Love the rooftop patio... Staff was responsive to our requests... Would love an expanded menu & reverse happy hour
I went during happy hour and we traveled upstairs to the terrace area. We were able to enjoy the great outdoors under the large canopy style covering. There was another area which offered a fuse ball game and extra seating. The view, weather and ambience was nice for the break of Spring. The downstairs area was a much more dim restaurant/bar atmosphere. After placing our order, my palate popped for the flavorful selection of food we enjoyed eating. We ordered the Broiled Butterfly Shrimp which were moist, tender and delicious. Also, we had the Chicken Tinga Nachos which was a generous helping which was layered on a platter...looked like a mountain...tasty! The Sweet Potatoes Waffle fries were served in a tin cup and they were light, fluffy and you could not each just one...Yum.Additionally we had the Chicken Quesadillas which did not disappoint. All the food items were on point and no long wait. To quench our thirst, we order a pitcher of the White Peach Sangria, which had just the right amount of peaches, oranges and cherries... light and refreshing. Our waitress Kenna was pleasant and continued to follow up with us to see if we were okay. Also, another waitress joined in to assist and help out her peer. Covid-19 procedures are in place and the visit was Worth the while! Thanks for an enjoyable and pleasant surroundings.
I usually have a great time at the well. Went for happy hour on a Monday - so plenty of seating. Sat upstairs, outside. I love the view you have of Waldo from up there. They have a smaller game section with bags and jenga if you wish. Our server was attentive. Decent beer selection and the food has been good in the past.
We started off with a waitress who was trying to end her shift so a little scatterbrained explaining the menu items like soup of the day... then she switched us over to Connor and he was attentive, patient, quick with service and just LOOK at my meal. The crunchiness of the cauliflower rice and the seasoning of the salmon was ON POINT. I have ringing in my ears, and had a hard time with table conversation with the background music, although sometimes that can be a good thing, depending on the company.
Not quite 4 because of the loud forgetfulness of the waitress. She blew it. She was unpredictable and unprepared. Nothing to write our orders down with just taking it by memory. I knew it needed to be written, it was a complicated order from me and a simpler one from my uncle yet. She said sheed get it right...nope!Then wait another 20 minutes service her to return because she decided to SIT with customers and be obnoxiously louder than everyone in the restaurant. Not kidding. So the ambiance was cool, pleasant crowd, good food, just bad server. Really bad. That makes 2 trips with bad servers. Everything else was awesome!
Service was good, food not so much. They had steak and fries on special for the day. Mine was way overdone, with about a third inedible and charred to a crisp. My husbands was a little overdone for his liking but he seemed to be okay with it.The fries were good. The meal was nothing to write home about and certainly not anything that will have us hurrying back again.
I feel like this place used to be good but has gone downhill. The quality of the ingredients is just not good. The grilled chicken is chewy and rubbery every time. Our carry out order has multiple things missing every time. Will not be eating or ordering from here again.
Great evening on the rooftop! I had the philly. The sandwich was delicious. Everyone else said their meals were great, too!
We had a great dinner at the Well. The view, service and food were all amazing. We had the steak dinner and salmon special. The food and drinks were all very good. We plan on going back again tomorrow night!
Went here last night. Was seated at a high top inside. Waited for over 10 minutes and no one came over to even ask if we wanted water. Saw multiple waiters standing by the bar just talking. Decided to leave and go over to social. Got a drink right away and appetizer in less than 15 minutes. Don’t think I’ll be going back here, used to like it.
Great beer selection. Good happy hour specials and the food is awesome. Rooftop is a bonus
I enjoyed myself here...good food & nice atmosphere! For those that like there drinks strong this is your kind of spot!!! They didnt get a five star rating because they were packed & the service paid for it! Plus I feel like the actual food selection is limited! But what we ended up with was good!
Havent found an entrée here i dont enjoy - great menu choices, tasty alcoholic drink options, and the perfect rooftop for late summer happy hours
An excellent place to gather w/friends or take a date. Good food and drinks
Nice patio action, good drinks and food. Great place to meet up with friends or first date
Came in with a group of African Americans. While we are seated quickly service was slow. Our waitress was on her first day but no one assisted her with our group of 11. As I watched other people get seated and served as we waited I was disappointed. The other tables were tended by more than 1 server as our table continued to get subpar service. Our drinks or dishes were never cleared and I gave up on ordering another drink. My first and last time here.
We sat on the rooftop. Staff was friendly. We ended up with a new server. He did a great job. Food was very good. Lots of choices. Worth a second try.
