Literally no patrons on a Saturday afternoon is tell tale signs… I was wondering why it was so empty but as I started to hear their prices and attitudes I realized why and what the issue was. They are charging 47 dollars for a simple dip your feet in water and throw some lotion on it with a lil paint and calls it a pedicure, if you want the premium it’s 55 dollars BUT if you want gel on top of the premium it’s 20 extra dollars on top of the 55, so that’s 75 dollars for a gelpedicure… almost 80 dollars, no designs no champagne, wine NOTHING! Just robbing ppl blind! Never ever will I ever spend another dime in this establishment…

I have a regular guy who does my nails near home but this place is close to my work so I come here sometimes during my lunch break. Sophie and her husband are so adorable and sweet. Sophie has done my nails a couple times and she takes her time and does a great job. They do not rush you here!!! I recently had a fill done somewhere else and my nail BROKE and the gel chipped after 2 days. I came in and Sophie fixed it for me by doing dip over it and it looks great. I will definitely be back!!

I made an appointment online for the salon I arrive for my appointment and she says that she doesn’t have anybody she can call very unprofessional. I wasted ove 25 in an Uber to get here. Don’t make appointments online. They can’t honor them

I was in a hurry and they were about to close in an hour. I was so relieved they allowed me to stay. Got nails done in an hour (after some break removal and prying off all my nails. Weird thing is they dont do acrylic nails or gel fills. They just do nail tips and powder dips. powder dips arent my favorite because they turn out lumpy ( instead of acrylics and gel, which turn out smooth). She grinded my nails down to the skin a few times. I jumped back but that didnt slow her down. I told her that my nails were already thin and grinded from previously. She wasnt putting on new a acrylics, was just painting with powder over clear nail polish. so there wasnt a reason to grind but she insisted and kept doing it. They looked great for the evening, the next day I saw the lumps. They have tiger eye and cat eye colors, yay! The natural growth seemed to last longer with the nails, but they chipped off easily after a week. I was satisfied enough for the night. The woman who helped me was rude with me because I didnt want powder but talked me into it. She was sort of contrary about all my choices and didnt get the tips shape right, I corrected her and that annoyed her. She said she is allergic to the acrylic chemicals but other employees werent willing to help either. Kind of strange experience. Felt sort of like my choices werent good enough or I wasnt hip to their trend, paid more for powder because i didnt have any other options they would provide me. felt bad about everything i asked for. Not going back. 2 stars for service. 3 stars for nails.

The worse set of nails I have ever paid for; honestly so embarrassed I even paid. The service took 3 hours the company was out of acrylic powder so they had to use dip powder she must have been running low because I could literally see though my pink nails then the nail art ... so horrible if you can’t do it just say that. I spent over 100 on services I wouldn’t extend to my worse enemy. A waste of my off day ( again this took 3 hours) and a waste of over 100 dollars. I tried to be polite thinking she would see how bad it looked and not charge full price but she was clearly proud of this hack job

For a pedi I was there for 1 hour and 30 minutes. While being serviced I did not receive any scrub on my feet, massage was very quick and short, maybe 2 minutes. The work was horrible on my toes. It does not look professional. For a basic pedi that did not include any perks was $47. Also, there was no heat, about 2 degrees in the shop. I do not recommend!!!

I absolutely love Sophie! She makes an amazing nail shape every time, no matter what I’m in the mood for that week and is always so warm and welcoming every time I come in. Im so glad I found my go-to spot in Kansas City for the best dip manicure and service a girl could ever ask for!

My 2 daughters and I went in. Appt was made online and I selected from the options they had available. I chose a pink and white acrylic for one daughter, powder dip for myself and regular acrylic for my other daughter. We got there and were told that only powder was available for all. They charged extra for the coffin cut, they then charge extra for colors that are on the same ring with other colors. My chrome color has bubbles, the knicked my cuticles, the girl removing my current powder sanded it down to my nail and burned thru and then soaked the rest off, one daughter had to have tips and they have already busted off..less than 48 hours later. I paid $180 for 3 sets if nails. Thank God I dont live there and have already left town. They get 2 stars for being nice, however the quality of the nails vs the price and failure to properly advertise what they offer vs what they do is disgusting.

