Awesome! This was the most seamless car buying experience that I’ve ever encountered. I applied on line. Got a call from Mitch. Scheduled an appointment to come in. Took a look at their inventory online. Saw a car I liked. Called Mitch and told him the car I was interested in. Came in to my appointment the next day. It was Mitch’s off day but Seth had the car ready for me to test drive when I got there. The car was all that! Mitch and Seth are the BOMB! Very personable and they made feel like more than just “a sale”. I still wasn’t too confident that this would come to fruition though, due to my less than perfect credit situation but Steve made it happen for me and shared some financial tips and tools with me to put me on a path of successfully rebuild my credit. This group is the Dream Team. They put me back in the car that I’m accustomed to driving...I am thoroughly pleased. Will recommend this dealership to others for sure.

My experience with the staff (Marc, Michael and Steven) was amazing! We drove from Detroit, MI to Kent, OH for making the deal on a CX-9. I spoke with Marc and Michael before I decided to drive for 3 hrs. I made sure Michael was well aware of my budget and my needs before he ran the numbers. I was surprised to see how Michael helped me stay in my budget by giving me best deal in the Kent, OH area on the vehicle we really wanted. There are some other dealership who tend to push you into some other car just so that you stay in your budget. I would not hesitate to go and buy another car in the future from this dealership.Customer Service was top notch. No complaints!
Ty was so great to work with ! She is a very genuine and funny person. I felt no pressure throughout the whole deal. I actually bought my car 3 months ago but when I went in for service the other day she walked over and greeted me, I wasnt having the best day but she definitley lifted my spirit and was impressed she took time to say Hello to me with how busy it was. I will definitely be referring her to family and friends. It was a 10/10 experience.

In spite of the horrendous mess of a parking lot, I believe the folks at Mazda of Kent are worthy of 5 stars. After all, while a shiny new showroom would be nice (I understand theirs will be done in September) I was there to see the car and the people. And, in that regard Salesman Marc Wittenberg, Manager Seth Callig and Finance Manager Stephen Colon were solid citizens. They gave me the pricing I wanted on the new car as well as my trade-in. Ultimately, that counts more than the showroom.
I received a letter from an employee from Mazda of Kent (initials S.C) about a bankruptcy specific program. I explained to him exactly where I was in the bankruptcy process, and that I had a co-signer with next to perfect credit as well as a few thousand dollars down. I also explained to him that I was concerned about multiple credit inquiries. I was told that Mazda of Kent would be able to be of service to me. Throughout the process the associate wasnt very responsive, and after 11 inquiries on my credit report, I was told that we had to wait until I received the discharge paperwork. Since they already knew where I was in the bankruptcy process, I felt like the associate was just telling what I wanted to hear to get a sale. I never felt valued as a customer during this process and have a very negative outlook on car salesmen in general as a result of this experience. Im totally fine with the outcome, I would have appreciated being told that from the beginning. I sent over the letter I got from Mazda of Kent to another Mazda dealership, and they told me the same thing S.C told me, immediately.
Purchased a 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata over the internet, contacting Mazda of Kent from my home in New Hampshire. Worked with Seth and Tyana by phone and email. Flew out to pick it up and drive it back (road trip!). It was a very good experience, straight up, no issues or pressure. The car was just as described, and I was on the road in a few hours. Love this car and recommend the dealer.

