This shop is the BEST! Customer service, integrity, kindness, high quality work! They treat you like their family! I happened on their shop while I was in Kent for a meeting. My car started acting up and I knew I could not ignore it and get on the freeway to go home. I stopped in at the park and ride across the street to figure out what to do next. I looked across the street and there they were. What a Godsend! The mechanics were on lunch, so I camped out. Watching Tony and Tad work with the people who were in line before me was a eye opening and heartwarming experience. I ended up asking them if I could use their microwave to heat up my lunch and I was welcomed to eat my lunch in their waiting room while we chatted. In the end, the crazy noise my car was making disappeared without them actually doing anything to it! I was happy to have them do an oil change for me, as they had been so kind. If you are in this area and need car work done, I advise you to go see the guys at Lloyds. You might not just walk out with your car fixed, but also with a renewed sense of belief in the goodness of humankind. Thank you guys for treating me like family when I least expected it!

Absolutely the best. The staff is phenomenal. As a single mom I wanted a mechanic I know I could trust that isn’t as money hungry as a dealership. This place is exactly that. After they diagnose they’ll let me know what I can wait on to fix, or what needs immediate attention. It might not be much to look at, but they do excellent work. They’re TRUSTWORTHY and kind. Ive been going to Lloyds since 1991 for all my car fixes and maintenance, even though I live 20 miles away now. I found them by accident and they were very up front and honest and still are.They fixed a simple ongoing issue that I had been going to the dealer for on multiple occasions. It was so simple, they didnt even charge me. The Dealer had taken hundreds over several months, never fixing it.My parents have been using them since then too. Tony is super friendly and knowledgeable.

We have taken our cars to Lloyds for service for years, even after moving out of the area. I trust them and they have ALWAYS treated us well and fairly, and have NEVER done work that wasnt necessary. I have scanned the reviews and think those few who gave low stars must have the wrong shop (and one poor fellow sounded like his spark plugs arent all firing :-)). Tony and his crew are very kind and professional. There are a couple other shops on the same block of Military; perhaps those low stars should belong to one of them - although I dont want to give anyone a low star they dont deserve. I recommend Lloyds without reservation!

From the phone call to the actual service being done, Lloyds is hands down the best mechanic shop Ive ever been to, amazing customer service, it was a pleasure meeting Shelly and Tony. Teddy the mechanic did a great job on my car, prices are affordable, and when I was there I felt really comfortable, as though I were in great hands, thats because I was. Thanks to all at Lloyds.

Its sad that competitors are spamming this wonderful shop with deceptive 1 star reviews. You can look at a number of these reviews by people who have only one review to their name and a false name (such as two letters) and quickly determine which reviews are from competitors that are making up false stories about the wonderful service this shop provides. Ive been doing business with Lloyds for over 2 years and they have the highest ethics, the best in-shop standards and procedures and are part of the most prestigious industry associations. You cant get to their level without being a superior shop with great customer service. If you see a one star review, check out the person who left it. Youll quickly find out who created an account just to leave a false review.

This place is superb! I came in the other day because my trunk wouldn’t close. I thought I had to replace the whole latch. Tony however not only saved me $200, he was quick too. He took apart the trunk latch lock mechanism and fixed the issue and put it all back together, I would highly recommend this shop and ask for Tony!

Huge gratitude to the guys at Lloyd’s. A panel came loose when we were driving on the highway. We pulled off and saw their sign. We were greeted with a friendly smile and a kind “how can we help you.” I didn’t even finish my sentence and they jumped up to help. Took 10 min and $10 to get us on our way. Our two little ones didn’t even wake up through the fix. So quick!! So kind!! Great people!!

They have never failed to solve my problems. I have never felt like I was sold anything that I didnt need. I trust Lloyds for all my auto service needs, no matter how big or small. And they always have time to explain everything they do.

Horrible experience. They lied to me about my brakes being worn out and tried to get me to buy new ones. There was still over half the life of the brake pads left. Can’t trust them, I would never go back. Theyll tell you your car needs $2000 in repairs every time you go. A friend of mine said they did the same thing to them. Avoid these dishonest people, I hold on to my wallet when I drive by.

Dont go there, their labor rate is more expensive then dealership (check). If they need to find where is problem they told me can be no limit...that means they can do all day . I check with Toyota and their max. amount is $300 which is reasonable. They just need your money . If you read their reviews they are always right. Wrong . Never go there. They dont try to put my name and last name correct. Just knock their door going to cost you $ 116.00 . hahahahaha I learn lesson.

