I love living at Griffis! The leasing office and maintenance crew are so nice and helpful. The complex is quiet, clean, and well kept. Its walking distance to old town, so its easy to go out to local eateries and shopping. Theres ample parking and tons of helpful amenities. Ive been here year almost and its been one of the best renting experiences I have had to date.
Griffis Lafayette Station is a lovely community, tucked away in a quiet part of Lafayette, near Old Town. I enjoy a well-appointed apartment tended by a great team of professionals. I am always amazed by their responsiveness to any concern or problem I have. The office personnel are friendly, knowledgeable and have gone above and beyond the call of duty to take care of me. The maintenance team has NEVER needed to return to a job they did for me. They did it quickly and did it right. The grounds are well cared for, lending a parklike setting to enjoy. And oh, the amenities! Anything you could ask for, and more. Finally, especially during the last year of Covid isolation and as a retiree with no live-in family, I couldnt possibly be more grateful for my being able to have my four-legged companion with me! I am happy (and proud) to call Griffis Lafayette Station My Home!
Julie is unbelievably patient and professional! She is exactly the kind of person you want to work with when dealing with something as stressful as a move! I would highly recommend anyone move here, especially if youre looking for people who are going to be easy and pleasant to work with!
Just moved in and Im super excited about my new apartment. Staff is fantastic, location is great, complex seems really nice and my place is awesome. Apartment couldve been cleaner and Im getting some maintenance done soon but overall minor complaints compared to what they got right.
The assistance manager and the service manager are always responsive, helpful, caring, and excellent communicator. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the assistance manager always responded to my emails, phone calls and texts right away. She was always on top of addressing all of the items in my email. The service manager handled any of the items in the apartment with professionalism and addressed the issue very quickly. The service manager was very professional and always handled the repair requests with care and always maintained a cleaned and safe environment.
Griffis Lafayette Station is a wonderful place to call home! I enjoy the best of both worlds. I have a contemporary apartment with modern amenities in a park-like setting with big trees and mature landscaping. The neighbors are friendly, the neighborhood is quiet and safe, with public transportation, restaurants and stores being within walking distance. I love this little town, and this little apartment community!Everyone in the management office is so friendly and helpful! Every problem I have had has been addressed quickly and beyond my every expectation. I tend to forget that I am only ONE of their 200+ tenants. They treat me, with my physical limitations, with understanding with care.No apartment is perfect, but this place comes close. It seems that every effort is made to improve this community I now call home. Oh, and did I mention that everyone in the management office is so friendly and helpful?
Staff is comprised of really great people. Very helpful in every respect. Location is perfect for Boulder commuters (bus terminal across the street). Bowling alley in walking distance, and the VFW is two minutes away. Special shout out to Hala, who is without question the friendliest person Ive ever met.
My family and I have been living here over 3 years. It has been amazing. Each year is better than the last. Both the management and maintenance teams are wonderful. They are polite professional and always pleasant. Repairs are carried out immediately.
We have lived in a number of apartment complexes -- all very nice -- but none better than Griffis Lafayette Station.Their office staff is extremely pleasant and very sensitive to the needs of the residents. The service team is most responsive, working rapidly to resolve any issue with apartment home or grounds. Our neighborhood is safe and quiet with full amenities, lovely grounds and attractively appointed clubhouse.Could any home be better? We dont think so!John and Diana
Upon move in the apartment was infested with large spiders, obviously wasnt cleaned, and the porch was littered with cigarette butts. We cleaned up the place and it was a pretty nice place for a few months.Once upstairs neighbors moved in it immediately became apparent there is no sound proofing. The floors basically amplify whats going on upstairs. With neighbors very active all day and late into the night its rendered this place terrible and would highly advise against living here if you value quiet and dont live in the third floor.
I have not written a review since I moved in 4 months ago I wanted to wait for the honeymoon to be over. But guess what the beat goes on! I love living here I can walk to public in 7 minutes and spouts in 15. Its an older building but great closet storage and lots of updates. I love that its quite at night so we can sleep. But really the number 1 reason is the staff. We looked at a lot of buildings but we decided on this one because of Hala and Courtney in the office are just amazing. Always big smiles and so welcoming. David in maintenance is super friendly and the couple of little things when I moved in were taken care of in minutes. Ok so my dog doesnt like the dog spa cause he doesnt like not smelling like dog but I love it!
