Worst experience ever! The staff was less than helpful when it came to trying to rent. They made me jump through hoops for a rental and one worker suggested I go get my license address changed just to get a rental. Ive never had this issue with other Enterprise companies. The guy that was assisting us was new and should have at least been accompanied by a more experienced worker to walk him through the process. There was an issue with my credit card and he said that I could swipe it twice before getting locked out of the system for 24 hours. But of course when I go to swipe it a second time, the system locked out my card and we were unable to rent. He was completely clueless until he went to ask another worker but by that time it was too late. Then he had the nerve to tell me that I should check my account or call my bank to make sure that I had sufficient funds in my account. I would not be there attempting to rent a vehicle if I didnt have the funds. Overall, terrible experience and a waste of 3 hours all to walk away with no rental. Would not recommend anyone rent from this particular location!!!

I was very pleasantly surprised at the service I received at Enterprise on west Pinhook Road!!!!! Everyone there was over the top professional! I had a challenging situation with my personal vehicle in and out of the shop for a month and the professionals at enterprise Rent-A-Car made my life less stressful with being able to rent a vehicle from them.They were always so pleasant and understanding and going out of their way to help me during this stressful time. They were always so courteous on the phone if I had a question, also if I went to the Enterprise office itself, I enjoyed so much meeting all of the people who were making my life a lot easier. And that was David Kives, Carissa, Victoria and the rest of the gang up there. By the time I was able to receive my personal vehicle back again I felt like I had become part of their family. I do know they take pride in everything they do and it is a very stressful job having to deal with the public and when I was in that office I saw nothing but total professionalism from everyone of those employees. I will rent and continue to rent vehicles from this location because of the relationship I have created with these people and because of the way they took care of me when I was unsure about a lot of things. All they kept saying was don’t worry we’ve got you! I was actually able to go on my vacation because of them. If you need to rent a vehicle I suggest that you go to this location and meet these wonderful people. In this day and age where service is few and far between this team has managed to not allow that to happen where they are.Kudos to you all!! Keep doing what you are doing!!!!! I usually only get car rentals from Enterprise and don’t have any issues, but come on now! These workers need to clean a lot better. It doesn’t look like it was wiped down at all. Dust and dry dirt ALL around the inside of the vehicle. This is so unsanitary and I should be able to rent a CLEAN rental not a dirty one!!!!

I loved dealing with this location!! As a young driver, They worked with me and I was able to get my car with an FREE upgrade! Due to unseen events I had to keep my rental later than my turn in date. They were very understanding!! Pick up and drop off was easy and fast. I paid with a debit card and it went smoothly. Definitely will be rent from them again!!

Enterprise Rent-a-car as a company has horrible customer services.If youre renting a vehicle from them and you have an out of state DL the company will charge all sorts of money! And......will make you pay from a Credit card, no debit.There was no pre-warning when I booked my reservation . I checked in, did a 360 inspection.. only to get turned away because my Credit Cards were both declined from not being able to furnished the 900+ dollars! But it was on my debit/

Enterprise in Lafayette was low on vehicles the day I was scheduled to pick mine up. They offered to upgraded me right away without me having to ask. I was very grateful. All employees I encountered with my rental were first class. I will definitely do business with Enterprise again.Jon

3/29/2021 The response below was as far as Enterprise took my complaint, all show! I made my original complaint two weeks ago. I have received and answered the exact same email from different employees but no further contact has been made by Enterprise. I’m getting the proverbial “sweep under the rug”. Don’t go to Enterprise. If you have an issues they will only delay delay delay. They are a waste of time money and humanity. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS!!!!Two weeks ago) The only reason they got one star is because you have to give them something in order to warn people. I recently had a verbal altercation with the manager at the Pinhook location, David Kives. He didn’t like the fact I was right in our verbal altercation so not a week after I renewed my rental he filed papers to make it look like I was trying to steal a truck I rented. I receive a paper in the mail stating the be I’ve ignored attempts to be contacted but, they use their personal cell phones to make calls. You never know when you have a call from Enterprise. With “Enterprise” on your caller ID. And strangely after David Kives has emailed multiple times Mr.Kives lost the ability to email me to make me aware he was filing papers to force me to return the rental before my vehicle gets fixed by my mechanic. Where has professionalism gone?

