What a great snorkeling trip!!! When we arrived, the lady warned us that the waters were going to be rough and offered to refund our money, but we came too far for that and went anyway. I understand why they did that, as some people would blame them for Mother Nature, but I am SO glad we did anyway. Our guides were so kind and helpful, especially with it being my 13 year old daughter’s first snorkeling adventure. We saw beautiful fish and felt very safe and well looked after. This is a great place to trust with your snorkeling or diving needs. 🐠🤿❤️EDITED: I meant to insinuate that I was VERY appreciative of the warning!! We expected the worst and we’re pleasantly surprised. I think that is very cool or y’all to be open and honest. We liked you so much we booked a second snorkel tour before we head home 😃

We stopped at the welcome center when we arrived and the guy recommended this place for our snorkeling trip.He booked us and we had a great adventure. The captain and the first mate were both personal and told great stories and informed us wellThey work for tips so be prepared.We went to elbow reef the to a ship wreck.We saw some pretty fish, Not as many as we had hoped.The boat ride out to the reef was worth the price even if you don’t snorkel.Then we used the same company to take a jet ski eco tour.The guide was fun and knowledgeable he gave us a great trip. We did the 90 minute one.We went in the morning and didn’t see dolphins only manatee.He told us afternoon was better to see dolphins.

Went on two trips with Pirates Cove Watersports and both were so much fun. The first time was in April for snorkeling, loved how friendly the crew were and helpful, explained all about what wed see underwater and where to look. The second was in July to get my scuba certification. Mike was our instructor and he was really helpful, I was a little afraid but I did feel prepared and safe in the water. He was very passionate and knowledgeable about scuba diving and the reefs we went to. Absolutely loved both experiences and I cant wait to go back for some more adventures. I went to 3 different locations all beautiful and full of cool colorful fish. Water was a little cold in February but still worth it!

Great captain and crew and an excellent snorkeling experience. Capt Tommy and first mate Jose made the experience enjoyable. In the way out someone spotted dolphin so they got close to them and cut the engine so we could enjoy watching them. Then they got them to play in the wake of the boat. It totally made my day. They took us to two reefs where we saw lots of fish, sharks and awesome fan coral. The boat wasnt crowded, the places we snorkeled also werent packed. It has a very relaxed feel to our trip. We will go again!!

My husband and I did the snorkeling trip. Our captain and 1st mate were great. I felt like they really cared that we had a great time. I had a problem with my snorkel and they helped me fix it so I could be enjoy myself. Wonderful fish and coral at 2nd dive site, the statue was ok but the 2nd site was much better. All in all it was a great time.

This was a great snorkeling trip! Not my first but a first for my kids. Adrian was a absolute great guide ( not sure if it’s spelled right). The places picked and the information given was fantastic. Also they really do care about the reef and doing a great job. We will be back again.

THey are so accommodating and flexible. Changed my 8am trip to the 1pm no problem. Captain Katie was excellent. Took care of me when I got very seasick. She was very detailed and explained everything. 80s music on the boat which is so great. Im not even going to try another one, if ever visiting again, Ill go to Pirates Cove.

Professional and prompt. They took us to the first site and it was way too wavy. So they went to a second one it was way too wavy too, so they went to a third where we snorkled some people do. I treated us all respectfully took time finding the best place for us given me weather conditions and were helpful. This is a great staff and a great day! We ended up going to a different location after that and that was good also, so they made sure we went to two different places even though it cost them gas money trying to find a good place for us to go, this is a quality outfit!

We had a great time during our snorkeling trip this past weekend. The captian and deck hand were friendly and informative. We saw a pod of dolphins up close, colorful and even a shark! Highly recommend taking a trip with them!

