze to the casino. Also the garage as well as the walk to the side casino entrance was very dimly lit and an excellent place to be mugged. Asked one of the floor people if Serene was working. The reply was WHO ? I DONT KNOW WHO THAT IS. Then she turned and walked away. So we just left the building. I can go home and have a better time. At least I wouldnt be made to feel I was interrupting the conversation amongst the dice crew and the floor person. It was Monday 9/27/21 between 8 & 8:30 p.m. ( slender Asian young lady floor person. Had on a suit & blouse unable to read the name tag)So as I said earlier with not feeling very welcomed we left and headed down to Reort World. Also the Sahara was not terribly busy so I didnt and still dont understand the incredible lack of ability to just convey some kind of a WELCOMING ATTITUDE.Most likely will not go back or recommend it to anyone I know.
We had a great stay. The upper level rooms has great views of the strip. Our room was very clean. No daily room service due to Covid. That was understandable. But you could request cleaning service whenever needed.
A nice resort thats a nice departure from the huge resorts on the strip, however if you like to be right in the center of the action this is probably not the resort for you as its located on the Northern end of the strip. Theres decent restaurant options on the property and 3 pools. The casino is average at best by Las Vegas standards.
Had a much better experience two years ago. Room was not the cleanest, and the bed was worn out. There was a lot of construction back then, and still a lot of construction this time around. Maybe due to covid. The slot machines were not of good selection.
We had previously planned a trip to Vegas and one wet booked putt tickets we realized that Eddie Griffin was going to be at The Sahara Casino. Of course this had been a dream of of ours big some time do I had to purchase tickets. The ticket were reasonable so that was a plus. Once we arrived the Sahara was very nice. The place was fairly busy. The restaurant were busy and the slot machines were going. The Sahara lounge where Eddie Performed was a nice sizeNot to big big big enough. Once we got in and sat down the place began you fill up rather quickly. Eddie Griffin was hilarious. His show sold out the forest night I think and the wait was definitely worth it. It a dream of mines to see him up close and personal and I did. He was so close I could have reached out and touched him. So if your looking four a good time without All the hassle look up the Sahara Resort. You wont be disappointed.
It is so far from everything you either have to take a cab/ Uber or walk 30 minutes just to get to the cool stuff. Everything is the hotel is very expressive and the ac didnt work😩🥵🥵
Love the hotel in generalStaff was very friendly & helpfulThe only downfall to this hotel is you cant get washcloths daily. At home we change ours everyday but while here for the week we had to reuse them or ask for them & was told multiple times by housekeeping that they didnt have any washcloths on their cart 😒When we would text or call the front desk they did deliver them in a timely manner. Just feel like staying here for a week towels shouldve been offered daily & not me requesting them
Not expected this bad service from 4 star hotel. Went there with group of people, stayed 4 nights, rooms were not cleaned even with requests. Felt cluster phobic and dirty carpet. Had to beg for drinking water, coffee pot is not provided in the room. They charge extra $200 while checking out as resort fee!! Be careful!!
This was our first time staying at the Sahara and we were absolutely blown away with their hospitality and customer service. Extremely professional, polite and accommodating. The room and bathroom were clean. The VIEW was breath taking. We cant wait to come back to Vegas. We have already decided to stay at the Sahara. Thanks for making our stay a memorable event.
Rooms are nice and well appointed. The only thing that wasnt replaced in the last reno was the phone, and I love the mirrors. The restaurants are all great and theres a wide variety to satisfy, however...if youre here for the typical Vegas experience, this is not the place for you. I was pumped to go to the adult pool, but it was less Vegas and more apartment complex, at least until the DJ starts. The distance from other things made it not really possible to stumble my drunk self back if I wanted to, ugh responsibility. All in all a cool place to stay, but not really Vegas.
Not quite sure who’s idea it was to take away the BIG HUGE downstairs pool outside the casino but that was the worst decision ever!!! The new pool is small and totally boring. I’m sorry but the previous owners of the SLS did a much better job keeping this hotel hip and fun. The new owners totally messed it up.