The rental runs pretty good so far. Its a v6 dodge van, although the transmission slips and feels like it could use a ball joint in the front end. Plenty of storage space in the rear, great for hauling a ladder and contractor equipment.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! one star is being generous. I dropped my car off at the dealership for service and made a reservation for a rental car, did the express pass they offer and everything. all it says is bring your drivers license information on the email. with being affected by hurricane laura and delta getting a physical copy of my drivers license has not been an easy task due to dmv closures in my area. i use LA wallet since you can provide that to a cop if your pulled over and since it is your drivers license just digital, but evidentially you can’t give that to a rental car place. they were extremely rude and kept looking at me like i was crazy while trying to make accommodations. when i asked questions about other options they were rude and you could tell they just didn’t want to deal with me. my experience here has been horrible and the staff was extremely unprofessional and i will not be renting from them again. i never had a problem at previous locations until this one. very disappointed!

My car was in a wreck. Insurance company had car for me at enterprise. Called them and the person said to be there around 2:00. Had a client and had to find a ride there. Arrived at 2:45 and was told my car was givin to someone else . They had only a full size ram1500 5.7 litre hemi so I took that. Problem is I hurt my back and shoulder and elbow in the wreck and you have to climb and pull your in the truck. Anyway show up EARLY OR EXACTLY on time or your car may be goneasier or have to get bottom barrel.

First time renting from the location and won’t be my last. Trace(I hope I’m spelling his name correctly) was a pleasure to work with. He made the process seamless and explained everything thoroughly and was eager to get me in and out without any issues. Upon return of the car, again the process was very easy, in and out and the gentlemen(I didn’t get his name)did an inspection of the car before I left and I’m thankful he did, because silly me left a bag in the trunk. The experience was a good one and for that alone I’ll be using this enterprise location again for my car rental needs. Thanks Guys!

Awesome smile to get you in the door then shuffle between 10 different people just to talk to the same person who remembers nothing you told them from the beginning. Save the headache and go somewhere local for $10 more per day.

I made a reservation for a rental vehicle and they were having trouble filling the current orders. I was able to wait a few days and asked them if that would help and they said yes and they promised to have something ready. When I arrived A few days later they could not locate my reservation. They gave me a run down vehicle they found in the back of the lot. And refused to assist me with getting a more suitable option.

Very nice but if you dont have a major credit card you have to bring two forms to verify your address. One can be your insurance and one can be a current utility bill in your name and matching address to your drivers license. It can not be past due either. Payment history has to reflect that you pay on time. It can also be two utility bills, like an electric and a water. They have to be in the renters name and match address on drivers license as well. You must have these documents for all drivers that will be driving the vehicle, unless the added driver is your spouse then they are covered automatically. There is a $250.00 deposit ( in addition to the car rental amount ) out of your bank via your debit card, and returned about a day after you return car in good condition and on time. Dont go at the last minute because there is usually a little line of people returning and renting plus you have to do the paperwork, which includes giving 3 references with phone numbers, and they call your insurance company right then and verify your coverage. You return the car with the same amount of gas it had when you picked it up, or they put and charge out of that deposit, and the gas is more expensive than what you pay at the gas station. Like maybe a dollar or so more per gallon, not real sure on that part, definitely double check on that. I always return it where it was or a little more to avoid any other charges. Always check your receipt before you leave, once I was being charged for two days and only used one, and inspect and take pictures if damages before you leave in the vehicle, once they tried to say a crack in the windshield happened while in my possession and luckily I had pictures from before leaving the lot. Pretty nice cars too, all under 30,000 miles, and they gave me a free upgrade of a Dodge Charger once and that was a fun trip in a bad ass car! Have fun and drive safe.

