This is the second bad experience my daughter had at Lambs Tire & Automotive. The first time my daughter took her car for a simple tire repair she was deceived with several high pressure sales tactics into purchasing service and parts that were not necessary. After she called me to approve these purchases we received 2nd and 3rd opinions from other Automotive Service Professionals who informed us that the parts and repairs were not required.Today (Saturday, Oct 2, 2021 & 14:00) we attempted to get her car inspected at Jiffy Lube and other inspection service providers in Lakeway Texas. Unfortunately, they either didnt have an inspector on site or were not in business today.We then reluctantly resorted to taking our car to Lambs Automotive.When we arrived, all three of their service bays were empty and it seemed like a ghost station.After waiting in our car for 5+ minutes, I decided to see if anybody was in the office. After entering the office, I observed three employees sitting down, chatting with each other while completely ignoring me. After finally getting the attention of one employee I asked if they provided inspection service. He said Not today and he abruptly returned to his lounge chair and resumed his conversation with his colleagues without giving me the time of day.Do not do business with Lambs Tire & Automotive

I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was smart and honest. While I was waiting for an oil change, a woman came in to pickup her car. The manager, instead of trying to sell her as many services as possible, told her the car ultimately would be non repairable. He didnt charge her anything on top of being an honest person. They made a customer today

I needed my tires rotated and balanced along with a State inspection. They completed the work just fine and charged me full retail. However, they failed to tell me they were currently offering a coupon for a discount on a lifetime balance and rotation which would have saved me about $30. I’m not to happy about that.

They checked starter and alternator and fuel injection kit. They were fantastic from the first inquired call. They worked with towing company and even picked me up at home to get my car. I plan to have more work done in couple weeks. They are a trustworthy company and staff!

Always a fair price .good Diagnostics. .good staff. I like the new online make- your-own appointment feature now. Online also allowed me to ask a question and make some comments which actually resulted in a phone call from the manager which was good service. It sure beats the old days where you just showed up and got in line. I liked showing up for my appointment time and they were ready for me.

Christian.That man is a saint. We brought in a used car we had just purchased from Carvana and he has dealt with the insurance company’s tomfoolery, the VW dealership for reprogramming and coordinated the towing that had to be done on two separate occasions.We were updated a lot and he explained things in layman’s terms so we could follow what was going on with the car.10/10 would recommend. They have earned our business as long as we are here.

I had a flat tire on a late Saturday afternoon, right before closing time, and Lamb’s guys were really helpful, professional, friendly, and efficient. I had my tire replaced in less than an hour. It was a great experience and I would definitely go back.

Total lack of communication. I live and work in Lakeway and thought I would try out Lambs to get some tires replaced and rotated on my older Lincoln Navigator. Everything seemed fine with selling me tires when I stopped by on Tuesday, even after explaining that the vehicle had been in a wreck and has a bent frame. This was the very reason I gave Chris when he was working on getting me tires. They didn’t have what I needed but could get them there the next day. I paid for half, per their policy, and they said they would call me around 10 when the tires would be dropped off. At approximately 11 on Wednesday, I still had not heard anything so I dropped by. Wesley at the counter checked and said that they were in. I asked why I didn’t get a call and he said it was because Chris was off and he didn’t know anything about it. I was told they would do the work and call me when it was ready. I dropped off the keys and walked across the street to my office. It was my day off, so I was going to stay busy until they called. After several hours, I called them to ask if the vehicle was ready to be picked up yet. I was told that the technician wouldn’t work on the vehicle because it had been in a wreck and he wasn’t comfortable putting tires on it. I can understand if that is the case, but why make me wait several hours and force me to call you only to find out you’ve done no work to the vehicle. When I returned to Lambs, I expressed my displeasure at their lack of communication. The manager Terry was more interested in interrupting me than what I had to say. I didn’t feel listened to, and I felt that they were irritated that I would even tell them about my concerns to begin with. I didn’t feel that they handled themselves very professionally and left with a sour taste in my mouth. So while I can’t comment on the quality of work they do, I can say that the quality of their professionalism is poor. Use at your own risk.

