Took in car for pre purchase inspection for my 16 year old daughters first car. Mark advised me of minor issues but all in all said it is a great car and encouraged the purchase. After having it a month there was issues, took it to my local mechanic and turns out the head gasket is leaking!! They even asked if we could take the car back!! Nothing Mark included in his inspection was even an issue (I took the paper in for them to fix as well). Absolutely heartbroken about this as I had entrusted Do Rite Auto Repair to avoid this very issue. Do not recommend!!!
Good customer relationship had an emergency took care of it right away got me back on the road in a timing manner.
This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with an auto repair shop. I scheduled an appointment because an engine light came on my dashboard saying I needed to replace the timing belt and I figured I would get an oil change if I was going to do all this work on my car. I made an appointment for a diagnosis of the issue and get a quote of the work. I drop my car off at 8 in the morning and asked Mark to give me a ride to work down the street and said he wanted to test drive the car anyway so it was perfect. A few hours later I get a quote. They were going to charge me $80 for an oil change and then a total of $1400 for the work. I wasnt convinced so I called some other places and found a dealership that was going to do the work for $1000. So I called Mark to pick up my car saying I didnt want to do any of the work and wanted to pick up my car. I get to the shop and they say my car is almost ready and they are just about done with oil change. I am confused as I didnt authorize any work and specifically said I didnt want anything done. Being frustrated at the situation, I again told him I didnt sign any quote or authorize any work to be done on my car other than the diagnosis. Mark begrudgingly says fine and lets me take my car without paying for the work I didnt authorize. A few weeks later and I get a ticket for running a right light in the mail. Confused, I looked up the date and time and it turns out that on the way back from dropping me off at work, Mark had run a red light with my car and now I have to pay a ticket for it. I called Mark to inform him of what he did and ask him to pay the ticket because he was the one that ran the light. After jogging his memory of who I was he says, I dont recall running a light, but you refused to pay for the oil change so I guess we are even. I couldnt believe it. The worst professionalism and the dirtiest/cheapest auto shop I have ever seen. Absolutely horrible. So much for Do Rite.
Awesome service and very affordable. The owner is a very kind man who would give the shirt off his back for someone in need. After I wrecked my truck he worked night and day to get her fixed, he even worked the weekend. This is a shop with a big heart and their aim is to do people right. I wont ever go anywhere else.
Beware..took my car to get my brakes change about a month ago was told it needed a bunch of other stuff. Car was kept over the weekend and while dethawing the car because it froze they broke a censor and charged me an extra 200$ to re place it... when I picked up my car the abs light was on.yesterday it started making scraping metal noises when turning took it in 4-19 at around 12 was told it would take a few hours to get it checked out just went and picked it up today 4:20,4:30pm and they still dint even test drive it to see what the problem was some business they got..
My family and I have been going to Mark (DoRite owner) for auto repair for years now. He is the only mechanic I trust to work on my BMWs. He is extremely passionate, extremely knowledgeable, a good listener, considerate and professional. I have mechanical experience myself because I have worked on my own cars my whole life, and the owner of DoRite is the only mechanic I have met locally that can carry an authentic conversation with me about real repairs, instead of trying to lie his way into my wallet. If you want someone you can trust to get it done right, go to these guys.
Worked in fleet management in the Seattle area for 5 years, I am familiar with a lot of shops in the area. Mark is hands down the best. He was recommended to me by a friend of mine whos been a mechanic (and local to the area) for 20 years. The key fob for my trunk didnt work and I was quoted anywhere from $300-$500 to fix it. Do rite did it for 1/4 a labor hour. They could have easily put .5, or charged one hour - but they didnt. Its unfortunate, but its rare to find that honesty anymore. They easily saved me $250 bucks right there. They do good work quickly, are honest, transparent, and educate you about your car. Not sure why you would go anywhere else.
I had auto start put in my ford pu they said that it would take 2hr at the most kept calling he said he still working on it after 2 days i got charged $700 an the job was not complete the lock an unlock did not work I had to finish it the co. i bought it from said it should have never taken long i think I chould get some money back
On time, and I was surprised at the price. Less than quoted at ford.
I had issue with ignition key, within steering column. It was a small pin to replace, about $600. The turn signals do not work like they have for 17 years, so I go back in to have them look at it, something stuck, whatever. The mechanic looked at it a bit, told me this is Per Factory for it to not the signal to shut off until 3/4 turn to the left and 1/4 turn to the right. I went along with his big lies, made him feel that I believed him. The front desk guy, Mark, called me up to chew me out for my attitude, there was none. I know a difference in how something works after driving it for years.I replaced the turn signal switch, works the same, so it is something that they did wrong putting it together. Furthermore, the steering wheel is about to come off. Im wondering if the air bag is about to pop off in my face at any moment. Total losers at this place, I paid for far, far too much, for horrible work, horrible people in there, at least for what they did for me.
Very unprofessional. brought my car in and it sat for a week. Tried to over charge me 485 dollars for a part that cost around 60 dollars and left my window down the whole time and it rained got my car back with a pool of water in the drivers door and
I got great service here. The owner is very knowledgeable and gets straight to the point. My car was having trouble starting and the engine was sputtering and stalling, and it was instantly recognized that my alternator was failing. All the places I went to before had assumed it was the battery. My vehicle was repaired in a timely manner and now runs right as rain. Highly professional, I absolutely recommend this place for your automotive problems.