Ive had to use Enterprise on a number of occasions and every single time theyve been unprofessional and incompetent. During the great flood of 2016, they didnt have nearly enough vehicles to go around yet they kept accepting reservations and had people waiting for days or weeks before a vehicle became available. Even if you had a reservation - the vehicle would not be ready. The professional thing to do would be honest and say we dont have any vehicles available, wish you the best of luck, instead of wasting everyones time and resources. As an attempt to remedy we were offered a 10% off coupon for our next rental. I used that coupon today... Im pretty sure the full 10% was not applied to my bill. Then, as they were processing my card they charged an extra $250 making my card decline! I had to do the math for the man to make sure I wasnt overcharged again! He then acted remorseful and upgraded me to be a better vehicle, the vehicle was preselected before I even arrived so he lied and screwed up again. Then he wanted to get away without doing the walk around of the vehicle... I told him, I know we are supposed to do a walk around together - this has always been their procedure. So we did the walk around I wasnt going to accept and sign my name that there are no marks on the vehicle without seeing it for myself! Finally, I placed my reservation on Tuesday and picked up on Saturday. Three different people called me during that short period of time to confirm my reservation. I told them I confirmed my reservation 3 times and get this - every time someone new called THE PRICE WAS DIFFERENT! The truth was they wanted to make sure I still needed it because if not they wanted to rent the vehicle to someone else. One of the times they called was less than an hour from when I was supposed to pick up the vehicle! Theres a photo inside saying they treat customers like family - Id hate to see how they treat family.

CLICK!!!!We have used Enterprise whenever needing our personal vehicle repaired or if we need a larger car to go out of town. Usually, we received very good service. I called the local store on W. Pinhook in Lafayette this morning because I needed a large SUV, and the national call center sometimes agrees to reserve a vehicle that is not actually at the local stores. In fact, when I mentioned this as the reason I was NOT using the national call center, the gentleman taking my call this morning agreed that the national folks sometimes use whats call aggressive scheduling and it makes it hard when we have to explain to customers that we do not have the type of car they intended to rent. This person was at first very helpful, and had to place me on hold for just a minute. I placed my phone on speaker and continued to work on a project at my desk. I waited and waited - listening to the loop of the recorded Enterprise message of how important their customers are - and when I looked dow at my phone, I realized that 15 minutes had past! I thought as soon as I finished my project, I was going to drive to that location with my cell phone in hand, and they would likely STILL have me on hold. The project took longer than I thought and I kept working away. FORTY-SEVEN MINUTES into the call, an female Enterprise employee finally picked up and said in a nice voice, Im sorry for having you on hold, how may I help you. This was a different employee as the first person on the phone was a man. I thanked her for picking up and told her that I had been on hold for 47 minutes - and then CLICK...she hung up on me!!!!!!! Unbelievable! I hope this person realized the power of the Internet review section; and now realizes that even though a customer is not going to wait nearly another hour to speak with her manager, anyone treated especially badly (or well) can simply tick away and let others know the type of service offered at W. Pinhook. This is truly MISERABLE service. If youre looking for a responsive rental agency ... keep looking past Enterprise.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car on Pinhook Rd in Lafayette, LA is awesome !! I have dealt with Enterprise, at many different locations, for over 5 years. This location ROCKS !!!BUT.................................My only reason for not giving five stars is......the vehicles. Something changed at Enterprise, overall. 2-3 years ago when I rented a vehicle, it was normal to get a vehicle that was very clean and with 100-8000 miles on it. Which I consider low mileage. Some were brand new !!I had went a period of about 2 years(2015-2017) not renting anything at Enterprise. I had no need during those years for a rental.Earlier this year, 2017, I rented a vehicle 4-5 different occasions. Something changed....... drastically !! Several of the vehicles I rented had MUCH MUCH higher miles. Anywhere from 21,000-38,000 miles !!!! This is very very high miles for a rental vehicle. Do you have any idea how many different drivers those vehicles had ?!!? Hundreds and hundreds. Several of the vehicles were very nasty inside. Very stained seats and carpets and bad odors.Alot of people may not realize, but, a rental car with 25000-35000 miles on it is equal to a one owner vehicle with 190,000 miles on that was not taken car of.Just my 2 cents