A very nice place to eat a nice variety of food & drinks.... and on a comfortable evening, a VERY nice place to enjoy yourself up on the rooftop....laid back and casual.
When you come to The Well, ask for Connor, hands down the best Server Ive ever had.
Had a great experience, with a smashing good lunch, a super friendly and customer conscious waitress and bartender on staff, and the perfect price point. superb food!
A fun place to meet with friends or coworkers. They make a great Old Fashioned. They also offer a nice selection on the food menu.
This had to be one of the best cooked steaks Ive ever had. Will go back every chance I get!
We used to come here another for happy hour. Im done with them after tonights experience. They charge for refills on soda. The double tall drinks are served in a skinny tall glass, no way is double the size of a regular drink. They charge for an extra salsa now. We accidentally left our left overs on the table. The wife didnt eat but 2 of her wings because she was drinking. We called told them we were on the way back to get the left overs. They threw them out and didnt tell us on phone so we drove back for no reason. So the manager instead of being apologetic and he was a jerk. He said its been a tough year. Yes no reason for me to continue to support them if an order of wings breaks their bank
Really good food nice place to go and have drinks and good food after a long day or week of work and sit out on the deck and chill with your family or friends.
Food is pretty good. I can say that much. I just feel like every time I try/do to eat here something always is wrong or occurs. Oh there’s an entry charge cause we have a band tonight although the you’re not here for the band. Dirty dishes and wine glasses. Ran my card for someone else in my party’s meal. Today, they’re not doing call-in/carry-out orders cause “the kitchen got backed up and is busy” but also “sure you can come in and eat” and still wait for your meal to come to your table as if it’s be any different to sit at home and wait until pick up time. It’s just always something here. Not sure why I even continue to try.
Always love this place, food is always so good, chicken tenders are a must to get, love the seasonal beers and the rooftop
Nice place to stop for a drink. Didnt eat, but the food smelled good
Ive been here twice now and I have to say its my new go-to spot for good drinks and food. The bar is simple but inviting. The rooftop is ideal for warm or hot days and is a nice change of pace from eating indoors. I visited this past weekend with my sisters. Our waitress was beyond accomodating and so friendly.
Went to the well for the first time today and asked the hostess if we could sit outside since it was a beautiful day. She said sorry I was just upstairs and there wasn’t anything available. We said alright no problem, then where she sat us was right by the outside patio on the main floor and there were clearly tables outside. And as we were sitting there we then watched her seat people upstairs on the patio. It was just so bizarre. Also there were 3, dirty tables with food plates on them next to us that had no been bused the whole time we were there which was around a hour. And another waitress was folding silverware while those tables just stayed dirty. A different waitress finally told the her to clean off the tables. And the hostess would occasionally grab a dirty plate off the table and then go back and sit behind the hostess stand.Overall just a strange experience. The food was good and our waiter was good, but not sure this is a place I would go back to.
This place was excellent. I highly recommend the Philly cheese steak. I like the thin fries too. My one complaint is that its noisy to the point it was difficult to hear conversation even though it wasnt very busy yet. Some sound absorbing materials would greatly benefit the place.
Decent food and service. Josh was a very attentive and sweet server. Prime Rib sandwich was tasty but a bit fatty. The green beans were not well seasoned but thank goodness for that small bit of bacon bits. The butternut bisque was creamy and delicious but it had walnuts in it, so be warned there are nuts in it. The ahi tuna was seared and served with a light salad. It was a good experience and Restaurant Week made it a good value lunch.
I had come in for an early brunch after a mass at my local parish nearby. I was treated very nicely by the hostess, and she sat us down on the rooftop. It was the perfect temperature for an early breakfast on the rooftop. The rooftop is one of the best I’ve been to at restaurants with the grass area to walk around on and the TVs surrounding up top. I was amazed when I bit into my food with the flavors they contained in them. I was surprised at how much my waitress was still visiting my party up top, and I was very thankful for it. It was an overall great experience and has become my family’s favorite brunch spot in the city.
One of my favorite bars in Waldo! The service, food, drinks & prices are always good.
We had our own bubble on the roof top deck, so it was beautifully social distanced. The staff was incredible, Michaela was amazing and prompt! Food and drinks were delicious! Very very Happy!
What a great place. The rooftop deck is fantastic. Great service and really good food.
The veggie burger is fantastic, would highly recommend it for any vegetarians out there!
Love their nachos! Super nice servers!
