We bought a glass display cabinet online. We thought it was to be shipped assembled, so agreed to pay $240 for delivery to our front door. Unfortunately, the seller contracted with R+L Carriers for the final delivery leg. R+L unilaterally decided that they only had to deliver to our property and not to our door. They wanted to deliver it with a semi. We told them a semi would not be able to fit down or turn around in our dirt, tree-lined lane. They then sent their smallest truck, a box behemoth, probably 50 feet long. It made it down our lane and into service access, but could not make the turn off onto our drive. The driver, probably 6’ 4” and 280 pounds, was surly. He did not bring anyone to help him carry the item or a dolly. Turns out the display case was not assembled and had been shipped in an open wooden crate 6’ by 4’ by 6”. It weighed well over 150 pounds. We tried to refuse the item because (1) it was unassembled and (2) the driver would not deliver it to our house. He told us we could not refuse it. He then made my 5’ 7”, 155 pound, 66 year old spouse pick the crate up off the ground and carry it to the barn with him. Because of the height difference, my spouse got most of the weight to carry. I called the company to complain and the supervisor made the driver seem like Mother Teresa. He blamed everything on us, saying we should have known their smallest truck was 50 feet long, that they don’t deliver to front doors ( why should they?) and why should they provide two movers or a dolly, huh? So I hung up on him. I have no idea how this company stays in business with this attitude. It’s for certain no consumers would knowing/willingly ever utilize them. Sellers need to stop using them.

If i could give 0 stars i would, my $2000 shipment was damaged droped upon delivery causing me hundreds in fixes, delivery took 5 hrs longer than quoted, i planned my work day on the 2 hr window of delivery that was 5 hrs late, didnt recieve any of my paperwork that was supposto come with my shipment,i would never recomend this company to anyone. Worst shipping compqny ever!

Service was quick and easy. I called to schedule my delivery the day before and customer service was awesome. She told me the package would arrive between 12 to 4 and I received it at 2:45. The Driver was very respectful and even asked where I would like the packages to go. OVERALL it was great experience for my first going through then and I received them in under a week

Set up a pick up at 9 in the morning. They told me at 11:30 the driver would be an hour and a half away. At 5PM they told me the drivers exact location, 10 minutes from site. 30 minutes later I walked outside to watch the truck turn around and leave. Without the appliance. Was then kept on hold for more than 30 minutes before I gave up.

I unfortunately did not get a choice of shipping companies when my flooring was purchased and sent to a business for me . ** I ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT HAVE CHOSEN R+L CARRIERS ! ! ! ** I do not want to reward their terrible service with one star, a NEGATIVE 8 thumbs down would be very fitting. Flooring was scheduled to come in on a Friday. I waited one hour. I waited 2 hours. I waited THREE hours on site for them to tell me that my shipment will arrive Monday instead! I understand things happen, but when scheduled times are unable to be met have the PROFESSIONALISM to COMMUNICATE!! It is very basic common courtesy and very easy to make a phone call. Fine then, I will return Monday. I asked customer service to please have the driver call or text me 30min before arrival, so that I have time to get to the delivery site. Mind you, this is no where near my home. I am attempting to be considerate so that the driver does not have to wait long.. like 3 hours. They do NOT communicate AGAIN. My shipment has been waiting and I am holding the driver up from other deliveries. I get there and the pallet of my flooring has two busted boxes. The driver tells me to take it up with customer service. Ha! Customer Service?! You mean Chump maintenance? R+L has already been paid, they have my money. They have wasted my time. They should be in politics. They do not care about their customers, just their own convenience. *** DO NOT USE ***

Where to start well first the driver was so rude and obnoxious that we almost came to blow in my driveway. He then refused to deliver because we took a picture of the truck to use in the review and contact his boss. When we reached out to the company they sided with the driver and said they would not deliver. We had to pick it up at their warehouse an hour away. When we got there the man that took my information was disturbed because I wanted to read the forms he wanted me to sign. The when I said I wont sign fo the item until I inspect it he was put out to say the least. How this company survives with total lack of customer service is beyond me please dont use them they are awful. Hit them in the pocket maybe then they will understand the power of customer service and reviews

When you get delivery of a 150Lb item you expect them to drive up the driveway. Not this company. Got a 100Lb girl to sign for it and just left. Called the company Jeniffer no callback and her supervisor Just kept saying Curbside only. Most delivery companies that do the last mile have a plan for the last 200 feet, not R L Carriers. If not public review who cares.200 feet is important in home delivery, Your big companies customers who use you like Tileredi.com sell Free home delivery not curbside delivery. I scheduled a delivery for 5 with someone named joann, left work early to beat the truck, noone was there I called to find out where the driver was and she said anytime after 5 and he would call, hours passed no call from her or the driver, I feel lied to and this whole thing has quickly became a bad experience. They told me I have to wait 2 more days to get my item which sets me back on everything I planned. I would never knowingly use this company again let alone recommend it, they really dropped the ball.