I am a decades-long user of Enterprise almost exclusively for the reason that they have never, ever disappointed me in anyway, anywhere, at anytime. I use them often. As an example, I was caught in a flash flood and stalled recently. I called the Enterprise office where I had rented the car (Pinhook - Lafayette, Louisiana). After making certain that I was safe, they told me to hang tight. I did and soon a wrecker appeared and towed me to my destination in the city in which I was stranded. Then a second wrecker appeared with a new car for me and to take the stalled vehicle away. I never lost a moment of time and the business of the day went smoothly. Very, very impressive. I cannot recommend Enterprise on Pinhook strongly enough for being competent and cheerful.They are a pleasure.

They often call and check on me during the week to make sure that everything is ok with my trip. They make the rental process easy and always have the car that I reserved.

Very slow. I reserved a car and a pickup for 11:30AM. The pickup location was about 5-7 minutes away. I wasnt picked up until after 12. Once I arrived the contract signing was quick but I then waited another 20+ minutes just to get the car.Good thing I didnt try to fit all of this in my lunch hour.

I have been renting cars from Enterprise for 30days at a time. for the last 8 months . they normally rent the car for $675.00 per month . then a huge flood sweeps our area and I try and extend my rental for another month and they wanted to gouge me for a whopping $1200.00 dollars that month . I ended up renting from budget rental for $661.00 the same month that enterprise wanted to charge me that inflated 1200.00 dollars. This month I went to rent a Car from Enterprise again . The price was a whopping $879.00 . I rented another car this month for $697.00 from someone else . I am a platinum plus member with over 3000 points . There seems to be no loyalty to faithful customers at Enterprise Rental company

We were in an accident and needed a rental. I was told that a car would not be available until 5:30.. 30 MINUTES BEFORE THEY CLOSED. They told my husband he could pick up the car. When he gets there, he is told I have to be there. We now cannot rent a car until tomorrow morning. Very unprofessional.

Horrible Experience. So horrible. I recommend no one rent from them. It was raining that day. The person who issued the vehicle did not check the roof of the car. When I returned the vehicle, they blamed me for the damages on the roof. They took my deposit and tried to charge me for the damages for something they did not check;. I am giving 3 stars only because the agent gave me a discount when I returned the vehicle. Upon arrival, I had to wait. After waiting about 20 minutes, I was helped and my payment was taken. The female agent told me it would be a couple of minutes to get the vehicle ready. I waited for almost an hour and when I asked how much longer was told there was no vehicle for me to take. When I asked the ahem why she didn’t say that, she back tracked and said she did tell me there was no vehicle when in fact she hadn’t. With 15 minutes left before they closed, I was offered a very small vehicle and told them that would not work. Then I was offered a small SUV with a cracked windshield that was not clean. Being that we were leaving the next day, I accepted it under the basis of a two day refund. The customer service (by some agents) at this location is horrible and unprofessional.

Rented a small car for 5 days. Quite expensive, then come the insurance.As I arrived they gave me a SUV saying it is an update for the same price but I dont like big cars and have no use of it. THey said it is the only one they have. Then the front tire had not enough pressure so I had to come back later. The interior was dirty and ALL the windows. At night it was almost impossible to see thru them.A few weeks before ( other location) same thing but we waited 30+minutes. They didnt had the car. They drove us to another location and gave us a bigger car! (= more gas). Never offer compensation for the time or the change they made in or reservation

I just called (literally 5 mins ago) to set up a rental and the phone was answered by Dex. I asked if there were any vehicles available, he said no. I asked if he knew when they would have vehicles available, he said we dont have anything available at the time. I told him I understood that but wanted to know if he knew when they would have any vehicles available, he said no. No effort to help or check around or anything outside of NO. Used this location before. Was able to rent, and pay with a credit card under a different name. This time said the card had to be only in the name of the person renting it and driving it. Why should that matter? You are getting the car paid for. was also off putting about the entire thing. The person who the card belonged to was there. The insurance is also under that persons name as well (my name is also on the insurance). It was my father paying for it, but I had to drive it for work. How does this work? I mean, what if its a husband with the card but the wife needing to drive it? Very inconvenient, and not very custom friendly.