I moved in last June and for the first month and a half the air conditioning didnt work . Theyd send maintenance out and it didnt get fixed .I have a child with special needs that has epilepsy and seizures due to heat so needless to say, it was unacceptable. Theyclaim to be smoke free, but it means cigarette free. People smoke marijuana all the time in their apartments and it makes the whole building smell. We called about it and they said they asked the people and they said they werent doing it. Didnt go check, obviously nobody is going to admit it. If they opened their door to walk outside, you got a huge stench. Its so bad when you walk into my apartment, it smells like we are smoking it. They told us to call the police, but the police cant do anything because its legal 🙄 The window in the master bedroom will not shut all the way so maintenance just pried it shut and told us by the spring or summer, it should hopefully be able to shut all the way. You can hear EVERYTHING with the people above you and it always sounds like theyre pounding. The light fixture in the master bedroom fell down, its just hanging there. Half the cabinets just fall off randomly. The dryer randomly stops working and you have to put it through 2 or 3 times for a small load of laundry to get dry. The location is nice, the neighbors are friendly, and the amenities are nice, everything else is not. I would not recommend moving in here unless you want to deal with the smell of weed all the time (and I dont care that people smoke it, I dont want to have to smell it or walk into my apartment that I pay a lot of money for to it smell like people are smoking pot in my place, but for an apartment to claim non smoking, its just wrong), things falling apart, the A/C maybe working, and hearing everything above you at all hours .
The community is safe and quiet The staffs are friendly, knowledgeable of the community and always have positive answers to questions/concerns. Schools, workplace and stores are in close proximity. During inclement weather the staffs works promptly and efficiently to clean the snow/ice to make commute easy Work orders are done promptly and efficiently
Though I have only lived here a short time I have found the staff to be fantastic. So much to do in a short walking distance. Cant wait for art night to start, again its just short walk away.
We haven’t had a single problem with the staff so far. They are super super pet friendly and have a pool. They always always ask how my day is going and if they could do anything to make this a better environment and all I can say is that whatever they are doing now just to keep it up!! Im reaching almost 2 years here and I work afternoons and I dont get home until close to 11pm at night and not once did I feel like I wasnt safe. I even walk my dog that late without worrying about anything. So I would totally recommend this place and give it a 10/10 for best place to have a home!!!
My husband and I were considering renting at Griffis. The customer service by Courtney and members of their team were exceptional. Unfortunately, we were unable to rent from them, however, I would certainly consider this rental community in the future. The were helpful, professional and willing to work with us. Please consider them a valuable housing resource.
I have lived here for 7 plus years. I feel very safe and secure as a single woman. They have beautified the complex and entire property. Whenever I have had an issue or problem it was resolved within 24hours or sooner. I do wish that my apartment was updated but that is just me.... I am quite happy to be a resident of Lafayette and Griffis Lafayette Station
Ive been living at the Griffis apartments since April of this year. So far Ive had a really good experience, maintenance is efficient and quick, lawn and trees are always trimmed, administrative personnel is friendly and helpful. There are a few things I have issue with: rent seems high, trash needs to be picked up better, watering timing needs to be more efficient because of over watering and puddling, parking lots cement needs to be leveled better.
We’ve been here 2 years and know we’ll be here much longer :) We couldn’t ask for better management, maintenance, location and community!
I enjoy living at Griffis, You can see all the effort that goes into grounds and property maintenance. The office staff is very good and stays on top of things.Ive learned to time my exits and route on Sunday morning to avoid the church traffic.I can get to my restaurant Morning Glory Cafe in about 10 minutes.
A beautiful community and affordable option, especially considering location! The staff is so great and always helpful, all the community amenities are very up-to-date, and (bonus!) they are super dog friendly.
We moved in to Griffis Lafayette in April of 2015 and couldnt be happier with our decision. The neighborhood is quiet, the staff are great and the price is reasonable for the area. Yes, it went up a bit since they upgraded the pool and clubhouse, but theyre not worse than any of the other places we looked at and the staff couldnt be more accommodating.
