I had them come to my house on 3 occasions, the first 2 times it was the same guy, he was a nice older man but had no idea what he was doing. The first time he said that he ordered 2 pieces, came the second time and only brought 1 piece and said he forget I needed the other piece. The third time was a different man, he was more professional BUT I just found out he lied and said my machine was fixed. When it clearly wasn’t.Overall a dishonest, lazy, and disorganized company. If I could give 0 stars I would
Two technicians from Ray Appliance Repair came to my house on two separate occasions and neither of them were pleasant. The first technician insisted on constantly interrupting me and asking me how to do his own job along with insisting on standing next to my dog to talk with me, who is clearly aggravated. The second technician came out to complete the repair but ended up damaging my dryer exhaust tube, not actually connecting it at all and leaving the dryer positioned in a manner that it would block the door. When I called and spoke with Alex, the manager all he did was deny that his texts were at any fault at all. He told me that rigid dryer vent tubes such as mine, need to be replaced regularly and that his tech could not possibly have done the damage pictured. I finally got them to agree to come back to connect the dryer exhaust tube but was told that I would have to purchase my own exhaust tube.Under no circumstance would I ever consider using this company again for anything. It does not seem like any of the text have the actual knowledge to fix anything or the decency to not cause damage to your own property.
Never showed up for an appointment through the warranty company twice and acted like *I* was the crazy one for being upset. We didnt have a technician available. But never bothered to call and tell me they werent coming! Been without a washing machine for two weeks now. Asked to speak to someone higher up/manager, they hung up on me. Dont use this company!
I have had to deal with this company on three separate repair issues on an LG refrigerator due to being the company warranty scheduled. (Even after I asked for a diff company)1st issue- they forgot to even order the parts. Until I called to follow up on when an appointment for the replacement of compressor would be done. (And admitted it to me!! When I was upset, the comment back was “at least I was honest with you.”) Continued to call back as they told me when parts were expected, then tried to schedule my repair weeks out after parts finally received. Even though Alex (supposed manager) told me if they came in that day, the service would be scheduled the next day. (Over two weeks to solve)2nd issue - a month later, not cooling. Deemed Freon low. I ask about leak, they insist it just wasn’t properly filled. (A week to solve)3rd issue - still not cooling. Tech says compressor (again) wait on parts. Continue to call them with previous history. Finally parts are in, I ask to schedule appointment. Told they will call me back the following week to schedule. Ugh, No, schedule me now for the following week. Appointment date comes, something tells me to call before they close to confirm my 2-7 appointment still on. I’m told “tech too busy, won’t be there”. Manager Alex useless. No one takes responsibility. Makes me take ANOTHER day off work for replacement. Master Tech (only one trained to put on compressor) shows up this time, says not the compressor. Doesn’t know what the issue could be, but def not compressor. We are 5 weeks after first diagnostic visit... and still no fridge.Warranty has since sent a new company, as they want a 2nd opinion now before having to replace. This new company says evaporator coils and condenser. We shall see, already this new company more professional than Ray. I will forever NOT recommend this company to everyone I know!
The technician (young man) had no idea what he was doing! He put a new latch on my dishwasher and I walked around the corner to find him trying to “jam” my dishwasher back in place! He had loosened the front row of ceramic tile on my counter top and scratched both sides of the top of the door. I am just sick. We glued the counter top and I have a scratched up 3 month old $700 plus dishwasher. I’m absolutely sick over it.
Evidently this is a FAILING company, 19 ratings & ONLY 2 stars out of 5 speaks volumes & the same issues over & over Rude, undependable, lying, damages, & faulty or NO repairs. Also they are in Kissimmee Fl. which is at least 1 1/2 hours from my location in Fl. but to attempt to stay in business, evidently have gotten on to Choice Home Warrantys provider list which will send them out to prey on trusting home warranty owners, in their desperate bid to bring in customers. This is not the first fly by night screw up business my home warranty company has tried to send out, the last small business they tried to send out for a repair I ran a check on and that company did NOT even have a business tax receipt in the FL. county they are located in. Folks NEVER let your warranty company send someone out, to fix an item till YOU the homeowner checks the reputation of the repair company out, by a google rating, BBB website ( for the location the business is located in) and your countys clerk of court site to see if someone has sued them in small claims court. Also check to see they are properly licensed with the state. No one is going to protect YOUR interest but you ! Let the Buyer beware !
Was very pleasant. Would recommend him. Fixed washer and works good now
DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. They are a joke. Took them over a month to fix my fridge. One guy came out and looked at it then ordered wrong part. Took them 3 weeks to get new part then over a week to schedule an appt to fix it. Second guy comes out and I think he fixed it not completely sure yet but while putting in new compressor he burnt my floor and my baking sheet he didn’t ask to use. Like who does that! And then you call and husband calls and I pretty much get called a liar.
