We needed a new oil heater for the office and apartment. We ordered in August and were told that we might have a wait because of supply chain issues and covid (I know all about this - we ordered an air compressor in May from another vendor and it still has not arrived!). We scheduled an install appointment on 9/14/21. They arrived promptly, got to work right away and completed the job in one day. They left no mess and were very professional. We also get oil deliveries on a regular schedule for our foundry which has an oil fired furnace. There has only been 3 instances where we have run out of oil in over 14 years. They are usually prompt with the deliveries and if we call to say we are empty, they make it out within 24 hours.

Wonderful company! We had our annual tuneup for our furnace in the beginning of July and we thought it would be a simple checkup- wrong. Sadly we were informed our combustion chamber had sank, and there was a crack now on the front plate. So sadly the technician had to shut down the furnace due to safety reasons. So we were out of hot water. When we asked about how long it would take to get a new one in he said “maybe 3-4 weeks”! I about fainted. However, they were able to send a sales rep out by the following Wednesday and we found out what we needed and bought it. By that Saturday there were installers in who worked from 7am- about 3pm and we had our hot water back. Everyone was so kind and sympathetic. The installers were the best. They cleaned up and kept it so neat and the noise minimal. Our new furnace is so nice looking and we couldn’t be happier! Thanks Leffler!

I am pretty neutral on oil service. Yes they delivered on time never a concern of running out of oil. No their prices are competitive with other local providers. Always claim due to they company size it causes a higher cost. Seems backwards to me.

Lived in my house 4 months and they came automatically 3 times, once at 330$ again at 350$, then 380$ the 3rd time. They said they were doing that to gage my usage?! Leffler said that did seem to be a bit too often and when directed to a supervisor they said they would call back and never did. The guy who pumped the oil basically said they take advantage of new accounts. My dad bought a house one month after me and still is going on a one time fill up. Ill be looking to switch companies very soon.

They have left much to be desired. Customer service department is not clearly connected to the resting the company. I canceled a “protection plan” for my furnace and still was billed for it several months later.They also send someone to fill up my oil tank once a month. I’ve refused delivers over the phone but they keep coming to deliver 50-80 gallons at a time. I canceled the service and they still came back to driver again and were in and out before we could refuse the delivery. That could speak well to their speed and efficiency or poorly about respecting the wishes of their customers or former customers.Called to cancel services again and the loyalty department was too busy to take my call... so I’m clearly not the only person unhappy with services received.

I got home after 7:00 pm Friday evening to a furnace making an odd noise and the smell of fuel oil. I turned my system off and called for a service call. I was told someone would be out between 10:30 pm and 1:30 am. I received a call @ 9:30 stating that they need to reschedule my call due to many emergency calls of people without heat I replied I dont have any heat either. I was told sorry but we need to reschedule. OK can I get someone first thing tomorrow morning? Yes, I will have someone there between 8:00 and 9:00 am. 10:00 comes around still no one, I call back and find out my service call was pushed because they had to go to someone with a water leak. I was then told someone would be out between 12:00 and 3:00 pm its now 2:00 pm and still no technician or heat at my place. Not only dont I have heat but have missed a day of work sitting here waiting on a technician, if they would have told me they wouldnt have been here until later in the day I could have at least gone to work, made money and been warm.