Good service and interesting foods. The poutine was good, the sandwich, the Mahomes, a burger with Mac and cheese, cheese curds, onion rings, tator tots and cheese, is just so absurd it works, it clogs your ventricles, but it works. Not huge fan of fried ice cream but it was alright. I would definitely recommend going here for a lunch.
Tonight was my first time at this establishment and I was disappointed with the service. The food was good but my service was terrible. After receiving our food I noticed that our waitress checked on 3 other tables around us 2 or 3 times before she came over to see if we needed anything. We had to get up and ask for silverware and napkins. I needed more salsa and jalapeños for my nachos but by the time she finally came over we were almost finished eating. I ordered a drink the Yule Log and my drink never came. I had to find the waitress to get the check so that I could pay. And I had to go up to her to take my check to pay out on my order. I was very disappointed with the service.
Service is subpar. Drinks are overpriced. And food was really good.
Absolutely great. Good drinks. Good view. Good service. Good food. New fave place
Visited in the evening in late October and wanted to sit on the rooftop and have dinner with out-of-town friends. We did sit on the rooftop but there were no heaters and only some tables have fires. Without any heaters we sat with our coats on and were cold. It seems their rooftop area is more for ambience then warmth. But it was pretty up there so I would go back on a warmer night. They told us for winter they are putting up a big tent and decorating the inside for the holidays which sounds nice.
My girlfriend ordered the chared steak and it was more burnt than anything, she ordered it med rare and it was beyond well done (its the only steak they serve and they ruined it? How?) they only offered half off of the steak she didnt/couldnt eat, the nachos were good but the meat tasted like it was a week old and kind of bland and the burger I ordered was pretty good. The atmosphere was fratboys, theyre fratboy alumni dads, and granddads, with their trophy wives and party girls as far as the eye could see, all while I couldnt figure out the theme (divy sports bar maybe?). We paid $5-7 for a plastic cup of beer (no prices or sizes on the drink menu!?!) the sever was pretty unattentive but very nice. The most disappointing part is that they put themselves off as a high end hip kinda of place with nice food and fancy drinks but we didnt get any of that, hopefully it was an off night and we can have a better experience next time, because the rooftop patio/bar was pretty amazing
Went for the NYE bash and had a ball! Had a reserved fire pit which kept us nice and warm. Our server Michael was very attentive from the moment we sat down to the moment we left. He was amazing! The food is good especially the nachos. The chicken tenders were ok and kind of light on the seasoning. Overall we had a great time and will definitely be back.
Great wait staff, was there for a wedding rehearsal dinner. Good appetizers and dinner.
Its usually a cool experience for brunch. However the bar staff was unattentive tonight. We had to consistently get up and grab the attention of the bar staff (We moved from the bar to a high top), I guess when the waiter in that section seen we had beers, he decided not to inquire if we would like to continue our tab with him. I tried the Caprese Chicken, which was drowning in Balsamic. Definitely took away from the flavor. Mixed drinks are WEAK.
My husband and I went there for the 1st time and sat at the roof top and Jenna was our waitress and the service and food and atmosphere was great.. YOU GOTTA TRY THE MAC DADDY!!! Soooooo good 😋
Love their Buffalo chicken strips!
Ordered quesadilla didn’t like it way too cheesy made me feel sick.. waiters rarely came.. different ppl kept coming to our table so it threw me off a bit..wouldn’t recommend or return
Held our team happy hour here, and we had a great time and was very chill.
Great gathering venue. Food, drinks, service and prices are all great.
Awesome food and experience! Good drinks too
Service is very slow. Table had old ketchup on it and on silverware. Most food comes out cold. This place has gone way down hill.
Is fun time enjoyed the staff
Order a steak came out exactly how I ordered it. We had an amazing bartender Aaron who took great care of us. The staff was very friendly.
Its a pretty good atmosphere but the bartenders/wait staff are sort of rude if they feel theyre not going to receive a tip. I mean youre supposed to be polite and helpful to ALL of your employers customers, right?
The service was absolutely awful and the food was cold and over priced. It took an hour and a half for our food to come out and the server rarely refilled our drinks or even checked on our table. Seeing as how our whole table works in the service industry, we expected at least better communication from our server. It also didnt feel like a very inclusive environment being POC and LGBTQIA+ and it made my whole table uncomfortable.
Great service during busy time and food was delicious
It was okay and just fine.!
It makes it so much more comfortable to take your mask off when you are on the roof. The service was great and I really appreciated it. The food was amazing, and the drinks were even better. Go check it out!!!
Great food and drinks along with excellent customer service. I highly recommend this place.
