Giving one star because i called to see if they were income based because i see someone respond back to a review saying they are and to call kathy so i did and asked and said no they arent like i was wrong for asking about what i saw. I have a place i was calling for my mother so i believe the bad reviews cause its already lies and attitude.

I Just recently moved in over here and I love it, the staff is very nice and friendly everything in my unit was very clean and updated I plan to stay here for a few years until I am ready to buy me a house. Great place to live even the residents are nice and friendly :)

After reading all of these reviews recent and past, I know Im gonna pass on this apartment complex. Theses reviews really do loose your company money. You should make these tenants living experience as great as you want your own in your homes!! Without customers you have no jobs no business!!

Living there was one of the worst experiences of my life. The staff was very unprofessional, not friendly or organized. The harassment from neighbors and roaches from neighbors was enough to drive anyone crazy. Trash dumpsters overflowing, maintenance problems that were not taken care of in a timely manner or correctly. Never any place to park whether you had a carport or not!!! Staff has peoples cars towed if you have company or people parking in the lot to visit. But staff parks in handicapped spots and tenant parking spots. Area not safe. Break ins are normal and staff just walk into your place when they want. They dont set your alarm back when they come in while you work and deny coming in. Any complaints to the Yarco company end with you being more upset than you was when you called. They always side with the staff and call you names or just dont answer your calls and emails at all. Trust me, just say no!!!!!

So you want the Bridgeport experience huh? Grab some popcorn and a Tylenol because you will need it!Paying rent on time means nothing you will still be treated like garbage until management works with yarco to find a loophole to illegally evict you. Pay for carports you might and might not get to use daily and the office does nothing about it because they park in resident and handicapped parking spaces. Cars parking on the lawn and garbage all over the grounds.Neighbors with loud obnoxious children running around like animals, jumping and thumping over your head all night.Music blasting at all hours of the night like its the movie Animal House. Dogs barking all night on apartment balconies because crickets are out. The security force is actually the sound of sirens blaring as cops rush to a local shooting in the surrounding area.There are nightly shootings in the apartments coming from the balconies sounding like a western film. You cannot report property issues to the office or they will put your life in danger by telling the person who you are and where you live.The maintenance staff were like three stooges but now it is just one stooge who is dumber. I once called in a work order for my garbage disposal smelling like sewage and no water draining. The doofus maintenance guy shows up four months later and says maybe its your fuse box, leaves, and never comes back. What a moron! An inspection is when the staff comes once a year to look at everything the maintenance guys have not fixed since you signed the lease. The assistant manager Carmika chews and smacks bubble gum all ghetto in your ear when you call the office before she hangs up in your face. The manager Kathy is like a female Vladimir Putin. She yells at tenants, threatens people with eviction, claims no one but her knows what they are talking about, she threatens people with violence, writes nasty letters to tenants, and gives no courtesy calls on personal or professional issues. If you are lucky you might find an office letter from her floating around on the lawn because they do not call you to pick it up nor do they hand it to you. MOVE THERE IF YOU DARE!!

I have childhood friends that have grown up in the apartments. Eight years ago When I asked their opinions of if I should move to Bridgeport for my first apartment, They all said that it was clean property, the rent was decent, and it is a great place to live. Boy how things must have fallen since my friends lived there. The apartments themselves would be great if maintenance actually came out to do proper repairs.Β They act clueless about minor things. Most things were either never fixed or other things were broken in the process by maintenance. The management staff was rude, disrespectful, and only seem to care about money. I once called in the same work orders FOUR times and although my rent was never late, if I asked to please have maintenance come by, I would be yelled at and the phone would click in my face. The staff is rude on the phone and hangs up in your face. If you walk in a written work order, they smile and act like they did not just hang up on you, AND the work rarely gets done. The property manager Kathy is unprofessional and threatens either to have you beaten up or evicted. I asked for a copy of my lease and Kathy told me I would notified when it was ready. Two days later I come home to find my lease copy outside of my door soaked from rain. There were no missed calls or emails from the office. I was not happy! There is often garbage on the grounds, no insulation in units which makes winter nearly unbearable. I think if there was a better more competent staff that cared about the tenants then it would be great to live there. Unfortunately........NOT!