Frustration does not begin to over it.The only reason they are getting two stars is that the employees at the head office are dreams to work with - kind, caring, knowledgeable, helpful, everything.Unfortunately, that is not who is in the field.Back in February, I reached out to my account head - Steve, to let him know that I will be converting to natural gas. It took him a bit to reply, and he was clearly not happy about it. Once I had the date of the conversion (in May) I let him know. Mid February by this point. He acknowledged (grumpily), but it was in the books. He warned me I would be paying an Early Termination Fee (which I did know would happen when I signed my contract with them last June if I left early). I agreed and thought we were good.Less than two weeks prior to the conversion, I get a frantic call from my neighbor - A Lefler truck showed up to fill my oil tank!!I frantically called Steve. No answer. I emailed him asking what the heck was going on, why on earth were they filling up. I forwarded him the emails of our discussions of the date and ending of the contract from February.I finally got a hold of him on the phone that evening, he apologized and wasnt sure what happened, but would be in touch.A few days later, I got an email from him explaining that he would not have put the stop work in yet as it wasnt the end of my account, however, they could not do anything about it now. Although, I could pay a slightly discounted fee, to have the oil removed.I got to pay for their mistake!After some back and forth, Steve agreed to waive my Early Termination Fee if I paid the discounted oil removal. Seeing as the oil removal was significantly less than the ETF, I reluctantly agreed.I never heard another word from Steve - such as when is the oil being removed. How are we closing out the account, etc.Day of the conversion, still no word. I emailed Steve to ask whats up...I got an auto reply HE WAS ON VACATION! Ugh.So I called the head office. The head office is filled with incredibly nice people! I had the pleasure of working with both Cecilia and Nick. Highly recommend both of them. I regaled my whole saga, reading out Steve and my email exchanges, the works. They. Were. Horrified.Also, turns out I had a credit with Lefler that took my final fee WAY down. They closed out my account, they were helpful and kind. I appreciated it.I emailed Steve to let him know I talked with the office, the account has been closed, and I need nothing from him. This email he did reply to immediately with a very sassy response explaining that nothing was his fault. Ugh.So, if you work with Lefler (which I do not recommend) only work through the head office. And if for some reason you get stuck with Steve, run for your life!!! He is rude, scatter brained, unhelpful, and just a mess.Im thrilled to be done with this company, but mostly, Steve.Good riddance, Steve.

Had a guy come out to tell me about my oil tank starting to leak. I said maybe Ill just go ugi gas and asked for a price on new furnace and ac unit. 3 months later no contact. I also have service agreement with them. So unfortunately I have gasconversion done and new unit installed by a local company. They were on the ball and did a great job. I do have to return diagnostics machine that lefler installed.

They are timely and fairly priced. Techs are respectful and knowledgeable about their trade. He showed me what he was doing at each step along them way and was able to explain why things were doing what they were. He even took the time to show me the different parts of my AC system. Overall, Im fairly pleased with their service. My house is nice and cool :)

I have a water leak with my furnace water heating system. I have to empty a bucket every 3 hours and my furnace room floor is wet. I pay for the extra service contract to get service any time 24 hours a day, seven days a week.I was pleased by the Leffler representative with whom I spoke to on the phone. She was very helpful and made getting a technician to my home a priority. The representative was friendly, professional, and efficient.The technician arrived he looked at the problem and told me he did not have the part I needed. He turned off the hot water, but the leak still continued. I am now waiting for a call to tell me the part has been acquired and get a time to repair the problem. I hope this gets done early today (7/17/20). I was disappointed the problem could not be dealt with immediately. I will follow up with an update.

My central air unit was just blowing warm air so I called Leffler for service. They were able to schedule a technician to come out the same day. He was on time, professional and friendly. He explained what he was looking at and gave me some tips about my system in general. Unfortunately my unit is very old and the compressor is bad and he is unable to get parts to repair it, so I will have to replace the whole unit. But my experience with Leffler was first rate

Very disappointed with their treatment of me whom they consider a loyal customer. We have been receiving oil from Leffler for almost 20 years. I never priced around, just assumed they were giving me the best deal since I was a loyal customer. Just got a delivery for 3.99 a gallon which is close to what I have been charged in the past years. Found out from my son who just bought a new home and was pricing oil that no one was even close to the rate I was charged. He paid only 2.39 a gallon. When I called Leffler I was told I was on the variable rate plan and needed to call to get a better rate. Offered me 100 dollars towards future deliveries if I stayed with them. Wouldnt even give me the credit towards the delivery they just made. No thanks. Loyal customer to them means someone you can cheat for years.Update- Received a call from Dawn with Loyalty services today and they are willing to work with me in securing a price cap for the next year. Also credited me some money back from most recent delivery. Nice to see that maybe they do care about customers that have been with them for years.

I recently had my heating system serviced for winter for our house, I usually do this type of service but was unable to do the service myself for I just had back surgery done. We chose Leffler Energy to do the service for the heat system for that my parents used them in the past I was very pleased with the service and the service Tech that arrived on the job. The service tech that arrived his name was Wayne, He was very polite and seemed to be very well knowledgeable of the heat system and what he was working with and what he had to do. I would recommend Leffler Energy and I would definitely recommend Wayne as a service Tech to anyone, we were very pleased with his work and how he conducted himself from start to finish

Just as the weather turned hot our 14 year old central air system quit working. The Leffler technician came and explained that the compressor had gone bad and he showed my husband the burnt out parts. He also explained the approved change in coolant in 2010, so, after a visit by a knowledgeable salesman, we purchased a complete new system which uses the coolant now approved by the government. Technicians arrived within a week and completed installation of the new system within 1/2 day. It is working perfectly just in time for a summer of hot weather. Work was followed up by the office personnel registering the new system and sending us the 10-yr. warranty registration paperwork by the next work day. Very good, prompt service by all personnel involved.

