My car shut off on me and I called McDonald’s Towing and less than 20 minutes ( I know that’s not normal) a truck was there. Justin was my tower and he’s amazing! He was very professional and offered some great advice and he even put a business card for a referred mechanic on my windshield two days later when he was out doing another job. He goes above and beyond for his customers if you are polite to him… I’d recommend him ANY DAY!!!
Good job guys. Very helpful guys. And office is understanding people. Just make sure you have the correct paperwork to get ur stuff out of impound. insurance and ID required!!!
I really needed two cars towed from my drive way on the weekend and they did it when other tow services werent open, or answering their phone, and another tow service even hung up on me. Overall these guys are reliable and I highly recommend them.
Im not going give you a detailed review. They did provide honest dispatch communication. I called for the initial tow, I checked back with dispatch one time later in the morning because I was at work and had to meet them at the car. They called me back when the driver arrived. He had the car on the truck in a matter of minutes ran my credit card and I made it back to the break table to finish my sandwich. 9.9 miles $116.00
Absolutely horrible service. The secretary at the office was rude, when I went to get my personal belongings out of a vehicle in their lot I had to wait an hour for someone to show up to let me get to my car. Then they only allowed me 15 mins with it before kicking me out and now its a fee of $25 to go back. Theyre absolutely just here to steal your money and treat you like dirt.
McDonalds Towing had the best price and fastest response. They beat the competition hands down.Driver arrived on time and was professional.
If you get a gentleman names Justin, your in amazing care! Professional, knowledgeable, very respectful and very pleasant to talk to. I used my insurance to find me a tow service but now if I need one in the future I will call Macdonald’s and request Justin. Thanks for everything
Justin Buck & Jordan Rivera were amazing helping with my daughters accident! Not only did they provide excellent towing service, they were genuinely comforting to my daughter, husband & myself. Both Justin & Jordan are top notch & highly recommend them!!!!
Overall I’m unimpressed with this company. I had a tire blow out on me on the interstate and was recommended this company by the police. After towing the vehicle out, they said it was going to be four days for them to be able to tow it to my house, with it being a holiday weekend I was understanding of their potential workload so I was fine with that. However, when they came to my house with the vehicle, it had additional damage to the drivers door of the vehicle that was not there before. The door won’t even open now! Also, they ended up charging me $200 more than I was originally quoted when making the decision to tow it. This might have been a miscommunication of some sort from the charge to tow it out off of the interstate not being included, but seemed very sketchy. Both drivers I dealt with were very nice, but getting the additional damage and the additional charge really got to me. I would certainly look elsewhere in the area for any towing needs.
I waited over TWO hours at the impound lot waiting for a tow driver to let me in just to take less than 15 minutes of their time to get MY stuff out of MY car. Since they took their sweet ol time it was dark by the time they got there, made it real fun. My car was towed from the accident site to the lot, maybe a mile and I owed $375 for towing and the “storage fee” is insane. Stay away from this place.
QUICK, ON TIME, AND EXCELLENT SERVICE.I WILL USE THEM AGAIN.
They did a great job moving my toolbox, nothing was damaged, driver was on time, professional and courteous.
Most expensive place in town if your car gets towed. The office is several miles from where cars are kept. This is a hassle but I will say the ladies in control room are very kind and professional. Very clean office space. They do give out to much information to non owners of a car in impound. I would like to see that addressed. Overall great customer service but the high cost of doing business with them outweighs the good. Also only cash is accepted. Why??? Also if you drive a nice car beware they can apply for abandoned vehicle title after 10 days. Car can be sold at auction in 20 days per paperwork I received from Kalamazoo sheriffs and state of Michigan. Do not let your car sit if its worth money. Just an FYI
Awesome service! Had to get towed for DPF problems, they arrived quickly and towed me to the dealership asap. Cool friendly operator! Nice eye candy tow trucks as well, which I can appreciate!
I was forced to use this company by my insurance. I have used them once before and said never again, but......its a monopoly! My vehicle was sitting at an off-the-highway busy gas station overnight UNLOCKED before they finally came for it.I was told by my roadside person it would be done in 3 hours(so by 5pm).....more like 17 hours later! Unacceptable.
Quick and friendly! Locked my keys in the car, and the driver that assisted me got them out in no time!
The man on the phone and man that came out were so nice and helpful! Its hard to be the parent of college student who lives a good distance away. Im thankful there are kind people willing to go the extra mile to help my daughter! Well definitely use them in the future!
Shout out to Sam!!! Helped out in a thunderstorm, dude was in a good mood. Really appreciate the help!!
Kind, professional, timely. Go with these guys.
They were supposed to pick my car up at 9:30 a mSo I unlock it at 9 a.m. they did not pick it up till 9:30 a.m. the next morning then everything was stolen out of my car and they did nothing about it
Good job and ok time for waiting
I like this towing service its cheap and it fast, so I rate u a 5 star.
