My husband started with them over 20 years ago and when he passed away 18 years ago I still use and trust KTA. they have the best service and all employees are top notch people.

You will pay at KTA!!!Theyre great if youre short on time but only go here if you have extra money to spend. If you are on a budget, stay away.Went in to have my brakes replaced and a previous oil leak inspected. They did good work, my brakes are in good condition and the oil leak is repaired, but I feel like Ive been taken advantage of. I was not consulted about which level of parts I wanted to have installed on my 10+ year old car and was charged for the premium OEM parts that will probably outlast the rest of the vehicle instead of something that would actually make sense to put on a car made in 2008. They ended up finding a few other problems which did need attention, but again they charged me for the pricey OEM parts without giving me any options. They also performed services that I did not ask for and billed me for them. As they were working on my vehicle, my power steering pump mysteriously starts leaking, which was not leaking when I brought it in, and now they want another $800 to fix that. I think for the future I will be taking my business elsewhere.Overall Im not happy with their lack of concern for the specific needs of the individual customer. They get one star because they can do good work quickly, but in a service industry, customer service is everything and Kearney Tire & Auto did not measure up.

I was on my way to Ohio from Utah when I blew a tire on I-80. I called them first thing in the morning and they were kind and responsive. They were able to fit me right in, replace two of my tires, and get me back on my way in about an hour. They were friendly, helpful, and professional. Their shop was clean and their waiting area was restful. I am so grateful for their quick service.

Was able to buy tires for my brother in law over the phone since I dont live there, and they were awesome to work with. Tracie helped get him the right tires, and was able to get him fixed up the very next day. I will use them again if in the area.

They did a good job on my tires, but it did take them quite a while to accomplish the task. The staff was quite friendly and over all it was a satisfactory experience. The waiting area is clean and comfortable. They even offer loaners while your vehicle is in the shop, or offer to drive you where you need to go.

We had a flat on our cross country trekk on a tire that was 6 weeks old and under warranty from Lexus. Though they had a packed schedule the wonderful female (cannot recall her name) was so helpful and helped us find a suitable used tire to get us on our way safely in order to execute our warranty at Lexus. The tire technician was professional and very efficient allowing us to get back on the road in no time...Thank you so much for your assistance...

The folks here are wonderful. I was driving from WI to CA in a moving van with my elderly mom following in my car. We stopped for gas in Kearney and saw a tear in one of the cars front tires. It was a hot day in August and I had two vehicles, two people, a cat, and a timetable - I totally freaked out. I called AAA and they pointed me to Kearney Tire.When I called Kearney, I started off by explaining that I was really stressed out and they immediately switched to very calm, slow, kind customer service. Not in a patronizing way - it was genuine and exactly what I needed in my overwrought state. They were waiting for us when we got there and wasted no time assessing the situation. They didnt have a tire that would fit in stock so called around town to find one for me. They really went above and beyond.I figured wed be there all day but he had it completely done in less than an hour. And he let me bring the cat into the waiting area, too. The price was absolutely reasonable and I was 100% satisfied.Finding this shop with its kind, attentive, honest, professional people turned what could have been an utterly miserable experience into just a blip in the plan. Im super grateful and the car made it to CA with no problems with that tire or anything else.

My wife and two boys were traveling through town and came out from our hotel to find a very low tire. I called to ask if it was possible to send someone with an air tank to put enough air in my tire to drive it back for them to repair. He said that they didn’t offer a service and suggested that I find a tow truck for my LOW tire. I explained that we were traveling and asked if I found a tow service would he be able to repair my flat if I got the car to them. His response was that he would try but it would be late this afternoon if at all today. We called Midas and they had someone there in 10 minutes!! Moral of the story... if you are traveling through or live in Kearney be wise where you shop for tires and repair.

This has been one of the best customer experiences I’ve had at a car shop. I was on a road trip on I-80 when I stopped at a gas station by Kearney, NE. While checking the car we realized there was some leak and decided to take it to a professional to get it checked. The front desk representative was really friendly and helpful with communicating between us and the mechanic. The mechanic was able to help us get a quick fix that could help us get all the way home which is a day away. They could have fixed the problem but unfortunately we didn’t have the time to wait for an overnight delivery that would be used to replace the damaged part. I’m really grateful they could help us and if I lived in this city this would be my to go car shop. They specialize in tires, breaks, and fluids but you can call to see if there is anything else they do. They are kids and dog friendly in case your car has to stay there for an hour or longer.