When I came home to no heat, I called Leffler Energy. The dispatcher was very nice and helpful. She said the technician would be there between 8:00 and 12:00 and he was actually there at 7:50. It took him two hours but when he was done, he explained what he did and what parts the furnace needed. He was EXCELLENT. Thank you Leffler.

I just purchased a home with oil heat, something I have never dealt with before. Anytime I have a question, they are always so friendly and helpful. They came out to my home without charging a service fee, since I am on a plan with them, and the technician couldn’t have been nicer. My home did not have a way to control the hot water temperature so he quoted me to have a gauge installed and the price sounded very fair, so we will proceed. He even helped me identify some plumbing (which was not apart of his duties) just to be helpful to our family. I’ll stick with them for as long as possible due to their customer service!

My furnace stopped working overnight. Joe, from Leffler, came to the house. Professional and friendly. It turned out to be a blown fuse but Joe made sure everything worked properly before leaving. I like using leffler energy. I just booked an appointment for my furnace cleaning and I got an appointment in a week. The service professional was on time an efficient and left the area clean. We got a detailed evaluation of our furnace efficiency and services provided. I am feeling confident that I will have no problems heating my house this winter.6/17/2021 I am updating my post because I had two technicians Rob and Brad who did such an excellent job on replacing my water heater. They are the gold standard in technical service. They updated the plumbing and the vent. They moved the tank closer to the wall. They updated the oil tank filter. They left the place cleaner than I would leave it. Great Job!. For the rest of the team- I called on a friday night and the service representative got me an appoitnment for the next mornning. The technician was out by 8:00 am to review our problem. The sales rep came out on Sunday and by monday I had a new tank. You cannot ask for better service.

Worst experience!!!! In December around Christmas time I had to call because I was without heat. Long story short I had to call 3 different times because the heat stopped working after a tech had come and said they fixed it. Had one tech tell me it’s trial and error. Not only did I have to call 3 different days, they kept quoting times for a tech to be at my house and they all showed up hours later. Turns out it was a refurbished part that they put on when they serviced my furnace in August that wasn’t good. Today (Feb) I called because no heat. I was quoted a tech between 1-4. Called at 3:30 because of past experience and was told the call wasn’t saved and therefore it didn’t go to dispatch. Was told the tech was in my town and would be at my house shortly after 4. Called back at 4:30 because I hadn’t heard from the tech and they told me he was an hour away. Canceled the call and I have someone else coming in 20 mins. What am I paying $200 for in a service contract?

They had to send a second technician because the first one encountered an unexpected problem and they did not charge for the second one. Dont believe the sales guys that come around to get your business. The guy that came to my home told me that if I sign a 1 year contract with them I would get locked in at 2.69. I was told I would not pay more than that for a full year and if the price goes lower I would get it at the lower price. Well, different story now. My recent bill I noticed I was charged 2.889. So I called them. Well now they are saying that NO I was locked in at 2.997. Of course I told them the guy that sat in my kitchen did not tell me that. I argued with them for almost an hour and they still were sticking to the 2.997. Then of course when I told them to cancel my contract that Im done with them and I would get my oil elsewhere. Then of course they wanted to charge me $399.00. I told them so you want to charge me for your screw up, really. I told them I will not pay that fee. She then said, so you want to continue with delivery. So I said, sure see where that gets you and I hung up the phone. They can kiss it, Im done with them and will get my oil elsewhere.I like how you replied to my post as if everything was taken care of! NOTHING was accomplished during this call and NO I am NOT a happy customer. But your reply sure does sound as if MY CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS GOOD!!!!! That could not be further from the truth. Bottom line your company does not care about whether customers are happy or not you only care about the money. Good luck with that from me!!!!!