Fun atmosphereFast and friendly serviceDelicious food
Practically perfect in every way. Prompt greeting by the friendly man at the downstairs bar, great seating options upstairs. Micah was an absolute delight! Friendly, attentive service all around. Amazing food, good prices, dope rooftop. I wish I lived here to be a regular.
This place is good but every time I come here they take a ridiculous amount of time to give me my food I have to wait a hour or over a hour.
We had the Restaurant Week lunch specials - steak and chicken. Both were excellent and served hot! They take plenty of Covid precautions. Glad we ventured out!
We love the atmosphere, the food was great
Food was good, not enough staff to serve in a timely way.
Great service, excellent food. The rooftop was really fun.
Great specials and food specials that change everyday
Love the roof deck. Dervice was outstanding and appetizers where good.
I have eaten here twice now and found the food to just be average, the fish and chips and the burger both. I felt that neither wowed me or made me want to eat there again. The fish was good, but the breading was nothing special. The burger was fine, but felt like it mas maybe a preformed frozen patty and very unoriginal. The service was great and I had a pleasant experience but the food was unfortunately not very remarkable for me.
Great food great service really nice rooftop seating
Impeccable service. Very good food and very child friendly. I got this suggested by a buddy because he is friends with the owner. My buddy told me the owner is very nice and the food is very promising.
Picked up doordash, it was late and the bartender was rude. They made me feel unwelcomed.
Absolutely loved the atmosphere. It was 6°outside, but the firepit made it cozy. Great service.
Nice rooftop. Covid friendly and good service.
Excellent back deck atmosphere...friendly service
I’m not sure how a place like this can have higher than a two star rating. My wife and I went there tonight and it was a total mistake. We both ordered two cocktails and shared a plate of nachos and it was the most unsatisfying $60 I’ve ever spent. The quality of the nachos was laughable for being $14 (large). Abysmally minimal toppings and awful chips made the nachos worth more like $7. The horse feathers were decent but shy on liquor, you can’t really mess up ginger beer. The kicker is that I got the Jameson Palmer and it was outrageously awful and I can’t believe I was charged for it. The drink had no flavor at all and it was as if it was made by an infant who doesn’t know how to steep tea or make lemonade, let alone know how much alcohol to add to a drink for it to matter. Tonight was an experience that I left mad, wishing I made an issue about it. If you just want beer, this is a place that may work for that. However if you are wanting anything in the realm of quality, you’re better off spending $15 more dollars at an legitimate bar than to shell out money just to be ripped off by mediocrity. Such a mistake, worst bar I’ve been to in years.
Never eaten here, but had delivery once from this establishment. I ordered a chicken quesadilla, but the person who entered my order (Jodeci) hit the wrong button & I wound up with nachos. Normally not a big deal, but nachos dont travel well, so they were pretty gnarly by the time they arrived. Everything else was pretty good, but the Mac&Chz could have stood more cheese, considering the price. When Covid19 calms down, Ill give them a shot in person.
Service 11. food 11. Atmosphere 8. A liitle loud and breezy inside.Definately on the radar for another time.
Food was awesome!!! Always have a great time here.
The waitress was very pleasant and good at her job. The atmosphere very nice and relaxing after a long days work. Not too crowded. The food was delicious. Well definitely be repeat customers.
Service was nice. Atmosphere welcoming.Restaurant week special was tuff but not enough to keep me from returning.
Id say this is more of a drinks and app place as it would be a sit down entree kinda place. The upper deck patio is a plus but the poor servers have to go downstairs for everything during the slow hours. Made our afternoon feel a little underwhelming. That said the happy hour looks amazing and we will definitely try again.
Ive been to have drinks and it was great.I went for a bite to eat while the place was 80% full of reservations. If you hear that just leave because they are focused on whatever group is there. We had to get own menu, grab people to take our order. We sat on rooftop, which I advise not to sit on the rooftop. Bar doesnt work upstairs.Summary: go here for drinks and stay downstairs. Good for drinks, not a meal. If they are full with reservations downstairs just leave.
They charged 3.00 for a mask if you don’t have one. No restaurant does that. You’re going in to eat and drink and spend money and they charge u for a Mask. 3.00 is ridiculous. They Could of least charged you the cost of the mask instead of marking it up 200 %.
Went to eat here the other day while it was slow.Went to the bar in the hopes of quick service but was ignored by the bartender for about 15 min.We then asked if we would get a waitress if we sat at the table directly behind us and the hostess assured us we would.we waited another 10 minutes without being greeted to see a table come in and sit at the table next to us to be greeted within 2 min but we were still ignored.needless to say we got up and left after 25 min.
