Love going to Landon to get my highlights and haircut. He does an amazing job. I love the atmosphere of the salon also. Would totally recommend anyone going to him for their hair needs!

I left an incredibly unprofessional salon and came to Studio 39. I went from a Pinto to a Mercedes! The previous stylist wasnt as good as I thought she was...because I never met anybody as competent as Sierra! She was so kind and considerate. She is extremely competent at what she does....a true expert. I got the BEST HAIRCUT I ever had. I am so grateful I got kicked out of that rude salon and found a real place that is professional and makes me feel amazing!

Emily gave me a curly cut and it was the most positive experience I’ve ever had at a salon. She was energetic the entire time and definitely knew what was she was doing. She brought my postpartum frizzy, unmanageable, lifeless curls back to life 😍 I would recommend her to any curly that needs a cut!! Cannot wait to go back and add some new color to my curls!

Its unfortunate that this place is in a city of many different people and all you see are pictures of blondies and no people of color. Frowned upon this establishment.

I’ve been getting Brazilian waxes for a couple of years now, but I’ve never had the experience that Bridget offers at every visit. She’s an amazing esthetician and comes with much knowledge about skin and hair. She always make me feel comfortable and valued. Bridgette does a thorough job every time. Not to mention she is the fastest waxer I’ve ever been to- I’m never in the room longer than 20 minutes getting waxed. She answers all my questions with clinical based feedback.

This is the perfect salon to go to in kc. The staff were extremely warm and welcoming and tended to all my needs. The quality of their work and products were also unmatched. Would recommend going if you want a comfortable, flawless experience!

I had gone somewhere else for extensions and they had done a horrible job, it took a couple of reschedules, due to life...but once I got in there and met Brielee, that was it...I was sold!...She is a real rockstar, she took them down and replaced them perfectly! The shop itself is in a great location and I felt so welcome, the girls are all super friendly and helpful!

Emily has shown me how to love my natural curls. My hair has gotten curlier the last few years. I was tired of fighting frizzies after blow drying my hair and this fall I decided to embrace my curls. My first appointment was almost 2 hours as she examined my curls in their natural state, gave me a dry cut to follow the natural curl in my hair and showed me how to wash, add product and style my curls with clip placement and a diffuser. She thoroughly wanted me to be happy with my hair. I just had my 3rd cut & style with her. If you have curly hair, she will guide you through the invaluable process of caring for your curls.

Love the waxing services here. Very reasonably priced and best results. Bridget walks you through every step of the process and explains each type of wax before use. Incredible customer service. 10/10 would recommend!

I researched several salons to find one that offered a non formaldehyde keratin treatment, and after consulting with the owner, Gemy, she scheduled me with Sierra. What a wonderful experience! I’ve had Keratin Complex before at another salon but this keratin treatment offered even sleeker results than the last one. My hair is straight but gets too voluminous in humidity, so keratin treatments make it smooth and manageable. It saves me hundreds of hours of blow drying and flat ironing, not to mention saves me from damaging my hair. So...if you’re worried that the non-Brazilian keratin treatments aren’t as effective...try this!! Sierra did an amazing job with the lengthy process of washing, drying, applying, drying and flat ironing...AND this kind of keratin treatment doesn’t require me to skip swimming or showers because you can get your hair wet right away if you need to! Highly recommend this salon and this team!

Sierra has been doing my hair for about 6 months and I can honestly say she is one of the best color technicians I’ve ever been to. Always knows how to achieve what I’m looking for and kills it with platinum blonde. Go see her!

I was booked with Morgan to have my color job (from another salon) fixed. She did AMAZING! I was practically in tears, I was so impressed with her work. She was so kind the entire time she worked on my hair. She is so knowledgeable, taking time to explain what she was doing and what effect that was going to have on the finished look. I totally appreciated that, as I was very nervous to make such a big change after the first attempt (at another salon) didnt turn out at all how I had requested. Im so IN LOVE with the results of her work! Ill definitely be returning to her!I also want to commend the salon as a whole. Everyone was so nice and all the stylists seem to work very well together. On multiple occasions some one came over to ask if there was anything they could do for Morgan, which is very impressive. The salon space is also very clean and organized.

Got my first ever Divacut from Emily today. She was an absolute doll and I highly recommend her! My very curly hair was very long, very dry, and VERY blah. And she made it soft, sassy, and adorably playful. Great cut, great people and an overall great atmosphere!!