Ive been a customer for over a decade now and have had zero issues/complaints with Leffler Energy. Ive found their customer service people outstanding, drivers friendly and courteous and technicians extremely knowledgeable on a variety of systems. Recently a new delivery driver had an issue with hooking up to my tank and was unable to deliver my oil. Service techs were dispatched to the house and could find no issues with my connector and rescheduled my delivery. The delivery driver came again but again was unable to connect to the tank so the technicians were re-dispatched to my house. This time, the techs (and their supervisor) waited on site for the truck driver to arrive so they could troubleshoot the problem/issue. Turns out it was just a simple learning curve for a new employee. Oil was delivered, Im warm and Im content. Now if they could only get the price of oil lower ....... :)

Terrible company! After being proactive and setting up an account when buying a home and specifically requesting NO DELIVERIES, they filled my tank at an outrageous price. Then continued coming each month after I told them not to. The rep I spoke to set up auto delivery even after she was told plus emailed not to! I am currently fighting to get it off my credit report. Each time I call I would get the run around and no one would get back to me! Go to a company that has standards and ethics!

Service techs have always been top notch.However, it does not really matter how good their service technicians are when the oil tank goes empty, again and again and again.We have a contract with Leffler to refill our tank automatically. Last winter, it went empty at least three times. This year, it has already happened once.Last week, the oil truck could not make it up or drive due to ice. I cleared the ice so they could return the next day. Here it is, six days later with another snow event coming tomorrow and we still do not have a full oil tank.Breach of contact is not a good look for any company. I absolutely do NOT recommend Leffler Energy to anyone.One month later...ONCE AGAIN EMPTY OIL TANK! TWO MONTHS, TWO EMPTY TANKS!WE CALLED LAST WEEK TO GET IT FILLED. NO TRUCK. WE CALLED LAST NIGHT TO GET A TECH TO GET ENOUGH OIL IN THE TANK TO START THE FURNACE AND WERE TOLD A TRUCK WOULD BE HERE TODAY. We had our first routine maintenance inspection and tune up a few days ago. The next morning a neighbor noticed black smoke coming from our chimney. I also noted that the site window on the boiler had blackened to the point that I could no longer view the flame when the boiler was firing. I called Leffler to report the issue. Within a few hours they sent the technician back to our house to check for the cause of the problem. After cleaning new deposits of soot from the burner he determined that there was a loose / faulty air valve and corrected it. There was no further black smoke, and the site window remained clean. The same technician returned the following day to verify that all remained operating normally.So, although routine maintenance did originally result in a temporary problem Leffler did dispatch the technician back to our house and the problem was resolved quickly, with no additional cost to us.In the year weve been using Leffler as our oil / furnace company weve been happy with the service weve received. All calls to the company for any reason are also answered quickly by an operator and handled well and professionally.

A big shout out to Erica first, then Cecilia took over after the shift change; they were both so polite and empathetic, but the best was THEY MADE IT HAPPEN. We were tired of the awkward scheduling and lackadaisical service from their competitor, and so out of desperation I called Leffler. As a new customer I expected to get the old story about lets see when were in your area. We were out of fuel and the next day I was to go through a triple bypass operation, so I was very concerned...but they came out that morning and stuck around to be sure the furnace would refire. It did. Then because of something I did, I prematurely ran out again. THEY felt bad (even though it was MY fault) and again immediately dispatched a truck and filled me up. The driver was super polite and helpful like the first crew; he bled the system and refired the furnace again. THEY ARE CONSISTANTLY ON TIME AND WILL NOT LEAVE YOU IN THE COLD.They are my heros. Service specialist solved a complex problem I have had for two years. I went through at least a year of unnecessary and uncomfortable high oil burning--adding I estimate $975 unnecessary cost, until it was finally found hi-tech thermostat wasnt working for a long long time. Restored to old-reliable round Honeywell thermostats (2) I then had months of no hot water until service man found transformer was defective. I am now hoping new unit will give me reasonable amount if hot water

The technician showed up right on time (around 8:15 pm in the 8 pm -11 pm window) and was able to fix our problem efficiently and quickly. With winter coming and a 1-year-old who was sick at the time, I was so appreciative of the great service!

