I took my 11 ACURA in because the Check Engine light was on. I received a call few hours after dropping my car off and was told they could not run the diagnostic check because my battery charge was too low. They offered to replace the battery, but I declined because I thought their cost was too high to replace a battery. I went in to pick up my car and had a bill for $149. I asked what the charges were for, and was told it was for checking the battery. I was shocked and paid the bill and drove home. This has bothered me for days. Hence this review. The battery was disconnected because all my settings were deleted. Can Tvetens explain to me why I had to pay $149, only to be told I needed a new battery, and my original problem was not addressed? I have been a customer since 2005.

Does what is needed and is the only mechanic I have met that Will talk you out of what isn’t needed and explain why, saving you money.

They took us on a moment’s notice and fixed our problem immediately. Couldn’t be happier that we chose this spot.

I went to have my AC/heater checked because I had replaces fuses and blower motor and assumed it was the blower motor resistor that needed replacing. They charged me 106.00 but a piece you can find for under 40 bucks. When I asked for the make and model of the party I could hear two parties whispering and then they gave me a print out of the “part” and said it was an original part and that’s why it cost more. Don’t go here. This place is a rip off. Seriously!

My overall experience was good having my car worked on at this shop. They even paid for free towing. My only complaint was the price. But I got what I paid for: Great Service!

This establishment is VERY professional! The hospitality is through the roof. I will be taking my truck to them until I leave for another duty station. Ray was super nice, respectful, and professional. I dont remember the ladys name at the front desk but she was also the same as Ray. They fixed my truck in a timely manner and its running very good now. There was no price gouging just because Im a woman. I gave a three star because Tvetens does have very good customer service and will indeed look after you and your vehicles needs. However they charge way too much in my opinion. I asked for a quote on changing my front brakes (pads and rotors) and to flush my brake fluid and they estimated $750-$800. A job I knew I could do myself. I got better brakes then they were gonna throw on, all the tools needed for the job for only $220. No way its $500+ in labor. I have also had other outrageous quotes for small jobs.. Nevertheless they do a great job, but the same job can be done at other great auto clinics for half the labor cost.

I am grateful to stumble onto this shop when my alternator suddenly started failing in middle of work day. They got me right in, provided a loaner car so I could return to work, and had my truck done by the end of the day. Thanks!!

My car needed 2 catalytic converters replaced. They were awesome in helping me find financing as well as fixing my car in 2 days. My car drives so much better now and my fuel efficiency is amazing. Highly recommend.

Had purchased a used car and took to Tvetens for a check up. They did a wonderful job of going through the car. As the car had been well taken care of there were only two items to be done -- wiper blades and a new oil switch. As usual all the employees were kind and helpful. My parents had taken their cars there and were always satisfied.The 30-point inspection was thorough and relevant to my cars needs and usage. Nicole, the front desk operator, is very personable and always works hard on my behalf to make sure were being taking care of. Ive been coming here exclusively for almost two years, and Ive never had to go back because something wasnt done right. Love these people. The shop is also conveniently located in the Lakewood Town Center so I can do some errands if all Im doing is an oil change.

I like Nicole, but Raymond the manager try’s to scam you. It’s funny how he keeps charging you extra money just to open things, when most shops just charge one fee for a full diagnostic test, not (oh we want to open this and that but it’s going to be an extra amount.) That’s not cool, run that game on someone else, bc I’m not the one.

I found this service clinic for my car when I moved to Lakewood. The responsiveness of the personnel is wonderful. I especially was impressed with Nichole and her ability to anticipate my needs. So I wanted my driver side tail assembly replaced, easy job. My wife had gone to these guys before and they are close to home so figured Id drop in see how much it would cost to put this on my car.$325.14!What the actual hell? I could replace my entire bumper cover for that much! Hell even get it repainted.All I wanted was a light put on.They wanted to charge me $213.35 for the assembly, when I asked them why so much for the part they must have not understood why I asked because they responded Thats just how much it costsThe reason Id asked was because I already knew how much the part was and they had jacked up the price 42.65%Why lie? They jacked up the price on the part by $122.35!I asked if they could put the part on if I bought it, I was first asked why, then I was told they would not do it.If the price is jacked up so high, I dont even want to imagine what the markup on labor is.The straight out dishonesty made me never want to go back.

My car was a total mess, needed a lot of work and a lot more looked at to find the problems. A day wouldnt be long enough to look at it all, but Tvetens not only got me in same day that I called but they offered me a loaner car so I wouldnt be stuck without a vehicle during the repairs!! Ray detailed everything they were going to do for the car as well as estimates of cost. He called before doing any more work than originally estimated, which I was extremely grateful for. AMAZING, friendly staff, they went out of their way to make it an easy process for me. I would highly recommend this business to anyone that needs auto repair, they went above and beyond what was necessary to help me out and did it all with a smile. Let me start off by saying... WOW! I called them on a recommendation and a prayer. My family and I were leaving on a move across country and as luck has it the truck broke. I talked to Nicole and explained the urgency of my situation and how I needed it fixed as soon as possible. I told her I didnt care how much it cost just as long as I could get it back before we left. She told me to get the truck down there and they would do everything they could.Long story short, they did it! Not only did they get it fixed they didnt gouge me. I got stuck near this shop, my GMC Sierra wouldnt start. The team here had a tow service pick me up and bring me in. Im from out of town so it was important to get the issue fixed that day. It turned out to be a bad alternator, they swapped it out and I was on my way. Fair price, great service, great team!

Great service and workers. They took care of my vehicle very quickly and correctly. They fixed it after I had just taken it to another place close to Tvetens. The other place told me there was nothing wrong with my vehicle, after charging me a $60 diagnostic fee. I even had to explain to the other manager how my vehicle was supposed to function, after having owned four similar models myself. Needless to say, I wont be going back to the other place.

I brought my Fusion in to check my brakes after my brake job because they seemed to be squeaking. The technician checked my car out thoroughly and asked if I drove my car very often. I dont and he seemed to know that. He then explained that I needed to drive it more often just to break in the new brakes. My Fusion was brand new when I bought it so its been a long time since I had new brakes. I forgot that I needed to do that.I find Tvetens to be a very friendly and professional shop. When I originally brought my Fusion into the shop for a few issues, including my brakes I also brought a quote from Ford for the work I needed to have done. Just a little sad it took $150 to diagnose that the car was dead, I wish they could have determined it quicker. Great people that simply care! My truck happened to break down 1 block away from them...I thought I knew what the problem was, but I didnt have the right tools. They totally saved the day when they let me borrow what I needed, and then to top it off, they actually gave me a ride to a parts store! A few months ago we started going to Tvetens Auto Clinic and have had exceptional service. They took me back to the shop to show me what was wrong with my car. Im a Delivery Driver for Dominos pizza. I called them to see how soon I could bring in my car to get some test run on the brakes and an oil leak issues. They could have gotten me in the next day but I was working all day so they got me in the following day. I brought the car in in the morning and they guaranteed I would have my car by 6:00pm that day for work. Sure enough I got my car back at 4:30pm and they gave me a ride home and picked me up to bring me back. They definitely have earned my return business.

Reliable, competent and courteous (picked up wife at home when car was ready), However, do not have Tvetens do routine maintenance, because labor costs here are extremely expensive.