Best LTL carrier I have seen so far. They sent a text to schedule a delivery appointment, delivery appointment was very quick to set up, and they even ask questions such as would you like the driver to phone you before. Only took 2 days from pickup in PA to delivery in FL and the driver was great getting the pallet to the garage and was on time. Great experience.

The customer service from Erica Roberts was horrible. My shipment was schedule for Tuesday from 8-12:30pm but the delivery wasn’t here by 12:30pm so I called and reschedule for Thursday anytime after 12pm. The driver still showed up Tuesday at 2:45pm after I had called and reschedule but we were not home. Then Thursday the package was a complete no show. When I called Thursday evening to figure out what was going on Erica Roberts said that no one there would have scheduled either of those times with me. I gave her times that I spoke to reps at the company but continued to be rude and would not even help to resolve the issue. She kept raising her voice and speaking over me when I was just trying to explain the situation and wouldn’t even hear what had happen.

These people are the WORST in the business. The dispatch will list you as a call ahead and the drivers could care less. Then if you call dispatch about it you get someone equally incompetent in their job to tell you there’s nothing that can be done.Just an absolute pathetic organization.

Great experience with the staff at the office, flexible with scheduling! That was all completely overridden when the delivery driver was 3 hours late with no warning, explanation or update. He was rude, refused to bring the package to the front door and was completely unprofessional. I had called to see if there was any update, and the dispatcher was short and said hed be there within the hour. 90minutes later, I called again to be told that the driver was 20minutes away, and he finally arrived 45minutes after that.

Had an expensive item delivered thru this carrier and they totally mishandled it damaged it and now the seller won’t do anything because of the careless ness of this company! BEWARE they don’t know how to handle packages or read apparently my invoice clearly said do not stack or do not put anything on top and that’s just what they did! Now I’m out 2500$ of equipment SMH

How about your company retrains the drivers on safety and how to speak to people politely. A handful of your drivers have ruined it for the good honest hard-working folks at your company. You have S.O.P standards and they should be followed to the letter.If you cannot see the two back tires of the vehicle infront of you, YOU ARE TO CLOSE! How about you add that to your handbook, clearly its not written, because there are several of your guys that do not following that rule.I disagree with your statement of, safety is our top priority. It may be so for your company, but not your drivers. I am on the same route your drivers are heading back to the main office on HWY 33. Guess what, safety is not their priority.

Erica called (the day of my delivery) to let me know it would not be arriving. I asked if it could be rerouted to my house instead of my business the next day because I had an electrician coming to install the package. She took my address and said she would call me back. Did not call back. The next day when I call to inquire is it being delivered to my house or my business, the answer is neither. They decided to just let it sit there another day. It was fun handing an electrician $450.00 for no work. It was awesome burning a day off from work too. Thank you R+L for bad communication and the logistical inability to calulate when something can be driven within a 3 day window. If you dont care if orvehen something shows up tgen certainly use these guys. If you didnt hire them, then contact who did, because you will get 0 empathy from them. They cant logistically string together that you are the one paying the bill.

Dave delivered my new generator. He waited for me to get home from my job 20 minutes and then delivered by means of a hand pallet jack all the way to my garage approximately 150 ft down my driveway. We noticed that there was a little bit of damage to the box and he helped me lift a 200 pound generator out of the box to check for damaged. Awesome thank you.