I am very happy with the service Leffler has provided. I had water collecting on the floor around the furnace and they came within hours of my call, fixed the humidifier, and problem solved. Paid the monthly bill and they put a stop/hold on my automatic refill for unknown reasons, we ran out of fuel oil and the sludge clogged up the filters on my pump. so naturally I had to have their tech come out and fix the filters and then they tried to charge me for it. So we were out of heat for a full day in the winter and I even called them and told them that that we have 3young children,one of which now has pneumonia. The techs at leffler are great though, very fast, friendly and thorough. Oh,and to the owner, try explaining publicly to the low star reviews to get a star rating boost, answer the tough hard to justify reviews not just the high star reviews

Unexpectedly my furnace quit working on Sunday morning with wind chills at 15 below zero. To my surprise it service technician came out diagnose the problem. Was unable to get the part to be needed for a gas furnace on Sunday, the first thing this morning to coming out to install the part and get me up and running again. Service staff in the technician were very courteous respectful and competent. Its a pleasure dealing with a company that is professional!

I just flipped from a 1 star to a 5 star review. The poor rating was for high pricing and poor customer service. They took a survey I filled out seriously and called back. They listened to what happened and then worked with me to find a plan so I could stay with a company that has been delivering oil for me for nearly 17 years. Leffler, it is all about customer service. And this time, Yvette and Pam just exemplified how good a customer service experience can be. For that, I say thank you.

Fantastic company with excellent service. Any problems I have had with my heating system have been addressed quickly and efficiently. A few months ago we had a valve control for one of our heating zones break. A technician was out that day and was able to replace the part and have us up and running in no time. Recently, problems with our tank caused our heat to stop functioning. A quick phone call and it was fixed within the hour.

When I call I only get people who give me a hard time and I tell you that I have a 90 some year old and a cat in my house this last time my cat was that cold she was shaking and I had to cove her to stay warm and I had keep my grandmother warm so she didnt get sick and if this keeps up I can report the company to the office of aging oh yea I will go there you can not keep oil from me

I had a very positive experience over the weekend with Leffler Energy and their service technician, Rob. Its never a good thing to see a hot water heater pressure valve leaking, especially on a Saturday morning! I called their 800-number and was able to connect with a dispatcher immediately. She was thorough, asking good questions and confirming my concerns. Rob, the technician, arrived right on time, and immediately diagnosed and repaired the issue. He was friendly, courteous, and professional in his work and step-by-step explanation of the problem that had occurred. Thank you, Rob! Thank you, Leffler!

Cant recommend highly enough. We have a 64 year old furnace. Thing took a dump, one-year-old daughter didnt have heat in her room. Joe G in customer service was all over it. He sent out Eddie the tech, who was 13 hrs in to a 20 hr on-call shift. He spend more than an hour with us figuring out how a furnace older than he was got Frankensteined into a monstrosity and wouldnt work. He got our heat back on and gave us some great recommendations. We hooked him up with some chicken tacquitos. Really never worked with a company this dedicated. Hope you liked the tacquitos Eddie!

Tech did the job in a reasonable amount of time and had enough sense to call for help when he couldnt figure the problem out on his own. problem was a bad part on a boiler less than a year old. Not very comforting.

Haven’t had a negative experience in my 3 years with Leffler, but they are also the only company I have worked with in my new home. The good things I can share:My bill (I’m on a monthly budget plan) has gone down each year and I won a gift card just from having my name entered in a drawing for a routine visit/maintainence.Going into year 4 as a customer and no complaints yet! (This after reading a bunch of awful reviews)

I used to be very happy with Leffler energy but recently the customer service has declined significantly. Today I took the day off work for the 12-5pm window (scheduled several days in advance) to have my AC looked at. A technician called at 3:15 to say We are on our way. At 4:30pm still no technician. I called the customer service center and the female that answered said they had an emergency call. I understand emergencies happen but couldnt someone have called me.My house is 80 degrees and maybe thats an emergency for my family. Perhaps there should be someone to handle the emergency calls other than the one taking the routine appointments. So the customer service rep said weather permitting they may show up around 530 or 6 pm.I have been a loyal customer for 11 years but these last 3-4 years I have been frustrated with the lack of courteous service and also rising service plan costs, it may be time to make a change.

We switched oil delivery to a more affordable company. Although Leffler has been notified of the change (numerous times) they keep calling and calling and sending cards through the mail. Its upsetting to my 90 year old Mother. Ridiculous and harassing.

Had these guys replace an AC system for me. They did a great, clean job. Its only been in 2 months, so I cant speak to the quality of the equipment yet, but the install seemed very well done. They were cooperative with my work schedule.