Ask for Tina or Sophia! They will hook you up and then some!! They squeezed my appointment in at the last moment. This place off the chain amazing!

You cant get a better manicure or pedicure downtown. The prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly. I love coming after work and having a nice glass of wine while being pampered.

I went to Tina she was so was so professional, and she got my toes very clean which is something a lot nail techs fail to do for me. She also took care of a bad nail job I got. The place was clean and she really took care of me! I can’t wait to visit again!

Fantasy nails is a great place to get yours nails done. It’s clean, professional and the techs customer service is five star all around. Andrea ferrer I was in the shop when you acted out like you didn’t have any sense please don’t lie on these hard working people. I have been coming here for years and not one time have they been racist Not once cause they aren’t. If you can’t afford ten dollars extra to get your nails done you really should go elsewhere. Fantasy nails shouldn’t have to deal with your ridiculous actions and even more ridiculous accusations.

Great people and great service! My husband and I are traveling and we went here after walking all day and needed some pampering. She did a great job on his feet, even getting a few problem nails taken care of. Great place and highly recommend!!

I absolutely love love them. I just moved here from Colorado and had a horrible time finding a nail spot, but as soon as I walked into fantasy nails I was in love. They were so welcoming and treated me and my little sister great. They went above and beyond expectations and they will be my number one nail spot. Also their prices are really good for the amount of greatness you get on your nails.

Had my very first pedicure and manicure; the experience was great! I was pretty nervous but the lady was very nice and reassured me. It was super ticklish (as I was not used to it) but the end result was great! My nails looked great, and my legs felt very smooth and fluffy like it never before—everyone was very nice I’d recommend this place to anyone and everyone ;D

I called to make an appointment. On the day of my appointment, the salon was completely closed up. No one told me that they’d be closed. No one called to reschedule or even cancel my appointment. Then when I called two days later (day after Christmas) to let the manager know what happened, she just kept saying I’m sorry. Finally, after a lot of back and forth, she offered 10% off. 10%??? That’s an insult, especially when this was for Christmas, and at that last minute I wasn’t able to get into ANY other salon. I had to spend the holiday with nails looking crazy. Had I known they’d be closed Christmas Eve, I could’ve made an appointment elsewhere. They should’ve never taken my appointment, or, if they made a mistake, called to let me know. At the very least, they could’ve taken responsibility for it when I called them out on it. This is some of the most rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional customer service I’ve ever experienced at a nail salon. Never again. I took my business to Polished, right around the corner, where they were much more professional.

I made appointment on line and went in and I was told the person who dose acrylics nails wasnt in and then ask what else could be done one answer me..just act like I wasnt there..

My husband and I got pedicures here while on vacation. The two ladies were super nice, they gave us directions around Kansas City and advice about where to go. They were very friendly and I would recommend this place! My nails turned out fantastic as well.

Ive been going to Nail Fantasy for a few months now and every trip has been great. Excellent polish selection, dip and gel included. Everyone there is highly skilled at all of the services they provide. Great place to get pampered and have a glass of wine after work.

Beautiful salon downtown. I moved here from NY and I’ve been looking for a new salon for a while now. The ladies here are so nice and did a beautiful job on my pedicure and fill in. I live in Overland Park but will definitely travel downtown just to go here again! Thank you ladies!

Really loved this place. I just moved into the area and was hesitant because downtown nail salons are often overpriced and/or poor quality, but this team killed it! Fast service, good selection of color, personable people, reasonable prices; even the music playlist was super pleasant. When I couldnt decide on a color, one of the girls even painted my choices onto her own nails to help me decide. This is my new place, for sure.

Very professional. They do quality work and take their time. The owner is a great guy. An employee didnt do a great job and he had them take gel nails off and redid it himself which said a lot about their values.He did it low-key of course and I didnt understand him talking to her but he did it without even asking me or me complaining to him.

