I went to get an oil change. They did not put oil back in my truck. Gave me the wrong oil filter. Also, did not screw my drip pan back in. All in one appt! The 2 week damage almost cost $1000 work of repairs. Horrible place. DO NOT GO HERE.

The staff here are so helpful and honest. I was a bit early for my oil change and one of the workers let me know that I still had a couple thousand miles before I needed it changed. They topped off my fluids and told me just to come back at a later date to get it changed. Definitely my go-to for my oil changes!

The service provided was quick and efficient. The Assistant Manager Brad was very polite and informative. I will definitely return in the future!

I absolutely dread getting my oil changed. Most of the time it takes so long or the employees are very aggressive with extra stuff being done but take 5 was the total opposite! It was my first time there and the experience was excellent. The nice employee Isaiah, was informative, quick, and very nice! I will definitely be going back for my next oil change. Due to a longer than expected road trip, my SUV needed an immediate oil change, on a SATURDAY morning. I knew I would be in Lakewood on Saturday and Take 5 was open at 7 am.Dave and his crew were on top of everything, even though it was 7:45 am on a Saturday. Attentive, efficient, professional.Had my oil change, plus an extra quart added, my wipers inspected, my wiper fluid topped off, my tire air pressure checked and air added, filter checked, and windshield cleaned. All done in 15 minutes.Honestly, it felt like I had driven back in time to a full-service gas station (minus the gas).Dave and his team are a true pit crew with professionalism

The Manager, Dave was very professional and courteous. He had to order an oil filter that was not stocked and it was there when he promised. I stayed in my car during the oil change and they topped off the fluids and checked tire pressure. It was a very positive experience and I am willing to drive the 90 miles to get there (since there is no Take 5 near where I live) when I need an oil change on any of my vehicles.Highly recommended!

UPDATE:I decided to give this place a second chance, especially after customer service said they would address the issue, and Im so glad I did. They checked my tire pressure, filter, fluids, and of course changed my oil, telling me everything they were doing and the results of each task. They were friendly, informative, and exhibited outstanding customer service. The manager David was great, and a newer employee Mik asked thorough questions which I appreciated and also learned from. In and out in 15 minutes. Plus I had a coupon, making this trip more affordable. Ill be going back.ORIGINAL:First time at Take 5 and the process was quick and easy like I needed, however the service was actually insulting. Despite the pandemic the employee leaned fully onto my open window and into my car to greet me and followed with a series of disrespectful comments, like responding to my question about which oil he recommended for my car with Dont worry about that, Ill take care of you, and only informing me about their more expensive options without knowing I called ahead and knew there was a much cheaper one. He then told me I would need new wipers ASAP before winter and acted presumptive that he would be changing those out for me, only for me to drive across the street to AutoZone after (where theyre much cheaper) to be told Im nowhere near needing new wipers. When we got to the total cost, I again caught that he forgot the coupon I mentioned many times and we had to backtrack. (Toward the end he gave it up and began asking me before reaching into my vehicle etc.) The epitome of a stereotypical salesman. I wanted somebody knowledgeable about oil changes, not someone hitting on me and skimping on the info I need to service it properly. Ill try Take 5 again, but not the Lakewood location.

Thought I could save time and get a quick oil change, but not only did the team at Take 5 on Detroit Road in Lakewood break multiple bolts on my Toyota 4Runners skid plate, they also did not replace panels that they took out. I found this out when taking it to my dealer for the next oil change, and its going to cost me $200 to repair the damage they did. In addition to paying more for the convenience, I now have to pay for additional repairs. Thought I could save some time, but will never go there again.

The guys were kind, respectful, and not pushy. They finished up quickly and had me on my way in no time.

If you dont change your cabin air filter here is what it will look like!