A little bit of everything here. We chilled at a bar Tangier, total chill lounge great music, non smoking for the calm down part of your Vegas day. Next smoked a cigar at the Casbar lounge just a few steps from the casino. Also great to unwind and chill but with that flavor of cigar. Pool with bar, room was clean, newly updated, shower was amazing, fit for two. Im coming back!!
Excellent stay, we will be back! My father and I stayed at the Sahara from Sept 4-9 2021. We were very happy with our stay overall. The rooms were clean (they have mattress covers), the mini fridge was working and the room was layed out well with 2 huge mirrors, a big TV and a spacious bathroom. We needed more towels during our stay, we requested them at the front desk and within 10 minutes they were brought to our room. Check in/out was also very quick and the customer service provided by the staff was good. Elevators are also quick (we were on the 20th floor). The only downside is they do not have a concierge due to covid-19 so you cant buy show tickets at the hotel. As others mentioned there is no room cleaning services due to covid-19 and no coffee maker in the rooms. This hotel is also at the end of the strip so be prepared to take the train or do a lot of walking. I would recommend this hotel
Very nice hotel, helpful to have free parking. The room was nice for what we needed it for. The shower water pressure is why you come here! It was like a majestic fire hose to the face which is so refreshing especially during summer in Vegas. Also the soaps were delightful. Very friendly staff, would recommend and be back.
Room was great! Very clean and beautifully decorated! Loved the two huge mirrors that were on each side wall. Got the room at a reasonable price and is not too far from the strip. Had free parking which is great and staff was very nice. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a good price and as mentioned very clean modern room.
It was a very nice Hotel/Casino. We enjoyed our stay so much that we stayed an extra night. The only problem we encountered was the Hotel Housekeeping never cleaned our room at all. Other than that it was a very nice place and the rates were pretty good.
I cannot say enough good things about this Hotel and Casino... We helped a friend relocate from AZ to WA then made our way through Idaho down to Vegas, and by far this was the best Hotel we stayed out. They had parking for our Truck and Trailer, zero issues. We got into Reception and MJ was so helpful and put us in a room that was gorgeous... Throughout our stay, we got Texts that said if we needed anything just let them know.... at Midnight we got hungry and Reception recommended Boston Pizza, and they were dead on, best pizza we have had in a long time.. When you are traveling to Vegas, consider this Hotel, We will definitely be back.
Nice hotel and casino. Got a nice room and it was worth the bit more money. Great view (wish I had pics but) website pics of our room were accurate. Actually it was a little nicer than the pics! Pool was fun. Thinking about maybe going back when the new pool opens. They still have 2 open. Lots of roulette tables in the casino and noticed and talked to people playing black jack...seemed like a pretty happening atmosphere most of my 4-night visit. Area was convenient, too, with Walgreens and monorail right beside the hotel.
I picked this location specifically because I was in love with the decor. While the hotel is nice and they have made some renovations and updates, I was disappointed to find out that the walls were essentially cloth tapestries. There was a lot of construction going on, which would have been nice to know about as it made directions and parking a little confusing. Also, it makes little sense to have the family pool centrally located near bars, restaurants, and in the middle of the casino where indoor smoking is still allowed. Overall, I’m satisfied with our stay but probably won’t be back.
Really cool hotel. The rooms were unique. We got upgraded for free so that was really nice. One of the restaurants serves peanut butter and jelly French toast. Its amazing
Love all the remodeling. Very clean and not too crowded. Would recommend getting new machines to print out club cards so it wouldn’t be a inconvenience to customers. Many places have adopted this option where you can input your drivers license and get the card printed right away. The club card area isn’t really friendly and sometimes their machines are down which doesn’t help at all when your not a local customer.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Sahara. It is definitely less busy than the other hotels on the strip being that it is further north. It is conveniently located right next to the monorail, which can transport you all along the strip for only $13/day or cheaper if you buy for the whole week. It was a very clean establishment and the service was friendly. I would recommend improving the following items:First, don’t ask for a tip for housekeeping while checking in and then inform us at the end that they dont do daily housekeeping.Second, pay attention to maintaining the rooms better. there were several issues including rotting door jamb in the restroom and sliding door would not open/close easily because it was rubbing the floor. This was supposed to be an “accessible” room and this would be a major dealbreaker for someone needing that benefit.Third, I would recommend having higher end bedding. The pillows and mattresses were not very comfortable overall.