As a neighboring business we chose to do business with Kearney Tire and Auto. Not only are they more expensive than our other neighbor ATS - Auto Tech Specialists @ 901 E 25th Street Kearney Ne 68847 - I sadly cannot recommend Kearney Tire and Auto for maintenance or repair work. We had a van that I paid them to repair. As a customer it is my responsibility to pay them for their services and it is their responsibility to give me the services that I pay for. Sadly I paid them a lot of money and our company van ended up in worse condition than it started. Our van never ran after being taken to Kearney Tire and Auto even after taking it back to them more than once. Every time it only costing me more money and the problem never being fixed. I took the van to the junk yard today- Kearney Tire and Auto wouldnt even take ALL of the parts off of the van to at least refund me for the parts that the van clearly didnt need because the van didnt run. Very poor service and over priced service. We were willing to pay more for the convenience of doing business with our neighbor. We also believe in supporting our neighbors. I feel that we were taken advantage of. We also had a Resident here that paid for a set of tires from Kearney Tire and Auto. He was given a quote to repair things that they said his vehicle needed. He took that same quote to ATS and was able to get the work done for a little over half of the price. They also were able to show him tires that fit his needs for half of the money. I wish we would have been able to build a business relationship with KTA- As a family and a company we have a lot of vehicles- the Residents here do as well. I find value in being able to trust a mechanic with maintenance and repairs- sadly KTA isnt that mechanic at this time.

Had appointment made upon arrival the only thing that was noted for me was a free alignment. The tires I picked out online was not available. The shocks and struts was going to make my visit another 5hrs. Staff was nice service was terrible.

The customer service was great, and wow how nice to have a dedicated childrens area while we waited. The only problem I encountered was I was told it would be 40 minutes to replace my valve stem when I made the appointment... It took almost two hours! So if you have to stay and wait for your vehicle dont plan anything for several hours after.

I had been troubleshooting an electrical issue with my brake switch for over a year that was causing my brake lights to intermittently not work. Brought it in here and had it diagnosed, parts ordered, and back on the road on the same day! I feel like I was kept in the loop on what was happening with my vehicle the whole time. They even went to the trouble of calling the manufacturer since there was a possible recalled part from years ago involved. Above and beyond service I have received from other shops in the past! I even got a follow up call just over a week later to make sure my issue hadnt come back since previously it was an intermittent problem.Prices were fair and I can say I will be bringing my service here for years to come.

Very nice people. Had a breakdown on a Saturday passing through Kearney. They werent able to get to it til Monday so spent the weekend but they were kind enough to secure a uhaul trailer we were using over the weekend til they could get to our pickup.

I had some trouble with my Fusion. I called a few places in town but went with these guys because they sounded most interested in my business. My experience was excellent! Both Blake and Jason were excellent help getting me scheduled and getting me out quickly. Also, the work on the Ford was well done and I have had zero problems since!

My family was driving back to Omaha from Colorado Springs when our van got a flat tire after 5pm on Saturday night of the Thanksgiving weekend. Kearney was the closest town from our flat tire breakdown. We got the spare tire on and called Don at Kearney Tire. We were over an hour and a half away, but he said to call when we got closer and hed meet us at the shop. Don was professional, courteous, and completely helpful! He fired up the tools and fixed up our van with 2 new tires. Thank you for the fine service!! Highly recommend KT!

I found a crack on my drivers side tire just outside of Kearney in the first half of my trip to Colorado. When I arrived, the service was prompt and very helpful. Not only did they check their own stock for the replacement tire, but they also called a scrapyard without me even having to ask them to! They found the one I needed, and had the tire on in less than an hour. They were so helpful, and made my journey so much easier. Shout-out to (Jacob or Jason, its hard to recall a name right now) This was my first road trip by myself, and I really appreciate the help they gave me when I really needed it. 10/10 would recommend this auto service station! Got in on short notice and they got my daughters new tires on at a reasonable price.

I was traveling through Kearney Nb on I-80 in my class B motorhome and stopped to avoid being caught in a blizzard in November 2015. I realized I hadnt checked my tire pressure in quite some time, and looked for a tire store online. I called Kearney Tire and Auto late in the afternoon and they said theyd be happy to check them. I took the van in, and despite the snow and weather, checked all four tires, and aired them up at no charge. The next morning, I discovered that the vans house battery wasnt charging and had stopped working completely. As Id had charging issues when I bought the van, I didnt know if the battery had just died or there was an electrical problem. I wanted to figure it out before I hit the road again. I called them again and once again they told me to bring it right in. I got there... they ran diagnostics on the electrical system, found it to be fine, and figured out that the battery was shot. As it was a standard starter battery rather than a deep-cycle RV battery, they found the correct battery, installed it and got me on the road quickly. I had TWO five star experiences with Kearney Tire and Auto in two days. Kudos!