Do not move to any property owned by yarco properties. These people do not see you as anything but a dollar sign. I live at Bridgeport apartments. They give off a weird creepy energy while you are signing the lease. Had I went with my gut during the lease signing I would have got up and ran out of the office. The manager Kathy sat in her office glaring at me through the blinds. The assistant manager Carmika stood in the doorway staring at me with her arms folded and had a evil grin like she was a part of some wicked inside joke. The property grounds keeper Charles just comes and goes making tasteless jokes about women on the property. Its worse that the ones in the office think its funny. They had a group huddle in Kathys office to say cruel despicable and hateful things about residents. While signing my lease I overheard them literally plotting on ways to evict someone they do not like.I have not lived here long and have had the worst experience. Maintenance rarely shows up and when they do show up I get told they will come back after they get a part. They do not come back. The maintenance leader Brian is the only one to fix things but he mainly coaches the other maintenance guy Mark. The maintenance guy Mark does not know how to fix anything and thinks its funny to never return to do repairs. He does not know how to fix anything and you are better off repairing it yourself. Bugs come from a neighbors apartment and the office does not ever send the exterminator. They will not let me pay for one either. They told me they have a vendor to do exterminating so getting my own is a violation of the lease. What am I to do if they do not ever send the vendor?Staff and maintenance really like to come in to apartments when you are not home. When they come in you feel violated once coming home and you find things are misplaced broken or missing. Even worse if you call to ask if they have come by and they say they have not but neighbors tell you they have seen them in your place.People steal your laundry in the laundry room and people do drug deals in the apartments parking lot right next to the office and you cannot report anything. What you report to the office gets told to the person you reported by the office staff and your life is in danger. This happened to my neighbor.Staff parks wherever they want and this includes resident spots and handicap spaces. They say you can not have pets but I walk around the complex for exercise in the morning before work and hear whining dogs in townhome garages. Barking dogs in a neighboring apartment keep me up some nights.This yarco person Kia person says to email her so she can assist you. From experience the translation is send her a email so she can redirect you to someone else in yarco who will insult you or ignore your messages while they tell the manager of your complex ways to evict you. When you email this Kia person you get forwarded to the person in charge of complaints and grievances of the yarco property you live on. It does not matter your complaint or issue the yarco person will insult you and give you the run around for days. The end result is them ultimately telling you that the staff can do what they want and yarco can do nothing to help you. I emailed and called yarco for weeks to report everything including staff parking wherever they want. The woman from yarco called me a liar and told me the manager Kathy said I was a problem resident who did not know what I was talking about. She told me the staff can park wherever they want and if I have so many problems then I should move.I do not recommend living at any yarco properties. They are money hungry unprofessional horrible human beings. They need a good old fashioned clean sweep and firing of everyone from top to bottom.

Dont move there unless u can pay for bail and a good manager kathy is so ghetto and unprofessional its crazy that shes in charge of a complex. i got a dozen stories of how they treat people there but only 1 is civil enough to text here. kathy and her team was once in my disabled mommas apartment doing a inspection while i was out with her. my young son was there and kathy was so rude and disrespectful. this woman had the nerve to say the carpet was dirty and looked damaged so talk to her about work orders when we give her money. this same thing happened b4 when it was just my momma and my son there and never when i was there. up to that point i thought we was on friendly terms bc the maintenance crew of mark and mr johnson would come over and sit and talk with me on a regular basis. the carpet in my mommas place was in very used shape bc it looked like it had a rush clean job before my momma moved in to the place and we was told that it would be took care of but it never was. when my child told me how rude kathy was i nearly lost it but had to remember it was my mommas place not mine...I asked around and my mommas neighbors all had stories about kathy and how the place was run. Instead of reading reviews and asking for emails if corporate really cared they would send somebody door to door to ask how management is and they hear how tenants get treated there...it usually takes alot to get me upset but those people know what buttons to push and how to push them...they disrespect u Β your apartment and your children and go on like its business as usual.they wouldnt give me the number to the parent company yarco but when i found it another way it didnt even matter...weeks went by till i got to talk to somebody but b4 that they didnt call back at all. i got to talk to the regional manager who was also named kathy and told her what happened...she came up with some clueless story about how she had no idea what happened. am like okay, well now u have a idea what happened and after talking to others in bridgeport i know i wasnt the only one with problems with management and maintenance so what u guys going to do about it? yes i asked this question and i was told that i would get a call back after she talked to the complex manager. time passed and i got no call but the problems got worse...my neighbors told me that my momma had unannounced visitors from the office within mins after i took her to the doctors..her alarm wasnt turned back on and this happened twice. 1 of her neighbors said the same thing happen to him and after he told the office how upset he was he was soon evicted so i was scared to even say anything till i found her another place first...i cant have my disabled momma out on the streets...i called work orders in for her and they said they would send somebody over who never came but u see maintenance hanging out talking and flirting with women on the property or just walking around doing nothing. i had heard about alot of unsolved suspicious break ins in the complex from former neighbors who came and left while my momma lived there but i had no idea that the ghetto staff could be involved till after reading some of the reviews.... its all too coincidental and after reading other reviews and talking to other tenants they had almost the same stories.yarco dont care about their residents and the managers of their property treat u like crap and they act like gangsters. i thought moving momma out of there would be easy and it would be over but i was wrong....we was told that she owed them money for carpet damage and wouldnt get her deposit back bc of it. if they took care of the carpet like they promised then the carpet wouldnt be damaged in the 1st place. it was in pretty much the same shape it was when she moved in.... i even had it cleaned since the manager kathy wouldnt send a carpet cleaner team over to repair the carpet during my momma stay there. DONT MOVE INTO BRIDGEPORT OR ANY YARCO PROPERTY IF U WANT A SAFE SECURE PLACE TO CALL HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