Ive been a resident here for the past three years: great location, Lafayette Park and Ride, nature trails, walking distance to grocery, restaurants, and almost anything you might need. I have good neighbors and we have created a nice community. Administration and maintenance have been prompt to solve problems I have encountered. Hala and Courtney are so nice and welcoming and Emily has been my great support and friend since we met in 2013. We even have a book club where we meet once a month. I truly recommend this community to families or any single person. The dogs have a bar treat for them in the club house and their own washing station on site.
Very poor condition apartments, watch out for management moves to over charge you. While location is good, management sucks.Watch out for the RATS
I am torn. I love the location and the community itself is great, but my apartment leaves much to be desired. I was so excited to move here and was hoping it would be a place to settle in and stay a while. Unfortunately, this apartment is just another temporary place to live. The leasing representative was untrained and not knowledgeable about the specifications of the apartment choices. I asked very specific questions during the viewing tour and the answers given were undoubtedly false. I would never have chosen the apartment I did if my questions were answered correctly. The kitchen is the most important feature to me and I am stuck with a tiny, barely functional kitchen for the next 15 months. I think if I had a different apartment, I would love it here.
Plenty of places to park. Clean. No public bathroom.
Lived here for a year and I DO NOT recommend it. When I first moved in here the rent was $1010.00 a month but when the new owners came my rent slowly but surely creeped up past $1200. When I asked what the rise was for both of the staff members gave me different answers. I never could get a straight answer. Whats worse is the fact that this place does NOT have air conditioning at all, so if you do rent only do it for the winter if possible because the heat is the only thing that works in the apartments. Never live here, you will regret it just like I did!
Were in our 7th year at Griffis. During the first year my wife and I looked at each other almost every day and made a silent check-mark in the air at how advantageous living here was. The apartment was so well designed and the pool has been a daily activity for me. The trees and flowers are a pleasure to behold and we dont have any work to do to maintain the environment. Neighbors are first class as well as the amenities. Best of all is the service provided. Any problems are usually resolved within a day or two. Were truly thankful to be here.
Ive lived here for a bit and I do like it alot. I do wish small things were changed though. My apartment was completely renovated but the original bath faucet was left which does not match the rest of the fixtures and looks out of place. There is not much soundproofing between floors and apparently not a weight limit on dogs for people living above the ground floor which makes it kind of noisy about 50% of the time. But that doesnt bother me much. Rent is a tad high but still cheaper than Boulder comparatively.
This used to be a great place to live. Despite the obviously poor construction quality of the apartments (like ill-fitting cabinets and faucet handles that dont turn the right way), it was well-run and well-kept. But the people running the management in the office have changed, for the worse. They no longer shovel the sidewalks in a timely fashion, and they never shovel completely, so patches of ice form, especially right at the foot of the stairs. They almost never plow the parking lots after it snows anymore, no matter how much it has snowed. The office is supposed to be open until 6 on weekdays, but I have stopped by to pick up a package 3 days in a row around 5:45 and the office was locked and closed for the day. I understand wanting to skip out of work a little early, but I have a job too and cant stop by the office at noon, so I really need them to stick to their posted hours. Ive gone into the office to take care of some business and, despite informing the 4 people sitting in the office that I needed help, waited for 20 minutes while they all chatted about their weekends. I could hear the conversation while I waited. It used to be that the stellar management made up for this complexs other shortcomings, but that just isnt the case anymore.
My son has a very nice apartment here.
Horrible place to live. The office staff are completely unorganized. They have lost numerous copies of our insurance information and then had the audacity to charge us because they lost it. Also they never take care of the grounds, in the winter I have seen so many people slip on ice! The apartments them selves are cheap, refrigerator doesnt work & barely any of the doors close. When we moved in the carpets had not even been cleaned. Only thing good about this place is the location
Disappointing. I know Colorado is expensive, but I would hope to have the price match the apt. on certain levels. (And no, I did not get to see the apt. prior to move-in and it is something I will NEVER do again.) ADVICE: Do not agree to rent a garage at the beginning of your lease unless you know for certain you will use it. I am now stuck paying $75 a month when this is the last thing my strained budget needs, especially considering the state tax that is deducted from each check. Im beginning to regret the move to Colorado and now I am stuck with a lease until June 2017.
Cozy apartments. Great location. Management is friendly to work with.
We absolutely love it here!
