Just did a road trip and now have logged more than 7 thousand miles since Mark replaced head gaskets plus replace pistons and rings. Mileage increase to 27 miles to a gallon which is good because they recommended I use premium grade of gas. Im pleased I went to East Valley Auto Repair. They really know their stuff!! So far so good, Mark(Subaru Guru) has given me an honest opinion that matches 2 other opinions Ive been given. So far he has given the best quote for the job and promised the best results for the outcome. Its time to trust the world and what its given me. Ill give a final outcome when that happens. But for now, this place is legit. Im still sceptical. First mechanic, Ive tried to trust in the Seattle area. Any rebuild is sketchy and pricey.

Mark is aptly named the guru for a reason. Took care of me in one day out the other and Ross has treated me like a brother from day one. Been servicing my Subaru needs for some time, have all the tools and certified Subaru techs .. and he beats the pants off the dealer!

Got an estimate to have engine rebuilt for $7k. Came to pick up my car and the bill was over $9k. They never informed me that the bill was going up this much but because they had already done the work I had no choice but to pay it. I wouldnt have had them do the work had they told me this price upfront.

Stay away. They install old used parts on vehicles and steal your new parts. Crooked as hell. They also did the same thing to my bother. Also missing parts from my car now. That shouldnt be missing.

I went in for an engine tune for my Subaru 05 and it was done. On the way away from the shop check engine light came on and multiple sensors needed replacements. Before I took it to the shop, the check engine lights were off. I am not sure why the light turned on, or what caused it, might be terrible timing. This is my experience. Staff is helpful and the owner is a good guy whos always there to listen. I could not afford $100 to run a diognostic to see why the check engine light turned on after the tune. Not sure what to do from here, but Google asked me to write a review, so here I am.

I had a pretty unique vehicle that I had exclusively been taking to the dealer I purchased it from for years, and had become unhappy wth thier shddy servce and overpricing. I found them when i was looking for a subaru specialist and they are amazing. the shop i had my car at before was ripping me off with labor cost and for parts but these guys got me in and took care of it.

This place has built some really amazing Subaru project cars, and employs some talented people! They are well worth checking out if you need a shop that can handle engine swaps, custom tuning, wiring harness conversions, turbo builds, and more.

This isnt really a review as it is just general info for any random person searching for a shop to rebuild their motor. This shop, as of now, only deals with Subaru. So, if youve got a Subaru, give this guys a ring. If not, youre gonna wanna go elsewhere.