Great place to get your car fix excellent customer service. I have been there twice the 1st one was my acura had issue with oil change and other issue they checked every detail and charge way less than acura dealer quote me since then my car runs great. I will recommend others to bring their car this place they know how to fix.

Took the car in to replace a head gasket, after picking up the car, the same problems started again so had to take it back. They had my car there for 2 weeks twice. They then stopped answering my calls. I drove down there to find out what was going on and it had sat there the first week without anyone touching it. When I finally was able to pick the car back up they left greasy foot prints on the carpet. When I showed it to them, they told me it was like that when it came in. I would not recommend this place, it was a nightmare.

I took my 1967 Ford pickup to Lloyds, and I cant say enough good things about them. Theyre experienced, fair, and honest. And they know how to work on a 1967 Ford F100, when most mechanics these days cant even figure out how to start one.No one likes paying to have your car fixed. But when it becomes necessary you hope to find a mechanic who is knowledgeable and honest. The reviews I read where people are upset that the actual repairs came in higher than the estimate make me shake my head in wonder. Mechanics dont have a crystal ball or x ray vision. If youd rather have a mechanic fix only the parts they estimated, and ignore anything else they find, then you need to take your car elsewhere. I personally want to know about anything additional that they find, and If I decide to have those additional issues repaired, I trust that Lloyds will repair it correctly and for a fair price.

I talked to this guy about fixing my air conditioner. He tried to tell me that if I did not get my air conditioner serviced regularly that it would cause the lines to become clogged. He either thought I was a woman and I would not know or he does not know what he is talking about. I went to a different shop and my lines were not clogged.

Checked in for Wheel alignment services on my Honda Pilot. Originally quote for a flat fee of $89.95.The shop then charged additional of 19.95 for aligning a back gear wheel. Manager/Tony justified that the 89.95 as quoted was for the front *wheel alignment only*. Font wheel alignment only?I?I?I?I?Folks...............judge yourself for this type of untrustworthy services. Be very and very carefully with the services there.I, for one, have no confidence with the services and absolutely never come back again.

Very professional and fast service.

I had my car towed there after my engine stopped running. My motor had ended up seizing. They walked me through what was wrong with the car, and I was was able to leave the car there for the day to get things figured out. I left and on my way home I received a call from Tony and he said he called the dealership and that my motor may be under warranty. I had it towed to the dealership the next week day and sure enough I got a new motor. If it were not for Tony I would have just towed my car home and looked to dispose of it. He went the extra mile for me to no benefit to him or his company and I am extremely grateful, saved me from needing to buy a new car. Would totally trust them with my vehicles in the future.

Work was done in a timely manner

I first discovered Lloyds Automotive as I was searching for smog certification sites near my home that I moved into almost 2 years ago. I had been taking my vehicles to another mechanic in Sumner for 7 + years, and felt that it was time for me to utilize a business in/near the community where I now live.Initially, my vehicle did not pass inspection, but they were quick to disclose that it was because my fuel cap was not closed securely. They informed then that I had to wait 24 hours as per inspection protocol before it would allow a passable re-test. I did, it passed and they took care of me very well, explaining everything along the way. Im already aware how most of this works, I just dont wrench my vehicles anymore as Ive gotten older. I appreciate their integrity.Another incident that I witnessed while I was there caught my attention quite significantly. One of their employees was walking through the process of the installation of a Smart Start device, which is a Breath Test type of device for those that have been convicted of Driving Under the Influence. The patience, dignity, and respect which they showed to this individual really caught my attention. They were serving this customer to regain something that he had lost, even if as a consequence of his own actions. They did not treat customer with judgement, nor condescension. I dont know about you, but such things matter to me. I made it a point to complement them personally on the actions that I had just witnessed, and their comment was that all deserve dignity and respect.Ive taken both of my vehicles to them over the past 18 months and have seen this behavior to be quite consistent. I was in there yesterday to have both of my front power windows repaired; a master switch on the drivers side, a regulator on the passenger side. This was the first time my wife had accompanied me as we dropped off my car. My wife noticed as we entered the waiting area how clean the office was, as well as the shop. She commented later on how professional the staff and the facilities appeared.I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is need of their services, and would like to support small, privately owned businesses in the immediacy or proximity of their own community.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. My husband took my car in to have some work done on it and was blown away at how rude they were and how long it took. I would NOT recommend.

