Stayed at a condo rental near the top floor. Amazing views and the unit was super nice. Literally a short 5-10 minute walk to Front street. Nice small bar and food options also next door. The best part is the location! Right next to the beach. Will come back again!!
If your definition of a resort is tons of amenities and activities provided by the hotel, then this isnt a resort. This is essentially a bare bones hotel that provides lovely views courtesy of mother nature and a safe clean space to rest your head. The room was on a higher floor facing the ocean and we had an amazing view. Wed often sit on the balcony and just watch the sun set. Having a full kitchen was great, but we didnt take much advantage of it. That said all dishware and utensils you could need to cook full meals were there and clean. Speaking of clean, when we got there the room was neat and tidy but after staying a week we were in desperate need of housekeeping. We were told given COVID they were only cleaning the rooms every 3-days with the day you check-in not counting as a day. I didnt find that out until day 3 came and no housekeeping arrived. On day 4 with with still no housekeeping at the end of the day I called and was told essentially they didnt get around to it because they were understaffed. While we understood a courtesy note about that would have been nice. Nothing is worse then coming back after a LONG day expecting a nice clean room and finding it untouched. On day 5 we FINALLY had a refresh and it was crazy overdue. As far as other things you may want to note there is no bell boy for bags, no checking out of fun beach gear and the front desk staff is nice enough but not the cheeriest you might be used to for this industry. They were always super casual which is fine but kinda odd when youre staying at a resort and not your friends room for the night. Parking is easy in an adjacent underground lot and Lahaina is 5-min to get to on foot. Its a very touristy town but has great shops and dining options. Be aware a lot closes relatively early so dont expect dinner past 11 PM. Overall, Lahaina Shores is a clean bare bones do it yourself hotel not a resort where youre paying for the view not the amenities.
My husband and I were island hopping and booked Lahaina Shores on a whim. It’s an older building, modest accommodations, but the location is excellent. Beautifully maintained landscape, beachfront, and within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. There’s also a small pool and, if I recall correctly, no resort fees! The staff were really friendly and our room was clean. If you’re staying in Maui and want to stay at a scenic beachfront hotel that’s also affordable, I’d recommend this place.
Good location. Older property, but has lots of history and its nicely remodeled.Terrible customer service. They were ready to throw us into the street for having our child with us, saying that our party had one more person than the room accommodated.
My husband and I stayed at this resort for 5 days and it was amazing! The resort location is perfect because it is right next to the beach, and you can walk to Front Street which includes a lot of restaurants and shopping outlet. We really loved our stay and the staff was nice. We will definitely stay here again.
Resort is a nice older resort looking building away from the crazy. Right off the beach and walking distance. We stayed in a private room but I think the hotel could still do things for the people staying at their resort such as towels etc. The room was fine no issues but we did use the laundry room to keep up with our lack of towels which I did contact the private owner about. That’s not why the 3/5. The 3 is for the roaches that are covering the laundry room. There are various sizes from full blown roach to babies. People leaving doors open to the washer and driers so they are crawling inside them so then washing and drying your clothes is pointless. Even if they die you still have roaches on your clothes. They are on the floor and my husband and I had to tag team getting clothes from one to another without dropping or touching anything. My only issue is that I am aware the issue in Hawaii as my family lived in Honolulu years ago but I’m not trying to take those back home with me. It would be vital for guests foe you to spray and make sure your on top of that. As far as I know they were not in our rooms. There is also not adequate lighting in the laundry room to help at all. But they are literally everywhere. So I would avoid the laundry room. Staff and everything else was great.
My wife and I stayed at this resort for 5 days and it was amazing! The resort is beautiful and right next to to beach. The location is perfect because it is located right at the beginning of Front Street. If you start walking north, youll see everything that Front Street has to offer which includes a lot of shops, restaurants, a supermarket, and a shopping outlet at the end. We really loved our stay and the staff made it so much better. Chester and Bill, who work at the front desk, were very kind and helped us out a lot during our stay. Julieth, who helps with room maintenance, was also great to talk to and helped suggest a lot of places for us to go and see in Lahaina.
WOW. Staying here was a dream!! The resort is quiet and peaceful, perfect for couples. The view from our room was stunning, it made it hard to leave each day to explore Maui. The pool is clean and a decent size and we enjoyed the hot tub! The staff here are all welcoming and friendly, they made us feel so comfortable. You can walk straight onto the beach and it’s a 3-5 min walk down the street to downtown Lahaina, one of our favorite parts of staying here. The perfect location!!
