I love living here. Convenient to everything I need and I walk to work. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Maintenance is done timely and efficiently.
These apartments are SO FANCY! And the best part is the movie theatre and Salt & Straw right downstairs! Im so glad the nice lady in the office was able to show us around and tell us about all the new things coming to the mall soon. SO EXCITING! Maybe one day my dog and I will be able to move here!!!
So I have been living at this location prior to change over in ownership so I have a clear understanding of how it was before and after. I must honestly say I was a bit concerned and confused when suddenly out of nowhere to my knowledge the management changed hands less than a year into my lease. I have to admit it has been ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! I have gotten such a amazing communication with Kayla who was one of the original leasing agents with the prior firm. She moved into a new position and she has been friendly, open, available, professional, helpful, knowledgeable…….the list goes on and on. Then there is Ashley she has been a top notch addition to managing the property! Everytime I come to chat or have a question she makes herself available to me and to multiple other tenants in the building. She even heard my questions and desires for the community she addressed them promptly with a smile and genuine concern! Magdelena has also been a great help and super supportive and always open to everything I ask her! This has been the greatest team and they all are always the pinnacle of what you would expect from a Top tier luxury living community here in Kirkland! This place is the most opulent, clean, extremely upscale, tranquil, living environment I have ever experienced. Living here is a Experience! A true one of a kind gem I am inspired and stunned still with everyday. Small details matter from a meticulous fragrance when you enter the building, to the three outdoor magical relaxing spaces with high end shrubs, outdoor furniture, hammocks, the list goes on and on everything is high end! If your thinking of moving anywhere else I can bet you it’s not as nice as Bell Totem Lake Kirkland.
Been living here for 3 months now and everyone has been amazing! Big shout out to the maintenance staff comprised of Spencer and Eric. They do a great job promptly responding to any issues we have had. So far I am very satisfied with everything. One thing to be aware of is there are going to be some extra fees. All of this is clearly listed in the leading paperwork but until you get to that point you are unaware. For example, the apartment requires all residents split the cost of electricity for common areas every month, there is a $5 a month fee for their package lockers, and water is pretty expensive.
Cody has been great. Always making us feel welcomed and answering our questions. I am in love with my new beautiful kitchen and overall community
I LOVE living here- it’s like living at a fancy hotel. The management is awesome- Kayla always makes the events and decorations for holidays fun! Covid has kind of made it hard to enjoy the amenities as freely as I would like, but that’s not Aura’s fault! I love how secure the building is and love how walkable it is to Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and Lululemon. Definitely recommend.
I typically dont actually leave reviews but my encounter with the office staff was phenomenal! Ive never seen a staff member so eager to make my experience great! She answered all of my questions honestly and really hilighted the perks of living here. Im so excited to continue doing business with a company that hires people who actually care. Good on you ATL!
Kayla was the reason I selected this building. From start to finish: she was thorough, efficient and made sure I had every question answered. She runs this building like a oiled machine. I am grateful to be apart of it.
I’m moving in to Aura Totem lake this month and have had the best experience already! Kayla was so helpful and amazing and I can’t wait to live here :)
Kayla, Sara, Cody, and Erin have been a wonderful team to work with. Each and every one of them has taken the time to answer all of my questions or concerns. I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a great place to live
Kayla was very friendly, she had a pleasant personality and provided knowledgeable and resourceful resources about Aura Totem Lake. She answered all my questions and I felt she truly cared about my experience at Aura Totem Lake.