Mathew and Johny are not lying about their experience with this company. My family is experiencing the same appointment issues with them. We have been with no refrigerator for the last three weeks because they cant seem to keep an appointment nor have Courtesy to call us and let us know they cant make it or to reschedule. Do not use this company.
LG subcontracted this company to repair a defective door seal on our refrigerator. NO call No show 1st appointment. When we called, they said we were scheduled for another day. Waited 2nd time NO call NO SHOW. Called, waited on hold for 10 minutes to be told OH, we have you scheduled for another day. Were given appointment times, email confirmations from LG for them to come. Will be either A. returning the refrigerator to best buy, or B. asking LG to send a reputable repair company that can handle customer service.
Called end of July, they came out for Warrantech as the refrigerator is still under warranty. Tech barely took the time to diagnose the issue, literally had to run out to him before he pulled off to even get them to order the part to replace the fan. Advised the part was on back order to Aug. 8th, day came and went still didnt hear from them. Called, they said there was no date given as to when the part would ship. A week later the refrigerator stop working altogether. Called back to Rays, then told the part was on back order till Aug. 31, mind you the date is Aug. 18. So we decided to have someone else come out and look at the refrigerator as that is a long time to be without. The other company said the issue was not the fan but the compressor was gone. Called Ray back, the gentleman (Henry) that answered barely let me explain what I needed before blowing me off. Actually told me to hold on as another customer needed him, what about the customer that you have on the line with you (I guess I didnt need his service). Tried to explain how the tech barely took the time to diagnose the issue the first time and wanted them to come back out now that the refrigerator was completely not working to make sure that was the issue. Told me that they could only do that after that got the first part and installed it (mind you, part not available till Aug. 31st). Placed me on hold, then got back on the phone told me to call Warrentech, as they would need another ticket to come back out to actually do what they should have done the first time they came out. Again, tried to ask that they make sure, started cutting me off and wouldnt even let me speak during the whole phone conversation. When I called him on being rude and how you do not handle a customer like this. He informed me, that he was the only one there and stretched thin. I then asked what happened to Kevin who called early that day to give me a update as the same person (Henry), didnt bother to enter notes from the day before that i had called to tell them that the refrigerator was no longer working. Henry didnt even have a reply as he knew that he was being rude. I did call Warrantech back for them to send another ticket, which they told I didnt need another ticket as it was under the same one until it was resolved, go figure that. I will NEVER use Ray Appliance again, unfortunately Warrantech would not let me change companies until the issue was resolved. They will never step back into my home after this.Update: They refused to come back out and diagnose my refrigerator before they got the part (back order August 31st) that is not even the issue with my refrigerator. Got Warrantech to change the repair company and my refrigerator is now fixed and running!
Im very satisfied with the service. Juan was great at fixing my not cooling issue. I deducted one star because he had to take 2 trips due to wrong part receive by insurance company.
Great service. The technician Melvin was very helpful. I dont know why it took me so long to find this company.
These people are terrible they lie about your appointments, they say we call when they dont, they have appointment for today and moved for tomorrow and they end up moving it for next week. They are useless I read several of the reviews and wonder how they stay on business.
Charged me $99 to look at my broken LG refrigerator. They Technician tells me that the compressor is bad. They then tried to charge me another $700 for a “warranty” repair. Once LG called them to authorize the repair, they refused to do the job after keeping me waiting for two weeks saying that their tech “misdiagnosed” the problem on the first visit. Now that I want my diagnostic fee back suddenly they want to come install the compressor which they said yesterday wont fix it. Really?????? No trust makes bad business.Update 12/3....After LG told me that they would make sure I was refunded the diagnostic charge for the warranty repair, 2 people at Rays told me I would be refunded. I just received a call to inform me that they are not going to refund the charge.Update 12/21....Compressor replaced even though I was told the diagnosis was wrong. Seems to work so must be a miracle. Never refunded the diagnosis. Nothing resolved as far as I am concerned.
Never return phone calls. They just keep putting you off on repairs.
This company sucks. They do not value your time at all. Ive had several appointments no show. The warranty company on my appliances makes me use this place.
The company misses their appointments, lies about communications being sent, and states my electronics insurrance company doesnt have my tv serial. Instead of calling they make you wait at home all day to just not show up until I call. Alex on the phone litterally expected me to wait from 8am to 5pm to get my tv fixed when I called to see where the tech was on his route to expect him accordingly. When asked to speak with management Alex claimed I could not he was the only one to handle the situation. I hope the bestbuy warranty no longer uses this irresponsible company and their horrible business practices.
We have beed dealing with a Samsung refrigerator issue for 6 months and none of the companies that showed up could fix the problem. I demanded from Warrantech to send me a different company and the suggested Ray Appliance Repair. They showed up on time and fixed the issue, I dont know why it took so long for the insurance to send the right company for the job.
