My husband conferred with Michael on every aspect of the design and the setting of the diamonds for both rings. Michael was receptive and always professional in my husbands demands to be involved in every detail of the rings. The finished product was totally awesome! Both our rings were custom designed. Many people have already commented on the beauty of the design in platinum with the diamonds and that they are the most beautiful rings they have ever seen. I was looking for a place to get my watch batteries replaced and found Waldo Jewelers on my Google Maps app. Since they are just down the road, I paid them a visit with two of my dress watches that have been hiding in my sock drawer for over a year. What I found was that they not only replace watch batteries, something I could probably myself if I were not so lazy, but it is a remarkable shop. They have absolutely beautiful creations. I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Waldo Jewelry definitely merits one. With Valentines Day (also my wifes birthday, :) ) looming, I purchased a loose stone. I took it to Michael, the owner and jeweler at Waldo Jewelers, with specific instructions as to what I wanted this pendant to look like: the center diamond set in platinum, with a delicate diamond halo, and floating on the chain. I had pictures and very high expectations. Michael absolutely nailed it!!! The pictures attached are exactly what I asked for. But Michael took it a step further suggesting we add a personal touch, the K monogram on the back. Beautiful and brilliant idea. He completed the pendant in 3 weeks. I didnt have a tight time frame, though I got the sense that if I had requested it, he would have gotten it done more quickly. My wife was speechless and thought pendant was gorgeous. I admit that before I took it Waldo Jewelers, I had taken this idea to a High-end Jewelry store on the Plaza and their price tag was 40% HIGHER with a 6 week turn around. This is absolutely the best place to go for all jewelry! My girlfriend and I went in to talk with Michael about a moissanite engagement ring. He was very helpful and guided us on the path of picking out the right ring and stone combinations. He even brought in several styles of ring and stones so we could see them in person and pick exactly what we (she) wanted. This is hands down the best place! Plus we got to support a local business instead of going to a box store, which was very important to us.

These guys are simply fantastic. Anything to do with jewellery repair, watch repair, or buying high quality fine jewellery. They have adjusted bracelets for my wife, adjusted gemstones that got loose from a ring, fixed watch straps and taken out links. And the prices are clearly listed and very reasonable.

Brought an engagement ring in to tighten a loose stone. He shaved one of the prongs so far down that it doesnt adequately keep the stone in place. Its being rebuilt right now at a different jeweler.EDIT: owner replied aggressively. I doubt he knows who we are, this occurred several months ago. If what he says is true, I would’ve hoped he would’ve pointed this flaw out to us, as our new jeweler did immediately.

My Girlfriend Monica went in to have her late Grandmothers ring resized. The entire process took minutes and was extremely efficient. Came back a few days later to pick up ring and it fits perfectly. They even cleaned it up a bit to make it really shine!!

Brought some silver rings in that were originally set with jewelers glue. They were still decently priced objects my wife and I wanted polished and reset. I was told yes it can be done. I was also offered to have them set more properly and not glued which was a about $80. I declined and asked them to be glued as they were when we bought them. I called ahead 1 week later, when they were supposed to be completed. I was told yes they are ready. I came to pick them up and I noticed they were polished but the stones were not glued in. I asked about it. I didnt get a straight answer whether they could glue them in or not. I was given some excuse about how the rings were made. I decided to take the rings somewhere else. There was no attempt to glue them. If you couldnt do it in the first place then just say it.You get two stars because you didnt charge me and the conversation was civil. However I dont need a lecture about why the rings were made this way or that, I dont care. The money wasnt the issue at all but if it wasnt worth your time then just be up front.

I’ve been wearing this signet ring for about 24 years and have never had it “reconditioned “. After all of these years I decided to take it in for some TLC. I was referred to Waldo Jewelers and I could not be more pleased. The level of service and attention to detail far exceeded my expectations. Take a look at the side by side comparison...and keep in mind this is 24 years of wear and tear. Edited after response: I did not dispute anything, I simply asked a question as I dont know anything about rings. I do know about customer service, though, and I am a very nice person on the phone and the way you responded was in a condescending way. I found another place that says they never charge extra for tightening and they even sized my ring up 0.25 for free in 3 minutes (Joslins) instead of your $175 quote. Even the way you responded to this review makes others able to see you are not professional.I called to ask how much ring resizing would be and he gave me a price saying something about tightening the diamonds, and I just asked a question saying I wasnt sure it would need that because just the way my diamonds are set on a raised platform (they arent on the band) I didnt think it would need that. He said okay Ill tell you what, Ill resize it for $75 instead and not tighten the rings and then if the diamonds fall out its on you, and Ill give it back to you in a bag and you can figure it out. I said thank you and bye.... Wasnt sure why I got that kind of reaction as I just politely asked a question. Wont ever be considering this place again.

Wonderful experience!Have a vintage 1920’s filigree ring, of my grandmothers. It was missing the original diamonds, as they have been mounted in other rings. I had the diamonds re-mounted by another jeweler who just ruined the setting.I took it in and Michael did an excellent job recreating the Art Deco style.Love! Love! Love! At reasonable charge also. I have to say what an AMAZING jeweler Michael is! I had the stone replaced in my wedding ring three years ago; I had been to other jewelers and their quotes were way too high for my comfort level. Michael took the time to listen to my needs--since I work with my hands, I didnt want a pricey stone in the ring, but I wanted it to be beautiful. He suggested a lab-created stone, moissanite, which turned out to be GORGEOUS. He also tightened the prongs, cleaned the rings (engagement and wedding set), and honestly made it look brand-new. I feel very comfortable wearing the ring at work, and it still looks beautiful!Since hed done such wonderful work, I returned to the shop last month to have the stone in my mother-in-laws wedding ring replaced. We talked about moissanite again (since its an heirloom that wont be worn often, I didnt want to spend a great deal of money). After research, however, Michael contacted me and let me know that natural diamond would actually cost less! So we settled on that, and the ring was done in less than a week. Again, it was GORGEOUS work, and I am so pleased with the result.Most important, I admire Michaels honesty in letting me know about a less costly option for the stone. He is a true craftsman who really cares about his customers and does the very best for each of them. Ill be back to Waldo Jewelers for ALL of my jewelry needs!

Went here with an engagement ring that was made poorly thinking I might need to melt it down and remake it entirely. Michael is amazing! I have an eternity band that was too small. If anyone knows about eternity bands most jewelers don’t want to resize them because it is difficult! I initially went to a different jeweler and he refused to resize it and said I had no other options. Then I read wonderful reviews about Michael and decided to give it one more try to see if he could do this difficult job. He was very knowledgeable and personable. He told me it was difficult but definitely not impossible! He gave me options and I loved that about him! My ring came out beautiful and you can’t even tell that it had been resized bigger!
