When you want to feel what a small town business is like then the people that work at Garrett tires and treads in Kearney Nebraska sure try to help their customers. Repair shop wasnt far from my hotel, was able to get there and have my questions answer...my interactions with Adam and nice young lady At front desk..Also there is a second business in the same space, do check out their fridges,washers and beds at good prices. Go Big Red.

Garrett Tires and Treads is amazing! I just recently bought new tires here and the service was outstanding. I had made an impromptu visit to Kearney and was hoping to get my tires replaced while there. They didn’t have the correct tires in stock so Deanna, the very kind employee who helped me, tracked down the tires so that I could have them before I left town. Deanna and the team truly went above and beyond! I was very impressed and will only ever purchase new tires at this location going forward. Excellent service!

Have not had the best experience at Garrett Tire with all five vehicles I have brought in.- Brought in a 2006 Monte SS for a misfire.Paid for tune up that it needed, but misfire continued. Brought it back THREE times to try and identify and fix. No answers. Never fixed the problem. Sold the car a few years later, it was a crack spark plug according to new owner.Misfire not fixed- Brought in a 2011 F250 XL for A/C issues. Paid for diagnostic. Needed new fuse. Fixed temporarily. Brought it back. Issue unknown why A/C stopped working. Had a front drive shaft go out. Was told I needed to replace whole thing. Paid to get it done. Then I learned that the U-Joint on said drive-shaft could have just been changed. About $300 down the drain for that alone. (Traded in this F250 since for higher trim.)A/C not fixed- Brought in 2009 G8 GT multiple of times for alignments, and vibration issues. To try and be fair, this car IS a salvage title. BUT, I have since taken it to a frame alignment business to check frame and rear cradle. No issues with either. Rear tires still wear unevenly. Have done front end work to try and fix vibration. Never has gone away.Vibration and alignment not fixed- Brought in my new to me 2011 F250 Lariat for life threatening steering issues. Got work done. Was not resolved. Im not a guy to exaggerate things. This issue is truly dangerous.Highly dangerous steering issue not fixed- Brought in a 1996 Dodge Neon for inspection. Needed inner tie rods, motor mounts. Still have steering issue. But not as bad as it was, but. Again. still have steering issues.Steering issue not fixed.People up front are great, but I sadly have spent thousands there now. I have been nice for too long. I simply just do not get my vehicles fixed when I get it back after recommended work and spend extra money for higher quality parts.Its a great place to get an oil change, and tire service, but thats about it.

WOW. 10 stars out of 5. Car was pulling to the right, brought it in and a few hours later it was like I was driving a new car. Incredible service with great detail given, super skilled tech and lovely person to greet you. Cost much less than I would have guessed. Great shop.

Not only one of the most inexpensive places in town, but also super honest. They did their best to get us in and out and made sure they were giving the correct part!!!

We got a nail in our pickup tire traveling through from Western Nebraska to Ohio. We googled tire repair and found this place. We pulled in and got wonderful customer service. They got us right in, repaired our tire and got us back on the road quickly.

Found my tire completely flat at 0430 in the morning. Dropped it off at the nearest tire center, which happened to be Garrett’s, with a note hoping they could sneak the flat fix in that day. I got a call 30 minutes after they opened that my truck was done and ready. Excellent, speedy service with the small town professionalism that Kearney seems to be lacking lately. Will definitely be a returning customer! Thanks Adam!

This place is awesome. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. I came here for 3 dismounts/mounts, 2 new valve stems and a used tire for a full-size spare and it only cost about 60 bucks. Outrageously cheap. Will definitely give them my business in the future. Thanks for the great service, guys!

We were driving from St Paul to Denver and stayed overnight in Kearney. Unfortunately in the morning our car wouldn’t start. We were able to get it to Garrett’s and they quickly diagnosed and fixed our problem at a very reasonable rate! We were back on the road enjoying our trip within 90 minutes! Deanna and Mitch couldn’t have treated us better. Just wished we lived closer so we could give them more business. Thank you!!

Dont waste time anywhere else!Me and my brother were driving to denver when we got flat tire which was a goner, luckily the guys at Garretts not only had the tire I needed, they got on it almost right away!Forever going to be thankful!

Had another great experience today! I had a nail in my tire called Adam at Garrets said get down here and get it fixed with the 4th July coming up. I took it down there and they had me back on the road in 15 minutes!! And that’s why I will continue to use Garrets for a long time to come!! Thank you gentlemen always a pleasure!!

We went to make a right turn and there was no power steering. Praise God this place was on the corner. Because of circumstances they were short of service men, but they were going to take care of our situation because we were from out of town and in a rental car.

I went to their shop expecting a very pricy repair, but they fixed my car quickly and for less than I expected. Very friendly and flexible. I’ll be going there from now on!

Less than impressed with the service provided. The service advisor B that I interacted with did not listen well to what I was asking for. Which, when I left my vehicle there I had different expectations for what they were apparently going to actually do or what was done. When you bring a vehicle in for a specific issues, ie. vibration when driving, its expected that when you pick your car up after its been resolved, for it to not have that issue any more. My tires may have been balanced but my vehicle still vibrates in the steering wheel when driving over 55mph; I dont think that my vehicle was test driven after being fixed.So I dont know which was more disappointing: Being talked to like Im an idiot or spending money to not have an issue fixed.

The Ohtsu has been a good tire, I got 3 more and they handled ok through the snow.

Fixed a flat tire on very short notice at 5:00 PM for me. Very professional and courteous.

Bought a van from Auto One. Its front brakes were making some noise. Brought it into Garretts to get checked out and they say nothing is wrong and the brakes are brand new.... 10 months later, they still are squealing. I take it into Big O tire and they find that the brakes are warn to 30% and rotors need to be replaced. Do not recommend and will never go back.

I was approximately 25 miles out needing roadside to replace two RETREAD TIRES.The tech. I spoke with gave me an estimate of $1000!!! He told me Id be charged for 2 hours for 25 miles travel time !!!! I dont know of ANYWHERE that it would take 2 hours to come 25 miles!!! After I asked for a breakdown of the $1000 = $199 × 2 for retreads $125.00 per hour labor..I estimate $775.00 & told him..He said Sir itll be just over $1000.00 for sure!! Fellow Drivers if you dont want to be OVER THE HILL Price Gouged then DO NOT Call these people for roadside assistance!!!After all; EVERYTHING that He uses to do His job comes off of a Truck !!!