Not terrible for midtown vegas. Lots of stuff closed due to pandemic.
So pretty, but they have no bathtubs. Most of us take showers everyday, so a bath on vacation is a treat. Its hard to forgo a luxurious bubble bath. I am sure its the drought, but makes the fountain show, water play at the other hotels seem kinda outlandish too then.
Positive: Great value and the monorail has Sahara as a stop, so transportation up and down the strip was cheap and convenient. The room was as advertised, and received complementary cup of Starbucks. Negative: The front desk staff wasn¿t very friendly or welcoming, she seemed rude and bothered when you asked questions. The guest service needs work. Better attitudes and more inviting.
Great staff but super small casino. Rooms seems good size and the hosts are really great. Just seems like the casino is trying hard but with a high limit room that has 9 machines that are high limit only and the other slots with minimum betters that will spend hours playing thru $100 only, it makes it tough for real gamblers to want to play
Overall enjoyed our stay at Sahara. The staff was helpful, food was tasty, and casino had plenty of options. Only one of the pools was open when we were here and it was only open til 7pm, which was a bit bummer. A lot of construction out from which made walking easily to nearby places difficult. Other than that it was a great time at Sahara.
The rooms are very nice. The ability to truly block out the sunlight is the bomb. Love the lighted mirrors on each wall. Beds are so darn comfy. Wish they had better dining choices and up to date website. Miss local specials.
We only went to place tickets in for football but the walk though looked excellent and parking wasnt hecked
The staff was very friendly. The casino was clean and not a lot of smoke smell. We loved our room other then the two beds were full sizes. The hotel is the last stop for the tram so it is very easy to get to places by foot. We enjoyed our stay and well be staying there again.
Cons:No room service. No microwave.Renovations taking place.Limited food selections/restaurants.Small pool.2nd pool is too crowded. No dresser in the rooms.Weird sliding doors to restrooms within the rooms. No hot water from shower on day 2.Restaurants are too expensive for the quantity of food given.Pros:Casino is roomy. Nice selection on games.Beds are cozy.Lit mirrors within the rooms are a cool touch.Bathrooms are nice.TV in room is 52The personnel who held our luggage until check in was pleasant.
Positive: The location, the decor was astounding. The staff were really attentive. Negative: I wish there were an all night eatery.
Great massage experience. Food at the Bazar incredible. Great service.
Awesome place to stay, very clean, nice restaurant options with great quality food, the room was clean with a great view of the strip
Not a good experience, the staff was too busy to help with the simplest of tasks like helping connect wifi...👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
Definitely be back. That Constance at the front desk was so pleasant.
The views were great and the stuff was nice. Be aware when choosing your room. Ask if the room is a non smoking room or not. I was giving a smokers rooms and could tell the difference. There was an ashtray inside the room. So I’m sure it was smoker friendly. I don’t smoke so I pretty much wasted an room for someone who might have wanted to burn one ha ha.Other than that, enjoyed my stay at the Sahara. Til next time Vegas!
It was okay. Down stairs on the main floor was okay. Bar was the best part super clean and well kept. The rooms on the other hand was the problem. Had a problem with ac not letting it get below 75. Called down stairs and they said someone was on their way to fix it. 45 mins later no one showed up. Called again same thing happen so just gave up trying to get it fixed. Elevator one night decided to come down all at the same time then doors would not close so could go up stairs for 15mins. Im not even mad at this i just found it funny watching people freak out about it.
So easy to use the monorail to get to the strip. The room was clean and quiet during the evening. We got breakfast inside the hotel, which was delicious!
The staff is very friendly and the drinks at the lobby bar were good. Thats really all I can say for this place. There were zero towels in our room, and it took 6 hours, 3 calls to guest services, and a meeting with the manager to get any. They are also doing construction which involved hammering on metal at 7a, so dont plan on late nights because sleeping in is a hard no. Most people were wearing masks but there was no enforcement for the people who werent. Such a bummer, but dont waste your time here, they clearly have some things to work out with the new management.