This is a modest older building away from the hustle and bustle of the groups of huge, sleek luxury resorts in other parts of West Maui. Very friendly front desk staff, very clean throughout the building, right on the ocean. We loved the quiet quality of staying here, enjoyed the kitchen for preparing some of our own meals, took advantage of the convenient coin laundry right on our floor. A comfortable and relaxing place to stay! Its a short walk to restaurants and shops.
Great location, easy beach access, nice pool with shade in the first part of the morning and close enough to Front street activities that you can walk to everything (0.3-0.8 miles from most places on Front Street). Next door there is a great beach cafe called Bettys that is a must for the views and breakfast menu.
I truly enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect 3 blocks from the marina and the downtown strip. Beautiful patio to sit out on and enjoy the ocean and the pool and hot tub. (The need to have beach chairs)But you can walk 2 blocks down and rent one pretty cheap. The room was wonderful the bar next door serves the best fish taco I have ever ate. Nice restaurants right next door to the hotel. My son enjoyed the water so much snorkeling, rafting, surfing, paddle boarding swimming all in the back yard.Surfing lessons right next door!
Great view. Room nice with full kitchen. Clean. Would have liked a bar or cafe but close to town to walk. Definitely would stay there again.
I love the location of this hotel/condo building. Its on the beach, next door to the shops/restaurants of 505 Front St, and just a short 5-10min walk to the banyan tree park and all the options of downtown Lahaina
Ocean view rooms are some of the best on the island. Great location for walking to shops, bars, & restaurants.
Beautiful place. Your back yard is literally the beach. Small town feel. Quite and relaxed neighborhood. Not filled with party people. The place to be if you want to relax.
This place is pretty amazing, it has Air Conditioning, is right on the beach, has laundry facilities, quick elevators, friendly front desk, decent pool, lawn with lounge chairs and outdoor showers.Yes, its RIGHT next door to the Feast at Lele luau, so you can walk to it, and if your didnt book a table, you can walk the beach and watch the performances.Very walkable to Lahina shops, and your can grab a bus ride to Whalers Village shops. Our unit had a full kitchen and all the beach accoutrements that make your day pleasant, including beach chairs, beach umbrella, and Coleman cooler. The one giant negative for me, is the rocky beach. You can walk out 150 yards and the water will still be up to your stomach, and there are rocks all around you. I caught a case of rock rash, when a wave took me.The cool aspect of this beach is the propensity to see a sea turtle or two, or the occasional sleeping monk seal.
Great place to live. Close to nearby restaurants, and ocean activity stores.
Really enjoyed the time in the hotel. Great hospitality
This place is great, very friendly staff. Ocean view is worth it! So close to the beach.
Nice location & view. Service is also good.
Our beach front room is amazing. Thank you to the individual owners who allowed us the honor of renting your condo for my wifes birthday and our 25th anniversary.Newly remodeled room, full kitchen. Amazing bed, shower relaxing. The view just wow. And just got down stairs and your right at the pool and hot tub, And a private entrance to the beach. Right next door there is Bettys beach Cafe with a private entrance, with your room key. Great daily specials. You can watch a Lua oua from the public beach. This is by far our best vacation. Thank you so much.
Lovely room with a great mountain view, cute little kitchen thats convenient for cooking our little breakfast. perfect location for walking to the fun downtown Lahaina
For the money this was a great deal. We came here in December during the pandemic, so prices are very competitive. Great location if you want to surf, one of the best spots in Lahaina is next door and they have storage. You can rent a board walk on the beach from the hotel and surf all day. Downtown is walking distance so if you want you can forget about the car. The beach front garden is also very pleasant, they have a small pool and hot tub.
Great room with a lovely view. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the resort.
Amazing experience, staff was very nice, the resort is in a prime location, and the beach is wonderful.
Open the back gate and you are on the beach, and the ocean is 10 feet away. Great family resort, warm and willing staff.
This is the best location, if you want to stay in Lahaina. We had an ocean view for three nights. They have a beach access from the hotel. We could see turtles and seals right in front of the hotel beach in the morning. Downtown is a 5 min walk. Luau is right next to the hotel. Parking was free and easy. Staff was responsive and fun to talk to. Room service was fast. Pools are clean. Jacuzzi is clean. Garden is clean to just lie down and relax. They have garden lounge chairs as well. You can snorkel right in front of the beach to see turtles and fishes. And can also see beautiful sunsets from the hotel room/beach. Cannot recommend it more.
