I was in urgent need of a mechanic due to a fuel line leak in my 2008 Pontiac G5. Being a bit newer to the Lansing area, I found Bs Randall Auto Service on Google. I made the decision to go there due to so many positive reviews. Im happy to share that I was not disappointed.I immediately felt at ease leaving my car in Brians hands. He took the time to actually explain what was happening with my car, and didnt just take the keys and send me on my way. He also allowed me to ask many questions about the current state of my vehicle, and made excellent recommendations about what I should consider getting fixed next - if I chose to do so.I also had a shaking-while-braking car that was misdiagnosed twice by other mechanics. He was able to find the cause of this issue (messed up rotor), and fixed this for me as well.I really appreciated Brians professionalism, customer service, and overall kindness. Especially women since some car mechanics try to get over on Ladies cause they think they dont know about vehicles. This place doesnt do that.

The first mechanic Ive ever been to that didnt rip me off. Or charge me a single penny for looking when there are a few mechanics that will charge you well over a hundred just to look at it. Super honest mechanic and Im sure if I went any where else they would have told me itwas a must to fix or my car would explode. Something I would totally believe. Ive used their services twice now and I have had a great experience both times. The first time was for the power steering on my Dodge Avenger. Not only was the service fast and high quality, but the final price came out to be lower than the estimate! My second visit was for the brakes on my Ford Focus. They got me in and fixed everything within the same day and again the price was lower that I expected and the work was great too. I cant recommend this place highly enough! Fast, friendly service, and great prices.

During my time at MSU, I took my 22 yr old Nissan to a couple places. Bs is hands down the best. Their prices are great, theyre fast, and they never try to sell you on stuff you dont need. One time they even sent me to a different shop because they werent confident they could diagnose my problem and didnt want me to waste my time. I recommend Bs to everyone. They dont screw around.

I went in on a Tuesday because my car was making an odd noise. To preface this, I know very little about cars, and unless the check engine light/ oil light is on, then Ill be completely lost. I went in and talked with Brian, and he said he would take a look. My car was at the shop for 2 days and I got a call from Brian saying that my car was out of oil and he was checking to make sure it was okay that he put oil in. I gave him permission to do what needed to be done to fix my car. My car was good to go about an hour after he called. The total for the oil change was $32 (I drive a 2010 Honda Accord). What a great price! I usually pay $50-$60. Brian also wrote detailed instructions on what he did and what I should look out for in the future. I know that many mechanics can take advantage of my lack of knowledge, so I was thankful that Brian did such a good job and was transparent about the process. Would go again if I had car trouble.

If you want quick and quality service for an excellent price, Bs Randall Auto Service is the place to go! Brian and Tom are repairmen with integrity. You can trust them. They were very friendly and easy to talk with. They were upfront in explaining the condition of my car but in no way pushed me into any decision. They were not condescending at all. And, the 10% student discount was a nice added bonus! Easily five star service. Thank you Bs Randall.

The hardest kind of car repair is when the car runs fine most of the time, then without warning wont start and leave you stranded. Wait an hour, turn the key, and it starts right up and runs fine. It takes a sharp mechanic with years of experience to track down that kind of electrical problem and fix it. That was the story with my 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix. Turned out to be a pinched wire ! I am highly impressed with the mechanics at Bs. They were a good team. They fixed a difficult problem, and the bill was quite reasonable. To anyone looking for a couple good mechanics with a lot of experience, I recommend this place !

Update 1/14/2020:I still like visiting here especially if my car had bigger problems. Unless you are able to leave your vehicle here for the day I wouldnt necessarily come here for regular maintenance things including oil changes. They dont have enough staff. I had a problem with my car starting rough. I suspected and hoped it was the battery. They wanted me to leave my car for them to check it out. I understand they are busy with a small operation, but its tough for me to go without my car unless necessary. I took it to a parts store and they checked it and within a couple of minutes it was determined to be a problem with the battery. It was replaced and I was soon on my way. Brian and Tom are awesome, and I trust them. Id be willing to visit if I have a bigger issue with my car.... hopefully in a long time from now (pretty please, car).7 years ago:This place is the only shop I trust with my car. They are honest, and saved me money over other places. They even suggested that I should get a new car. What mechanic would do that!?! Now they are helping me keep my car going when I told them I didnt want a car payment. Both Brian and Tom are great guys and very friendly. Theyve gone out of their way to help me. I highly recommend Bs Auto. They were able to get me in right away after my check engine light had come on. Brian, the owner, checked it out and found the cause of the issue right away. He clearly explained the issue and patiently answered all of my questions. He was honest and sincere and let me know that he didnt think it was really necessary to replace the sensor that was causing the light. He made a recommendation but did not push me to do anything right then and there. I had a great experience and will be coming back in the future!