I have been going to Studio 39 Salon for the last 6 years that I have lived in Kansas City. Megan always does a PERFECT job on my long hair with highlights and cut. She always gives the best tips. I love that whenever my roots grow out after getting my highlights done, it looks so natural. I always get compliments. Even when I moved 3 hours away a couple years ago, I would still continue to get my hair done here. She is the only girl I trust! They have a wonderful atmosphere and everyone is always so nice.

The salon itself has a nice atmosphere, and all of the staff are super friendly. However, Taylen is the real reason for the 5 star review. I’m super particular about my haircuts, and she has always gotten it right. I have been going to Taylen for the past few years, and during that time I have had long hair, lobs, curtain bangs, and she has done all the styles exactly how I wanted them. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Studio 39 Salon was a wonderful experience! Right from the start I felt welcomed and comfortable with the quality of service. Ive had my hair cut and colored/highlights by Michelle a couple times and plan on always book through her. She was great, she offered me a cold beverage when I first sat down. Before we started anything she asked me what I was thinking about color or cut. We talked about my daily hair routine and and what kinds of products I like to use. She gave me a few suggestions on cut and color. My hair is naturally medium brown and I wanted something fun for summer/fall. She ended up giving me full highlights and used toner to give me different shades throughout my hair. She also gave me a layered cut and went a bit shorter on the back layer to create volume, which I desperately needed! During the process she was a great conversationalist and I felt like the time flew by. She was very efficient and detailed with all her services. Her work station was clean and she was very organized. At the end she did an amazing job at styling my hair and showed me a few different ways to style it. I would highly recommend Michelle to any one, man or woman!!

I have been having my hair done by Morgan since January of last year. I came in with a boxed dyed hot mess. Ever since my first appointment Morgan has always serviced with hair with my best interest in mind. Nearly 8 months later my hair is healthier than its ever been!

I am a regular at Studio 39 Salon. My stylist is Justine Rooney and she is great. She is knowledgeable, stylish, keeps it real, and takes great care of me. Studio 39 has a great vibe with a very friendly staff. They offer great products but arent pushy about promoting them. The decor is serene and welcoming. The staff is professional and courteous. It is in a great location with plenty of parking. So all the amenities are nice, but its the stylists that make this a great place. I see a nice variety of clients from young to old, trendy to conservative and all leave looking great and satisfied. And a special shout out to Justine, she is really terrific

I am a client of Justines. I have been with her for about five years now. I have even moved with her as she changed salons. This girl is hip to the know. She understands current trends and is not afraid to offer her opinion when asked. I appreciate her skill working with my wavy dark hair. She has always done a great job with my color and cuts. I recently went in and changed my color (something that has not been done in 9 years). She exceeded my expectations and gave me not only what I was hoping for, but something better!

My mom and I got Deva cuts today from Justine. We are both OVER THE MOON with our cuts! Im mixed race with 3c hair, and until today I had never had a haircut without leaving with extreme disappointment. In both of our consultations, Justine listened to exactly what we wanted and was very VERY knowledgeable about what she was doing. She was so gentle with our curls, and gave me a cut that I feel fits my personality (and hair preferences) to a tee. Finally, I’ve found a place that gives me exactly what I’ve been looking for the first time around! I genuinely wish I could leave more than 5 stars.After a true hair catastrophe at another salon, I called Studio 39 minutes before they closed for the evening. The incredible receptionist spent 10-15 minutes coordinating with all the available stylists to see who could accommodate such a crisis.They got me in the very next morning with Emily -- who is a true miracle worker. First, she made me feel so very special, especially after such a traumatic hair experience. Second, SHE DID AN INCREDIBLE JOB. I cannot believe how great my hair turned out. Her advice was spot on, her execution was flawless, and her personality is so fun! Truly the triple threat in the hairstylist world.

Great experience here. I was given a tour of the salon while I waited for my appointment. That was a first.. My stylist was very on top of it. I cant remember her name, but she took her time discussing my hair before she started the color. My color was awesome! I wanted ombre and I read they were the place, and I wasnt disappointed. . I like the way the stylists interacted with each other too. Ive been to salons where you could cut the tension with a knife! Not here, all around good vibes. I also liked that the girl at the desk took the time to explain their customer benefits even though the front was busy. I will definitely be returning.

As a Christmas present my husband gave me a present to get my hair colored. Morgan did an amazing job highlighting my hair. She also did a deep conditioner, blow out and curl. My husband loves it.

Worst up-do I have ever received. I wanted something very simple and the stylist acted as if she didnt know what she was doing. My hair looked like a birds nest with how teased it was. The stylist also used blonde bobby pins even though I have dark brown hair. I ended up taking the up-do out and doing my hair myself. Complete waste of money and time.