Highly recommend scuba diving with Mike and Dave! It was my first time and Mike was so patient and kind, I was not sure about diving, but Mike was awesome. They went over everything clearly and when we went out to dive I felt confident in what they had taught me. My family enjoyed diving together. It was one of the best memories of our vacation. SCUBA diving is one of my favorite activities and Pirates Cove delivered an amazing experience. Had a blast with 4 dives over 2 days in Key Largo. Having the dive shop located and managed on the grounds of the Marriott Key Largo Bay Resort really makes this shop stand out. The whole organization was very well run with a focus on safety above all else. I was impressed to see the set up of the boat/gear happening well in advance of check in and knew then that a great dive was coming. I also definitely appreciated the dedication to the preservation of the local ecology.Booking was simple and can be done online or with a call. Suzi, Krissy, Katie and Matt quickly and efficiently took care of setting the appointments, check in and waiver signing. Even during times when there was a lot of people to get checked in, they acted as a well oiled machine for getting everyone taken care of in short order.Once check in was completed we were handed off to the First Mate Hadriam who ensured that all of the gear was in tip top shape (regardless of shop rental or personal gear) and ensured that everyone was readied with a smile and a few corny diving dad jokes.Once checked in, we were introduced to our guides. Day one was Mike whos love for Key Largo really shown through. His dedication to safety and professionalism was put all the divers at ease. Mike was super knowledgeable about the Molasses Reef (dive location) and had a well laid plan for both dives. He was able to adjust the dive to meet the skill level of all divers in the group and worked with the captain and first mate to get us aboard for our trip to the reef. On the dive we say a ton of reef fish, corals, barracudas, lobster, scorpion fish, nurse sharks and turtles. Also, did a couple of swim thrus.Day two we met Murph (Rick) as our guide. Like the day before, Murph was super skilled and friendly. He planned a set of dives that took me to a different area of the reef that showed a different face of the ecology. He took our small group to several shelfs that had a large green turtle and we were able to get within 5 feet of her. Also got the opportunity to see 2 nurse sharks and tons of reef fish.We had the privilege of 2 different captains. Day one we met Captain Russ and day two Captain Pete. Both ran a pretty tight ship and were really friendly. They skillfully and safely piloted an updated, large and clean double hulled vessel. As an eco-conscious diver, I was impressed that both were extremely attentive to their operation in the local ecology and made sure that wildlife were avoided on our trip out to the reef.Because of Pirates Cove and their staff, I will be coming back annually!!! Thank you for making our time in Key Largo memorable and special.

After a reschedule to due to weather- this was incredible. The front office staff notified us of their safety concerns beforehand, offered alternatives, and reschedule dates. We choose the next date and could not be more impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail. Front office and guides were top notch. We had so much fun and learned much more than expected. Easy 5 stars!

Captain Katie and Jose were amazing!They ensured everyone was comfortable and that everyone knew the sea conditions weren’t the best before we left.Katie and Jose also did a very thorough explanation on how to properly use all of the equipment, get on and off of the boat, etc.They also tended to those who got sick!I highly recommend this excursion, whether you’re a beginner or expert. Super friendly staff and crew. They do everything they can to make sure you are taken care of and having a good time. They do all water sports from snorkeling, SCUBA diving, jet skis, kayaks, you name it.Captain Katie is excellent with kids, and adds an extra fun flair with music, jokes, and dance grooves.All other captains and crew members are also good and know what they’re doing.

I loved my trip. It was my first time driving. I saw beautiful fishes and sharks as well. Really amazing. Had a great time on a snorkeling trip. It was my first time snorkeling and they took us to some beautiful locations and really emphasized respecting and protecting the reef while we were there which I thought was great. I will say, if you get motion sickness easily, take some Dramamine beforehand!

My wife and I spent our 25th anniversary in the keys. We took the sunset cruise and absolutely loved it!! The captain was awesome and was so very informative on local eateries and the history of the area as well as the flora and fauna of the area. We will definitely be back!

He showed me all kinds of cool swim-throughs on the Spiegel Grove I would have never found by myself.We saw a turtle and 2 sharks, had a great time and would highly recommend for new or experienced divers.Everyone on the boat was helpful and nice. Great dive experience beginning to end. Phone customer support was great so thanks to all of them first. Check in procedure and boat set up was perfect. December diving was warm enough for me (and I dont love cold water) with a shorty suit. Beautiful 78 degree day and somewhat calm water. Dive staff was competent, professional and caring about our experience. Special shout out to Mike Cutler for making the day even better. We will be back.

Captain Cutler and Gia were my instructors for my discovery dive and I couldn’t have had a better time. Captain Cutler was patient, knowledgeable and overall just a fun time. I will definitely be coming back to Key Largo just to dive with him and the Pirates Cove crew again!

They were fantastic! I do still want to seethe reef. Supper flexible and understanding! I ha d the date written down wro.g on the calendar and when we missed the trip the scheduled it for the next day. The next day we got stuck in traffic( plan to spend an hour or more on the cosway) and missed the boat again and they still got us on the evening sunset cruz with the credit we had already paid. Chris and Christy were awesome, fun family atmosphere that was fantastic!