My husband and I drove down from Michigan, about 3 hours away, to look at a Mazda CX-5 GT. We worked with a few people along the way, all of whom were awesome. I wasn’t to sure I was going to trade in my car. I was just looking. I went to a few dealerships & walked out. Just didn’t get either good customer service or the correct numbers & lastly getting pushed into a vehicle that I didn’t feel good about! I went into Mazda Kent a young man came out & greeted me friendly & relaxed! We worked on numbers for trade in & vehicle I was looking at but just didn’t think it was in my budget & out of my league with all the extra bells & whistles I could ask for! Then another nice man helping with a number I could afford! Gave me a few options & I got test drive a couple more vehicles! Another man joined the party & gave another choice that was a game changer to wear I could get the vehicle I didn’t think I would own & even brand new with 170 miles at a low interest & very affordable payment. I got more on my car trade in & the numbers worked for me. Thanks to all the folks who worked with me made feel it was my choice ! I highly recommend Mazda Kent . Feel relaxed & not forced . He went the extra mile showing us everything about the car even after the sale, and followed up with us to get some light cosmetic scratches taken care of by one of his guys. BE AWARE if you buy a used vehicle it is AS IS. They will not work with you even if it’s the next day that something happens. Paid over $20k roughly a few months ago for a vehicle and already having an issue. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

We recently traded our 2010 caliber with Ryan. We had a little bit of negative equity left and went to 3 other dealers before here. They called the day after I filled out the form to prequalify. They listened to our situation with not having much down, bad credit and still owing on our current car. They were able to get us into a payment that works for us and a safe and reliable car. We ended up going with a mazda 3 which we love. Its a beautiful car. The sales guy Ryan was amazing and spoke to us like humans and not a robot. The entire place was super respectful and wondering with our family. Steven was our financial guy and he did his absolute best to ensure we were taken care of. These guys are heroes without capes. If you need a car, go here. Ser ryan and steven will take care of you. They wont give you a ridiculous payment, they arent gonna set you up for failure. Its worth it. I promise.
Upon entering the dealership, I spoke with Michael about purchasing a new vehicle. Michael went above and beyond in the process of purchasing the vehicle I fell in love with. Steven, the finance manager, also went above and beyond explaining everything in the financing part of the deal. At not one point in time did I feel pressured to bring more money to the table or buy a specific car at all by Michael. I just leased my second Mazda CX5 from this dealership and could not be happier. Everyone at Mazda of Kent works to make this a great dealership from the service department to sales, finance, and management. I came in knowing what I wanted but expecting to have to downgrade due to a change in life and financial circumstances. Instead I walked out with exactly what I wanted and stayed within my budget. I was given options of further upgrades at modest budget increases, but was not pressured to do anything beyond what I was comfortable with. I worked with Tyana, Aaron, Steven, and Jeremy and would not hesitate to do so again.

It all started with multiple letters sent from this salesman name “Michael D.” After leaving several voicemails and not receiving any return calls I decided to look elsewhere.One month later I started doing some research on Mazda history. The symbol and its meaning is what inspired me to shop on Montrose Kent Mazda Website from there I decided to call the number listed on the website and leave a message for this mysterious “Michael D” I received a call back within hours from a sales manager, no not Michael🤣🤣 but a very helpful man who worked with urgency to get me into my New Mazda Sport!
This reviews is for the sales team. I got the feeling right away I was being screwed when I was buying a car last October. Turns out I had over $1000 worth of work in the first two months.If the car you’re looking at is at or below market value something is wrong with it. And in my case they didn’t tell me. I was told multiple people were looking to buy it and I was pressured to buy it that day. Fell for it hook, line, and sinker. I just wish they would have been more straight forward with the issues. That way I could have negotiated price, to balance out the repairs it needed off the lot.Maybe the Mazda dealership closer to Cleveland is better.

