Defence Lab in Kyle, has been great to my son, who has his own challenges. Their patience and ability to work with my son and his challenges to redirect his and the other students attention to get back on task is terrific and has really made a difference and probably the reason he still finds enjoyment in learning martial arts. His challenges usually cause him to become frustrated especially when learning something new and hes having a difficult time picking it up. That frustration usually leads him to want to give up and quit, but the staff at Defense Lab does a great job working with him to give him the confidence and support to keep trying until he gets it and feels good about his accomplishments.

My son has absolutely enjoyed his “fight club” training. He enjoys the classes and the instructors are so very patient with what seems like herding feral cats (3 1/2-5 yrs). That isn’t a job for just anyone and they make it look easy!! It’s been great to see the confidence change in my son!

My daughter always looks forward to showing up to class. We’ve been in their program for a year now and it’s a great way for her to build her confidence, get physical activity, and have the skills and knowledge to defend herself. The evening classes have been great to work with our schedules. They are also very health and safety conscious, disinfecting all equipment/tables/chairs between each class. Thank you Defense Lab!

The flow of the classes is great, students are non-stop from start to finish. Classes are appropriate and adapted for all ages and abilities. The instructors have high expectations but are patient with each learner. And they try to work with each family on their individual schedules and what can work best for them.

We have been part of the DL Family for a year now, we absolutely love DL. My daughter Octavia goes twice a week sometimes 3 times a week! My 12 year old girls have been attending regularly since September of this year. The instructors are 100% invested in helping develop well rounded human beings. They have a magical way of building trust and relationships with all who enter the doors. They set expectations and help my girls develop a goal driven attitude that includes accountability on both the parent and participants. The tools they are teaching and developing in my girls will last a lifetime. I appreciate that in order to belt up, the students must meet not only technique expectations, but academic and home life expectations...well rounded!

I can’t say enough about DL! My husband and son have been attending classes over a year - my daughter and I joined them this past spring. The positive changes in my kids have been awesome! Not just Increased focus, respect and discipline - but my 10 year old son has developed leadership skills and self confidence that my husband and I are so happy to see. My 8 year old daughter loves that we can all do something together instead of mom and dad just sitting there watching (not gonna lie - I’m hooked! It’s great exercise!). I am not worried about my kiddos being able to defend themselves if need be. The instructors are top notch - they truly get to know you and know how to bring the best out in each of us individually! I enrolled my son to help build confidence in himself and to help build some basic skills to defend himself, if ever he was in a situation where he had to. Boy did I get way more!! All the instructors truly care about improving skills in class, accountability with responsibilities at home and school. I absolutely love this class for my daughter. She has really excelled in the classes she is taking. These classes help me to put my mind at ease knowing that my daughter can defend herself. I tried 3 different ways to get the price for this place, but the website has no info.And then I went there twice and got a different price each time. One of the people working there even said you have to sign a contract.So whats the deal? Just be straightforward with your pricing. This place feels like talking to a used car salesman

My son started this week and I have already notice noticed improvement in his focus, and self control. The instructors are great, especially with the younger students my son is 4. Signing my son up for classes here is one of the best things I have done.

No pricing on website, wants way to much information to answer a simple question. Have heard they make you sign a contract, which means if I don’t like what they are teaching I am still obligated to pay. No bio of the instructors, how do you know their experience?

We highly recommend this place! Our kids have learned so much disciple and respect from taking classed here. We love how they take time to work with the kids not only on martial arts and any other issues they might be having at school or home.

We absolutely love going to DefenceLab Hays - both my kids get personalized attention they need to excel! We go 5 days a week most weeks - homeschool classes and evening classes for my daughter because she has fallen in love. The kids investigate and form conclusions and learn great techniques at the same time. My daughter has even gone to a NMAA competition with them and got amazing technique scores from the judges. Feels like a big family environment- absolutely love it.
