Subaru dealer said I needed brakes all around for $1000. Took the CrossTrek to Daves and they told me no way, I had plenty of space left on the pads. They diagnosed my bumping as a bad belt on a front tire. That kind of honesty will earn repeat customers. I brought back my Accord for an AC charge, which they did for the right price, no attempts at upsales or replacement parts. I have suggested people use Daves before and I will keep recommending them.

Fast and efficient it took like 20 mins for them to do a patch I was on my lunch break also the tire pressure light was gone whenever I got back into my truck. Check these guys out you won’t be disappointed!

I come from a family of mechanics and worked at a dealership for years myself and Dave’s is definitely the best service shop I’ve ever been to. They’re so genuine and honest and it makes for loyal customers. I’ve had nothing but an amazing experience every time. The staff is so friendly, they know me and my mother whenever we bring the car over. They’re efficient, careful, and always keep you in the loop. They’re also great to chat with. It is easy and fast to make an appointment and the cost is very affordable especially when you consider how excellent they are. Owner is always there working alongside his employees which is awesome for everyone. I’ve worked at/been to shops where the owner is never present yet the owner rules the place with an iron fist so the owner never really knows his/her employees and what their concerns and goals are. This does not appear to be the case at Dave’s. Highly recommend.

Great customer service, if a bit pricey. They will deliver your car when its finished, which I find worth it. Would like a little more Covid etiquette but, I have many people in my life who are at risk.

Brought my car in a couple times over the years. Used to recommend them. Wasnt dissatisfied until the last time. Had my girlfriend drop off the car and was quoted $1500 at least for a timing belt change and $330 to change 6 spark plugs. Called 3 different shops, all quoted under a grand for the belt. Dont appreciate the attempted rip off, not a good way to keep customers.

I was passing through Lafayette when my power searing went out they took a look at it at 1 and had it fixed and ready at 3 with no appointment I highly recommend them.

I came here for about 2 years until I bought a new car. Every time that I went here for service, my repairs were done in a timely fashion & appreciate the occasional rides to and from my dormitory at UL. However, the final time that I bought my car in 2016 for a battery light issue---I ended up spending almost $1000 in repairs---for a battery issue and the problem still was not fixed. Mr. Charlie was always nice and the customer service is great.

So, my daughter is 150 miles away in Lafayette with car trouble. I was hesitant but told her to find a mechanic to diagnose the problem. Charlie (owner) explained to her the problem then took the time to speak with me on the phone about the issues. He explained what was urgent vs what could wait to get repaired. He itemized the cost and went well beyond what I expected. Most importantly, I trusted that he would take care of my daughters car. I can’t tell you how thankful I am she picked this shop. Charlie and Dave’s Car Care Center have my business as long as I have family in Lafayette.

Good prices but most importantly the owner is very professional. I faced a small issue with them but owner took care of it in a very professional way. He gained much respect.They usually fix the car in the same day.Also, after dropping my car, a mechanic took me back to my place which was much appreciated.

We had a very positive experience at Daves Car Care Center in Lafayette. We were driving from Florida to Texas when our cars brakes started making a loud grinding noise. We managed to make it to Daves repair shop the next morning. They quickly identified and fixed the problem -- the drivers side brake liner was gone and the caliper was stuck and grinding against the rotor. Their work was highly professional and thorough and the charge reasonable. Thanks guys!

I came here while on a trip out of town because I was told by a Take 5 Oil change that I had a major oil leak. I simply wanted to know if my car would make it back to Baton Rouge without breaking down and the friendly mechanic checked out my car, spotted the oil leak and also spotted a leak in my power steering. The mechanic told me my car would survive driving back to Baton Rouge. The mechanic then topped me off on oil. This was all done under 10 minutes free of charge. Very friendly and helpful people and I made it back fine.

Had a worst experience with my vehicle. Price gouging is very normal at this place and be aware of the work being done on your vehicle. I had to take my van to this place for 3 times and every time they prepared the invoice for same issue and finally when i confronted about what was being done they did not like it. Then i had it checked by another shop and sure enough the work was not done according to what Daves auto claimed they did on my vehicle. I would be careful.

Bad service for repairing and finding the problem with your vehicle but good people as far as customer service. I went in for one issue end up with more problems thats are still not fixed. I cant recommend this company to anybody avoid at all costs.

I had an issue with the pricing and diagnosis of fixing my nisssan 350z but when talked to the owner he was professional and solved it with the upmost respect! I recommend this place to anyone that has issues!! Very hard to find a place you can trust and not have to worry about them giving you a hard time!!! Glad to keep using them!!!Okay so after having issues with vehicle I went in to pick up my car where I thought they weren’t going to do a job that was going to cost me around 1000 dollars, due to them not letting me know that it could cost this much!! The owner Charlie took it into his own hands ordered the part and replaced it by driving to Baton Rouge honestly yo pick it up! They didn’t even charge me for parts or labor just because they never let me know how much it was going to cost! If this isn’t the most honest place of business in Lafayette!!! Wow!!! Quick, reliable and affordable.

While traveling from Va to Houston we had a water pump failure and broke down on the Atchafalaya causeway. Had to get towed for repair and chose Daves based on reviews here. Charlie, Matthew and mechanic Jake couldnt have been nicer. We arrived after closing and dropped our truck off. Found a hotel quite close by for the night. Jake started repairing the truck at 0630, 30 min before normal opening. They diagnosed the problem, completed the repair and had us on the road by 1030. The cost was extremely reasonable, the service outstanding. A less reputable shop could have taken great advantage of us in these circumstances and these guys were fantastic. Thanks Charlie!

They dont nickel and dime you, and will not find issues with the vehicle highly recommend.

Get the job done in a timely manner

I dont think the price is fair. The oxygen sensor in Autozone is about $60. But this store is listed $145. So I just select the diagnose and refuse to repair.

The worst! I brought my truck there for an electrical issue 3 times that they were never able to fix even after spending hundreds of dollars. A family friend ended up fixing it for $20. While they had my truck they replace a fuel line they claimed was leaking with a hose that literally had written on it DO NOT USE AS FUEL LINE (I have pictures). Obviously it pop like two days later spraying gasoline all over the parking lot of my sons school. Then when I took it back and pointed it out they tried to tell me that DO NOT USE AS FUEL LINE written in bold white letters on the hose didnt actually mean that and it must have just been a bad piece of hose. The mechanic I took it to after that laughed his ass off at their shitty work. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS. They arent crooks just absolutely incompetent.