These are the worst apartments you could go to ever management is terrible Kathy is a horrible human being and maintenance are unprofessional and not knowledgeable . My family had history going back with this apartment 28 years my grandmother recently passed away and not even being in the ground a week Kathy went her grounds keeper over Mr. Johnson to get obituaries to prove my grandmother had passed to inform my dad he had to vacate in 30 days. Sending someone one over pretending to console you and care to only use that trust to turn around and leave a note on a door is very unprofessional and rude. My father asked numerous times to be added to the lease and she stated it was ok she knew he lived there it wasn’t a problem there was no need to do all that paperwork. Not only that the management company Yarco took three voicemails and a email before returning my phone call just to tell me there was nothing they could do. These people came and took precious obituaries under false pretenses to only scan them and use them maliciously. I would call and report maintenance concerns for my grandmother like the microwave or the stove going out or the washing machine that hasn’t been fixed or replaced since she moved in.

My cousin moved into an apartment in this complex and within the first 2 days we noticed a roach infestation. They were scurring across the hardwood floors, out of cracks in the floor boards and out from behind the kitchen applicances.The clean up crew did a horrible job prepping this particular unit for move in state. I dont think they even tried.The leasing agents are untrained to handle cash transactions correctly, they are also horrible representatives for this business.My cousin is unfortunately binded into a lease with this complex, however I STRONGLY advise anybody looking for an apartment to STAY CLEAR AWAY from this place. You will most definitely get better professional service and clean units elsewhere for the same if not cheaper price.

Dont live here ppl...worse management staff i ever dealt with. carmika hughes and kathy ashley are so ratchet....those hoodrats that should be doing hair in a apartment in the projects not in charge of a skc complex. Whoever hired them musta did it over the phone bc they dont even know how to talk to ppl like professionals....straight up ghetto and tryflin. I dont recommend anybody live there with those 2 in charge and only 1 maintenance man who knows how to fix stuff but is too old fat and lazy to get anything done. My whole living experience there was bad and everybody I was friends with at bridgeport wanted to file complaints but dont know how. nobody cares about the ppl just your money.