We have been using R-L for over 10 years. We have recently shipped an order to Panama city 32413 address and got a bill for re consignment because they claimed that zipcode changed. I checked in google, address is correct. and the address is still in Walton county. But since they sent the shipment to wrong terminal without looking at the entire address, the address we shipped it serviced by their pensacola terminal.As a customer, I entered the correct address and I dont care which terminal service to that address. Caliza lane Panama City beach 23413 is the address. now they call it Alys Beach doesnt even exist in Google.I called them to talk to Glenda Brock in Talahassee terminal, she has ZERO customer service skills as far as I saw then I asked her manager. John the manager in same terminal admitted that he get similar billing calls all the time but he cannot fix it because he also claims Panama City Beach is in Bay County . I said some portion of Panama City beach 32413 zip code is in Walton County and regardless, that is not my problem as long as I entered the correct address. Then I called the corporate office, same attitude..I am surprised and disappointed that they were so eager to bill a customer for something we done nothing wrong but confirmed the address with google and if they were doing the same thing by entering entire address, they could have shipped the material to correct terminal. but they just looked at the zipcode and shipped to Tallahassee terminal.As customers, we dont care which terminal servicing which address, our responsibility ends by entering correct address and weight, crate to BOL and we did.Summary, horrible customer service from their Tallahassee Terminal Dispatch and Manager. poor handling of situation..Thanks to our local Tampa rep Mark Houmes that he removed this bill from our account today after I have reached out to him.

I liked working here until I got sick one night and needed to leave but they wouldnt let me leave until the work was done even though I had good attendance and stayed longer on days before that. If your planning on quitting, dont give two weeks notice they will let you go the next day so that they can have the last word. I gave it three stars because the team that I worked with were nice. When corporate is in the terminal people dont act what they usually act like.

I searched everywhere to ship a kayak I sold on eBay and all the big name places like USPS FedEx and UPS all wanted over 1000 to ship it and I found these guys somehow and I was able to ship it carefully to Texas from Florida for only $190. Really cool people and a lifesaver, they are out of Lakeland.

Worst customer service ever. Tried talking to manager, Heather, who kept cutting me off and threatened to hang up on me. They want to leave 1100 pounds of delivery in street in front of my house. Yeah, I dont think the police want skid sitting on residential street. Refused deliver . Wont buy from anyone who uses R & L as a third party carrier. Good luck if you use them .

This company is ridiculously bad. Our neighborhood requires that every person must present a valid drivers license to the guard at the neighborhood entrance, but the R+L driver refused to show his drivers license so I was unable to receive my delivery. When notified, the company said, We cant force our drivers to show their drivers licenses. Its a personal choice. Now thats some customer service right there.

Agree with the previous reviews about horrible customer service.Delivery driver was rude. If you are going to accept shipments to residential addresses, you should be willing to bring it inside the address rather than only to the front door. If something is being shipped requiring the use of the lift gate, it would stand to reason that it would need to be at least dollied inside the address. He asked where I wanted it and I asked for it to be brought just inside the door. Literally 3 feet into the house (enough just to close the door and then I would slide it myself) Instead, your driver would only leave it outside. Would definitely not recommend.

We have been in business for 8+ years and the past 3 times we have had a delivery (every other week to Orlando location) they claim there is always a problem with loading a pallet of product. I wont fit, I cant do that, Ill unload it in the driveway. Everyone has excuses and it appears that it was a common practice for these drivers.For the past 8 years we havent had a problem with loading product untill your company. I recommend competent and confident drivers or better training. With this review your company has lost a client for good. Wish I could say something positive.

The absolute worst delivery we have gotten. Our pallets were absolutely destroyed with fitness equipment and equipment took damage. Your driver actually took the pallet off the truck and put it in a huge puddle of water. It seems a lot of other people who have left reviews have had the same issue. Driver complained pallet is to big to go in but we have just as big pallets from other companies inside our facility in perfect condition. If we feel nothing is done about this I dont mind going to the BBB. Once our issue is taken care of I will delete the review. Incase anyone is wondering the delivery was in Kissimmee Fl on Vineland road

My experience was horrible. They had our number and never called. Tried to tell us they didnt have a valid number, they never even attempted to use the number. Lost our chaise lounge and told us it wasnt their problem. They were rude, crude and are not customer satisfaction oriented. They tried to put the blame on the seller. They are crooks and should not be in business. Someone stole that chaise lounge and they did nothing about it. They are pathetic liars and thieves. Dont use this company unless you want to be ripped off and lied to.

I booked R+L through a 3PL and when my items were returned, the shrink wrap was decimated and several items were missing. I filed a claim, which R+L denied, unwilling to accept responsibility. The claim was only for $750, but I guess thats about what their business is worth. Ive used them numerous times in the past, but will not use them again.