Very Clean & Friendly Casino 👍Bar 🍹 Service is Great 💯Very Nice & Clean Rooms 👌
It was overall a great experience...only short comings were not having any where to eat after 11pm during the week, and the worst part was not having a turn over service...and them using COVID as an excuse for why.
Positive: Safety. Negative: I was put in their lower class rooms. They have a section for online bookings. Someone was smoking cigarettes and marijuana in the stair well exits. All I was able to see from my window was a parking lot and brick walls.
Nice room, loved the lobby. Still under renovation so the pool areas are tiny. Some places in the hotel only open at weekends. We went to happy hour in the cocktail bar, it was quiet, but the drinks were all in plastic cups as they had no dishwashers and the Batman said he was the only one for the whole hotel. Our room was not serviced and trays etc were left in the hall for days.Seriously understaffed hotel. Will be nice when finished and it has a proper pool area, avoid until then.
We were very pleased with our stay here. The rooms and beds are very comfortable and the service was pretty good overall. The only thing we found annoying was the fact that all the elevators we were in smell like weed/tobacco. It would be helpful to have some sort of ventilation in here, particularly when it is 110 degrees.
This hotel was so beautiful! The room was stocked, clean and very cute! I loved the big mirrors! The pool was a decent size, having restaurants inside was convenient and the Starbucks was a great addition. Its on the end of the strip but still a great experience!
Positive: Not as crowded as others Negative: The room was small and the carpets were filthy. We had a spa experience and tho the massage was good the spa had no towels!! Seriously? One towel for your body and hair and to use in the steam room?
Absolutely my favorite place to do Gambling and just a getaway from being a local and being in my home.. I also love The staff thank you Sahara we stay with you once every 2 weeks for a couple of days love the westbrooks
What a surprise this casino was! It does have a relatively small casino floor if youre into that. I would have loved to see more of their stores and restaurants opened. Otherwise, Id probably go back again to see how it looks like with more life.
The description of the room was a “double room.” I suppose I assumed it would be two queens so it was a little deceiving. I asked for extra pillows and blankets as we had four people in our friend group so we were trying to make shift beds but the hotel limits your extra pillows and blankets two each per room which was annoying. The price for food in the building was insane but that also might just be Las Vegas pricing. The pool was amazing but the drinks at the bar were insanely priced. $32 for a 32 oz drink. That’s $1 for one ounce which is insane.
This was our first trip to Vegas. I wanted to take my wife to Vegas to renew our vows on our 30th wedding anniversary, and I wanted Elvis to officiate it! So we looked at hotels and The Sahara caught our eye. It was an affordable 4 star hotel, and it felt like a 5 star. Its conveniently located on the monorail, so you dont have to spend money on countless Ubers. The room was very clean, the bed was amazing, and the style of our room was very contemporary. I will be back someday and we will absolutely stay at the Sahara.
The reason for rating 4 stars and not 5 is due to the front desk representative Jayleen. Jayleen at the front desk/check-in was very rude from the start of check-in with me and my father. I had called a day prior to confirm the stay at the blanca suite, and asked him about the suite to which he snarkily replied Well its not even considered a suite ? With a rude expression or bothered the whole time we were there. Jayleen had us check-in later as well, despite me calling over the phone confirming our reservation was paid for and set. Not only that he advised we might not get the room we booked weeks in advance for. I called the hotel a second time upon leaving and the service over the phone was again the best, they advised everything showed correct and to head back when I could to check in. Jayleen called me back not even 10-15 minutes after I called surprisingly to advise my room was ready, when minutes earlier he said I might not even get it at all and was not guaranteed. ABSOLUTE horrible service by Jayleen, but the rest of the staff is really nice, rooms are clean and the stay was great apart from that! It started off really rocky with Jayleen and his attitude/service but I would book again! Honestly just avoid him at front desk if you can, go with someone friendlier and better attitude.
