The five star review of this place is well earned. Rolled in without a reservation but they had a couple skis available and had us in the water quickly. Equipment was in great condition and easy to use. Kyle showed us how to operate. He did a good job in explaining the waterways but to be honest by the time we got out there we forgot what he said about the buoys so pay attention! His top priority was that we enjoyed ourselves.Kyle is super nice and we also met the prior owner and her son who are also very friendly. Would recommend a reservation and and wouldnt go anywhere else to have an hour of fun on the water.

A great time and great service. The group ahead of us came back late (and Im pretty sure they damaged the jet skis). But Tropics team was courteous to them, and was able to get two jet skis running to get us out on the water. We took off later than expected, but I cant blame the Tropic team for that. They did the best with the situation they were dealt. Will definitely be coming back.

When we arrived and it was raining but they still accommodated us. The best part of the experience were the two young men working. They made the whole experience from their politeness and service. I was extremely nervous and they explained everything and didn’t seemed bothered when I kept asking the same questions. Will definitely return the next time we are in town.

Had a wonderful time here. Very nice and helpful young man. Received enough instruction where I felt comfortable operating the jet ski. The sargassum is an issue, but it’s an issue everywhere in the Keys and it was easy to clean out the engine. Highly recommend!

Fantastic time. They are a few dollars higher than other places, but reservations are accepted on-line and easy to schedule. Other places are first-come-first-serve. Ski hands at Tropic were friendly and professional. Their Wave Runners and safety equipment is top notch and clean - not beat up and shabby like other vendors. We will definitely go back.

Super fun! We rented two jet skis for an hour from Tropic Water Sports and had a great afternoon! Shawn (from New Hampshire) provided great service and took great care of our group. The jet skis were very nice, ran well, comfortable to ride and easy to drove and maneuver. Highly recommend Tropics for water sport rental and high recommend and afternoon on jet skis in the Atlantic Ocean!

Beautiful place! When we arrived we filled out a quick waiver and got right on the jet skis and headed out. We weren’t restricted to where we could go, we were able to explore as far as we wanted. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Honestly If i could give more than 5 stars I would. The guys here made sure we had the best experience possible. 1 day my wife and i did 2 hours on a jet ski, next day 2 hours on kayak. if you are in the area and are looking for the best experience possibe choose them.

Just finished a one hour jet ski trip. Shawn was so professional and got us checked in and did a great safety run through. We saw 4 huge Eagle rays in the shallow waters. So cool! Had dinner at Snappers next door after. Great afternoon.🦀🐬🏝🍹

This company is incredible. We rented the clear kayaks and of course chose a windy day to go out. Kyle and Tyler helped us out and told us about the mangrove path to avoid the wind. It was gorgeous! On our way back, they came on a jet ski to check on us and make sure we were enjoying ourselves. The winds got too strong and they ended up towing us back. These guys were awesome. Even took photos of us and made sure we got them before we left. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

Excellent experience! First time I tried jet ski but Sunny made it very easy. Detailed explanations on how the machine works and he came with me off shore to make sure everything was fine. I took 1 hour and was able to swap my kids passengers ; ) Shower is available as well.I really recommend this place.

Easy to book and the two hour ride was a fun. The longer you rent the jetskis the more latitude you have on where you go. A few challenges-left messages but staff only called back when they had something to communicate (not in response to my calls), booked four hours and ended up only being two 1/because the system allowed me to book past the closing time 2/they got backed up the day we rented. Customer service between booking and riding was poor. Thankfully they refunded two hours on two jetskis.

I went kayaking in the peaceful mangroves one day with Tropic, in one of their see-through kayaks. I talked to them about not having been able to book a snorkeling trip with a boat and the owner came up with the idea of having Tyler take me out on a jet ski to show me a few spots. Great! I did that the following day. Its not great snorkeling nearby, but I got to jump in and hang with some fish for a while, so I was super happy.This is a very friendly operation, with lots of attention to high quality. The jet skis, kayaks, and even the streamlined life vests are all quite nice. Thanks guys!

Had an amazing 4 hour jet ski experience. Sonny was very accommodating with our reservations and Tyler was an amazing guide. We did not expect to have a guide with us but are so glad that he accompanied us. He gave us free reign of open waters, took us to a nice snorkel spot, led us through some beautiful mangroves and took us to a great spot to dive for lobster (it was mini lobster season). He was beyond friendly and knowledgeable. The machines were in great condition. We can not recommend Tropic Water Sports enough for an amazing day on the water!