I have been having tons of troubling attempting to view, apply, and get a result from this apartment application. Its very frustrating. They really need to work on their response time and turn around times. Most apartments in the area have the ability to schedule tours same day or next day, and they all offer the same promos. Aura Totem lake takes days to schedule. The only time I received quick responses was with their online chat service, which I think is a 3rd party.I was attempting to apply quickly by doing tour online (without a leasing agent), and applying. But there were issues with the links in the application and misleading floor plans with not enough detail. For example, a floor plan will show availability, and show a balcony/terrace with an *. But it doesnt tell you by apartment number whether or not the particular unit you are applying to actually has a balcony or terrace. They have boxes that you have to check to confirm terms and conditions, with a link. The link leads to nowhere. I still have no idea what I agreed to.When I asked about the promotion, which doesnt specify lease length, I was told that it applies only to 16 to 18 month leases. In my opinion that is a pretty gross ask. People are barely employed, outlook for jobs is unstable even for us who have jobs. So Why would someone commit to 16 months.Lastly, they do not have any sort of guarantee for the apartment. So you can do virtual tours, or self-guided but upon move-in there is no guarantee allowing out of your lease if its a hot mess express.Seriously questionable.EDIT: I updated the review to 3 stars because Kayla has been extremely helpful since my initial impression of Aura. I have asked for tons of information and videos and Kayla has provided them in a timely manner. If you end up taking the plunge into applying here I highly suggest you request to work with Kayla. She has great customer service, and provides the most entertaining virtual tours.I still believe there are improvements to be made as listed above. But I acknowledge the work that is being done to improve.
I would give no star for their customer service. The leasing office is very unprofessional and unknowledgeable.
All staff members were very friendly and helpful. Me and my mom are very much happy to say this is our home. Especially Kayla, helping us a lot with the information. Our moving was very easy. Thank you Team for your help!
Beautiful community with awesome. The staff is always friendly and incredibly helpful.
My experience has been amazing! I ask an abnormally large amount of questions and they have been so gracious and patient. Kayla was kind and extremely quick to respond. They made this move so easy and I just spent my first night in this gorgeous apartment!!!! Thank your Kayla and Team for your help!
The team at Aura in Kirkland / Totem Lake are fantastic. What great service that supports a wonderful community. Im excited for my son to live in this brand new / secured building. Cody was great showing us around. My son Jaden, loves the building -- im 100% sure Jaden will enjoy staying here while he finishes up his college at Lake Washington Technical College.
I moved in to my apt around September, the staff are very friendly and willing to help you out with any problem you have. I love my apartment and updated appliances, and the fact that this apt community respects the quiet hours, The only problems I have is that I can hear people walking in the hallways (opening and closing there apt doors), I do live next to the trash& recycling room so I hear people going In and out of that and throwing trash and recycling away. The smoke alarm is a little sensitive so it tends to go off if I forget to turn the fan on or open the windows when I’m cooking.
Excellent place to live. Im very happy to live in this place.
Its obvious that the care and focus is just not there. These apartments run warm and its obvious that the staff refuses to acknowledge it. They makes excuses that arent true. Even the maintenance staff refuses to do good. They mentioned that the electricity wiring is weird and its obvious to the average person that something is wrong. However, when it comes to fixing, all the electrician did the most minimal thing. Poor management overall.Updated to one starThe annoyances carry on. 10 minute notice thay they will shut off power for 10 minute. Turns out to be 20. Fire alarms going off multiple times in a day. Package lockers have endless problems.
