I visited on Friday 9/24 for a regular (no gel) mani/pedi/blowout. I selected the Aveda peppermint pedicure option and was asked to select a nail color while seated. Ive received this same service here before so Im familiar with the process. She asked why I don’t want gel on my toes so I explained. I then picked out the polish colors and she told me, thats gel only. So why give me gel color options if you knew I couldn’t use them? When I asked if they had a color similar in regular polish,she said no. I thought to myself Really? I didn’t select an odd color. I noticed she wasnt using any peppermint lotions and barely massaged my feet or legs.When I sat down for the manicure, I asked if she used this lotion (pointing to the one she was using on my hands which was Aveda’s plain moisturizer) and she said yes. So, now I know there must have been a miscommunication about my upgrade selection, especially when I didnt think there was anything different than pedicures Ive had there before and it definitely wasnt up to the standard of any pedicures Ice received in the past. I go every 2 months so Id say Ive had quite a few in my life. I was asked yet again why I dont get gel. The manicure was performed at the bare minimum and took 20 minutes. 3 days later it looked like I hadnt gotten a manicure in months. My blowout was great even though she had to walk away twice to answer the phone but thats not her fault. When I checked out, my nail tech and a male employee were standing at the front without masks which was odd because they had one on during the service. I informed them that I did not receive the upgraded pedicure due to my conversation and observation and the nail tech said, oh you did, so therefore was charged for it.I took the time to write this review so the owners can understand why their beautiful place is empty.

I love this place. Got my hair and nails done for a big event, Dom is just a class act truly one of the sweetest and most genuine hairdressers I have ever come across. She listened to everything I asked for my hair and delivered. My Manicure and pedicure were amazing as well, this place has a new permanent client!

Edit: Not so sure about the customer service anymore. Went back this morning at 10 because my polish had already chipped. It has only been a few hours since I got a mani last night at 6. Please don’t tell me it’s my fault because I “should’ve gotten gel instead”. I went in nicely and asked politely, no need for the rudeness, all they had to do was fix it, not say “yeah, it chipped because you did regular polish, that’s what happens, do gel next time”. Later on they tell me it’s because the polish line they use is cheap so it won’t last like OPI would. But only a handful of hrs though?? I didn’t even do dishes to say that’s why they chipped. I do my own polish and it lasts me a week (Opi and Seche). They were also irritated that I asked them to remove the skin that was left from my mani yesterday (you can see in the pics), and the girl was rude saying the polish was wet and she couldn’t and it was because my hands were so dry that it was like that, with an attitude (I showed her before she fixed the chips, she just didn’t want to do it). At this point I just asked for my money back so I could go somewhere else to redo it so I wouldn’t have to deal with being made feel bad over THEIR service. The girl said “no you’re wearing the manicure so no, you don’t get your money back”. Teresa was the only one who was very kind and stepped in to help and trimmed the skin and ignored the other’s conversations in a different language they were trying to have with her- probably about me, which I really appreciated. She was wonderful.Nothing irritates me more than a business that puts you down or is rude or passive aggressive when a service they did wasn’t of good quality and they get asked to correct it. No need for that, and because of this, I will not be returning or recommending this place.———————————Gah, mixed feelings. Excellent customer service. But my mani is rough. For $17, I really was hoping for it to look much better. This is what my hands looked like right after I left. Loved the lady that did my nails. But not so much the actual mani 😔😩 bummed.

I have left this establishment more dissatisfied than satisfied, so I am choosing to find another nail salon. The customer service is great, I wont deny that. However, I expect great quality EVERY visit and that is not what I got in my almost 5 months of going here. Only a few of nail techs do good work. Others, not so much. There were instances where there was polish over my cuticle, areas on the sides of my nails where there was no polish at all, and uneven polish all together. If you dont say anything, they wont fix the mistakes they make.In summary, this John V location is not the best. They are too expensive for me to continuously leave their salon disappointed. I will be looking for another salon.

Everything was spotless, BUT the man named Chase who did my pedicure was really rough. I thought I was getting a relaxing 10 minute massage but not happening there. But my toes came out perfect. Just felt as stressed as when I came in. L

I love this place! my first time here and was greeted by a very friendly staff. Ashely, the receptionist was supersweet! i love my nails thanks to Lam! he was awesome. I have no nails and dont want any tips on but somehow he make it look beautiful with dip powder. No need for UV dry and nails liquid application.

Favorite place to get dolled up

I used to go here all the time, but the last few times have been bad. I have had terrible peeling and chips in the gel manicure within a few days. The next day I called and told the manager, she did not offer to do anything about it. $100 later, not worth the price, especially if I have to get the nails redone after only one week! It wasn’t just a bad manicure, its awful with the edges of the gel peeling up on 4 nails! She also really destroyed my cuticles and caused gang nails. Disappointed by the downturn in quality of service and will not be returning. Don’t get stuck with paying premium prices and bad results.

This salon is very lovely and the workers are kind and professional. Its truly a different kind of experience from other nail salons I have been to. I highly recommend especially for a wedding or special event coming up.

Will never go back here again. This place use to be great but newer staff is rude on my nails were peeling off the next day after spending $60 on a basic mani pedi and leaving a $10 tip. I have to go somewhere else now to get my nails fixed.

This place is awesome!! I have been to countless nail salons since returning to this area from Nevada. I have been very disappointed in all of them....until now!! This place is clean!! Equipment, tools, pedichairs and tubs are immaculate. Lini is awesome. Shes gentle. I love my nails on my hands and feet!! If anyone is looking for a beautiful, clean, relaxing atmosphere and a great Mani/pedi this is the place. Im so happy to have found my permanent nail salon!! Im going to try the hair services next!

I think I did a review on John V already but I’m doing another! I love going to this beautiful salon! The staff is so sweet & laid back. They don’t make me feel like just another customer like most salons do. I must say that Collin is very patient with my pickiness on how even I want my nails to be.. lol. They’re all so understanding & do their best to make sure you leave satisfied. My nails are always so pretty thanks to these guys!

So glad I found John V Salon Kenner! I had a wonderful experience and everyone was so friendly. I had Stephanie for pedicure and Thao for dip manicure. This is definitely my new go to place for all of my beauty services.

I always have a nice time going with my kid while she gets her nails done here. It is a beautiful location inside and the prices seem very reasonable

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING, i been looking for a salon that was open mostly saturday and sunday because of work - the place was beautiful, employees were more than accomodating- walked out supper happy about the work they did. WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK AND WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND

Place looked very nice but the workers were rude, and way to rough with filing and made us bleed, and a few nails are turning black at the end as we were leaving and are continuing to turn darker . It also took a worker almost 4 hours to do mine .

They spent 10 minutes on my hair, just cutting off the split ends straight and charged $51 in total for that. WOW!