Morgan has been cutting and styling my hair for over a year and I have never gotten as many compliments on my hair in my entire life! She specializes in chic, short haircuts for women that look absolutely amazing! So many women are scared of getting their hair cut short (even if it would suit their face type/ lifestyle better) because weve all had bad ones that ended up being a bowl-cut in disguise. This is NOT the case here. Morgan takes her time and helps you find the right cut for your look and asks detailed questions to get it just right. I dont think Ill ever find another stylist as talented in short hair cuts. Definitely recommend!

I paid $56 for a curly girl cut using Diva curl products and I came out looking like I stuck my finger in a light socket. To be fair I have tried diva curl products before and they dont work well with my porous fine 3C hair. My hair cut was not done well at all. She missed so much of my dead end that I will have to go get it cut again. I suggest that the hair stylists who cut curly hair educate themselves more on the different types of hair and what they need instead of providing one type of treatment for all curly heads. My hair stylist was very pleasant but ultimately lacked the skills and experience to cut and style my hair.

What makes this place different than any other salons Ive been to in the past is that they really do listen. Gemy listened to all my concerns about my hair and offered good advice on what I could do to make my hair healthier. The things she knew about blew my mind! She taught me how to decode the ingredients on the back of shampoo bottles. Whos hairdresser has ever really taken the time to do that? She gave me me options on products that were inexpensive to splurge. I used to go to Beauty Brands and I thought it was nice, but no one has ever took the time to explain things like this place did! In the past, after highlights my hair would feel dry for a week or two. After they dried my hair it was shiny and soft, that was a first for me. I have been there twice now and have been using the things they suggested and I can really see a big difference in my hair.

I have been coming to Megan at Studio 39 for a couple of years. She is amazing at taming my long, thick, sometimes crazy hair! The staff members I have come into contact with have all been extremely friendly. I always leave feeling absolutely beautiful!

Skincare with Bridget is amazing!! She is so organized and super highgenic. I’m getting married in June and I wanted my best skin for my big day, I’ve only seen twice and already I know my skin is going to look and feel so radiant!

I cant say enough good things about Studio 39. The Owner Gemy is top notch, and her staff doesnt lack any expertise as well. My hair was in very poor condition from an over priced Salon that specialized in hair loss and damaged hair. I had breakage from my roots to my ends. It looked like I had a mullet from the severe breakage. March will be one year since I found Gemy and I will never go anywhere else. My hair is in the best condition its been in, in years. I no longer cry when I look in the mirror. I have soft, shiny, healthy hair. The products offered are beyond reasonable and Ive never been pressured to buy anything. They only time a product/s have been suggested is when Ive asked. Oh, and Studio 39 offers a point program. Every dollar you spend, earns points that can be used towards other services, or products.

Studio 39 is amazing! If you plan on going here, definitely book your appointment with Michelle. From the moment I got there she made me feel welcomed. She even offered me a cold beverage! Before she did my hair, she asked me what I wanted to get done and gave me her honest opinion. I could definitely tell she knows what shes talking about and knows everything about hair. Michelle ended up lifting my base color to a lighter blonde and then high-lighting and low-lighting the rest of my hair. I am not kidding when I say that this is the best my hair has ever looked in my life! I get so many compliments on it every single day. She was very fast and gentle on my head. She even gave me a head massage while I was being washed and I almost fell asleep. Her work space was clean and she seemed to be very organized. Michelle also cut my hair very well. She gave me exactly what I wanted and asked me questions throughout the cut to make sure it was what I wanted. You can tell she has a lot of experience. I plan on going back to her every single time and I refer all of my friends to her. If youre looking for a new hair dresser go to Michelle!

After growing more and more unimpressed with my old stylist I decided to give Salon 39 a chance since they had such great reviews. Im so glad I did!!! I had long, pretty damaged hair after having ombre color for a while and wanted to get my healthy hair back. Megan was great, she was really patient and gave me several options. I felt like she was being honest about what she thought would be best for my hair rather than just doing what I asked (I thought we would have to cut it super short!) We wound up cutting off way less than I thought we would have to and my hair looks super cute, feels healthy, and is way more manageable. Im so happy to have a stylist I trust again!

Gemy is the best hair colorist in Kansas City! She recently gave me peanut butter & jelly highlights and low lights and cut my long hair into a shoulder length angled bob and I love it. The new salon is amazing. Its so big and open and the ceilings and fountains are so cool!

Gemy has cut and colored my hair for years. She is the best. I moved away, and when I knew I was coming back to Kansas City I was so excited that Gemy could be my stylist again. The staff at Studio 39 is fabulous. If you want your hair to look amazing, this is the place to go.