I dont think Ive ever been to a garage with such friendly service.Brian is a straight shooter and a pleasure to deal with----I will be using this shop for my automotive needs moving forward. Had to get a ball joint and exhaust system replaced.Some of the really brand-specific stuff (I have a turbo Subaru, which can be a PITA to work on) he recommended going to a more specialized shop for, but hes getting 5 stars for being incredibly up front and honest about it.Highly recommended!

Honest, efficient, and friendly service. If you are not getting your non warranty auto repair there you are making a huge mistake. The prices are fair, lets recognize auto repair costs money, but they go the extra distance to help us make good choices. My only reluctance in praising them, is that it may be harder to get my cars in for maintenance. Just a great place.

On multiple occasions I brought my car in because I thought it needed some serious repairs and it was going to cost a lot of $$$. Ill definitely be going here for any future car repairs. The two owners, Tom and Brian, are down-to-earth, honest guys who wont try to rip you off. Midas wanted to charge me about $230 minimum for a ball joint repair on one side, and then tried to tell me I needed other stuff done as well. Bs Randall told me exactly what I needed done, and charged me a very reasonable price to do it. They were also very quick and I was able to pick up my truck 2 hours within taking it in. I recommend them for sure!P.S. If you have a Chevy s10, go here. Tom knows them inside out.

Bs Randall Auto service is top notch! I have been going there for years and he even helped me find a new car when the car I was driving rusted to death. If I have a question about anything with my car, Brian will give me a straight answer. He will tell me the cost, how long it will take, and what more might be needed to get my car running well. I dont have to wait till my car starts showing signs that more work needs to be done.

I stumbled on Bs because theyre walking distance from my job, and have never considered another shop since. Brian and Tom are both fantastic- you usually get in fast and their turnaround time is amazing. They often come in UNDER the estimate for a job, and took time to show me a few tricks I could do at home to keep an old vehicle limping along. A complete old-school class act.

Id been driving my car roughly 4-6 hours daily for over a month, so I went to Bs Randall Auto Service (on two friends recommendations) to get it checked over. Within a day, Bs Randall told me my car was in good shape, which was not only reassuring, but also atypical of other repair shops who tended to generate a short list of items that needed repairs. I only paid for a recharge on the AC, which was something I had requested in the first place. Friendly, efficient, and trustworthy service; thanks very much!

I am very picky about who I trust my car to. I used to take it to the dealership for all maintenance and repairs. Now I take it to Bs where I know its not only going to be well taken care of, but I am treated with respect as well. I know I wont be taken advantage of. There are places that will take advantage of you if you are a woman...And I can say from experience that Bs Randall Auto Service isnt one of those places.Ive been bringing my car to Bs Randal Auto Service since December of last year. My car broke down in the middle of a blizzard. One shop said they thought it was my alternator. When I called my brother and asked him to pick me up, he insisted I bring my car to Bs. So, I had my car towed over. I told Brian and Tom that the other shop said I needed a new alternator. They could have run with that, but found all I had wrong was a corroded battery post. What a surprise! The other repair place saw I am a woman and wanted to charge me for an unnecessary repair!!! But not Bs. Bs Randall Auto Service told me what was REALLY wrong AND they cleaned the battery post...AT NO CHARGE. Ive brought my car back several times, and always received friendly, quick service. Between my brothers recommendation, and how I was treated by Bs...I highly recommend them as a trustworthy place to bring your car for service.

Asked for an exhaust repair and an oil change, got an exhaust repair and an oil change. Good price and they dont harangue you upselling stuff you didnt come in for. Bonus points for being able to reuse the old muffler, which saved a lot of money.

Towed my car here for a starter repair. They refused to look at my car and suggested I tow it to a Chrysler dealership (which cost a lot more). The tow driver told me that it seemed to be a starter repair as well as my brother who has experience in cars. Randalls reasoning to not accept my car was that they did not have the technology to fix it due to it being a Chrysler??? Maybe if they bothered to look at my car even for a second instead of refusing my car they would of identified that it was a simple starter replacement. Instead, East Lansing Auto Pros is doing the repair. Must be because they have the technology to replace a simple starter. I do not appreciate an auto place that will not take the time to look into a problem. For their arrogance I had to pay to re-tow my car, but after this experience I am glad I did!

Brian was more than helpful and kind to me while my car was in for A/C repair. While I didnt actually service the vehicle, he explained to me all my options, price points, and never once tried to sell me on something that wasnt what I specifically came for.

They assessed and repaired my car on the same day that I took it in. Randall Automotive on East Kalamazoo has really taken care of my two vehicles. Ive seen them over five times now, and Ive never had to take anything back or get anything re-fixed. They are also prompt - if I take something in, they can (usually) get it back to me the same day.I definitely recommend them for any car repair.