Think twice about leasing here if youre a person of color. The one star is really for the property manager, Erin. Without her, this would be zero stars (though technically thats not possible here).1. ** Violating their own screening requirements because we are an ethnic couple ** We are an ethnic couple with an 800+ credit score but they asked us for 6 months of banking statements bc my husband is self-employed (even though their legal guidelines indicate that they only need his W2 and 2 months of financial statement for self-employment -- Ive attached their screening requirements here).2. ** Asking us for 7x the standard deposit without any explanation or acknowledgement from our leasing agent ** We were approved but Kayla requested that we needed additional deposit requirements: in the sum of $2100. The standard deposit at Aura is $300. We were naturally shocked due to our stellar credit score, rental history and income. When we asked for an explanation, the property manager, Erin, stepped in and asked if our credit scores were locked and to unlock them so she could re-run our credit. We got the $300 deposit. Kayla, our leasing agent, never once bothered to acknowledge any of our panicked emails asking for an explanation regarding the $2100 deposit.3. ** Gross reluctance in sending our lease back -- note that weve already paid application fees and admin fees ** I requested that Kayla change our lease date start to one day later. It was a Thursday and Kayla said she would be able to send it back to us by Tuesday. They were closed on Saturday, but still: FOUR days to re-generate my lease? I would never ask someone to work overtime/late just to re-generate my lease, but I am really dubious as to why it would take FOUR days to send me back my lease for me to sign. I asked Kayla for an explanation on why she needed four days and she was able to re-generate our lease two days early after all. But the lease now had the $2100 deposit on it again that needed to be adjusted.4. ** Ignoring us for 7 days after requesting they adjust our lease to the correct amount ** We sent an email on Monday requesting that Kayla adjust the deposit to $300 because it was at $2100 again. Never heard from her. The following Monday (7 days later) after not hearing back from Kayla and our lease starting in 12 days, I reached out to Aura incensed. Apparently, Kayla did not generate our lease because she thought it was taken care of by her colleague. I dont buy it. Does the system not remind Kayla that our lease still has not been signed? Should she not have checked the files to make sure everything was hunky dory?Aura is a brand new building and no one has ever lived in the apartments. Our unit was actually taken off the market by someone else, so Kayla reached out to let us know that whoever submitted a rental application for the unit decided to upgrade to a two bedroom instead. I wonder if this is really true or if the person actually withdrew their application like we did.We actually found another apartment we liked and guess what: we looked at the apartment, submitted our application, got approved, and signed the lease documents THE SAME DAY. Even after signing our lease, our leasing agent quickly responds to all of our questions. This is how an apartment community makes you feel valued!
Close to shops, Gym. Live music. Nice people around, helpful staff, very good neighborhood. Cinemark is coming soon. I hope some fancy restaurants and bars also join us in future. Enough parking area for shoppers and visitors.
I just moved into Aura in March. Despite the craziness of what is going on in the world currently, Kayla and Mariana have gone above and beyond helping me get situated. It’s so nice to be in a apartment that feels like home and you are treated as such. The building is absolutely beautiful and you can tell just how much time and attention has been put into the building. From the greenery and landscaping in the multiple courtyards, to the excellent security of the building, Aura is definitely has the best amenities you could ask for.
Honestly I think the apartments are beautiful and might be pricy but considering the location and how nice they are, worth that price. However, we were lied to about the unit we viewed and the price of that unit. We were told the room was a different floorplan and the price of the cheapest (and wrong) floorplan instead of the price of that unit. I only realized this when searching the specific room number that we viewed while filling out the application. After some thought, we would have chosen a different floorplan as a compromise between what we wanted and what we were shown, but its not worth worrying about what other ways we could be mislead.
The design of their balcony facing east is just interesting. On 6th floor, when you look out of the window, you only see the bottom of 7th floors balcony which blocks the sun light making your room very dark. You may want to consider carefully if you need a quiet apartment. The building is surrounded by highways/retail store vents/constructions...
My husband and I were visiting the area and Kayla was able to squeeze us in *TWICE* to see the property within 48 hours! Kayla really stood out to us as a leasing manager. She was funny, positive, and most importantly, patient with our questions and needs. If at any point we wanted to see an apartment again, she would joyfully take us back without being annoyed or impatient. There is no question that Aura Totem Lake is a beautifully constructed property located conveniently next to retail shops, grocery stores, and small restaurant. Thank you Kayla and the Aura Team for providing such a positive experience for us, we hope to join the community one day!
Onsite maintenance staff is awesome! Very nice apartments with convenient access to 405. Tons of good restaurants and shopping all less than half a mile away from the front door of the building.
Our first month has been a success weve enjoyed it so far. Excited to see the plaza grow and the building fill and definitely looking forward to finally being able to use our awesome amenities.
I told them that I needed an AC unit in the very beginning but they ended up leasing me a non-AC unit. They shouldve cared more about their future residents and known their needs. I withdrew my application to that non-AC unit but they did not refund the $345 fee.----update--They agreed to refund me $300. I am waiting for the check.
Amazing staff and beautiful building and location
