Izzik is, quite simply, the best barber Ive ever experienced. What is more: his care, service, expertise, and results are in a league unto themselves. With a client-focused mentality and service-oriented professionalism, he has separated himself from the masses. A one-of-a-kind experience, to be sure. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

Ive bounced around different barber shops for the last few years looking for a place I can call home and with a barber thats good. This seemingly easy task has proved to be impossible... that is until last week when I booked a last minute cut at Gentlemans Edge. The proprietor, Isaac, has been there for 18 years and you can tell he loves what does. A true craftsman, serious about his work, but quick to crack a joke too. Wonderful guy and an excellent professional barber. My quest to find my home barber is over. Thanks Isaac!

This is the only place in Portland I feel comfortable getting my haircut. The owner Isaac is a super funny and chill guy and will have wild conversations with you. He is excellent at doing his job, and coming here is always a great experience.

My husband and I relocated to Oregon about a year ago... We moved into a large upscale retirement community which provided us with a listing of recommended service providers such as doctors, dentists, lawyers, tax accountants, service stations and barbers. The Gentleman’s Edge has exceeded my husband’s expectations and he has been going back religiously since his first visit. Isaac is the consummate professional, providing an excellent haircut, while also providing wonderful guidance for someone like us, new in town.

My hair looks great. Isaac runs this place and really knows what hes doing! Lots of good conversation and positivity. He loves cars and took some great shots of my car which was fun too! I wish my hair grew faster so I can go back. Check it out. Youll have a good time and look good.

Always a great experience getting a hair cut here. You do not make an appointment but instead come in and chit chat with the couple of other people in the shop, try to solve a puzzle or read a magazine. Even with s couple of people in front of you the wait wont be too long. Certainly the only place I would go get my hair cut in Lake Oswego

Coming from a guy whos gone to Birds Barbershop in Austin, Tx his entire life, I felt more like I was in a version of birds that could have been. I actually havent been in few years, but he greatly improved my regular look in a way I havent been able to get from premium salons since. Issac is not only a professional barber, he is a great person to know and cares about his clientele. Ive finally found a barber who can cut my hair consistently and the perfectionist in me is always at ease. Id highly recommend him, his experience and quality is unmatched and there is no other barber I would trust to cut my hair. My boyfriend has been going to Isaac for his haircuts ever since we met. This guy knows what he is doing! He not only trims him up, he makes him look stylish and classy. I’ve been getting haircuts at the Gentlemans Edge for about five years and no other barber has the same attention to detail as Isaac. The Gentleman’s Edge engages in all sorts of topics for conversation with the additional formula one racing, golf, tennis, and other great sports playing on the television at all times. Isaac is a great barber who knows exactly what he’s doing and constantly checks to make sure he is meeting your expectations. I wouldn’t have my hair cut by anyone else.

I no longer have to worry about franchise operations where people come and go all the time and you have to worry about how your hair is going to look each time they switch people on you. Isaac is the master of his space and profession. Excellent barber, wonderful guy. Very fair pricing. Takes pride in his work and stands behind it, too. No reason for me to look anywhere else for a haircut.

I first saw Isaac five years ago on a random stop on my way from Eugene to the Portland airport. I couldnt believe how much better he cut my hair than the stylist I was using at the time. It was so memorable that two years later when I moved to Portland I sought him out and have been seeing him once a month ever since. He is very consistent in how much focus he puts into your cut and you will be happy. Isaac is also a friend. So much so I made it a point to bring my girlfriend in at my last cut just to make introductions. Id sum it up best by saying that seeing Isaac has become a lovely tradition that I always look forward to. You should do the same.

This is officially the only place I will get my haircut in/or around the Portland Metro Area. All those hipster chop shops simply do not stack up to the level of detail I have experienced at this shop. A five star experience every time.

Izzik is a true professional. While I always get a terrific haircut, as importantly, I enjoy the conversation and how friendly and comfortable he makes his shop. It is a great place just to hang out for a while after your haircut. There are always interesting people in the shop, and fun conversation. I am finished looking for a barber. My regular barber retired leaving me out in the cold so to speak, and I ended up trying the Gentlemans Edge Shop in Lake Oswego. First let me say I have never in my life had a barber as knowledgeable as Isaac. I am 71 years of age with white hair that has been acting weird ever since it lost its color. It has always given barbers a problem, but not Isaac. He knew exactly what caused it and how to cut it. Also, informed me I should always ask a barber to cut my hair to 3/4 on the side and back, and 3 on the top. NEVER, has any barber Ive used in the past ever been so specific. He is meticulous and doesnt mind being patient to take the time needed to cut your hair correctly. Ive never paid as much as $28 for a haircut, but even so what I recvd in service, etc. was worth the cost. If youre looking for a barber I highly recommend Isaac.

I was referred to Izzik about 7 years ago and would never consider another shop to touch my head. friendly, clean, professional, and he cuts great hair. Not to mention a fresh barrel of red vines are always close by. If you need a consistent, high quality haircut, The Gentlemens Edge is your best bet.

Izzak is the best deal for a barber youre going to find in Lake O, I have dense hair that gives most barbers nightmares, but Izzak just took right to it and gave be the best haircut I have ever had. GEARHEADS REJOYCE! If you are a lover of cars, motorcycles, or anything with a motor, Isaac is the man for you. We chatted for almost an hour about cars, motorcycles, engines, aerodynamics, and everything in between. Italy was the subject of this visit, with topics including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Pagani, and Ducati all included. Pictures and videos were shared, along with personal experiences of our most exciting car and bike moments. We even watched some F1 and MotoGP races, breaking down the highlights and giggling like children over the antics of the drivers. Even if you dont live and breath automobiles, Isaac is incredibly easy to talk to, and interested in almost everything. Oh, and the haircut was the best one Ive ever had. Highly recommend.
