I cannot express how great my experience has been here. I went in for something I thought was going to be a huge costly fix, and Wayne and his team fixed the problem so easily, fairly priced and efficient. They wanted to check my car after 1000 miles, so I went in without an appointment and was done within 5 minutes. During this second check, Wayne noticed my plates were expired, did the inspection and prevented me from getting a ticket. I got my plates renewed 20 minutes later, and am all smiles today. Thanks Wayne and team! You have a customer for life in me!

I have been blown away by the customer service and courtesy of this place. Its always hard to know who to trust, and when you are a young woman taking care of your own car, youre always a little bit hesitant when you take your car to a new place.But Mikes came recommended to me by another young woman whos been using them for years, and she was totally right. Their prices are amazing, so much cheaper than the other places that I have tried, and I love that they always let me know ahead of time what is going on with my car. It helps me to plan for future expenses- For example, letting me know when I get my tires rotated that it will be the last rotation so that I know to budget for new tires next time. I drive over 70 mi a day, so my car is very important to me. These guys have earned a customer for life!

Went there to get a vehicle inspected and they listed things that werent even wrong with it. They also charged my for a oil change and didnt even change my oil I doubt they rotated my tires after changing me for that either. They also forgot to give me my wheel covers back until I mentioned it

They do good work relatively fast and are knowledgeable but you definitely pay for it.$70 to scan a code when you can buy your own scanner for half that is a fleece. Cost given over the phone didnt include all the charges so it was about $100 more than I expected going in to pick up my vehicle.

Needed an inspection. They were available and did it super fast. Straight forward and pleasant. Highly recommend!

I called randomly and last minute for an inspection, I was able to get an appointment next morning. The service was quick, they were able to fix one problem on the spot and gave me a really good recommendation to fix the other problem. They were incredibly friendly, the office was clean, based on this experience I will probably be coming back for service beyond inspections.

I brought my car in for repair. It turned out to be a bad water pump. I was quoted $710. I thought that was a high estimate, so I inquired elsewhere and was quoted $450 which I thought was more reasonable. I had the car towed to the 2nd shop. Mikes wouldnt release the car unless I paid a $49 diagnostic fee. The diagnostic entailed reaching down and turning a pulley wheel and noting no antifreeze in the system.This place might not be bad for oil changes and inspections, but seems to be about it.

Vehicle was well taken care of. Plenty of services offered and any that are not, the staff can point you in the right direction. The best staff of an automotive service center I have encountered. They do stay busy so you know it is a quality shop. Call ahead to make an appointment to make any work done a breeze.

I had to get an odometer reading on a car I had purchased in order to tag it. I didnt know that until I got to the DMV just down the street and waited in line for over an hour. I got to Mikes 2 minutes after their closing time but they did me the favor of completing this anyway and I was able to hurry back down the hill and get everything squared away. Saved the day and Ill be coming back when I need auto service!

Went in for an oil change, to have a tire plugged and the brakes checked out. When I went to pick up the car, there was a $49 checkout fee on the bill that was not discussed. Rob took that off and completed the transaction.After leaving, I reviewed the bill further and found an oil fill cap charge on there I also did not authorize. Went back in to find out what that was and was told mine was broken and they replaced it. I was also informed by Rob it sounded like I didnt need to come back.I walked out, put my child that was with me in the car and went back in.I told Rob that this was not acceptable and he needed to refund the $12. While getting the money out he began a verbal assault on me, using many words that I can not repeat here.I will never go back there and encourage everyone else to stay away.

A little bit on the expensive side but good work.Regarding service, was about 7 minutes late to an appointment because of rain and work, did not accommodate at all. Ive seen doctors offices take people who are 15-30 minutes late (even an hour). Other places would at least try to work you in. I would have understood if the garage looked full but it did not look full and there were two guys just standing and talking. To be fair I was a 7 minutes late. Otherwise, never really had a problem with the work.

Ive been going to Mikes for about 10 years. Im a single woman with no family in KC, so integrity means everything to me. There have been times Ive taken my car in for a particular service, and had them call me back & say I didnt need it. They could have easily made $ from me, but didnt. When I call around to compare pricing, theyre usually one of the most reasonable. Theyre definitely my first choice when needing work done.

Mikes always takes care of us and shoots us straight on what is and isnt wrong. Their pricing is also very competitive and the staff there is excellent and flexible to work with depending on what you need. I cant recommend Mikes enough.

My Dodge van was experiencing sever drivability issue. I took it to Dodge, they charged me 800+ for a tune up and it did not solve the issue. I took it to these guys and they had it fixed with a reasonable explanation and the price was very reasonable. I actually want to pay more simply because they were very fair ans honest. A rare breed this place is.