Dave and his team are a group of spot on individuals. Coming from a very rural area, Ive come to love independently owned shops. Moving out to the a larger area, its been much harder to find a reliable mechanic that isnt a huge chain.Dave not only reminded me of home, he treated me in such a friendly and hospitable way that I could have sworn I was back home at the local shop in upstate NY. He gave me a fair quote, got me in on an emergency right away, and when he found out he needed a new part he still go me out within quote within 24 hours.I will definitely be returning again when the need arises, and would recommend anyone else to do the same.
Exhaust leak from a tiny hole between the manifold and cat converter. Charged over 400 to weld it shut. A bit pricy in my opinion for a basic welding job but saved me from buying a new cat converter! Iβd recommend this shop if the price isnβt dropping anywhere else. The owner seems like a good guy.
Excellent service, owner was more than helpful. My car was broke down in his parking lot the owner of do rite called the part store and made sure to order the part and then gave me a jump once it was fixed. Thank you do rite muffler.
I was needing a new muffler bad! The old one fell off and it was causing lots of other issues. These guys were clear with my options and took great care of me. The job was done on time and thats important! Fair price, job done on time, great service. 5 stars is the only option for this place!
I was very satisfied with the professionalism, honesty and the new owner Mark working with my budget. I will definitely continue to do future business with this shop!

Gosh! See my Yelp review! Its almost too long to redo. .your glowing review!Dave, Guy, Steve and all you guys there at Do-Rite....These guys took me in as a broken down 29 Beaver coach, two weeks ago when I broke down in Kent, 12/2/16, and ended up in their parking lot over the weekend. Fortunately, it was only a clogged fuel filter, and they had me on my way Monday afternoon.I was so impressed with their reputation as exhaust specialists, I scheduled a muffler and pipe replacement with Guy Thomas, for my journey back to Oak Harbor, on 12/15/16. He had me out by closing. Then, through NO fault by Do-Rite, my fuel filter of 2 weeks, clogged up again when I left their shop and I had to spend another night in Kent, so they could look at it again today. They practically dropped everything to accommodate my 29 Beaver intruding in their small parking lot for another day while they replaced the fuel filter again.I cant say how much I appreciate their generosity and customer service toward me!They made my vacation to CA bearable, even though I never made it to CA, I met some wonderful new friends, whom I plan to take my rvs 1983, 454 Chevy engine and motor to, whenever it may need work. (Providing THEY want me back!)It is with GREAT pleasure, I give this review.Lauren Becker
Ive used these guys for over 12 years since they were at the other shop in Kent they are the only exhaust shop I will trust and now for mechanic shop you get what you pay for it and knowing youre not going to get ripped off and youre going to actually get what you pay for it and you need what they say you need is definitely worth every penny you dont have to worry when they say you need this done you definitely need it done a lot of shops will take your money and not do anything or just screw you over Ive never had an issue with them might just quoted me $500 to repair my exhaust on my 1995 Honda of course I should have took it to do right first guy had me in and out in less than an hour and it was way over half what I was quoted anywhere else awesome shop awesome new owners why go anywhere else
One of the best I have ever dealt with. Dave and his team are thorough, honest and always treat me right. As a former shop owner myself, I am happy with the service they provide.
This was my first service outside of the dealership and they did an amazing job and were very helpful and friendly. Keep it up guys!
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else
Totally up-front and honest, with very fair pricing; Im not from the area and so glad a coworker recommended them!
Have been good to me. They did things for me, that they really didnt have to do. Saved me from not haveing a car and it being towed out of there shop. Thay really are cheap and affordable I really do recommend this place for car work trust me when I say they are the best
Had problems with truck overheating pulling trailer. After extensive (several hours mechanic time) testing, they determined nothing wrong with system; trailer too much for truck. That was 6-months ago and time has proven them right. Im from out of town, not likely to return, but was treated VERY fairly on charges! You can trust these guys on ability AND charging. They may not be cheapest on everything, but you get what you pay for; peace of mind!
They are so fair honest and helpful!
My 03 Monte Carlo started having a really hard time accelerating and going up hills. After I had just replaced my fuel pump I figured that wouldnt have been the issue, leading me to believe my catalytic converter was clogged. I then called up Do Rite Auto Repair and brought my car down early in the morning the next day before the opened. I received a call shortly after they opened from the guys at the shop just wanting to keep me updated on: how they would test to see if the catalytic converter needed to be replaced, what they found after the test, and approx. how much it would cost to perform the work. They were able to get everything done in the afternoon before I got off from work and the total they charged me was even less than what they originally quoted! Everyone at the shop was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, I will definitely bring my car down to them whenever I need work done. I highly recommend them to anyone especially if your like me and have a hard time trusting some shops.
A family owned and operated business that is trustworthy and experienced. Their only problem is their popularity!
Very friendly people to work with. I took my car there a few times for different things, cost less than if I took it to the dealer to fix. love the service
Great mechanics and a honest owner. I recommend this place to everybody who has car problems and needs a honest shop to go to.
FYI... I called... they quoted me a price, for an alternator job. I called Buckys off of Pacific Highway South (Federal Way/Kent)... went to Buckys.SAVED $125
Great work!
Met the owner of the shop last week and asked for some help on an issue. I ended up waiting 20 minutes and just stared at me as he helped other customers. I was not impressed by his customer service at all. This is the first thing I look at . I ended up walking away and going to another auto shop down the street. I do not recommend them at all.
Fast and fair. Jobs done rite.
Great service, knowledgeable staff and reasonable rates! Would come back again.
Out of touch pricing. Stay away. Very expensive quotation. Seem high overhead.
Wow
Awesome
