Recent experience was nowhere near satisfaction, or somehow beyond disappointment. The maintenance was out, elevator was having problem over the past couple months, and now the water shut off without notification, so is the electricity. And it seems like that the front desk cares nothing other than saying I told you its out, then theres nothing they are willing to say or help.Im surprised by the rate they are putting up. In the near future, we will move out for sure! The management team is not doing anything!
You are more likely to see a scampering cockroach across your countertops than appreciate anything luxurious as their site advertises. This place gets 2 stars on location alone, but management is not friendly and the building needs a facelift.
Living in Vista is always a pleasant experience. Ciera and front desk staffs are very friendly; they helped me settle down when I moved to KC knowing nobody. Location is unbeatable: close to KU hospital and west 39 street(walking distance). Safe and convenient. Downstairs restaurant Vietnam Cafe is a plus. Work order can be placed online and get addressed in a timely manner. If you want to have a nice and tranquil life in KC, 10/10 recommend here.
Living at Vista was EASILY the best resident experience I have ever had. Ciera and the front desk staff are attentive and friendly. I liked how close you are to everything. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great building that’s at the heart of everything.
Most of the reviews below are old. My stay at Vista Condominiums was absolutely remarkable. Overall the building is very safe and clean. All other tenants are very kind. The wow factor of the property is the staff and management. They are also welcoming and friendly and responsive to your needs. Recommend staying here!
Had a wonderful 2 years here. The staff was always there to answer my questions or help address any of my concerns. It is incredibly close to the medical center and made getting to classes super easy. I enjoyed how close to campus it was and it’s element of safety. Would definitely recommend :)
I have lived at Vista for over 3 years and have seen major improvements to the building. The new maintenance man is great and management is quick to respond to needs/questions its sad some people are so harsh with change. Great location and recommend to anyone needing to be close to downtown or KUMC!
Vista offers a wonderful array of features in addition to a convenient location, perfect for an aspiring health student. Covered parking, Google fiber internet, and proximity to the medical campus, provide unappreciated time and cost saving qualities that complement the pool and other amenities. In my opinion it offers one of the best overall packages in the area, at least for the duration of my stay and the management went above and beyond to accommodate a relative with malignancy for her treatments at the hospital; compassionate flexibility. Outstanding overall experience
I was planning on moving here this past summer but the manager was so dishonest and rude to us. Basically she tried to screw us over, and our friends that live there told us that’s pretty typical of the new manager. We had heard great things about this place in the past but apparently when they got a new manager the place fell apart and has turned into an overpriced hole in the wall! Do not recommend!
Vista Condos is amazing; it’s by far the best place I’ve lived. I moved in less than 6 months ago and have already renewed for another year. The most important thing for me is how safe it feels. There is convenient parking for tenants and their guests, friendly neighbors and staff, and it’s an easy walk to KU Med Center. The building has tons of amazing amenities, it’s pet friendly, and it’s so easy to pick up packages and submit maintainence requests. Staff is always on site during normal business hours and communication and response times are great. It really feels like the staff is willing to go above and beyond for residents.
Vista Condominiums was my home for 6 years during graduate school, and I dont think I could have chosen better. The staff and managers are very friendly and courteous. In particular, having somebody at the front desk at all times was amazing for getting assistance at odd hours and for taking packages. Over my time there I got to know several of the staff members well, and the community made it feel like a home rather than just some city apartment. The location is perfect if you are an employee or student at KUMC - you live closer than many of the KUMC parking lots. The building itself is very nice, and they regularly make improvements to the amenities. Occasionally some maintenance issues will show the buildings age, but they were on top of anything that came up during my time there. Highly recommended.
Wish there was more parking but thats been a thing everywhere I have lived downtown. Great security and staff. Ciera and Robin are wonderful and truly care about their residents.
Someone emails me back fast, i am close to school, and the building feels safe. I would recommend to anyone going to KUMC or living downtown.
Walking to class and the staff has been my favorite part about living at Vista. the swimming pool is amazing
Love vista! It has so many amenities! Love the yoga and pilates room.
I really love this place highly recommended, views are awesome of the city .
These reviews are out of date. This is being renovated into amazing new condos with crisp clean lines and beautiful flooring. Look into this yourself before believing these reviews, most of which are not current.
Vista offers amazing place to live and staff!
Many of the reviews are outdated. Heres one current as of September 2014.Summary: The Vista is a great place to live, particularly if you are affiliated with KUMC and/or want to be close to downtown.Location (5/5): Across the street from KUMC and the KU Hospital. Five minutes to Westport and Country Club Plaza. Ten minutes to downtown. Fifteen minutes to Oak Park Mall. The neighborhood isnt the greatest, but its on the rise. Five Guys, 7-Eleven, etc. have opened recently. The 39th & State Line area (a couple blocks away) is very quaint and there are lots of nice restaurants and shops there.Parking (5/5): I have my own assigned parking spot. I feel safe parking my car in the lot.Apartment (4.5/5): To my knowledge all apartments have been recently remodeled. They feature tile/wood/carpeted floors, granite countertops, brushed nickel fixtures, and new kitchen appliances. The apartments are VERY quiet, apparently due to the concrete structure of the building. I have literally never heard any of my neighbors. Closet space is outstanding. I took off a half-star due to my toilet not flushing consistently (still hoping this gets fixed). Everything else has either worked perfectly, or was fixed quickly when it didnt. Every apartment is wired for Google Fiber. You can have food delivered directly to your front door.Amenities (5/5): There is a pool, exercise room, theater room, yoga room, and boardroom. The lobby has free coffee. The front desk staff will sign for packages on my behalf, meaning I dont have to be home to receive shipments. The laundry room is large (8-10 washers and dryers) and clean; Ive never had to wait for a washer or dryer. You can check out a large storage locker on the ground floor. There are two elevators which work well but get busy during peak usage hours.Staff (5/5): Robin, the front desk staff, and the maintenance crew do a great job.
Need to upgrade your bs about 24 hour security
Incompitent management. By definition this complex has no management. Shut off water once a month with no notice.