Rooms had interesting decor, beds were small, and the location was at the very end/beginning of the Las Vegas strip. They offer two pools. One is adults only and the other family friendly. Get there early if you want seating. Both polls offer poolside bar for your all day drinking needs or food. You can rent cabanas for an additional cost. Gambling on-site, choice of restaurants, Starbucks, and shopping. Property was right on the bus-line and you can purchase an all day bus pass for $8.
I dont see how this hotel is a 4 star. The rooms is an upgraded motel room 😑. They were clean, but I was not impress at all with the room. And the casino was not what Im used to seeing. It was cool for a turnaround trip, but to go back and stay nah Im cool
Very disappointing experience. We requested a smoking room, and it was like a dive hotel room. Bare amenities. No blow dryer, no coffee pot. Safe lick did not operate. It had been refurbished, yet looked like they tried hard to use cosmetic decorations that looked so cheap. When I tried to check out to move to a different location, they refused to return my deposit, because my reservation was thtough a vacation group. I wont return.
Positive: What I liked best was the small hotel feel of the Sahara. It didn¿t take very long to get across the property. Plus it¿s one of the few ¿classics¿ meaning it¿s one of the very few Vegas original hotels still around. Negative: I had a lot of issues with my stay. My room faced a huge video screen which was broken so it kept flashing red, green and white all night, the first night I was there. The 2nd night I was woken by construction banging at 3:30 a.m.
It was okay, but not that great. My room was decent, but had stayed at a Motel 6 that was just as nice. Now it did have a nice view of the Strata, so that was nice to see. Others in the group I was with did NOT have that good of a time though. Rather not go into too many details, but it was really hard for the others to change rooms due to their room being unfit for them to stay in. One instance was a room didnt have air conditioner, and the person had a health issue which she couldnt be in the room without AC.Our group was there for an event, and after our stay, they said we will not hold an event there again after it.
Positive: Nice new Lobby and like that casino is off to one side and not front and center at check in. Negative: Some places were only open at weekends. The pool areas are far to small, I believe the pool.is being renovated. At the moment few beds, no pool towels . No staff . Pool areas are a bit dirty with litter etc
Room was not very clean, there was hair on the sink and on the conditioner bottle in the shower. We got a non smoking room but it smelled like smoke. After booking and paying online, they requested additional payment for fees upon checking in. Apparently all the pools close at 7pm. Decor was outdated and furniture looked and felt pretty cheap. Blinds were broken in our room. Getting a ride share is kind of a pain as you have to navigate the confusing and dirty parking garage to find the pickup location. I definitely would not consider this a 4 star hotel and won’t be staying here again.
Enjoyed my stay while in Vegas has monorail access and free parking for guest
Love the beautiful yet simple style of the rooms. Also, the cool good looking black guy with the stylish hair cut who checked us into our room was amazing just as well as all the other friendly workers who gave us outstanding service during our stay.Thank you Sahara hotel-Sasha
Positive: Staff was nice, bed was big and comfortable and the TV was great. I loved the bathroom as well. The inside of the hotel was beautiful. Negative: I was surprised to see that the artwork on the walls was actually just a curtain. We booked a deluxe king and it did not match the photos online, it felt small. The hotel is way further from the strip than we anticipated so we ended up not going at all.
We didnt stay here but explored the property during our stay in Vegas. Looks to be a great place to stay.
The SAHARA provides unique, eclectic and modern atmosphere (with great gambling) alongside generous drink specials and tasty food; but what sets them apart is their exceptional service. As a second time guest and first time gambler, their staff kindly walked our party through every aspect of our stay. From dealers at the bequest of gracious management taking time to teach us house games, to managers providing remarkably personal service (Romeo) — the SAHARA provides all the amenities and atmosphere of a Vegas 4 star experience, yet at a fiercely competitive rate in perhaps the most intimate setting on the historic strip.Their service stands alone as the single best I have experienced in Las Vegas, exceeding all expectations and the performance of multiple, 5 star competitors.
Retro Hollywood experience I give it two thumbs up.
Nice hotel. Wonder what it means to be 4 star rated.
We loved staying here! It is at the end of the strip however, it’s so beautiful inside and the rooms are so unique! We just loved this hotel. The price is awesome too!We bought metro tickets for $40/person and had unlimited access for almost a week while we were in Vegas! Great experience, no complaints! We also loved that the pools were very crazy! We wanted to see Vegas without the Vegas craziness and this hotel was perfect.