I Love my nails!!! I am extremely picky when it comes to getting my nails done but Sunny and Jessica did an amazing job. The salon was so clean and spacious. They were so welcoming, gracious, very friendly and wanted to have a conversation with me. Reasonably priced and has a lot of services. They even have all natural (chemical free) pedicures. I cant wait to try that. My last nail tech of 5 yrs retired so I went w/o getting my nails done for about 9 months. But I have now found my new nail tech and on the first try!

Not enough workers, therefore they rush through other clients. Customer service could be better. Went here for 1 yr will not return. I dont want to pay money for a rushed service. Take your time and do it right.

First off I’m new to getting my nails done. I came to this shop twice. Once for dip which was great (by a man). Next time I come to get the dip removed and switch to gel (by a younger girl) keep in mind I had no clue that this was a bad idea for my nails until she decided to tell me HALFWAY through the process. She struggled with removing the dip so she actually buffed the remainder off!! I had no clue this was a big No No until I explained my experience with my mom. Before coming here I had great thick long nails, after I left the shop, my nails were actually hurting and soon after they started breaking lower than my nail-bed causing me to bleed and be in pain. My nails are soo weak now. I will never go here again.P.s she also quoted me a time for how long the service would take and she took a extra 36 minutes.—If you go here, I would suggest already knowing about the do’s and don’ts of nails because they will not let you know if they are mishandling you. Im giving 3 stars, mostly because of the friendliness of the reception desk and techs. They got us in very quickly. They were talkative and enjoyable to be around, whereas this is lacking in a lot of salons. My pedicure was fine, nothing past acceptable. I then sat down with my nail tech for my mani. I normally get gel and I had my gel picked out. He convinced me to try the dip, as it would last longer. I was leaving for Italy in 3 days, so this was important to me. Dip powder was on my skin and he cut me a bit, but since he was so nice I tipped him and went on my way. Literally the next day I had one dipped nail come off completely. By the time I was on the plane I had lost 4. I couldnt believe it. I ended up just popping them all off, it was that easy. My nails looked like trash on my whole trip. I wish I could have had a better experience, as everyone was so nice!

I had a issue here a while ago with a polish change but Ms.Sophia fixed it.I have been back twice since and I have gotten the same quality I typically see from this venue even bringing my mom&sister back for services.Prompt and no big deal if you need anything from them .Happy we came back.

Waited Over 30 Mins To Get A Service . Staff was very rude and disrespectful and racist. They over charged me for a full set and polish change. I showed the nail tech a picture of how I wanted my nails and he didnt even try he gave me somethingelse and it was horrible thick and lumpy. The employee acted as if he didnt want to service me and told another employee to finish my service . Once I tried to tell owner she called me a liar . Never will I step foot in this shop again if I could rate this shop 0 stars I would . Im very unsatisfied and want my money back 😩

While the salon is clean, thats about all thats good about it. I only ended up here after I didnt want to drive to my regular salon 45 minutes away and the salon I originally wanted to go to downtown had a two hour wait and I was with others who were on a time constraint. Let me say - the five women who walked out because the employees made them all wait for a minimum of 25 minutes after saying itll be just a minute had the right idea - avoid this place at all costs. I went in on a Friday for a dip manicure (which usually last me a month with no issues whatsoever). By Sunday, it was chipping on my thumb nail. By today, my thumb nail is worse and I have several other chipped spots. I went in and calmly explained my issue with paying $50 (!!!) for a service and having it not last. All I was told was that they cannot issue refunds and sometimes nails react differently. This was not my first dip manicure. Not to mention I was charged for a full new manicure, even though all the service that was provided was taking off my old polish and putting on the new - no hand soak, etc. that is usually accompanied by a manicure. Do not go here.

First of all i was there for 4 hours! Not only being there for 4 hours when after being service between the two things i got only took a hour they self. I asked for a basic full set and pedi. I was overcharged. They throw in extra things like you got a tip nail $10. Medium nails $10. Etc etc. i need a free fill!