Went in for an oil change, was greeted by Wesley. Got the best value for a full synthetic oil change in the area. They called within 20 minutes of me dropping my truck off and suggested I do a couple other maintenance items. I had thought when I bought the truck from a local dealer these had been done and they informed it was not listed on my carfax so it was most likely not done. I appreciate that they subscribe to carfax and will updated my vehicle maintenance so I do not need to keep paper copies of everything. Great guys & great service in a timely manner, nothing more I could ask for. Huge shout out to Wesley and his team!

Called this shop on a Friday, asking about a state inspection. Was told to come in on Saturday morning when they first opened at 8 AM and that I could wait for the service. Did so and was third in line which ended up being about 10 people deep. By the time the shop opened at 8:15, the one employee checking in customers was very rude to the customers including me. He told me and several others that we had to drop off our vehicles, that we were not welcomed to wait. By the time I left the second employee who is checking in customers was telling them that they could wait. Overall a very dissatisfactory experience.

Went in as a walk in and got taken care of right away. The only issue that needs to be addressed is the pricing on the website was $49 less. The disclaimer is buried maybe it needs to be a bit more transparent. The location on 290 actually had it for $390 all included. So unsure about the variability.

I am typically only a dealership service type of customer. I met Asst manager Wes who was very professional and knowledgeable. His focus was on what was best for me. The services performed were top notch, pricing very aggressive and quick turnaround. I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking at any of the services they offer.

I took my 2002 Ford Ranger in for a an intermittent squeal coming from the serpantine belt. They diagnosed the issue within the belt tensioner and power steering pulley. Since the power steering pulley is one piece with the power steering pump, they stated I needed to replace the entire pump. As soon as I picked up my truck the pump made a new incredibly loud whine. I highlighted the new noise to the representative and was told that is normal and just an aspect of the design of all new pumps available for my truck, but would get a little quieter as the air worked itself out of the system. His reply didnt really make sense to me, but I took him for his word. After driving the vehicle for 2 weeks/102 miles and noticing no change in the noise level, I returned for a follow up inspection/repair. After reinspecting the power steering fluid they found large amounts of metal shavings within the system.I believe they installed a bad power steering pump in my initial repair, which then introduced metal into my power steering line (As I had no issue prior to their repair work. My original issue only involved the serpantine belt). The metal they introduced subsequently made its way into and destroyed my rack and pinion. They said they attempted to drain the system and flush it, but metal was continually being introduced. They told me theyd warranty the pump, but I had to pay to replace the rack and pinion...which I consider foul number one, since it was their fault I even needed to replace it at all. I compromised with them and paid for the part and half the labor for an additional $827.27 on top of what it originally cost me to replace the pump. I still feel I shouldnt have had to pay anything to correct their mistake. Following this repair I was told the system was fixed and should have no further issues. Again I noted that the power steering pump was still incredibly loud, but I was again assured that was just the nature of the power steering pumps available for my truck. I was tired of going back and forth, so I just accepted it for what it was.1 year and 1,010 miles later the system began to fail yet again. The pump noise became even worse and the steering wheel began to surge when turned at all. Learning my lesson from before, I found a new mechanic who corrected the issue with a new power steering pump, rack and pinion, and pressure line as well (Lambs never replaced that line and likely reintroduced the metal right back into the system). Not only is the fluid line actually free of metal now, but imagine that, the power steering pump is silent again. I will not be returning to Lambs for future service on any of my vehicles.

Took in my Lexus RX for warranty repairs, and the team there (Christian, Josh, Justin) took great care to inspect the car, finding a leaky water pump, and handled a lot of back and forth with the warranty company that allowed us to replace the pump. During the repair and oil change, they noticed the oil pan was leaking and also got that approved and repaired at the same time.Great group of guys that cares for their customers. Highly recommended!

We were customers of Drivers Edge prior to them selling to Lambs. Always satisfied with their service of our cars. Lambs has been great this far as well. Very professional and pretty decent pricing for the fundamentals (ie Oil Changes, Tire Service, Brakes, etc). We love the convenience too.

