I took my mothers two wedding sets in to see what they could do with them. RIP OFF I got my ring resized there to be smaller!! The ring was to big for me! It was my Grandmas Ruby Ring,they made it so tiny it is about to break now! They did nothing when I talked to them about it! To have it reshanked would be 300 dollars!! I dont understand how a ring that is bigger would be made to be so small!!

The store had the biggest variety of the rose gold rings(more than 15 in stock!), while all other places offered 3-5 choices. Also lots of custom designs just for you and their own jeweler. The sales associate Tanya is very knowledgeable and very, very helpful! The choice of the jewelry is by far the biggest Ive seen in the area and the attention to customers is exceptional! Everything is solved on individual basis and if you have any special requests - for sure they will be considered! Vierks is a true gem within the Lafayette community.I consider myself a fairly intelligent person, but navigating the world of jewelry can be very intimidating. After two years of being with my girlfriend, I decided (rather, was told with the not-so-subtle hints of her waiving her left ring finger in my face) it was time to get engaged. You can look up all the online guides you want, but just like buying a car or house, buying an engagement ring requires trust. You dont want to buy a car from a dealership you dont trust and you dont want to buy a house from an agent you dont trust; certainly, you dont want to buy a ring from a jeweler you dont trust.Ive been to most of the stores in the Lafayette area, and Vierks is by far ahead of the game in establishing trust with their clients. Most of the big-name jewelry outlets I went to were beyond pushy. To carry on with the car metaphor, most jewelry stores are full of sales staff that feel like used car salesman; they want you to make a purchase as soon as you walk in the door, and they will likely push you in a direction that suits them rather than it suits you.This is not the case with Vierks. I would describe Vierks like walking into a fine boutique. The sales staff listens to you and guides you in the relevant direction. There is no push to a certain piece, or no rush to get you to make a purchase. The sales staff does a good job of reading what kind of person you are and respects and accommodates your personality. Being fairly shy, I appreciated that the sales staff let me feel comfortable looking at the various pieces I was interested in at my own pace. As well, once they got a sense of the type of ring I was looking for, they were able to pull out a wide array of rings that fit my price range and the style. The staff was able to clarify for me some of the terminology around diamonds and make me feel like I was making an informed choice.To my surprise, Vierks made buying my girlfriends engagement ring an easy process. They have 6-month interest free financing available (which everyone should take advantage of to build up credit) and you know that the money you are spending goes to help out the local economy. I honestly dont know why you would shop for jewelry anywhere else in Lafayette besides Vierks.

We were given updates about how things were going and got a render of what it looks like before they were made. My husband wanted to have our wedding and anniversary bands, as well as my engagement (purchased after we eloped) and mothers rings all reset in Platinum for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. Because we eloped, we just went to the mall and picked out some inexpensive rings at a department store, then felt like anything new had to match, so we were never truly happy with our low-quality, messed up when resized, damaged to the point I hadnt worn some in almost 10 years, yellow-gold jewelry. This project could have cost more than a new car, but Vierks worked hard to recreate our rings with our original stones, replace those in my mothers ring with authentic gemstones, and gave us a more than fair trade-in on the original yellow gold. We now have gorgeous rings to commemorate the last 20 years, of amazing quality and beauty to carry us through the next 20 at least. Thank you Vierks!

My fiancé and I have been working with Sally Davis from Vierks since we got engaged last June. We had been to some other jewelers in the area to look at engagement rings and wedding bands and were very overwhelmed and stressed. However, our experience at Vierks was fantastic! Sally has a very warm personality and is very knowledgeable. She worked so hard to find the perfect engagement ring and wedding bands for us while staying within our budget! We are so happy with our rings and so thankful to have gone through this process with her. I would definitely recommend!

I needed a more recent appraisal of my wedding band set and some jewelry for insurance, and the insurance agent recommended Vierks. The appraisal of my other jewelry was what I expected, but the appraisal of my wedding set was incredibly low (based on what I know was originally paid for them as well as well as the original appraisal of my engagement ring). I noticed that the description said 14k white gold, instead of 18k, so I went back, assuming that that might explain the discrepancy. Jeff Vierk quickly corrected in the description, but made no adjustment to the appraisal. When I tried to question it, I was cut off and dismissed.This appraisal bothered me for awhile, especially since I was looking at replacement value of my wedding rings, which are very sentimental to me given the early and untimely death of my husband. I finally decided to take my rings elsewhere, to just pay for another appraisal. I did not mention that Id already had the rings appraised recently, just asked for an insurance appraisal, and as I thought, Vierks appraisal was wildly low, a difference of $4,850. If you need an accurate appraisal, go elsewhere.

I love Vierks! They have so many interesting and unique items, and the entire staff is so friendly. Liz and Jeff are great to work with, but everyone in there is knowledgeable and amazing! They do contests, and give aways on their Facebook page, so be sure to check out their pics and specials! I dont shop anywhere else for jewelry, watches, coins, or gold and silver stuff. I cannot say enough good things about Vierks and Rachel when it comes to the process or picking and purchasing a ring. Rachel was so helpful and insightful to find the perfect design for my engagement ring and is currently helping us pick out the perfect wedding bands. This process can be stressful and overwhelming, and at other jewelers I never felt as relaxed and as happy as I did when working with Rachel to pick out my perfect ring. Even when I am sure I was giving her opposite ideas she was bubbly and perceptive. If I could do the process again 100 times, every time would be with Rachel and Vierks.

Small shop, big experience. Went in to shop for silver coins. The prices are much better than others places in town hands down. They educated us on some things we didnt know about silver, and we study silver. So that was great to learn new things. The salesman didnt try to push anything. Just set out trays and bowls of silver and a mat for us to use and walked away for us to sort and select our silver. We paid cash, got our receipt, was thanked and left. We will shop with them much more often. We felt very welcomed in the shop.

Love and trust them to do the work on my grandmothers, now my wedding, ring. they do the work there and dont send it miles away to a strange factory like almost everyone else. they re-tipped, cleaned, and sized it to perfection. I even went back a second time for a bent prong. fixed beautifully. they got nearly 30+ years of smoke and grime off.

Vierks has become my go to place anytime I consider any kind of jewelry. The staff there is always very nice, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. And, they do amazing custom work. My most recent visit, I went in there with about a half a dozen different questions, for literally 3 different needs and Julia was amazing, as always. She helped answer and take care of every one of my needs and has the sweetest personality. No pressure or sales pitches, they really are there to make sure they exceed the expectations of every client. They certainly continue to do so for me.