There is a reason why the best reviews about Yarco properties come from their own employees and the worst come from their residents. This alone should be revealing as to how they do business. They are a family run operation and know nothing about professionalism, decency, compassion or integrity. They only care about your money and will say anything to keep getting it from you. They act like the mafia when you try to get them to fix things and definitely when you try to leave the property. I am not foolish enough to use my real name on here due to being a single mom just trying to keep a roof over my childs head, and how Bridgeport and Yarco have a reputation of bullying and intimidating and evicting residents if you refuse to take the abuse from their staff. You can go to the door step of 90% of the residents on this property and that fact will be validated and residents will tell you that they have waited months and years for repair work to be done.I lived on a Yarco property for years and in those years I had been flooded 3x and after each time I had no new carpet only replaced padding under it. I had no new paint on my walls, the countertop damage from a previous tenant was spray painted over but never repaired, I was disrespected by the manager and her staff, I was burglarized, my car was vandalized, cockroaches invaded my apartment from my neighbors place and I had to self exterminate cause the complex manager refused to send an exterminator over. 2 months later during my inspection she tells me my apartment smells bad and I say it is the bug bombs since you will not send an exterminator. Her exact words were I will send the exterminator when I feel like it. I asked if she thinks that is how a professional is supposed to act and she tells me you know what? dont get beat up. Like really?I contacted corporate to tell them that this is how the property manager of Bridgeport Apartments in Kansas City treats residents and yeah she is still working there. That should say more than enough about how Yarco really feels about their property residents. There is not one person to talk to about how the property is run and every one you can actually get on the telephone does nothing but give you the run around while they try to cover up what is going on. Whoever works for Yarco and is replying to these reviews can save the energy and not waste my time with the same crappy response you are giving to everyone else. No I am not going to send you an email that we both know will not get a response. I have called and emailed Yarco multiple times since living on your property and only one call from Yarco was made to me. Why was it made? It was made because someone at Yarco heard from the property manager and she lied about everything. The Yarco representative only called to insult me and deny my claims then had the nerve to say I dont need to talk to the manager of your complex cause I know her very well and she would never do that. I said I had proof of everything I was reporting to Yarco and these slum lords did not even want to see it or hear about it.I swear if I could have afforded to break the lease and if I had anywhere else to go after my first year I would have been off of their property. I pray for the day that unprofessional people like these and their properties are out of business. I do not recommend any respectable person to rent from these people. I promise that if I could afford an attorney I would be fighting you all in court for all you have done to me and my children.

If u wanna live some where with no roaches no mice and wanna get things fixed in a timely manner with no drama from ur landlord then dont move here. at bridgeport townhomes and villas in kcmo they dont fix nothin before u move in and they fix stuff maybe only 1 time during ur whole stay but they quick to jump all over u about money for every thing they didnt fix when u wanna move out. the most they do is clean ur carpet, use caulk or plaster over holes and leaks bcuz the city says if they see no visible leak then its all good and the property gets no violation. bridgeport make it a habit to do nothin then bully u to make sure they can come in at least a hour before u get inspection from some body else. they do a 10 minute rush repair job of everything u been waitin months for and force the way in ur apartment during ur inspection to control what the inspectors look at and they cleverly try to lead the inspection for the city. they only do the rush clean job to show the city they are up to code but they rarely ever do it at a tenant request. the property manager kathy acts like a loan shark and is never kind or professional or reasonable with u once u sign the lease. the manager she has a quick temper and any or all reach outs to her end the same way with her throwin a tantrum being hot headed andΒ jumping right to intimidation tactics. she runs the property like she has nobody to answer to and if u reach out to the yarco property management company u find out fast that the landlords of yarco properties have nobody to answer to. the managers on yarco properties can do what they want when they want and how they want as long as they keep the money flowin in and use all loop holes to pass city inspections. If u get roaches from ur neighbors apartment and call the office they wont do anything but insult u. I know bcuz i had this problem. I called the office and the woman smacked her lips and said if u got money go to the store and buy some bug spray. I asked to please sign me up for when a exterminator comes out and she said a exterminator wont be coming till next year bcuz he comes once a year and dont ask me to have them come more than once bcuz that costs money. I said my rent costs money and what ur doing is bad business and kathy said ok Ill make a note of that is there anything else? i about lost my cool but said excuse me? she said have a nice day and hung up in my face. I said I wanna move out and she said u cant go nowhere till u pay me my money. money for what kathy? she says money for the holes my service man covered and money for the carpet damage and money for ur bug problem a new resident wont be dealin with. If some body ever made u so mad u cried bcuz u wanted to fight them so bad this was that time for me. Instead I just left the property after gettin a pink notice sayin I owe money and had 3 days to pay or move out but the pink slip on the door was put there 2 days after the date on it which gave me 1 day to come up with the money or be evicted..im still in shock she had the nerve to really bill me for every thing when i moved out. worst living experience of my life and worst property management i ever heard of. They do not care about the residents. they are only nice when they try to get u to sign the lease and after that its a nightmare. the lease says they can have entry to your apt whenever they want during office hours which leaves your place insecure while u work. it takes weeks or months to get maintenance to even come by. there is no security force like they say it is on the website. if it was then so many ppl wouldnt say they got there place broke into. maintenance is one old lazy guy who can only do so much by himself. and one other guy who is either using google or on the walkie talkie asking for help from the old lazy guy on the easiest things. they never really fix anything and complain the whole time they are in your place about not wanting to work. they get mad about having to come back to fix things they broke or made worse trying to fix. since maintenance fixes nothing the office manager uses that as a excuse not to give u your deposit back when u want to move out. the office never gives ppl the 300.00 credit for referring ppl. they pocket this money and find every excuse not to pay it to u. these ppl are slumlord hustlers and con artists and only care about money. the parent company yarco will not help u if u contact them. they will only tell u they heard nothing from the office and tell u the manager says she had no idea about whatever u complain about. the manager lies to you then lies to yarco about the lies she told to u then she lies to herself about the lies she told to both sides. its just one big circle of lies and games and they do it like pros. they get away with running the property illegally the way they do by bullying ppl till u move out and they just keep doing it to new tenants. they mastered the art of manipulating the system to stay in business. they all work together like one big happy money grubbing family. they will do and say anything to get your money keep your money kick u out on the street and ruin your credit then sucker new ppl in to do the same thing to them. its not worth it to live there and watch those leeches suck u and your neighbors dry. its bad business all the way around. do not report complaints to yarco bc they will do nothing but act like it is all new to them. report it to the city or hud if you want something done about it.

