The associates at Kays Zona Rosa location are always friendly and knowledgeable. They have helped me locate specific pieces of jewelry that I could not find elsewhere, and always do a fabulous job inspecting and cleaning the pieces I have. A big thumbs up!
I just want to say what a terrible experience I had here. It took me 5 weeks to get a quote back for a ring. The gold ring was horribly bent after I slept with it on. They told me $1200 to reshape and add gold to it. I figured since there was already $1200 in damages to a ring that’s not even worth that, I would try and reshape it. I did and it’s perfect. I feel as though Kay Jewelers attempted to scam me out of hundreds of dollars.

DO NOT GO HERE! Theyre rude and will try to trick you. I brought in my wedding ring because a diamond fell out and it took them about 10 minutes to find me in the system. Then they asked me to sign the repair slip that was filled out as if I didnt have the life time warranty, when I pointed out there mistake they told me it was invalid do to not getting it checked regularly. After telling them that I do in fact get it checked on a regular basis they explained that cleaning dont count and all the times Ive brought it in were just that and it was my responsibility to make sure they logged it was a inspection not a cleaning.
My husband and I bought our wedding rings there.....great experience.He also bought me a diamond cross for Christmas I had wore it 3 times and the chain broke I took it back and it was replaced no questions ask...very friendly very helpful yes we will most definitely be a return customer!!!!
We have always had issues at this location and the lack of customer service and satisfaction is not a priority to them. They shouldn’t have someone selling diamond rings and handling them if they don’t even see an issue like the diamond is loose or needs to be fixed. (Spoke with Ann) Due to this issue i will not have my wedding rings for an even longer time when it was promised to be back before Christmas. Extremely disappointed and sales staff could care less for the inconvenience (spoke with store manager McKenzie) but they are so quick to make sure they get your money for something else they can sell you!
The service at this location is hands down the best in the city! Every time I come they know my name and go out there way to assist me and my family! Give everyone who works here a raise! And shop here before any where else in the city!

Zona Rosa staff are the bomb. They really go out of there way to help. We took our youngest daughter in to pick out a 10th birthday present. She felt so special. She found the unicorn necklace that she has been wanting. Thank you again everyone for make her feel like she is a princess.

Worst Kays Location and experience. My sister had 5 rings she bought for her bridesmaids, but the wedding was cancelled by the groom. I went in with my sister along with a few other of her girlfriends to return the rings that she had for about 2 months. All of them were still in the boxes, untouched. The manager came up to the counter and was stone cold about the situation. She kept repeating to my sister that she could only have store credit since we passed the 60 day return policy. We understood, therere policies that have to be followed, but she was so rude with how she phrased it that my sister busted into tears and walked out the door. The manager never apologized and still had a stone cold face. The next day we contacted corporate to address the situation that took place with the manager and they wouldnt do anything about the rude manager. Worst experience ever, will never buy from here again.
I cannot express to anyone reading this review how terrible this store is. I have given this store chance after chance hoping that it was just one bad encounter, but after 3 negative experiences I’m convinced. For starters, my husband and I have bought all of the jewelry we’ve ever bought from Kay. 3 necklaces, an engagement ring and 2 wedding bands so you’d think we’d be treated a little better by now. When we bought our wedding bands they both had to be shipped off to get re-sized. We were told they would be here in 2 weeks and they would call us when they got back to the store. The 2 weeks came and we hadn’t heard anything, so I called the store and they told me that my husbands ring was ready but not mine so they were just waiting to ship the two together. Okay no big deal. We got a call a couple days later to come pick up our jewelry. Get there and only my ring is there. Well that makes no sense, 1. They already told me that my husbands was ready and 2. Said they would ship it together. After an hour in the store trying to figure out where the men’s ring was (we called multiple stores) we left without knowing where the ring was. It was essentially lost. Not really something you want to hear as a bride. About a week later it shows up and so Everything is fine at this point for me.2 weeks after we get married, and I’ve been wearing this brand new ring for 2 weeks a diamond falls out. Unbelievable. So while I’m at the store front getting it checked in I asked the lady how it would look if they put the two rings together. Not only did she treat me like I was stupid for not knowing, but then when I was trying to clarify what she told me she looked at me and gave me the most condescending “oh HEAVENS no why would it ever look like that” I turned around and looked at my husband and he was in shock at how she was acting. Anyways, they gave us a “promised” date to have the ring back by. 15 days! I was shocked it was going to take that long but also relieved because we had family pictures planned for the next day and so I would have my ring back!Well 2 weeks has come and gone now with no word about my ring. I called the store this morning and she told me that they were just now working on my ring. Should be done today (by the day that it was promised to be back to me) and hopefully we would have it by Friday or early next week. And supposedly they had a lot of customers whose jewelry was late getting back to them, so it’s not just me that they treat this poorly if you were thinking that I just have bad luck.If I could give this store 0 stars I would. That’s what they deserve. The quality of their jewelry is comparable to their service to their customers... poor.
Just stopped by this location to pick up a fathers day/ birthday gift for my husband. The employee who was helping me (short hair, larger, white woman) walked away and started helping other customers in the middle of my transaction. I have always felt this location had horrible customer service and was rude. I guess my money wasnt good enough for them. Ill drive the additional 20 minutes to overland park!
This place is top notch and they treat everyone who comes in their store the right way! We have had some maintenance done here, and we even took a watch that was a gift and purchased elsewhere, but they helped to get it sized correctly. Thank you!

I had A Very Bad Experense with the Manager Jessica! She is Very Untrustworthy! She says one thing and then changes her mind! Very Unprofessional! And to top it off Customer Service people are rude and refussed to listen to me when I was tring to report the Manager Jessica! I have been a customer with Kays for years and spent Alot of money with them and Now Kays have Lost A Customer for Life! I Will Never Shop Kays again!!
I live all the way in Overland Park but came to this location to order a pair of earrings on MLK Day. I was told that my earrings would arrive in 7-10 business days. Not only did they not arrive in 7-10 business days, but weeks went by and I hadnt heard a single thing from Kays. I called the business multiple times to speak to the manager that assisted me that day, but was told she was unavailable on numerous occasions and despite leaving messages and my information, she never returned a single call of mine. Finally after calling a final time, I got ahold of the new assistance manager who revealed that the earrings were never ordered in the 1st place because they werent available. This was never told to me. To add insult to injury, a $250 hold had been placed on my card for the order that was never placed. To make matters worse, I was told that she would email me the information about the manager that failed to communicate with me so that I could make a formal complaint, however; that email never came either. In the end I am left without a product I was told that I would receive, I was never communicated with regarding any of the problems that occurred, and I had to call repeatedly to get answers and was denied the basic information to formally share my negative experience. I am appalled by this treatment and disappointed in the inability of Kays to make this right. I have spent thousands at this particular location and this is how they treat valued customers. Save your money and avoid this location. Customer service is clearly not a priority to them.
