I needed a gym closer to my home and saw VASA by chance. This is the largest, most complete gym that i have ever seen, and as a former hard core gym rat, i have seen a few in my day. The locker rooms are clean, various classes offered throughout the day and things for the novice all the way up to competitive power lifters. Plenty of disinfectant wipe stations throughout the facility. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The staff and the members are EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. I have been going almost daily, and while it is very busy, the members are very courteous and friendly. Asking a question is always answered with a smile from anyone Ive asked, including the members. The equipment is in top notch shape and things seem to get fixed as quickly as possible when things do break.

I love everything about VASA Lafayette, IN. The facility is large, clean, uncluttered, machines nicely placed and not on top of each other. The variety of workout machines is great, I have not had to wait to use a machine, but Ive used something nearby if needed. They offer a nice variety of group classes and you can make them as challenging or easy as you wish by your own effort - you get what you put into the class. The showers/locker room is also nice, lots of space, lots of lockers, lots of showers and toilets. The shower room is located right off the indoor pool/whirlpool/sauna and steam room. Additionally, I like the red light therapy booth and the hydro-massage beds included in my membership. There is a nice cross section of members here, from young to Silver Sneakers, you will always feel like you fit in. I am really getting a great value from my membership here, and the fees are really reasonable for the services offered.

This gym is nice and large. There’s plenty of room to do whatever you have in mind. Everyone is always cool and nice but also won’t interrupt your work out just to talk. It’s a good place!

Nice, but the gym is insanely busy between 4-9. You are not able to workout during this time frame. They need to be 24 hours, specially because there are other options that are opened 24 hours. I joined Vasa because it was the best regarding equipment, but is the worst regarding business hours and ability to working out because of the crowd.

I cancel my membership the last time I went in and they kept charging me... Im so glad I didnt give them my access to my bank account. They contacted me after this and try to say I never canceled... now they try to get more money out of me. Glad I used credit card. Hoping my credit card company can get them for fraud or something. After telling them probably 15 times that I cancel my membership in November they are still trying to charge me. Dont get a membership here unless you want to deal with this kind of thing

VASA is a great gym, very big and has pretty much anything you could ever need to work out. But if there is one kicker, they REALLY need to consider extending hours into the evening. The gym typically is insanely busy in the afternoon and evening, and finally when it calms down they close. They use to be open until midnight, that would be a fair improvement to go back to, let alone 24 hours even. Where is the logic in being open very early at 5am, but NOT being open later into the evening to compensate for how busy they get between 4 and 9? The facility is big enough and nice enough to justify later hours, as there are other smaller, lesser gyms here in Lafayette that are open late, even 24 hours. CONSIDER ADJUSTING YOU HOURS PLEASE

This is one of the two best gyms Ive ever seen in my entire life- youll certainly be able to exercise every part of your body. Body comes first- the membership is absolutely worth every penny. I was especially excited about the Red Light Therapy, tanning booth, sauna, and stream room. The employees are absolutely outstanding!! There are absolutely some VERY fit people in Indiana whom are serious about fitness. Theres a machine that gives you a BMI reading, body fat percentage and full health breakdown with a score. Highly recommended.

Needs towels for sweat and also after you get out of the pool otherwise this is the best gym I’ve ever been to.

The equipment is very nice, there is so much to choose from along with the sauna, pools, basketball courts tanning beds, and hydro massages. I love it here and I’m so glad I chose VASA as my gym. I also really appreciate the staff, they are very friendly and have a positive energy.

Great variety of equipment and classes. Nice area in front with astroturf to do free weight routines without crowds.

I really haven’t used the gym since I signed up last week but it’s really not about using gym equipment or what the gym has available for you to use. It’s about the atmosphere, it’s about putting the client first and that is what they certainly do best and with a type warm professionalism that you really don’t see in other fitness facilities. I am looking forward to my time spent in the gym and the great trainers to meet. A gym shouldn’t just be a gym, it should be a family where everyone supports each other to meet their goals and that is what I see VASA Fitness offers.

The amenities at VASA are amazing. I truly look forward to going to work out and the classes are so diverse! I actually am excited to wake up and go to a VASA class; there is no slacking on the high intensity of the classes. I am a very active person, twice a week I hike 12 miles with my dog, and I run about 6 miles every other day, so I’m impressed when I get winded in a class! They make sure that everyone is comfortable going at their own pace; the inclusion of this place is wonderful!

Really friendly and modern facility. Has literally anything you’d want from a gym! Very clean almost all the time, only thing is I like to smell bleach when I go into a gym shower. Not saying it is not clean because it definitely is but I like the reassurance of smelling the bleach!

As a walk-in first time customer, I was immediately greeted. The trainer who spoke with me gave me a tour, asked at every juncture if I had any questions, and was never pushy. The facilities and the trainer are the reasons I signed up.