Close to the beach and the main street, which makes it a convenient location
We stayed a week at our Westin Kaanapali North Timeshare. My wifes family was flying in the day we were leaving. She wanted to stay a few more days. So, I was able to book an extra 3 days here at Lahania Shores Beach Resort. I wasnt really expecting much coming from a Westin property, but what a nice older resort! Walking distance from the hustle and bustle of the famous Front Street. The beach is 50ft in the back of the resort!!! We didnt get the ocean view, but the mountain view was gorgeous too!!!
Great value booked with Hyatt points. I love the full kitchen and utensils/cookware provided, which makes it perfect for longer stays or if you just dont want to eat out. Internet/wifi is pretty consistent, for those looking to WFH. We had a mountain facing room, which probably isnt as nice as the ocean (and sunset) facing, but a decent view all the same. Feast at Lele is literally right next door for an easy dinner luau. The beach in the back is a little rocky, and the water is very very shallow in the area with a rocky shelf that goes on foreverrr. You probably wont be able to swim, just FYI but its nice and calm. AC can be a little weak sometimes.
Love this place. Been here multiple times. Beach out front is great for families with small kids and for relaxing.
The scenic mountain side and coastal views are beautiful. Very friendly staff and comfortable rooms. I really like the full kitchen.
Okay, let me start by saying some positives; 1. great location in Lahaina, 2. great room,Negs: No where on their website does it mention the ocean is only 2 feet deep all the way out to the reef, (32 football fields away) and the ocean floor is covered with rocks. You see all those kayakers going by thinking it is deep, when they are just barely skimming over the rocks themselves. It was the most uncomfortable beach for swimming I have ever experienced.Positives: The hotel room was awesome. The pool, while non-heated was great and so were the people and hot tub. A turtle swam by me.However, I want a hotel room with a swimmable ocean. This was not it. I will be looking elsewhere in the future. Just so you know. You are staying here get a car rental so you can drive to a swimmable ocean.
Great location and great staff and services
Beautiful location. 30s style resort with fresh water pool and many other share amenities. The beach water out from is rocky, but you dont need to walk far for sand. Been 3 times, and if everything lines up, we will be back.
Not a good spot if you want to go to the beach. What you are really paying for is the view which is beautiful but I would recommend a higher floor. The other super annoying thing is the restaurant next door does this performance that’s super loud and annoying and sunset. The hotel itself is dated and more of a condo vibe. The rooms themselves are nice but the mattress is basically a pull out type. I ended up ubering to nicer beaches and restaurants during the day and just watched the sunset at this hotel with a loud speaker to drown up the outside noise.
So many besutiful placrs on Island. My only criticism is how they have capsulized the sacred grounds of the ancestors of the Native Hawaiians
We love Lahaina Shores but wish they would enforce the mask rule on the property. They enforse it in the lobby but not on the grounds. Other than that we love it there.
Shark pit baby! Thats what Im talking about! Get in! Get some!
Fantastic location - easy to walk into town; great pool and beach area; friendly staff. Our condo (4th floor, center, facing ocean) was newly remodeled and worked perfectly for us. Parking was easy out front.
This place is great, far away from the crowded resorts. Very peaceful, I couldnt of asked for anything better. Our ocean front view is outstanding!
Stayed here for 4 nights. I had a mountain view room, with amazing views. The room was very comfortable and cozy, with full kitchen and a balcony. The best part was access to the private beach and its location. It takes just a 5 minutes walk from hotel to the Lahaina market.
Amazing location walking distance to Lahaina and beach for hotel guests is almost private.
In Lahaina on Front Street where you can walk to any of the nearby shops and restaurants within a 3 to 5 block radius! Along the way, there are a lot of historical places to see, so please take it EASY and RELAX, OK!🤙😷🏖🏄♂️
No Restaurant or Bar on Property!! Although right in town, so is the Rif-Raf!! Non of the amenities of the high end hotels but has aHighEnd Price!!
Think you so much flying back tonight think you college station texas very soon
We rented a condo from this resort through Airbnb. Our condo faces the ocean. You really can’t beat waking up to the sound of the ocean. The hot tub and pool close at 10pm. There is also laundry on every floor. I would stay here again! The staff were accommodating and friendly. There is no restaurant or bar though but that’s ok. It’s a 5 min walk into the town of Lahaina. Great location!
Excellent place to stay Aloha
Gorgeous, simply gorgeous. This efficiently run resort with its courteous staff run a tight ship. There is lots of aloha spirit here. Our kids rented a one bedroom, one bath on the fourth floor, facing the ocean. Nicely appointed, the kitchen has a pretty much everything that you need. The view is to die for. You are right on the beach and very close to shopping and restaurants. Great location. I cant enough about this wonderful resort. The beach is clean and wide enough for sunning yourself. Check it out. Aloha!