Incredible people. I have an old car, its broke down twice this year, and I could never go anywhere other than Kearney tire and auto. The people are so kind and polite, and were willing to spend their time calling my dad in Omaha as well as me to make sure we were aware of every step of the process. They are very respectful and kind, with low rates. Very honest and gave me a coupon for a free car wash. I was recommended this place by two good samaritans when my car broke down the first time, and I would do the same for someone else.

I couldnt find a piece or even its name on an engine I was working on. Called multiple part stores with no luck. We had a leaking tire on our travel trailer while driving from California to Wisconsin. My husband was able to change it but we didnt feel good about completing the trip with no spare. After being told by other shops that they couldnt squeeze in our 5 minute job, we stopped here to have a tire swapped and the guys were very helpful. Hopefully we wont need their services again but if we did, we definitely go back.

Was driving cross country when our vehicle developed a noticeable vibration in Nebraska. The folks in Kearney squeezed us in and discovered a few major problems, some of which needed urgent attention (aka new tires and alignment due to other mechanic mounting the tires inside out) and a few that need future fixing. They got us back on the road within a few hours and were extremely helpful and patient as we talked through different options. Lucky place to get briefly stranded! And we made it all the way out west with no other incidents, so their work has held up, knock on wood!

Took my truck in for tires found out I had a radiator leak which they fixed 3 weeks later I’m still over heating had a fan clutch go out and a water pump which you think they would know after putting in my radiator. Never told me spent 1200$ for new tires and radiator then they tried to charge me an additional 900 to fix everything else. So I went to big wrench auto repair and they are doing it for under 400$. These people rip you off just really watch who you go to. I will forever go to big wrench auto repair I also advise you to and not give these thieves any money

Service writers are very friendly, but somehow justified charging me $107 for an oil change (which I provided the oil and filter for) and a complimentary tire rotation on my 07 Honda Fit. Ill opt for other shops in the area moving forward - hopefully theyll be more reasonable.

Great bunch of guys that work there. They explain what is wrong and how much it is before they do a thing. Also clean your car and give you a bag of popcorn as a surprise.

Yesterday our daughter and her friend were driving from Chicago on their way to college in Boulder, Colorado when the Check Engine light came on.They spent the night in Kearney, Nebraska.This was a traumatic experience for my wife and I .We were afraid her car might break down in the middle of nowhere.The next morning I looked up auto repair shops in the Kearney,Nebraska area and after reading good reviews I called Kearney Tire and Auto Service. Tracy said they had a full schedule but after explaining the situation she said she would scan the engine codes as soon as they got there. I spoke to Tom and he reset the Check Engine light and told me the car would be safe to drive to Boulder.He also faxed me a computer code scan.The same day the girls got to Boulder without the engine light turning on.The problem was that the oil was a little too thin.I sent her an oil additive to correct the problem. They were actually waiting for our daughter to get there and would not accept any money for all their trouble going out of their way to help her out on a busy day. A few years ago I was having issues with my car eating through tires, even after an alignment at a local Ford dealership. Since I purchased my tires through KTA I talked to them and they researched the issue concerning my car. They discovered that my make/model of car was notorious for this and came up with a game plan to make the tires last longer. A few years later, thanks to their research and recommendations, my tires are wearing at the rate that they should. I have found that their service was far superior to any other auto repair shop Ive been too. Ive been taking all my vehicles to them for a few years now and am pleased to know that not only will they take care of my vehicles, but they will also take the time to explain things and show me the issue in the event that a repair is needed. Well i would say to anyone going here to get a second opinion. dont spend tons of money for no reason. i got 4 tires and they said it needed an aliment they told me $300 for the aliment! i was shocked. i took my car to the dealer witch charged me $75 of a four wheel aliment. hmmm odd right? ... then i was told i can come in with no appointment to get the tires rotated and it would get done right away i found this to be false.i here from many people that they try and charge to do stuff that dose not need to be done! be careful with any of these type for quick lube places they will screw you over shop around. if i could put negative stars i would

I stopped to price new tires and Don gave me several options to consider and I found that the price of the tires was actually less than when I bought my previous set from KTA. So actually, the tires were a bargain. Don scheduled an appointment for the next day and I had them aligned at the same time. Have bought 4 sets of tires and many service jobs have always been taken care of with great service.