Canceled my membership in October last year I full filled my personnel training contract and they auto renewed everything after I canceled now I’ve got to contact the Better Business Bureau to get a collection of my credit for things I didn’t even agree to pay for this company rampantly defrauds it’s members go to planet fitness at least they won’t try and rob you blind

Good gym, bad policy. Me and my children were turned around because I didn’t have “proof of legal guardianship”, but can’t explain what that is. I’m not about to carry my kids’ birth certificates around. Young black father and sons trying to bond and be proactive, but a white family ahead of us had no issue. I’m appalled. Do better.

Vasa fitness is a pretty awesome experience largely due to the fact that the customer service personnel are generally friendly. The services they provide are really second to none in the industry. The only real downside is the fact that it is not a 24 hour facility still 5 stars in my opinion.

I like the different areas like the front turf because of my workout anxiety. At night it’s very busy and over whelming. If you like more calm and less busy, during the day is better.

Soooo spacey, clean, with. A creative touch everywhere. The staff are so helful. I had a zumba class with Denaise .. realy enjoyed it

I like this place. More relaxed. Free weights. Staff arent too crazy about the masks and very friendly. The only complaint would be they need more weight benches to keep up with the crowd but thats partially due to virus fear (not many pair up) and a lot off ppl who go there, which is a testament to the atmosphere.

I’m a small guy and I’m working on getting big, there’s no judgment from anyone here and everyone is actually really cool when you talk to them. Very clean with many options for machines. Loved the whole experience so far.

Im at the gym right now and theres MAXIMUM 50-60 people here and a good 30+ of them are either no wearing, or taking off their mask after they enter the gym and then not wearing masks for the entire duration of their workout. Along side the 600+ confirmed cases in lafayette right now, the staff hasnt attempted to tell anyone to where their mask while walking around.

For 22 bucks a month, you get tan, red-light treatment, sauna, massage machine (massive) and every gym toy imaginable. And a cinema? What is this? Elysium?

I enjoy this gym. I left 4 starts only because I’m not a big fan of commercial gyms in general but it’s definitely the best gym in Lafayette right now and has everything you need. But do NOT go during busy hours if you plan on using a squat rack.

Very welcoming! No one staring at me, had that problem at other gyms, and a great atmosphere. They have a mini store where you can buy tshirts, water bottles, locks for lockers, and even preworkout. They only need your phone number for purchases because the staff will look you up and directly charge your account. Vasa has an app for scheduling classes and even has a barcode so check in is less than a second. The layout is easy to read and if you’re self conscious they have a turfed area in the corner and front so you can tuck yourself away when stretching or doing exercises that don’t require machines!

Great gym! Everyone is so nice! Definitely worth going.

I love this gym because it has absolutely everything youll need for some great training whether you want cardio, swimming, weight lifting. They have cable machines and free weights as well as basketball a movie theater for you to train while you watch a movie. The dumbbell selection goes up to 150lb dumbbells and they have Olympic plates if you want to train for competition as well. The have hydro massage chairs and light therapy for recovery and they have a tanning area as well. If you have kids and Noone to watch them while you train they even have kid care for you to use so you can have time to train.

Beautiful and relaxing place . I spent less than 3 hrs to give myself a ME time with exercise, sauna and hydro massage. It’s worth the money I paid for

Vasa is my happy place! The staff is all very friendly (as long as you wear your mask in the door) overall a great atmosphere! Theres something there for everyone! You can workout as hard as you want to or you can relax like its vacation lol they really have it ALL!

My favorite gym in Lafayette and I’ve been to almost all of them. Has everything you need when it comes to getting in a good workout. Plus a lot more. Great staff as well.

Great gym with even greater staff. Multiple type of equipment so little waiting time for the most part. Very clean and well maintained. Environment is motivating and friendly no matter what your goals are. Only thing keeping you from fitness success is not being there.

It is a great gym! I dont get there quite as often as I should because I live a good distance away, but I always enjoy coming to this facility.

Nice gym, but the last few times I’ve went they have been super busy. Even on a Sunday when you’d think they’d be dead, they were packed!Might want to think about opening up a Southside location somewhere off of Veterans Memorial Parkway.

The negligence of the staff to enforce the mask mandate is ridiculous. Every time I visit no matter the time of day or day of the week, theres at the very least 20+ people walking around unmasked and not disinfecting the equipment after theyve used it. Its extremely unprofessional and reflects negatively on the company.

Great Gym, love the Studio Red Classes. I absolutely love the atmosphere everyone is always so friendly from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. Erica and Jamie are by far the best coachs. Only down fall is the weight area always seems super busy but it may also be because of the time I go. Again I would recommend this gym to anyone. They know how to keep you motivated even if you just started their fitness journey.