Texted these guys around 11 am on a Sunday morning and was on a jet ski at 3 pm (which is right when we were hoping to be out on the water). Nice guys manning the little tiki booth who gave us the instructions we needed to have a blast on the water. The machines were very new and top of the line. Highly recommend.

We had a great time. The guys are very nice. We did both the jet ski and clear kayak. The jet ski experience was amazing. They gave us a very nice seadoo that even had Bluetooth speakers! It was the nicest jet ski rental model Ive ever been on. The Kayak was nice but we should have Kayaked before jet skiing! It is very relaxing though, but dont expect to see to much through the bottom as the water is darker in this area and not the clear blue you see as you go further South towards Key West. They provide water and take and text photos to your phone. Very nice experience. I definitely recommend!

What a nice cool place. Sunny was fantastic, explained the mangrove paths for the crystal kayaks and at some pint came towards us so as to make sure we return safely and avoid the tide. Provided cold water and water coolers. Best thing was the cool shower at the end. Thanks Sunny. Kids had a blast.

I was definitely not a fan of going jet skiing at first lol but I wanted to give it a try because my hubby really wanted to go.Tyler took my number and called us when he had an opening..He took amazing photos of us and Did NOT charge for the pictures!!Sonny Could tell I was nervous and he led us out to calmer waters where we had a blast...I am now a fan and can’t wait to go again

Called me late night the day before my reservations to ask me how I “wanted to resolve” the fact they only had one kayak. Had reserved two 2 person kayaks weeks ahead and found out the night before one had cracked and they only own two. Waste of time and were unprofessional. Unreliable, can’t recommend at all.

We had an interesting visit to Tropic. I was going back and forth between 3 and 4 stars, but went with 3 stars because ultimately we had a good time but dealing with the staff was troublesome.Note: they are on the oceanside, so the seas out past about 1/4 get choppy, especially by the 2 islands you cant go near.First they charge more if you pay by CC, the explanation was that Square charges them, so they charge $10 more per hour if paying by card. No worries, we got cash.Our day started with a 3pm appointment of 2 jet skis. We arrived early to fill out the paperwork early at around 2:45. Cheech kind of looked flustered and went to talk to Chong and I overheard him say they had a party out and would not be able to get us out until 3:40, came back and send they would not be able to get us out until 3:30pm even though I heard 3:40pm. There was no attempt to make us whole or happy until we pressed. We asked if they would give us discount, the answer was no. We asked if we could have more time out, after a bit of back and forth Cheech agreed to give us an extra half hour per ski.We went down the street to Shell World, walked around for a bit and came back around 3:30. At 3:40pm Chong called me to come fill out the paperwork. Went up, they were already helping another customer, waited a few minutes and finally was able to fill out the waivers via their tablet. After all was said and done, I wanted to make sure we had our extra time and he looked at me confused, apparently Cheech did not convey the message. He went back on their word and said he could give us maybe 15-20 minutes but this is highly irregular, but since Cheech said he would do it, he would honor his word.We finally get ready to go, get the skis loaded up and at around 4pm Chech hops on a ski and leads us out to the Buoy to orientate us. He then let us again know we had an hour and to be back at 5pm, to which we questioned him about his original agreement to which he ho hummed and said fine, but that they normally have to get the skis in by 5pm.We went out, had some fun, did our thing for 1:15 minutes and came in. It was pretty choppy past about 1/4 mile. Both our skis had a tendency to pull left. Wasnt terrible as we are both Novice jet ski riders, but somewhat annoying to say the least.When we came in and parked, my wife said something and Chong had a smirk and was like yeah one of them is broken. Gee thanks for telling us.Overall we had fun, but did not experience the customer service that so many others have written about on Google.

Highly recommend this place for jet ski or kayaking. Friendly staff. We took 1 hr rental for jet ski and shared amongst 3 of us at no additional cost. They even brought the 3rd person closer to us while we were skiing and helped us avoid coming to the docking area to switch the 3rd rider.