Drove 230 miles one way to buy a 2018 Mazda CX5, I asked exhaustive questions and asked for many pictures. When I got there I discovered an obvious dent in the hatch lid. When I asked the sales manager and internet sales associate about this obvious undisclosed flaw they both claimed zero knowledge of it. I find that hard to believe since the car had already gone through their delivery process and detail . If I could see it so could they ? 460 mile round trip wasted.
I bought a 2016 Town&Country last month, I know it’s as is, but when you buy from a dealership you expect them to do at least a multi inspection. The car came with no spare tire or the tools for it. Today I noticed the car is shifting hard when you drive, I took it to the dealership and they said it needs a relearn and flash because the fluid is dirty, and it’s going to cost me around $500-$700.Very bad experience and I don’t recommend this dealership for a used car
Purchased a brand new 2019 MX-5BEWARE: My experience at Montrose Mazda Kent appeared to start off on the right foot, but then ended on a much lesser note. As an out-of-town buyer, I would advise anyone from purchasing from Montrose Mazda in Kent. My experience is outlined below:RE: Sales. My experience in working with Chris (Sales) and Shane (Sales Manager) started positively but ended poorly. I didnt negotiate the purchase price as they had already discounted off the MSRP, however I asked for the appearance package at a discount, which they agreed. Once we agreed to a price, I promptly placed a deposit over the phone and we agreed to a delivery date (and time). I purchased a plane ticket to pick up the car and kept them up to date on my arrival time. Heres where it started to fall apart.1) Promised Accessories. Unfortunately after arriving at the dealership to pick up my car, they told me they were only able to install 1/3 of the appearance package because the parts werent delivered (shouldnt they have check availability/delivery prior to agreeing to purchase and delivery?!?). They only charged me 1/3 of the price, however for me to get the remainder parts installed it was going to cost me quite a bit more because my local dealer in Florida wants full price for products and install. The net $ impact to me is an additional $500. Montrose Mazda didnt put any effort in trying to help me complete my purchase.... they basically wrote me off after I left the dealership.2) Finance. I had a schedule of arrival and kept the dealer up-to-date on my arrival hours and minutes in advance. After arriving, the car wasnt ready and I ended up waiting two hours to get into finance. I had a long drive back to Florida and was anxious to get going before it got dark out and the roads getting icy. They had all my information and I shared with them my intent was to get in and out pretty quickly - but that didnt appear to be important to them. Thats fine, just annoying.3) Detail. The car was also VERY poorly detailed - I wouldnt trust them detailing the car - and Montrose Mazda actually acknowledge this themselves. The interior still has white tape on it (see pictures) and they used a protectant on the dash that I dont believe was appropriate for the material. I think they have a high school kid responsible and he doesnt have any clue on what rags/products to use on the car.4) Delivery. There wasnt one. I was basically given the keys and shown my car in the parking lot. Actually - I cant even find the valet key as I dont believe they gave it to me.Having recently purchased cars at BMW (2015 M4) and Land Rover (2017 Discovery), this dealer feel flat in comparison. I wish they would have been up front with me on the accessories (I would have waited), been a little more diligent in getting me in/out of finance, and had the car property detailed for owner delivery.

I bought a car from them three years ago and the salespeople refuse to stop calling me with new sales pitches - even though Ive asked multiple times to be removed from their list and have repeatedly informed them I live in a completely different part of the country now. I didnt have a bad buying experience but frankly I would never recommend them now; the calls are obnoxious, pushy, and unwanted.
Today’s ability to shop online and obtain upfront pricing for new vehicles and (trade-ins) is appealing. But the true deciding factor is still superior customer service. My recent car buying experience at Montrose Mazda of Kent inspired this review. And by the way…I don’t do many reviews.Like many of us…I sent the same email to three Mazda Dealers giving them my contact information, the car of interest, and my trade-in vehicle information. I figured all would reach out via email, text or phone that day. All three fired back an email, but only ONE reached out to follow up…Montrose Mazda of Kent.The professionalism of the salesman, Marc Wittenberg and the rest of the Team from finance manager, trade-in manager to GM were all commendable. I talked back and forth with a dealer for 2 days about buying a used car. We talked about price, features, etc. I told him I would come out at a set date and time to buy the car. I was coming from PA (about a 2 hour drive). The salesman sold the car to another customer AS I WAS DRIVING TO THE DEALERSHIP. He didnt even have the guts to tell me himself, so he had an associate call me 15mins before our appointment to inform me the car was sold. So I drove 2 hours one way for nothing. Would never do business with anyone like this again.
As an out of town buyer, Micheal took care of everything for me and made me feel at ease. He made sure everything was good on his end while I was able to tie things up on mine (financing and insurance). Michael was quick to respond with any questions. I would drive back to Montrose Mazda for another vehicle. It was hoot driving the MX-5 back home!