Nice place and friendly staff.

Would not recommend this gym to anyone, especially for personal training. We thought per our contract that we were getting 3 months of personal training, billed in 6 biweekly payments but no one mentioned to us we needed to check a small box on the contract or we would continue to be charged indefinitely. We are paying for weeks of personal training that we never received and have to pay even more to get the service cancelled. These are not the business practices of a reputable company in my opinion.

Hands down best fitness facility in the area. Great people, great prices, huge variety of equipment and weights. Very clean and state of the art equipment. Provides pretty much every aspect of fitness whether it’s general fitness, or hardcore gym rat. Been here since they opened on day one and its still the highlight of my day to come here and workout and enjoy my time with the community. Never had a problem with any of the staff and they are friendly and knowledgable. 11/10 review. Keep it up VASA family, you’re doing GREAT!

My Wife and I love the facility and all the variation of equipment. The management and personnel are all very friendly and kindly great you coming and going from the gym. We are very happy with this gym!

Really nice place to go not kid driven and the guest could be more friendly that is for sure. For the most part i enjoyed it heat up that hot tub it wasnt very hot but for sure i will be back.

I wasnt thinking about give VASA a review until I moved out Lafayette and couldnt find a gym that is as good as VASA. The high ceilling creates a huge indoor space and the ventilation is very good, which I think is quite important during the pandemic. I never smelled anything weird and the equipment is always fresh and dry. The skylights on the ceiling also creates a pleasant atmosphere. that a lot of gyms dont have. The staff are very friendly. The monthly rate is very low (even with all the extra one time charges) and cancellation is very conventient, which only took me 5 minutes. I wish I could find another gym just like VASA Lafayette.

Great gym! The whole atmosphere gives motivation. Everyone becomes your gym family. I started coming shortly after it first opened. I was hesitant at first because i felt it was going to be crowded with many local gyms goers all in one one gym. It can look super busy in the parking lot, but Vasa is so nicely spread out and big that when u walk in you have so much room and plenty of machines still available. This was a relief.Staff is all friendly and glad they keep out the ones who want go train under the tables and that are not professionals,certified, etc.I love my VASA gym family! ❤

Comfortable setting and a huge variety of near perfect condition equipment to use, Ive worked out at almost every gym in my city and this place is my most frequent choice. Awesome rates for people just dipping a toe into the world of fitness and a second home for the physically inclined.

Needs a new GM. Terrible communication and has no regard to caring for his employees. but great facility to workout in as long as you dont have billing issues. To add to this, I was employed there and let go before my two weeks notice and when HR reached out they told me Brooks Tyler said in the system I quit without fulfilling my two weeks notice, not that I was let go. Unbelievable! He needs to be held accountable for his actions.

This gym has all the ideal equipment and environment that anyone wants. However the bill is what kills the entire deal. I was told that if you want to cancel your plan its $25, and when i went to cancel my plan it ended up costing me $99.48. I feel very lied to, this place makes enough money as it is, why do they feel the need to take so much from a person when they want to leave the plan?I even asked the employees when i was signing up how much it would really be to cancel, and they didnt explain that the $25 was for the first month of your plan at all.All i can say is if you are rich, and dont care about canceling for basically $100 than good for you.The piture below explains how the plan actually works.

I loved the tour. Taylor was very helpful and informative. We signed up for only $21.99 a month! We got 1 free workout with a trainer for signing up. Our trainers name was Michelle. What an awesome workout you gave us Michelle!!! Thank you! Today, I went with my sister and we worked out on our own. I loved it!! I love the gym!! Only thing I would ask you to change is the childcare cost for grandparents. I think grandparents should have a lower cost or be able to bring their grandkids for free. We do not have them 24/7, so the $15 would be a waste of money. Most grandparents would only be able to bring them maybe once or twice, if even that. Its a great price for parents tho!!

Its big place, new. But it’s so busy and you gotta wait for your turn to use any machine, dumbbell, or anything. The shower it has trash and shampoo bottles, that’s just nasty.

I love working out here when Im able. Its unfortunate that this particular location isnt 24 hours though.

Nice gym. Not truly 9.99 a month. They charge you 50 bucks after two months to lock in your rate. But for what you get, its still worth it.

This is a fairly good gym if you dont have any billing issues. Horrible place to work, and you cant do the same workouts as your spouse or friend or you get kicked out for training people the GM mistreats the workers and cant explain why people are being charged so much when theyre paying fees that do not exist.

Great and clean place, love the atmosphere!! Corporate has some issues in customer service though. The Lafayette location itself is great but maybe the higher ups can work out some kinks in the way they handle things.

Love this place, I go to Vasa frequently. Basketball, pool, childcare, movies. Great place to get some exercise. I gave 4 stars only because it needs to be open 24/7.