Our car was wrecked, we had a rental through insurance on reservation. Upon arriving, I was not allowed to take the rental because the claim was under my wifes name. That left us a day without a vehicle. My wife returns the next morning to pick up the vehicle, we were supposed to be receiving an intermediate sedan, they gave my wife a Mini-van. They have her return the minivan to receive a car, they give her an SUV. The management is incompetent, and unable to commit to an agreement, or work with people in crisis. Not willing to do business with establishment again.

I would never inconvenience someone by making them stay late at work. Ive been super stressed evacuating with Hurricane Harvey and this lady who acted as manager basically wouldnt help me because it was too close to closing time. I would have still been done by her closing time. What manager acts like this?! I work in customer service and I always put my customers and their situations first! Terrible experience!

Terrible customer service at this location with the short guy, with black hair that assisted me. I needed to swap vehicles because a giant rock hit the windshield, directly in the line of view. I called Thursday morning, they said they would have one ready Friday at 10am. I get there at 10:30, to give them enough time. He told me I would have to come back in the afternoon, very bluntly. I said ok, but why wouldnt someone call to tell me this, his response was that he wasnt working yesterday and they just dont have anything ready. I understand that, but he was just really inconsiderate and had an attitude. They appeared to be not busy at all. The service on the phone was also not great. Michael at the Hammond location was great to work with. My engine locked up on Saturday on the way out of town. Perfect customer servicee....I had to use them again a few days later... a lot better service. Different person, but pleased with the service.

We tried calling to confirm our reservation would be ready for 12 noon on Friday, 9/23.We were told it would be, and asked if there was anything else we needed to rent the car and we were assured that all we needed was to show up. We came ready to rent and needed an extra 250 deposit, a check stub, and possibly pay $25 extra a day for their insurance and possibly receive a free upgrade. Well the car we initially thought we were going to rent was in new Iberia, which made me furious, and I lost my temper on the manager/desk clerk. And was told I couldnt rent from this company. So I talked to a different manager and she said I could rent if I calmed down. I felt this place has alot to learn about professionalism, even with an irate customer you should still keep yourself contained. I left without any rental and will continue to deal with Enterprise, just not this location. Im a lifetime customer and will keep my business in Jennings,La where I never had any issues.

When I went to pick up the car service was HORRIBLE they dont greet anyone the line was long with only two workers. I got my rental he made me take a seat telling me he was going to grab a few returns in order to get the line down, I said sure I understand BUT instead he started working on other rentals which is a longer process, he did two other customers which had me waiting over 45 mins which all he had to do was walk around car and give me keys. In till I made a seen and said loudly how unprofessional this was he didnt even acknowledge me 😠 Once I got the car it was nearly on empty so he said for me not to worry about putting has back. He did upgrade me for waiting but all in all this was the worst experience EVER. My return went way smoother lady was nice took a day off my rental BUT when lady called to ask how my experience went I called back no one even answered the ph on top of that they forwarded my call to survey so I have them a 1 Customer service at this location is horrible. Johnston location much better I will never rent from pinhoom again and I dont recommend anyone else too.

Spencer use to be so helpful and always have my stuff ready when I came in. Now they never get my points on my account, always ask for my insurance (its on file) and I have had the worst cars. I miss the old manager 😭

This Enterprise location is really the one that takes care of the Lafayette, Airport Enterprise. If you are booking a rental at Lafayette airport they will pick you up.

Phone was ringing for about 10 minutes before anyone answered..... The wait for help was horrible..... One staff member walked past the phone and said she doesnt answer phones. Oh not to mention after waiting 30 minutes they tell me they dont have any cars available EVEN THOUGH I HAD A RESERVATION #. SO I WAS STUCK WITHOUT A CAR FOR A FEW DAYS.