The one on West. 117th is terrible! 162 and Detroit is the best!!I pulled up to the one on W.117. was in the lane on the left, a large van was in the bay. There was a car next to me on my right waiting as well because there was a car in front of him in the bay. After about 10 minutes of waiting the large cargo van in front of me pulled out. A woman who had a uniform on and blonde hair with a mask but I could not see a name tag came out asked me what kind of service I wanted. I told her and she informed me that I would have to back out of my waiting space to let the car that was next to me to go in front of me because its first serve? I asked her where it said that anywhere because there is no signage whatsoever stating first come first serve. She walked away from me as I was asking for the manager. Dave, who identified himself as the manager came out and he told me the same thing first come first serve I asked him the same thing where is the signage? His statement to me was why do we need signage? I said because it would make things more easier if the people pulling into your establishment knew what they were getting into. His next statement to me was, God put you in front of me have a blessed day??? I then left that establishment and went to the one on 162nd in Detroit in Lakewood I was in and out in 20 minutes and they were wonderful! I did ask the manager there if they had a first come first serve policy? He looked at me strangely and he said no,, its why we have two bays and two separate lines. It kind of makes my point doesnt it?

Great experience, would highly recommend! Dave and the guys took care of me and were so friendly, helpful, and professional. They had my oil changed, tires filled, windshield wipers changed, and wiper fluid filled all in about 15 minutes. They also checked the air filter and other fluids for safety. Wonderful experience!

Dave and Marcus were extremely polite and helpful during my oil change! They explained everything beforehand, weren’t pushy on the add-ons and got everything finished within 10 minutes or so. They also pumped up my tires and let me know of a couple of things to keep my eye on which I appreciated. Will definitely be coming back!

I took my car here for an oil change, and I will bring it back here for everything my car needs that they offer. Their staff was highly knowledgeable about what my car needed, and walked me through every step of what they were doing and why they were doing it. They didn’t try and give me products I didn’t need so they could make more money. The visit was quick and painless with all the help of everyone working there, and I couldn’t be more thankful!

This is the place I take my car. Once they do an oil change you can stop back for a check up FREE. When Im going on a long drive in My old car Ill ask for a check out. Always makes me feel better if I know the tire pressure is good. Wiper fluid up, oil full, transmission good.If you have an old car like I do. For peace of mind, ask them for a safety check too.Tell them Joe sent you...they will say Joe Who...thats me...

At Take 5 they were thorough. Did many things without being asked. They noticed some bolts loose and tightened them, I only know because I heard them talking to each other about it. They didn’t brag about details like that or make me feel like it was part of “customer service”. That gave me a sense that they were taking good care of my car just because that is their ethic, not to win over the customer. They filled all the fluids, checked my tires, did everything very smoothly and quickly. Good teamwork with each other, they appeared to respect each other. I liked that they didn’t talk to me a whole lot. They seemed very focused on getting to work on my car, very thorough. I trust those guys.

In had the best experience at take 5 in Lakewood. The men working were so incredible accommodating and kind! I could not have asked for a better more efficient experience. Highly recommend this location! Pulled in on a Sunday afternoon and the staff serviced my car right away. They were prompt, friendly and professional. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable during my visit. Everybody who works here is super kind and knowledgeable. They dont try to oversell or pressure you on things you dont need. Plus they went above and beyond to help me replace one of my tail lights (I had the bulb already). This chain has always given me great service but this location in particular is wonderful.

I was greeted with a smile and a water as I arrived today at the Lakewood location. The staff was friendly and had my information pulled up and handy as the oil change took place. They checked my car thoroughly and spoke to me frankly about my car and how I could better care for it. Each staff member who worked on my car was polite, respectful, and looked me in the eye. As a woman, I dont dread them upselling me which is a big deal. The newly appointed assistant manager took care of my paperwork and put me at ease. Overall the experience was great.

I like these people. Ive had 2 oil changes there, and both times, the employees were pleasant and conscientious. This time, the guy saved me some money by fixing a small thing that I thought needed replacement. Must be a good company - I think you can tell by the employees, how the company is run.

I took my car in for an oil change, which I normally hate doing. I find it stressful for some reason (dont want to accidentally drive my car into the pit). The team at the Take 5 on Detroit in Lakewood was awesome. My crew was Clarence, Tim and Tim. They were so nice, and professional, it was refreshing. They answered all of my questions and took the time to explain the importance of an oil change. I no longer will fear the oil change with this crew working!!! Again, they were nice, friendly, professional and efficient!

Dave does a great job handling vehicles and customers. They explain the addtional services they can provide and do it in a manner where youe not pressured or compelled to say yes. They run an efficient shop. Youre not in there for a long stretch with nothing going on. Its become my go to oil change spot from here on out.