My wife took her car there for Missouri inspections and they tried to scam us for repairs that didn’t need to be done. There was nothing wrong with the ‘defective part’ and was absolutely within operating specifications upon re-inspection. I found this out after I had ordered the parts. Furthermore, after reading the Missouri Motor Vehicle Safety Inspection Regulations Manual- they didn’t even follow state regulations on proper documentation of the problem they claimed the car to have. Dishonest repair shop! Never take your vehicle to this place because it would seem to be they’re just looking for gravy work!

Theyll do a good job and theyll treat you right, especially if youre a repeat customer. Ive never felt pressured by any of their mechanics or reps to get any repair done. They give you straight-talk about your car, but theyre never pushy. The prices arent rock-bottom, but if youre like me youll put a premium on skill and honesty.

My wife took her recently purchased car to Mike’s because the tail lights were not working and because there was an oil leak. She explained that the car keeps blowing fuses thus there is an electrical problem. They needed to keep the car over night so we rented a car.When they called her to come and take the car, they said that they fixed the tail lights by replacing the fuse. Great, $25.50 labor and a $2 part. When she got home, she saw that they installed a 30 amp fuse and not a 10 amp fuse as specified. FIRE HAZARD!!!! She called Mike’s to get an explanation and the mechanic said that it would take too long to find the electrical problem so they took the easy way out and installed the wrong size fuse. They offered to refund the $27.50. They turned her car into a traveling fire hazard because they didn’t want to take the time to fix it properly, but, she got back the $27.50.WE WILL NOT GO TO MIKE’S SERVICE CENTER AGAIN.

Explained an unknow problem, they investigated and 6 hours later it was fixed at a great price...

Mike and his crew work on my fleet van from work and always do a great fast job and take care of it. I use it daily for work and cant afford to be down and Mike and the boys make sure that happens.Recommended! A++++

Stay Away! I asked Rob, the owner, about a charge on my invoice, it was wiper fluid. I had just filled it a week ago and had not drove the car often. He said it was a common extra charge. I agreed, if it was needed, or if the customer would be told about it prior to charging it. He became aggressive and threatening. This is fraud, and even if it is a small amount its wrong. He doesnt deserve your money, business, or time. People like him are whats wrong with the automotive industry, hes simply put, a crooked thief.

Called all around trying to find an eagle alloy wheel that I need. Could not find one anywhere then I located mikes service and gave them the information about the wheel and 3 days I had the exact wheel I needed.Thanks to Mikes service center recommend all the way.

I took my car in to have the waterpump and drive belt replaced. They completed the repairs before the promised time and at the price they quoted. The parts and labor were a fair price and the work looks to be done very well. I will use them in the future and would recommend them to others.

I called them for some tires on my camaro. They were the cheapest in town. They had it in stock while others said it would take days to order. I was late (1 1/2 hours) to my Appointment due to the tow company. I called that morning and asked if they would do a oil change also. Despite me being late, asking for an additional service, they started working on my car through their lunch break! I also saved $45 on each tire. Recommend!

I cannot begin to say enough about this shop! They are trustworthy and fantastic. I went in once and asked them to tell me everything that was wrong with my car... which usually gives a shop carte blanche to rake you over the coals but they said my new tires fixed all my vibration issues and I didnt need any additional work. Since then, theyve consistently gone way beyond the call of duty and theyll have me as a customer for as long as Im in the city.

I only went to Mikes because of its proximity to the Parkville DMV. Unfortunately, I found the crew to be condescending and unflexible with their schedule. Found it to be a waste of time and money.When I arrived for my state car inspection (after waiting a week to work around their schedule) they tried to charge me close to $400 dollars to install a car part I had never heard of. My instincts said to go to another dealership.So, I took my car to another reputable dealership and they said the car was in great condition. Passed the state inspection with flying colors. This leads me to believe Mikes was searching for reasons to charge me more money.Be warned, not worth your time and money. Frustrating experience.

I had been a loyal customer because I thought I always had been treated fairly. Today, after picking up a $600+ repair job, I dropped off another car for a MVI, knowing Id need wiper blades. The cost for inspection and service was $45. High, but I was expecting an add on for the blades. Except, another $15 charge had been added for battery service, as they had cleaned some corrosion off the battery cables. Sounds a bit excessive to me and like work youd want to comp a loyal customer for, not pad their bill with.Misunderstanding was resolved with a phone call from Mikes. My okay to fix any little problem (that would have been needed for the inspection) was interpreted wrongly on their part as meaning go ahead with any little problem. They are sending a check for the $15 and Im again a satisfied customer.

I worked at this establishment for a month. The lifts havent been inspected in years, the shop is filthy. Also, the man that runs the place is very two faced. I have seen him lie to customers ro make more money off of them. Very sketchy place, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO MIKES!!!