I used to take my car to this place to get worked on but I will not ever be going back nor will I EVER recommend this place to ANYONE. A few years ago I took my Ford Explorer in as it had a sputter and black smoke came out of the exhaust. They hooked it to the computer and said there wasnt a code and charged me for that. It kept doing it so I returned and they wanted to charge me quite a bit to drive it with the computer connected. It ended up being $3-400 and they couldnt tell me what it was still. I did a quick google search for the same symptoms and it suggested the Fuel Relay sensor. A $10 part and less than 5 min on my own and the problem was fixed. I explained this and they would not give me any kind of refund. AVOID IF YOU CAN!

First went to Kearney tire and auto in the summer of 2015 to have four new tires put on and see if they could find and fix an issue with uneven wear. They put four new tires on and said they could not find any issues causing the wear. Within a few months I started noticing the car start to vibrate again due to the same issue. I made it about 10 months on that set of tires, and went back in again for four more new tires and have them try to find and fix the issue. This time they told me they found the issue and fixed it. With a bill of over a grand I was just glad the issue was supposedly corrected. Here I am now a year later with another set of ruined tires because the issue was not fixed. I just know I am done with Kearney Tire and Auto. I gave them a second chance, but they will not get a third chance to rip me off.And like I said Don, if they couldnt find the issue the first two times in there what would make me think they could this time?

We purchased 2 sets of the Wipe Out Cancer Wiper blades, one for our Nissan and one as a gift for my mother, a breast cancer survivor! I LOVE them!! So many people notice them and ask me about them. Had our air conditioner repaired there less than 2 years ago, it went bad again, the previous receipt said there was warranty for 2 year/24000 miles, we were under the warranty and the part had a lifetime warranty but they wouldnt honor their own warranty and still charged us full labor. Very bad customer service, they were rude and mean.

Got a flat tire on a road trip to Colorado. Once it was determined the tire was not repairable, the only option presented to me was to replace all 4 tires on a 4 wheel drive vehicle (Subaru Outback) that only had 25k miles on it for over $700. While that IS the safest option, and recommended, it wasnt until a good guy friend of mine called around and found the shop down the street could replace the one tire with a compatible used tire. As a pregnant solo woman on the road with a 3 year old I felt like they were trying to take advantage of my situation. My husband was backpacking in the mountains and I could not make such a large financial decision without talking to him first (which wasnt possible). I did end up leaving with 1 used tire for $37 dollars, but the whole situation left me feeling discriminated against. Tire still works great though. Wont be back...

This is by far the best tire & auto service I have ever dealt with. Im about a 2 hour drive away, but will still take all of my vehicles to them to have tires installed or work done. They are very very helpful, and have great attention to detail, which is getting harder to come by these days. They mounted tires on my wifes BMW and did an alignment, and I honestly think they did a much better job than the dealership. They explained exactly what they would be doing, and even provided shuttle service to Cabelas so that I could kill some time while they were performing service. I am extremely particular about who I let touch my vehicles, and I wouldnt think twice about having them work on any of mine. Would rate them 10 stars if I could.

Be warned. These guys will get your vehicle in top condition. They will not do it the most economical way possible. I took our 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan in to get an alignment and was refused. They claimed both tie rod ends were bad. I had them checked earlier and again afterwards and there was no play in the tie rod ends. They claimed the antifreeze fluid was bad. I had just replaced it. They claim the oil is needing changed. I had it current. The tag in the window was valid. They claimed the transmission was dying. I admit it is time for a flush but I do not believe anything they implied was as bad as they made it sound. At first they said it was a hazard to drive, one of the mechanics whispered to the front desk guy and he backed down and just said they were maintenance issues. I have it from another mechanic in the area that these guy do they type of thing all the time.

Everyone was very nice and helpful. They were knowledgeable, and patiently answered all of my questions. In my experience as a customer of Kearney Tire and Auto Service, I became their customer when I used their pre-purchase inspection service to help me determine whether or not to buy a used car. They gave the car a full inspection and pointed out all possible future problems including a possible need for new tires and an oil change. When I decided to purchase tires, I again turned to them since I now trusted KTA to give me professional and informative advice on my vehicle. Don, the service advisor i personally worked with, gave me a couple of choices on tires and patiently explained the differences, pros and cons of all the choices then let me make my own decision. It was a very low pressure sales experience. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for automotive service or new tires and i will be using their services again in the future.

They may cost you more than the quick lube places, but I trust these guys, and frankly, $10 is worth knowing they arent going to try and rip you off with repairs that you dont really need.