From letting me drive the car back to work to get a feel of the vehicle to working with me on my trade and financing to make a deal I was comfortable with. Very low pressure and enjoyable car buying experience. I even got a call the following day asking me if I had any questions and concerns, not an email or text, a real phone call.....what is it the 80 s again? If this is any indication of how they do all facets of their customer service this should be a great relationship.

Not even a full month of having the Ford Focus SE that I purchased and it had a transmission malfunction while in the middle of me driving it and almost caused me to get into a very bad accident. When I called the dealership the MANAGER told me it was nothing he could do about it until the next day and that I WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO GET IT TOWED because they didn’t have a tow company. I STRONGLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP.
Only interacted with the parts department and they were fantastic and efficient. Very helpful and accommodating. Held my parts for 3 extra days. (Transmission parts) Highly recommend.

Hey Guys! Let me tell you about my experience. I had shopped at no less than 5 other places and got the old runaround that one expects from car dealers. Not so here! My salesperson Joby Bacher really listened to me. He communicated with me over time. When I showed up at the dealership Joby put me in the exact match for me. At the price point I wanted. With the features I requested. His manager Tom was professional and was able to work with me. Right where I needed him to be. If you are in the market for a new or used vehicle, Go to Montrose Mazda in Kent. Ask for Joby. You will walk out happy.

It is with regret that I must write a negative review against Montrose Mazda of Kent. I recently purchased a used 2019 vehicle from them remotely over the internet. The dealership was great to deal with it, and I was and am extremely happy with my purchase.But a few nagging issues have soured an otherwise great experience.First and foremost, I specifically asked M.D. Sales Manager to have the vehicle cleaned. I was told it would be cleaned. It clearly was not. Stains on the visors, grime in the trunk, even playing cards from the previous owners. These are not permanent damages inherent in used cars. These are issues that would have come out with even average cleaning. In this time especially that should have been done and I have Lupus which makes this even more important to have been done.Second, there was a chip in the windshield. So my new (to me) car now needs immediate maintenance. No cost to me via my insurance, but frustrating none the less. And finally, the car had 100 miles more on it when I received it than the reported mileage when I bought it. Not a problem, but certainly odd.My biggest frustration was that during the purchase process, when the dealership was seeking my money; communication was constant. Not pressuring, but consistent. Now that they have my check?... weeks with no resolution to my emails, calls and texts to M.D. Sales Manager and J.E. Managing Partner. These are my primary issues with this dealership. They sold me a great product with a small list of minor shortcomings. But not responding at all, or making an effort to fix things days after a sale really leaves a bad taste in this consumer’s mouth.Edited to include resolution to 1 of the 2 above issues:The dealership paid to have the vehicle cleaned, I am happy with the outcome of that particular issue.I’d say overall had I not just spent $980 on all four rotors and brakes, I would have completely deleted the review I left and made a new review of being satisfied. I should not have had to spend close to a grand for new brakes and rotors on all four, on a vehicle that is new to me. I’m extremely disappointed in this dealership. This is not just a matter of not doing what you said you would, this is now a matter of putting thousands of lives at risk. I knew my brakes needed to be done as soon as I first drove the vehicle once it arrived. The rotors and brakes had an overwhelming amount of rust and only a quarter of the pad on all tires were even touching the rotors. This is according to Infiniti of Colorado Springs. I had no idea it was bad enough that this was a safety hazard but I am not surprised.If you choose to purchase a vehicle with this dealership, take it to a trusted mechanic prior to purchase and make sure to put everything you’ve requested they do, in writing.