Its always amazing staying there Id recommend
I really love my king bed with mirrors all around the room. Nice size shower and very nice room. I will be back here!!!
Positive: That the dealers were cool, and most of the staff were friendly. Negative: The room sucked, and their tv was horrible. You couldn¿t watch anything without paying unless you wanted to watch the 12 channels they had. The remote was horrible and always glitches. The bathroom was okay but the beds and pillows were so bad.
I really like this hotel! Its fancy modern and I love that you can just park and go up to your room not like all the other hotels that make you go through a casino just get to your room. Staff was friendly and fast. It is far from the main strip.
Good casino and ground floor shops, but the rooms were really low quality for the price you pay. Ive seen motels with better furniture.
This hotel is not worth the stay - need lot of improvements with guest services. I wont recommend this hotel to anyone. There are other better options in Vegas. They need lot of follow ups to get something done in your room like removing trash or providing fresh towels.
Nice off the strip location, refurbished not long ago, great staff, good restaurants more reoping soon I assume. Thought machines a bit tight but might be just bad luck as saw 2 people do well, one really well.
Positive: The lobby was very clean. We were upgraded to the vip room which was nice. Restaurants were pretty good. Parking felt safe. Staff was helpful. Room had nice bathroom and comfortable bed. Staff seemed super busy but stayed professional. Negative: The room itself was kind of small, but we did get housekeeping at least the first two nights. Also, the smell of marijuana in the elevators and hallways were overwhelming. On the last night there was non stop screaming in the hallway by a lady w/ 2 kids.
They were great. I was seen immediately and my room was nice. They were on the job. Making me very comfortable. I would recommend the Sahara Hotel to anyone
1. Far end of the strip, be prepared to walk or ride share.2. If youre looking for a mature experience this is not the place. Lots of kids and young adults.3. Pools close at 7pm.... Right when it starts cooling off.
Nice a little smaller and more intimate but has all the same features with less hassle than the newer bigger hotels. Much more classic Vegas
Positive: The staff was very friendly and helpful. My fiancé and I had many questions about where to go and where to eat and we always got a very nice and helpful response. Negative: The only thing I didn¿t like is that there was no room service. But, this is due to COVID so we understood.
The staff is friendly and the hotel is very affordable. If youre looking to be in the middle of the action on the strip, this place is not for you. My only complaint is about the beds. They are so small. The rooms are spacious enough to have much bigger beds to fill in some of the empty space.
Positive: Great location at the end of the strip. Enjoyed all the amenities, especially the Alexandria pool and bar. Will definitely be back! Excited to see the end result of the current renovations. Negative: No coffee maker in the room
Very nice accommodations. Wish the standard rooms were a touch bigger. Loved the bathroom and wall sized mirrors with built in light.
Visited before everything reopened and so any issues were blamed on pandemic. No one to take trash or change sheets. We finally got clean sheets to change the bed ourselves. Had to put the dirty sheets, towels, trash etc in hallway. They eventually picked it up...I guess. We checked out. Nice hotel, plenty to choose from in the casino, pool closed way too early, but overall a good place.
Great place to place peaceful friendly and fun. Being outside is not very great though. The local beggers will leave you alone but theyll stare you down. Becareful outside but inside is a 5 star resort lounge and night club feel. You can even see magic Mike live here, but they werent performing when I visited
The registration desk area was very nice and decorated nice. I was here to pick up my Enterprise rental car which their registration desk is across from the hotels main registration desk. I was very impressed by how the casino and registration appeared.
We paid for the Alexandria suite. Based on the pictures we saw online we thought we were getting these super fancy rooms... No. The decorations and things we saw were just curtains... Ive seen mirrors on the ceiling before but this mirror was ... Different. We should have chosen the regular room without the upgrade. The shower was nice and the people are genuine.
Not very nice nothing much around no good food.
I didnt like our room. The blanket was dirty, the shampoo and conditioner were cheap like water. I dont think it was worth the money I paid. I wont be going back there again
