As a long time team member of Human Movement, Ive had the ability to see the Community grow, both physically and emotionally. Ive had members tell me that their experiences in HM has helped them mold a new future for themselves. Through this growth, Ive seen my own life change. When it needs to be a part of your life, you have to be surrounded by other positive people who want to see you succeed. This is what makes Human Movement.

Human Movement is a second to none gym, you will not find another gym like this one. The founder and active coach is an incredible example of what every gym owner should aspire to. The immense amount of focus on the community is incredible, whatever your race, religion or creed- you will be welcomed with open arms and coached by very intelligent people that truly care about the improvement of others.

Lucas was great to work with! He is professional and educated. His passion for safe injury preventative fitness makes him stand apart. I went to see him after a knee injury during a hiit training class. He was detailed in the approach and gave me several ways to rehabilitate at home as well. I am now more knowledgeable in proper form and hopefully less prone to further injuries down the road. Highly recommend.

I love Human Movement. I tend to dive into things for a time, get really involved in it, then quit (within weeks). I have not felt that urge here and start month four in a couple of days...from day one when I wanted to punch all the peppy people cheering me on (because I was dying) to now when I look forward to being with that same community and need their supportive voices, Coach Woody is inspiring and supportive without being pushy. I truly hope and believe that I, and hopefully soon my husband, have found a group of people, both members and coaches, that will be in loud lives for years to come! The facility is comfortable and the people make it more of a home away from home. What more could you ask for from a gym, of all things?

Human Movement is a great place to get a workout in 5 days a week. The workouts are conveniently structured to allow for a good warm-up, a hearty well-rounded workout, and a cool-down type stretch session. The workouts are always different each day, and its a great balance for the entire body. The atmosphere is truly judgment-free, and all the members are very positive and encouraging. Coach Woody is second to none - very attentive to each members individual area of concern while being supportive and encouraging to everyone participating in the workout. There are always scaled options so you never have to feel forced to do anything your body may not be able to handle that day. Its a place where you know youre investing in your health to be better everyday, and that feels great!

I have always been a runner until I needed a knee replacement. I felt very broken. I received the knee but was told I should not run if I want my knee to last. I still felt broken.I was Introduced to Lucas Woody and Human Movement a year ago. I am now not only running again but also doing so much more!! Things I would not have ever imagined I could do at 56 years old and a knee replacement.I absolutely love Human Movement, Coach Woody and Coach Nolan. I have went from feeling broken to feeling strong, way better mobility, more flexible and very HAPPY!!! I feel like I have gotten my life back and still going strong!!#movebetterbebettereveryday💪🏻

Ive been a member at Human Movement for only about two months now and already seeing and feeling the impact. Love the community atmosphere and the variety of workouts, most of which I wouldnt do on my own but are just what I need in order to build a strong foundation from a fitness perspective. Lucas is a great coach, motivating each of us to stretch for our goals and motivating us along the way, while having fun at the same time. Doesnt get any better than that!

I started working with Lucas as a personal trainer back in the early, early spring of 2019, because I knew I had a tendency for over-use injuries in my knees when cycling. I was really happy with the results I was seeing - stronger on the bike and at work. After the crash, things were a little dicey at first - I didnt know what I could do, but between Lucass knowledge of the human body and ability to modify workouts based on what was going on in my spine, I was quick to start trusting my strength again. The Better Everyday Classes have been a great segue from person training into the off-season. The people in the classes are diverse - just everyday folks wanting something different. Its cool to be with people with that kind of focus (just to do or be something better), and to see them improving day-by-day. What Ive really appreciated is that we are all working hard towards our own goals, but we are doing it together in ways that are supportive of one another. Its really motivating to see my friends killing it - and so I think, Well, I can do that, too. I guess, we empower each other.Even in the early days of rehabbing from my injury, when I was back on my bike and surprised with that progress, I did not think I would be back to doing even half of what I had done prior to my injury... any of this stuff. But, a year and half, Ive competed in multiple ultra-endurance cycling races, back squat at 120 lbs for back squats and 175 lbs for deadlifts - not too bad for a cyclist with noodle arms and some funky bones. Ill give credit where its due - Lucas & Human Movement Performance and Prehabilitation.

Lucas came to Purdue to talk to us about his business. It was really powerful to me to see how he is not willing to compromise on his morals. I’ll never forget how he taught us that even if you make less money, it’s not worth compromising on empathy, connection, and treating clients like family. I’d love to actually visit some day!

There are several things that I like about Human Movement. I like that I have made friends that I otherwise may not have ever met, I like that you can always get a great workout(even if you have an injury, Lucas Woody seems to be a master at working around an injured body part vs taking time off), I like how you have people from 16-60? And you are paired with different people all of the time, adding to the challenge of your workout, and you adding to there’s. I could go on for days, but honestly the only way to really get a feel for it is to come in and experience it for yourself.....I look forward to meeting you 😊

I cant say enough good things about Human Movement. Ive done both personal programming for upcoming races, and the Better Everyday Program with them. The Better Everyday Program in particular is one (of the many) things that sets this facility apart from your regular gym. Each day has a different workout that a knowledgeable coach has set up so it makes sense! Some days youll be lifting weights, some days its cardio, some days its a recovery day, where you work on mobility (aka stretching, in a more WAY more effective way). Through the scheduling process you may find yourself working in a full class of 8 or some days on your own with the coach (and anything inbetween). But the community is honestly the biggest thing that sets HM apart from anything else Ive been around. You never feel like youre being left behind in a group setting if the workout isnt your strong suit. Its an incredibly supportive community (both inside and outside of the facility) that celebrates eachothers achievements and cheers one another on when you need it the most. Its kind of like a workout family.

In November of 2017 I injured my leg. It felt like my sciatica was pinched. I thought it would work itself out by doing a few extra stretches and cutting back on some of my workouts. After all most six months of enduring the pain and discomfort I met with Lucas. After five sessions (1 per week) and daily homework: stretching and mobility exercises, I am pain free! I first considered seeing an orthopedic doctor but after talking with Lucas and discussing treatment, I took the Human Movement path. Thank you Lucas!

I am a 44 year old physician with long work hours and young kids at home. I always tried to exercise, but it was difficult to motivate myself lately since I saw little results. I joked that I was “built for comfort, not for speed”.My colleague, who is a tri-athlete (thus a masochist) introduced me to Lucas in February of 2017. Now three times a week, rain or shine, I am at Lucas’s gym. It’s like Forrest Gump said, “a box of chocolates”. Deadlifts, high box jumps, burpees, medicine ball throwing, sled pushing, rowing -- all for my enjoyment in different exciting combinations. By exciting I mean bent over gasping for air, drenched in sweat, and happy.I am happy because I feel stronger and more vital than I did in years. I am doing physical things I could not do in my 20’s! I have more energy, my mental focus is sharper, I feel more alive.