HONEST.....UNDERSTANDING....GOOD BUSINESS.I have multiple cars I take to this shop ranging from a old 93 Explorer to a nicer Lexus LS460. They have helped me with emissions, ac issues, regular oil changes, wheel baring, etc.Its hard to trust mechanics because your car cannot talk to you (at least mine cant say full words lol). But....Llyods Auto Clinic has given me the freedom to not feel pressured into doing more than what is needed. They still give me recommendations and options when I come in, but if its not a safety issue they will explain a timeline to prepare me for the work that will eventually need to be done later in time.I appreciate them, their staff, their honesty.Its hard to find that kind of quality in a shop now a days. (heads up, this isnt like a 5 star resort with swimming pools and flamingos, but they treat you well and they do their work! Its a car shop, they should have a little grease and oil around!). Loyal LLoyds customer for many years. My dad went there since he moved to the Kent area and naturally I took my truck there all through high school and college. Tony is fabulous to work with and is an honest and ethical mechanic. Never tries to over sell services, and will do whatever he can to work with you. He even offered to drive my truck out to enumclaw to swap his loaner with me while I was at the fair for a week. I have moved and I truly miss having a go to mechanic! I recommend Tony to anyone I meet who needs car help. He did a ton of work on my truck. Even offered a free pre trip inspection 6 months later before my long drive to Oklahoma! Had to redo the master cylinder, catalytic converter, and much more. LOVE Tony and LLoyds! If you ever need car help this is your place!

I went to this place by mistake a couple of months ago and it was a real mistake . I was charged way to much for my water pump and it took 3 days. Now my water pump is leaking again. I am going to go somewhere else so I am not without my car for 3 days for a 3 hour job. It also took a couple of hours for me just to clean the grease out of my car.

I have taken several of my cars to Lloyds numerous times. Some of my cars have had simple problems (broken gas cap that would not unscrew & broken rearview mirror) to complicated problems that would resolve even after 8-10 hours worth of troubleshooting (overheating van/radiator malfunctioning). I alway found Tony to be honest, straightforward and was NEVER eager to gouge me or to be opportunistic. Tony was happy to take-on repairs that involved my extended warranty with one of my cars. Recently, he referred me and one of my cars to a transmission specialist because the car was lurching, had a computer code suggesting a problem with the transmission and because there was debris in the transmission. Tony referred me to the right person. Tony counseled me about potential problems and roadblocks that I might expect with the warranty compnay being oppositional. I am convinced that Tony and Shelly care about me and the upkeep of my vehicles.

Speaking about going above and beyond to help a distressed motorist.My motorhome lost its break passing through Seattle. I wound up in Lloyds after the big RV shop across street couldnt take me due to overbooking. Tony was not able to work on the break because he did not have the parts. However, he spent the next 30 minutes making several calls to find a commercial truck unit of a dealership who also repairs motorhomes. Upon my departure Tony draw a map and made sure Id be able to get to the repair shop. Bless your heart.

I recently moved out to Des Moines from Shoreline area and was looking for a local mechanic.Id been having some problems with my truck and didnt have the time or knowledge to fix them on my own; My speedometer and odometer went out and werent functional- I tried a few things myself such as replacing the VSS on the transmission, but that didnt work, so I went to a junk yard and picked up a spare instrument cluster from a truck of the same model and year, but didnt install it because I couldnt. So I ignored it for a while, but I decided Id get it fixed now.I went in last week, talked to Tony and he was very professional and nice, we talked about vehicles and he gave me a few pointers and said hed be able to take a look at it and fix it.I made an appointment earlier this week to see him today, I went in this morning, talked to Tony and the tech about the issue, the tech then went and took my truck for a drive, giving an overall diagnostic and seeing how things were working. After that they took it in the shop and began examining what they found and checking out the components in the system.We found that the part I had installed, I didnt install it correctly, so that was part of the problems, they fixed that up, but it still didnt work. Tony asked if it was okay to proceed and replace the cluster, because the time had already exceeded what they quoted me; I gave the go-ahead.They then took out my dash, plugged the new instrument cluster in, replaced the backlights for it and verified it was working before installing everything back to the way it was. They put it back together and it looks perfect, everything works great and it even fixed a problem with my cruise control not functioning properly.After that, we went over the paperwork, talked about what happened, and they gave me the results of the inspection; I paid my bill and was on my way.Tony and his crew are great people, very nice, fast, and knowledgable in their trade. Id recommend this place to somebody who needs work done on their vehicle, hes not going to rip you off, and Tony will give an honest answer about whats going on with your vehicle. A++