I have stayed at Bridgeport Apartments for several years now and for the most part I was content. I stayed loyal even after My Home was systematically broken into, even though it has always been a strenuous task to get any repairs done in a timely manner. I actually liked staying here because it is close to My Employer and happens to be very affordable but recently I have had to rethink My overall experience at this complex. Now I must admit that just being content in a place is not good enough. Not when You want to be treated with the same respect You dole out, especially not when You pay Your rent on time and definitely not when You have shown a innate ability to be loyalty and nurture a relationship. You honestly​ pray and expect the very same in return. You expect Your Apartment Management Team to not only care but make an investment in continously keeping all residents satisfied or at the very least content and that very simple premise should expectually apply to longtime residents. I am sad to say that I found out the hard way that the loyalty I showed to this complex and Its Staff was drastically ill-conceived.I recently recommended that My Cousin move into Bridgeport Apartments and upon My recommendation She took residence and has been living here for over an month now. According to Bridgeports policy They are supposed to reward Me with an $300.00 rent credit, which I never received. Why would They do this You might be asking Yourself, according to Them it is based on a technicality. They stated that My Cousin did not put Me down as a reference, even though I personally have had several conversations concerning this very matter even before She took residence. My Cousin had conversations with Them also to no avail. She explained to Me at an later date that one of The Office Employees even promised to correct the egregious error and put Me down as Her reference as She completed Her walkthrough, but unfortunately She did not keep Her word and came up with an asinine excuse as not to give Me the rent credit. According to Them My Cousin never asked for Me to be Her reference, even though I got confirmation from My Cousin that not only did She ask, the office Employee verbally committed to putting Me down as Her reference. So naturally as a longtime resident I must admit I feel very slighted by Bridgeport Apartments at this cantankerous crossroad in Our haggard relationship.I truly feel like They could have easily resolved this situation and gave Me what I was rightly owed but instead choose to irreparably damage a long standing mutually beneficial relationship on a web of deceit and lies. I was so disappointed that I even decided to contact Their Parent Company Yarco Property Management concerning this situation to which admittedly​ I was contacted back rather quickly only to then be seemingly blown off as I have yet to be contacted with a resolution and it has been over two weeks! The Manager at Yarco also only served as fuel for My anger as She informed Me that The Management Staff at Bridgeport acted as if They had no clue I ever made a complaint about this issue even though I had spoke to Them earlier that very same day! In My opinion this was not only rude but disrespectful and very unprofessional.I will !NEVER! recommend anyone I know to live at Bridgeport Apartments ever again and My honest advice to anyone seeking to rent from this complex or any Apartments​ under The Yarco Banner, is to tread safely, look at better options before signing anything and gather some insurances in contract form because if They cant be trusted to take care of a longtime resident in good standing that has stayed loyal through adversity then honestly what chance do You fare as new resident? This will be My last year at Bridgeport Apartments and after all of the events that have transpired I can not wait for a fresh start.

Dont rent from them,the staff is disrespectful to tenants they dont give you your fee for referring someone,suppose to.the maintenance is to old and lazy.they did a inspection when Im moving out and put a note on my door saying youre carpet is damaged I been there 4 years,has been cleaned several times .how should it look after all those years(not new)