Be careful with Manager. He sold the Scuba trip tickets for our kids trip knowing there is rain and later told us the water is extreme rough with 4 ft waves and dangerous for kids. Trip earlier to us 7 out of 9 adults vomited as per the staff. This trip only my family is there. Manager cancelled the scuba trip and he retained 60% the ticket cost. Other staff told that after rain that they will keep only 25% and refund rest but Manager has different ideas to dupe us. While the trainer and other staff are nice to tell the dangerous waves after thunderstorms, the manager is conflicted to do scuba for my kids in the dangerous wave and later cancelled trip.Earlier we called them that day morning and day before and they said we will have smooth ride even with rain forecast. Right after we paid for tickets and after rain he changed tone. He did not tell or provided the ticket breakdown and did not even gave the printout of payment ticket and did not talk about inclement weather policy. With partial refund on his terms he made up breakdown impromptu to cheat us. When challenged he calls us names and call us dishonest for his dishonest actions. He did not treat customer with respect when we ask for fair refund. They spent 30 min training for the supposedly 8 hour whole day activity and refunded only 40% after misleading us.I asked them if i come next time even next day will they waive that training already done and pay remaining for scuba trip directly and the manager does not agree for that also and he says i need full price again. I offered fair price to staff for that 30 min training but he is adamant.Bottom line he did not provide the scuba service we paid for and cancelled with holding most of our money. He knows water will be rough after thunderstorms and still sold tickets. He passed all rain risk to us after misleading us. This company cheated us.We had to drive 2 hours for scuba trip. I advise others to ask for inclement weather refund policy and ask terms and conditions before payment, and also payment paper printout. Next steps: report consumer board; call credit card to dispute the transaction and now get full refund to get scuba service again.

We had a lovely snorkeling trip with Pirates Cove Watersports for a 1 to 5pm trip. Very friendly, making sure wed leave having had a great memorable time. Gave us loads of info, listened to what we wanted to see or do. We wanted to go to the Christ of the Abyss and they made it happen (weather permitted too). They recommended some restaurants at the end to make sure wed have a great experience in Key Largo. Would definitely take more trips with them in the future!

I dont remember the name of the crew. But they were above and beyond on customer service. Even tough we felt seasick and the it was rough conditions, we are very pleased for the excursion. This guys are great! If you wanna have an amazing day choose this company. You wont regret.

Don’t give a lot of 5-stars on here but Captain John and H (he has a real name but nobody knows it) went above and beyond. Over all this is a reasonable family trip. Getting to snorkel and see reef sharks in the ocean was awesome. One tip, by your shirts afterwards because they give you a %10 discount. Again what makes these trips above and beyond is the staff. Best service EVER!! We were scheduled to go on a dive trip and the others canceled 1 hour before our dive due to rough seas. Called pirates cove last minute and they had availability and were able to get us out the molasses reef which is what we wanted to see. It was our 1st dice since certification and Tommy and Kutler were understanding and helped our group with EVERYRGING!!!! Deffently will book with them again.

Great time with Jet Skis. Easy check in (should have been)Would have received 1 more star wasnt for the disconnect between the front desk and dock folks.We checked in inside the building, the lady indicated that the jet skis would be ready in 5mins, after she radios the dock folks. So we paid and signed the waivers.Headed straight to the dock, there was another couple there checking in and the lady at the dock said.. well, its first come first serve and this couple was first, so we will need to wait 45-50mins. HUH?We went back and fourth and the couple was nice to let us go first.Pirates Cove: Please work on that disconnect!!!!

We did a half day snorkel on our honeymoon and had a fantastic time! The winds were high and seas were a bit rough but all the staff were very up front about it being a tough snorkel and we could reschedule if we wanted to hassle free. We decided to try it out anyway and still loved every minute of it. Highly recommend!

This was our first time doing this, we had Capt Boyd and he was the greatest, funny personality and very down to 🌎! My husband won the conch game. Due to covid he wasnt able to blow it. But it was still an experience nonetheless. He went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. We were able to get beautiful sunset pics and to top it off he was able to get some dolphins to swim with us! That really ending our night perfectly... thanks Capt Boyd 💙 we will def be back. We had a fantastic snorkeling excursion. The crew was warm, knowledgable and professional. They were attentive to the safety of their patrons while making every effort to drop us in the best snorkeling locations. We saw sharks, sting rays, barracudas and fish of every variety. Because the time of year, we also saw the stunning portuguese man o war. The crew did a great job warning us of their stings and watching their proximity to the swimmers. I highly recommend this company.