Ive been in 2x so far for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. Both technicians I had were polite and professional. Jessica took care of me the 2nd time and made a lasting impression because of her sweet personality and patience with my indecisiveness on choosing a color. She gave a me a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. Prices were reasonable, especially for a downtown salon! Salon was clean and well maintained. I have walked in both times and have had no crazy wait time. Going back today for my 3rd experience!

One person working who stopped two times during the fill to paint someone’s nails. They used a dip powder to do a fill on regular acrylic. Price was decent but an 1 hour 15 mins for a fill was ridiculous

I went to get nails done their, like i always do. New people that i never seen before. Only one lady that i recognize. The other people that was new wasnt so pleasant. The guy they had do my nails was alright. Where is the other guy thats normally their. He was always pleasant and kind. I thought he was the owner. But these new people need and should be a little more friendly.

Got my nails/toes done here with 8 of my bridesmaids for my wedding and had an appointment set up and everything. Im not one to write bad reviews but...1: took 5 HOURS so we had to move back our dinner reservations2: showed them a picture of what I wanted exactly and they still did it wrong so I had to have them redo them3: My nails and two of my bridesmaids nails were ruined within 2 hours after getting them done and I had to go get them fixed somewhere else last minute because I dont live in Kansas City and I had to leave the next day!! Thats about $70 down the drainAwful experience and would not recommend coming here to anyone!!!

They were very rude and overpriced how can you charge someone 60 and up for gel nails and there’s not a even a lot of colors to choose from they were judging me and talking about me in a different language shaking there head when I kept asking them if they can do certain design you can’t charge ppl 70 on nails when you don’t even know how to do marble nails

I stopped by at approximately 6pm on a Thursday. The salon wasnt busy, but every technician was occupied. I was instructed to sit down at my assigned pedicure booth. I wasnt helped until an hour later, and by that time the water was cold. The service (the actual pedi) was average yet surprisingly disappointing. There was no nail dryer, so I had to be careful not to mess up my toes because by the time my service was finished it was closing time. I also felt uncomfortable because my technician kept sighing while working on my toes. The pricing was average but a little high. I will most likely not return which is a shame as it is so close to my house.

Worst pedicure I have ever had. The polish job was sloppy(no top coat, looked like and the nail person was extremely rude. The only reason why it’s getting one star from me is because Sofia, seeing how poorly done the nails were, fixed them with both her kind attitude and actual skillset) never coming back here again.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. We were there for hours and didnt even get my pedicure, just got to sit in cold water for hours. Way understaffed knowing they had 2 big party reservations and still only had 4 employees and didnt let anyone know. They had a terrible selection and old and not clean. I will never be visiting again. Please save your money and go to a real salon.

They put gel om my fingernails and literally was painted onto my finger! i had to pry it off of my skin! She gave me a pedicure which was great but messed up on one nail,took the polish off and i did not notice til I got home and my hubby said why is your toe red! She just smeared it instead of getting the polish off!

Best mani-pedi Ive ever had.

I LOVE this salon. Being new to downtown kc, I had no idea where to start looking for a good salon. They were right down the street and easy to see and access. They get you in fast and take their time to make sure you love your nails! All of the staff is friendly and attenative. I came in late today (Sunday) not realizing that sundays were mostly appt only, and the nice technician reopened the store just for me so I could get my pedi! They really go the extra mile for their customers! 5 stars!

So I went back! And it was amazing I have never had such a good experience anywhere! Mani pedi..... during the pedi the woman was so nice and wanted me to relax laid my chair back pretty far and turned on the messages and I almost fell asleep it was awsome!!!!! The gentleman did my nails and like always they were perfect seems like things are better it will be my go to place once again.

I went there last night I just text them about a couple of hours before I posted this and the staff great my nails not my thumb nail polish is already messed up and now the paint is also chipping on top of that he messed my real nails up underneath so if I wanted to take them off there really jacked up. Never again.