The staff is courteous but I was disappointed with the level of craftsmanship and timeliness of the work my car received on my recent visit.1- I used the appointment scheduler and made sure to include the service I was requesting and details about my car but didn’t receive a confirmation until after I called the location. It seemed that my on-line request had been ignored.2- once I arrived for my scheduled appointment, I was surprised to find out that the oil required for my SUV needed to be brought in from another store, so the original commitment of completing the work in 45 minutes resulted in a 2 hour wait.3- I observed the staff having to push my car off the lift because they had not parked it correctly and the lift would not go down.For these reasons, I would suggest finding a more professional garage to do your next scheduled maintenance.

Last month I was unfortunate to get a flat tire that was not repairable. I decided to take my car to Lambs to get it replaced because Discount Tire was by appointment only and I needed my tire fixed the same day.Purchasing the tire was a fine experience and I only had to wait about an hour. However, with my luck I got another flat about 10 days later in the same tire that was also not repairable. When I took my tire back to the shop to get ANOTHER replacement thinking it would be free because of the warranty, to my surprise the assistant manager told me I declined the warranty protection.The issue here was that I was never offered a warranty in the first place. Raven, the girl who sold me the tire, never once mentioned I would have to pay an extra $20 or so dollars for the additional warranty. Obviously if I was asked if I wanted the warranty I wouldnt have declined to take the coverage. Especially for only $20.After arguing with the assistant manager for a few minutes about how I was never offered warranty coverage and had expected to have the warranty cost included in the $260+ charge I originally accrued for the first SINGLE tire that was replaced he called the general manager, Joshua. After speaking with each other for a few minutes the assistant manager told me there was nothing they could do for me. I would have to purchase another tire.This kind of customer service is unacceptable. It was not my fault Raven didnt offer me the additional coverage at the point of sale. I was also informed that their training requires them to offer this additional coverage. Well I guess she never got that training.I will never do business with Lambs again. It is shame, also being born in Austin, to see a local business treat its customers like this.

If I could give zero stars I would. They actively scammed me by looking at the “wrong tire.” I went for a $50 service and they wanted to charge me $500. They lied and refused to provide any kind of reasonable explanation as to why their “error” would cost me so much money. I’ve never had a business charge me for their mistakes.... no other industry is this way. Please do not support a business who refuses to do the right thing when they make errors- spend your money with honest people!

Update: Vincent the district manager promptly took care of this issue and listened to the concerns and showed genuine care. There are differences in requirements in 1 and 3 years that were not presented and we worked it out.Thanks so much Lambs for coming through!—-I had an alignment done along with tires mounted and balanced. It is an old car car that I am reconditioning, and I was advised that my struts were so worn they couldn’t get a proper alignment. I was told by the team then that if I replaced the shocks to come back and they would get it done for me at no cost under the 12 month alignment adjustment warranty. I like to work on cars as a hobby so I would take care of this myself. I was also advised that one of my tires was damaged and that it would be recommended to get another one.I had been coming to this shop for years when they were under the Drivers Edge brand and had no reason not to trust the advice. After replacing the entire suspension and getting the tire, I came back 3 weeks later for the alignment and mounting another tire.Now, due to restructuring, it was all new team members. It was in the middle of Wednesday and I had taken off work to come pick up my car when the service advisor told me it was ready.When I got there, I checked out with the new team and was only expecting to pay for the mounting and balancing of the new the tire. Instead, I was charged for another alignment as well - ~ $130 !I pushed them on the warranty and they said because I put new parts on it didn’t apply. I told them that the previous team at this location couldn’t get it aligned three weeks previously and that they directed me to come back after it was fixed so they could get it aligned!As I had to return to work, I didn’t want to argue. They sensed my frustration and offered a $15 discount on the tire pressure sensor rebuild kit for the new tire. Funny thing is - this car is old and doesn’t even have tire pressure sensors, so now I felt doubly taken advantage of.Being in the middle of Covid and tough job times myself and needing to get back to my job that afternoon, I normally would have fought it.However, this has been bothering me for weeks that a trusted local company I have been doing business with for years has become dishonest in the way they do business.You lost me.

It is a small room. That aside, I appreciated how they were nice to my dog and how they kept me informed about the repairs needed and how much they would cost.

Complete fraudsters ! Towed my car in for not starting. They charged $99 to look at it - told me I needed a new battery and new starter = another $700 in addition to the first $99 ! Ummm? I towed the car elsewhere: to find it was a dead 3V battery in the key fob (security system then does not allow start)