This is the perfect place to chill. The grounds are all private. The rooms are beautifully decorated with a well done kitchen, bathroom and plenty a space for all your belongings. The view is amazing and youll fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing, so relaxing. There is a bar, restaurants and an ABC store next door and its a 5 min walk to the heart of Lahaina where all the action is. Just perfect!
Great views!!!Ok decor.
Beautiful setting and prompt service whenever needed. Cost was within reason, especially considering the quality of the facility. Even the laundry room has a view! Easy access to the beach, pool, spa. And an easy walk to any part of old town Lahaina. Many are right next door, at the 505 Shops.
Absolutely fantastic stay Jan - Feb 2020. We had a beautiful mountain view room. Be warned, I was awoken by chicken every morning at about 4:30-5:00 AM. I used my natural chicken wake-up call as a signal to go downstairs to watch the sunrise on the beach.Lovely room, perfect views, immediately on the beach. If I won the lottery, Id buy a room here and move in permanently.
Great mix of what you want without paying for more than you need. Great pool and small hot tube, tables with umbrellas, and lots of lounging chairs on its grassy area. The beach is also incredibly close if you want to go through the gate. Small shower for feet to get sand off after too. Our room was nicely air conditioned and had a beautiful view from the 4th floor. Food and a small corner store is right beside the resort as well. Great access to the main drag in Lahaina and is an easy walk. Would definitely stay here again. Get used to hearing the Luau next door every night though. Better yet, go to it, we really enjoyed it.
Stayed here in late September for 4 nights. Nice and clean hotel. The room was cleaned daily and staff was pleasant.I wouldve given 4 stars but construction was taking place for 2 days during our stay and we were not informed prior to. Then to top it off Chester places us in a room right next to the construction area.Other than the banging and drilling the place was great.
Location is great if you like spending time at front street in lahaina. Also its right on the beach which is great but it gets a little rocky about 15 feet into the water. The room we had smelt like an old smoky/musty room but was decently modern and furnished. Also just a note that there are only a few premier rooms with king beds so dont expect one. If you can get an ocean front room it is worth it. The view is fantastic.
This is a great location in town. Shops and restaurants just a few steps away. Kitchen has all utensils and appliances needed for cooking. Nice room and beautiful view from balcony. Pool on property and beach right next to property. A very relaxing place to stay.
Quiet beach is plus
We stayed here for our honeymoon back in May 2019. We really liked the hotel and location, such a beautiful location. We liked how we could cook breakfast in our room and be gone for the day. There was a few downsides; The pool area was okay and the parking area was a little ghetto. Other than that all was well.
Great location within easy walking distance to old Town Lahaina. Shops and restaurants right next door, yet quiet and away from busy tourist areas. Full kitchen facilities a plus!
We stayed in an end unit privately owned condo that is leased out year round. It was great! Nicely appointed apt, great view, outdoor pool, quiet location, close--but not too close-- to restaurants, etc.
Spent a week here and loved everything about this place! The rooms were clean and modern, spacious bathroom and shower, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few meals. The pool, hot tub, and lawn area was beautiful. Very well kept and not too crowded like the mega resorts. There was always a lively buzz of people coming in and out (we were there during Christmas). Loved the easy access to the beach.
Great resort with beach access right next to the pool/hot tub. Housekeeping staff is extremely friendly. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Rooms have full fridge, stove, and dishwasher which is very nice. If you are on the non-ocean side, you dont really get much of view so it isnt all that nice to sit out on the patio. The ocean view is great, though!
This is our second year staying here. I absolutely love this place. Ocean view rooms that are clean and well furnished. A kitchen with all the tools and appliances you need. The staff is super friendly and keep the resort very clean. The beach is outstanding....feels almost private and the water is clear. I’ve seen more turtles and fish off the beach here than on guided snorkeling trips. I am already ready to book here again for next year!
Outstanding. Such great atmospheres.
Clean, spacious rooms. If you cant afford the beach view, you are instead treated to an amazing view of the mountains on the inner side of the island, it makes for amazing sunrise photos. Get a high room to avoid the street power cables and posts.
This property is the only stop I will stay at when visiting the Maui island.
This was not a 5 star place but it had everything we needed. The bed was too hard for me but everything else worked. I love that there were beach chairs, umbrellas and a cooler for us to use. I would book this room again, especially with a better mattress.
View is beautiful. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. These things keep me coming back.