People there will tell you want to hear to.take a tour then unequivocally require masks on site and off on the water in a boat. Trip is extremely expensive for a boat ride. Find a better tour

We went snorkeling on Thanksgiving. It was great. The crew is friendly and helpful. They check in on all the guests and make jokes. It makes the trip fun.I ended up getting sick on the boat. I was so embarrassed. The staff kept checking on me and even brought me water. Overall, I really enjoyed the the trip even though I got sick. This says a lot about the people who run it.

We did a refresher class + 2 dives. Moza was our instructor. It was a great experience. Got to see a nurse shark, lobster, sea turtle, eel, ship wreck. The whole crew was very friendly & super helpful.

Hadrian and Pete were PHENOMENAL!!! I absolutely love this company. Extremely friendly and professional staff. Awesome dive sites and they even provided reef safe sunscreen!! The staff went out of the way to be friendly and tells us all the best spots! They even carried my phone and sunglasses back and forth while I was snorkeling. And to top it all off, they had a shower with shampoo!! I hate the saltwater feeling and we had a 2 hour drive but they let us use the shower and we felt 100x better!!! Amazing people, amazing company!!! If I could leave more stars I would!! Hadrian and Pete are the best!!

2 great dive excursions with this experienced and fun crew. Rental gear was in excellent condition, and the crew was professional and safety-focused while still taking the time to make sure everyone was comfortable and having fun. Captains, divemaster, and guides all have lots of diving and local experience and are happy to share.

Great snorkel trips (2 this week) with first mate Dave, our Captain, and Russ the #blackmanta. We went to Elbow reef one day and Molasses reef another. Both sites were awesome, we saw nurse and reef shark, sea turtle, tons of fish. I would highly recommend them for your Key Largo snorkel or dive trip.

Friendly, funny, professional and Safe.Saw Rainbow Parrotfish, Barracuda and Grey Angelfish. They will try their best to show you what you want to see. Want to see some big scary stuff, tell them and they will take you to your best chance. There are no guarantees in the wild.Also, for everyone else’s sake, don’t be the last one on the boat before departure. But if you are, hustle up!

All excellent with the office, very good and cordial attention, drew excellent guide. The only thing is that the one who receives first to fill out the papers to ride the wave runner seems like he had never seen breasts in his life. staring and unable to speak something uncomfortable. it would be good to find a girlfriend.

The whole staff was professional and knowledgeable. Stayed at the Marriott for new years and went out for the PADI scuba experience. Had a great time and learned a great deal about scuba diving.

We had an amazing time on the Eco tour. We had Captain Boyd as the guide, he was great and very knowledgeable. We were not super lucky with the weather being cloudy and windy but captain Boyd worked his magic. We got super lucky, and got to see couple different hurds of Manatees(few up close) and also saw couple of Dolfins. Captain Boyd was very patient with us and made sure we didnt disturb their natural habitat while we took pictures and were getting close to the manetees, thanks for the awesome trip.

Okay. We started out with the operators taking us that we had to wear masks, with a doc at the current president and then telling us that nothing would happen if we didnt. They gave a few instructions to the newbies but no information otherwise. They just pointed to where we might go. They were more like transporters than anything else. Underwhelming

Had an absolute blast. Crew is very knowledgeable and fun and safety conscious. We snorkeled are two different sites, seeing different fish at each spot. This was our first snorkeling adventure, but not our last! We will be back!! I saw a barracuda! WooHoo!!

We went on a snorkel tour with some of the guys at Pirates Cove. They were INCREDIBLE!! Very intelligent, knowledged guys took us to an amazing snorkel spot in the sanctuary, gave us great instructions, told us a bunch of cool facts, and gave us excellent pointers. When we came back on the boat, they even offered us u cup of water and fresh orange slices! Amazing experience. Dave and I did our PADI open water dive certification with Pirates Cove Water Sports. The boat captains, mates and our dive instructor, Nicole, were all very professional, attentive to our needs, helpful and personable. We particularly appreciated Captain Brian, mate/guide Mike and Nicole. They were all very passionate about their sport and in teaching others to be safe divers.Nicole was an outstanding and patient instructor. Her attention to detail, to skill development and safety were exceptional.After achieving certification, we dove with Pirates Cove Water Sports, on another two tank dive, with Mike as our guide. We were impressed at what he was able to communicate underwater and he actively searched for cool things to show us.We so enjoyed our experience with all of the Pirates Cove staff and would absolutely and preferentially dive with them again. We have already recommended them to my brother and his wife.