Sonny and Gwen are amazing! We’ve never been on a jet ski before so we called to schedule an hour ride on the water. Gwen was very informative and excited for us to get us going. She quickly sent the link for a temporary Florida boaters license and it took about 2 hours to finalize. That’s okay because we were soaking in some Florida sun. Sonny was also very informative. He provided us with exceptional service and safety guidelines prior to heading out on the water. We all went out together but he noticed some storm clouds coming in so suggested we get back before it started. After docking the jet skis the rain started. Sonny advised if the rain stops he’ll only charge us for the 30 minute trip. The rain cleared and he circled out an area for us to explore. After 30 minutes he came out and provided an amazing tour of the surrounding water inlets where we got to see the beautiful neighborhood and private boats docked at the houses. We were out for over and hour and he was true to his word. We will be back and we will be visiting Tropic Water Sports again!

I took TOO LONG TO WRITE THIS! Im sorry! This was by far one of the greatest experiences of our trip to Florida. Sonny was beyond friendly and helpful upon arrival and before arrival. The BEST price we found in the keys... and in our opinion they could easily charge more simply based on how enjoyable this was. We were offered complimentary waters, towels, a snack, and anything else we needed before getting ready to take our boating test (we are from Canada). We returned after an amazing ride and snorkel (they provided all the snorkel gear) and were offered a clean t-shirt and fresh towel (the tshirt sonny offered me off of his own back as I didnt bring an extra!). They went above and beyond, we will be back 100%. Hope you read this sonny and remember the Canadian couple with the crazy girlfriend who flipped the ski! hahaha all the best brother.

This place is amazing! We wanted to go Kayakking in the Keys, and we were told Tropic Water Sports is the place to be. We were not disappointed! Sonny (the owner so ive read) was really friendly and guided us to the mangroves to explore, together with his dog on the jetski. He took some photos and films while we were kayakking. We even cold water to go. The gear is all great. If you want to explore the water, do it from this point!Thank you Sonny for this tour!

We rented a couple jet skis and couldnt have been happier with Sonny and his crew. The equipment was in great shape and his hospitality was second to none. We would definitely go again if were back down here.

Sonny is the man. Down to earth and made us feel like long lost friends. Rode for an hour on great machines. Sonny took some great pictures of us riding but also gave us our space to explore! Highly recommend! Water was spectacular, saw a ton of large rays!

Rented 2 jet skis for 4 people for an hour. It was so much fun and there was a good range we could Jet ski within. Jet skis were fast and the rental was easy, including getting a temp boating license. Reasonably priced for the area plus we got an extra 15 min for being Florida residents. Jess was great.

Tropics Water Sports was extremely accommodating. We wanted to do the clear bottom kayaks close to closing time and they were more than happy to have us. Jess was super helpful and even gave us a great recommendation to watch the sunset afterwards. We highly recommend this company as it was a blast and the owner and Jess were amazing. Perfect place to rent from, Sonny is a wonderful host who made us feel very comfortable and cared for. We took a jet ski out for 2 hours and before we were sent on our own to explore, Sonny showed us the best places to ride and stop for some snorkeling. We saw rays, nurse sharks, and a large sea turtle. Highly recommend to all!

What a fantastic little outfit. Jet skis are all almost new, we had snorkel gear provided and to the absolute delight of my boy they even provided a little jet propulsion thing to drag him through the water rather than fins.Jess was the most lovely and helpful person and took us on our little trip, took photos and provided bottles water to refresh and get the salt away. Coming back we had a fresh water shower and towels were provided .Absolutely excellent service and great value for money. I wholeheartedly recommend this little outfit.

Tropic Water Sports is by far the best place to jet ski in the Keys. The owners Sonny and Gwen are super friendly and helpful, but the superstar of the experience was Jess, their employee who accompanies you out. She was warm, friendly and terrific with my nephew and daughter, making them completely comfortable out in the water. We went around two small islands, explored sand bars, swam in clear blue, calm water. We loved it so much, we went twice in two days. We fully recommend this experience for families and make sure to say to Jacques, their lovable Lab!

Took a day trip with my girlfriend and dog to Key Largo; we rented one of the clear kayaks and had an amazing time. Sonny and Gwen were fantastic. He packed a cooler with water including some extra for our dog. Highly recommended. We will be back.

My wife and I rented a clear kayak from these guys and it was awesome! Tyler took great care of us and even came out and snapped some pics! Cool trails through the Mangroves. Beautiful scenery and we saw a ton of fish. Definitely worth it!