Best location in Maui. Located on the historic front street but very quiet. Just one block away from all the shops, restaurants, harbor, and all the ocean activities. Private beach is also steps away from the lobby. Ample parking.
My husband and I loved staying here. It was quiet, with an older crowd, the maid service was great and everyone was friendly. We received a free bag at check and won another one from the concierge. The beach outside the hotel was fantastic to come back and relax on and had great snorkeling so we could go out and come right back to our room whenever we wanted. The room with a water view was beautiful. We ate breakfast and lunch on the deck whenever we were in the room. We will definitely be back!
The hotel is awesome. The front desk and concierge were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are super nice. The building may look old but everything inside is brand new. Parking is very tight if you have a large vehicle.
Best place to stay in Lahaina. Right on Front Street but its in a quiet area. With a short 5-7 minute walk youre right where all the action is. Rooms were spacious and had everything you need including a fully stocked kitchen. Best of all its literally three steps to the beach. Not sure whats its like during high season but when we were there the beach was empty. Cant beat the views. We had a mountain view room and waking up the that every morning was pretty spectacular. I would return here in a heartbeat.
Housekeeping service is good, place is clean, and close proximity to bars, restaurants, and shopping. Its day 5 of 7 on our vacation and thats where things went south. There is construction going on our floor, seemingly right next door to us. Loud drilling or other construction noise that has been going on all day has made it difficult to stay in the room at all and its pretty warm out today. We just want to rest and cant do that here. Maybe its just bad timing but, I will think twice before booking again.
This is a three star hotel. The location is really the best thing going for this hotel. It’s right on the beach and it’s close to shopping. There is no gym and the rooms are dated. Otherwise just ok.
Freaking fantastic! Awesome courteous service with an awesome room. We stayed at the ocean front premiere studio with a kitchenette and absolutely enjoyed our stay. We were actually a bit sad when we left yesterday. There is a pool and a hottie next to the beach and it was within walking distance of the local restaurants, bars and shops.
My husband and I are here for 10 days for our honeymoon and we love it. Right on the edge of Old Lahaina town so super convenient to walk to tons of bars, shops and restaurants. The view is amazing and I love that the beach is calm and doesnt get big waves because of the shore break. The room is clean and updated and the bed is firm which is great for my back.
Really comfortable. Right on the beach. I recommend opting for an ocean view room. Its also a comfortable walk to some very good restaurants.
Great place for a couple to stay, it was a good price and included free parking. The area is at the start of what one might call the tourist section, so it still has a good amount of local vibe. Theres a bar and good restaurants nearby and its a short walk to the start of the actual touristy shops. The room is clean, large enough for 2 people to be very comfortable and well soundproofed. You can open your sliding door and enjoy the ocean and hearing the luau next door. The oceanside view is unbeatable, the mountainside view is less so. The kitchen area gives enough room to cook and a full size fridge. The staff is very nice, but they do only have one person working as a concierge so you could wait an hour just to talk to him. There is a nice small pool and hot tub and chairs/umbrellas before you go out on the beach. The beach access is card protected (but then public as with all beaches in Maui).
We have been going to Lahaina Shores for 23 years. We were married in the courtyard under the palm trees. The staff, rooms and location is excellent. Right next door to the hotel there are great restaurants, bars, art galleries, a nightly Luau. The beach is nice and great for snorkeling. There is a coral reef a 100 yards out which acts as a break water that minimizes any waves, great for beginner snorkelers. With a lot of different and beautiful fish to see.
Our stay here was amazing. We were honeymooning and enjoyed everything about our rooms and experience. The staff was very helpful and helping us find local activities last minute. We had a Seaside room and it was an amazing experience to have the patio doors open and listen to the ocean. Only a couple of blocks from most of the attractions in Lahaina I would definitely recommend this place to anybody wanting a great stay.
I am so happy we chose this place for our stay on this side of the island. The service was excellent, the rooms were very well maintained and the pool and beach area were top. The beach is a nice sand beach and water is shallow with rocks (not all sand) outside the hotel, but there are of course other beaches nearby. There are a few restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores just within a few minutes walk, and then you are 10min walk to the centre of Front Street. Note there is no pool service or reataurant directly at the hotel.Would stay here again for sure!
Right on the beach. Great staff. Walking distance to everything. Room was modern and clean. Great having a kitchen. Would definitely go back.
Great location, on the beach with an incredible view. Located just on the outskirts of the town within easy walking distance yet far enough away to feel away from it all. The condo was nice with higher end cookware and knifes. It would have been nice if some basic cooking items like olive oil would have been provided.