Needed my BMW moved to another city but couldnt get into neutral because the vehicle is not running. I explained the situation to the driver and he knew exactly what to do. He got the car in neutral gear was able to tow it away with no problems. Don was very knowledgeable and great with the delivery. I recommend McDonalds towing very highly and I will use them in the future!!!
Prices are one of the most decent if youre ever so unlucky to get your vehicle impounded. Staff was helpful too
Service wasnt prompt but at least they let me know they were booked and it was going to take hours before towing. Unfortunately, they couldnt give me an estimated amount for towing and they dont collect the towing insurance card; must pay cash or card then send receipt to insurance for reimbursement.
Nice but a little high on ALL
Fast and respectful. Experience drivers.
Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Extortionists. Businesses and the police need to stop using them. Their business practices should be investigated.
Good honest people to do business with. Driver was very knowledgeable and helpful. Price was good, service was great. Would definitely recommend
I had to have a work truck towed to the dealership. The driver was on time and he made the pick up a breeze, was very professional and courteous.
Ive had to how my car twice in the last week and I called McDonald both time. Ive had a great experience both times. My second time, I want to say that Allen went above and beyond and he was very helpful! He made sure that he did everything he could to save me from having to get more services done. Great customer service !I was nervous to use this company because of the low reviews Ive seen on here but they are very helpful and professional! I definitely recommend them!
The driver was awesome. The service other than that was probably some of the worst Ive ever gotten. Wouldnt recommend them to anyone and Im glad I probably wont have to. They basically held my car hostage. Showed up with the needed paperwork and still took 3+ hours.
The Tow Truck driver hit our mailboxes and damaged the right vertical post and knocked the boxes (3 mailboxes) from being securely attached to the horizontal brace. It was disappointing the driver did not claim responsibility when it happened and we had to try to call several times to have it remedied. The Manager, Terry, came out and wondered what we wanted him to do about it. I told him we wanted it to be like it was prior to it being hit with the post straight and fixed at the concrete footing and the mailboxes affixed securely to the horizontal with new lag bolts as they were loose. McDonalds DID NOT come to repair the damage nor did they offer to pay for it to be fixed. They may be a good towing company but they do not take care of property damage they cause. BEWARE!
Towed me quickly and wasnt difficult to work with or anything.
Waited n waited.to get my vehicle out of impounded it was suposr to be 3 minutes of waiting time its been over an hour because of police release vehicles this is BS I understand this but they need somebody here at impounded lot while day times of operations its not like I dont have other things to dummy toes are frost bit my fingers areAboutyo fall off thanks macdonalds about time ur here omg
I was going to have my car towed to the dealership but instead the tow operator got my car started and my fob synchronized with my electric start so it didnt need to be towed. Courteous, polite. Very happy 😊
Big time SCAMMERS, folks don’t use them unless u need to at any cost make sure to record every conversation with them to how much will they charge for ur service & have them to give u the written proof on the spot otherwise the price with hike up without ur notice and they will deny of that.I was told 150/- and was ripped out for 500/- LoosersThis is there bobtail truck pic who came to pick my trailer up. The driver even lied about the charges.
I waited almost 2 hours for a wrecker after Stella told me it would be an hour. My insurance company kept calling them and they finally stopped answering their phone. The driver provided absolutely no tracking details either, so my boyfriend had to sit in a parking lot from 6:00am until almost 8:00am with no idea on what time they were going to get there. Ive dealt with plenty of wrecker services, but Ive never had service this bad. And this is one of the biggest wrecker businesses in Kalamazoo County! Im very disappointed.
Super expensive, $101 for a 3 mile tow
Took along timeto get vehicle out of inpound.made us go to another yard of theirs to get registration out of vehicle.about 3 hours to get vehicle released .it was a terriable experiance.please use another towing.it was not good at all.
Traveling between Mi and Il I had a alternator die on my classic car. Travis got to the sight and was extremely helpful first trying to get car running before actually towing to the repair sight. He was first class in getting the job done and handling my car carefully. 5 star service
As an agent I use to suggest to customers all the time to use McDonalds Towing Service. But in the recent years I have had a few complaints about unprofessional operators in the call center and an overall unwillingness to help provide the customer with a solution or accurate arrival time. 20minutes becomes 2hours or the next day and if it isn’t a standard tow, they just don’t want to help. Overall I was disappointed to see such a great company fall apart in the recent years. I hope they turn it around but for the time being I will be sending my customers to another tow service.
Called for a flat bed truck for my 4x4 truck . Was told 60 to 90 minutes. After 3 hours I called and they said 60 more minutes. At 4 1/2 hours they finally showed up with a regular tow truck that cant tow a 4x4 truck. I told them forget it.I should have checked the reviews first ( lesson learned ) now I see all the bad reviews and understand why there rated so low.If your reading this. Call someone else.
Craig McDonald is a stand up guy and went above and beyond to help me when I needed it most. I recommend McDonalds Towing to anyone and just a heads up, if youre polite to dispatch and have some manners youll find that theyre not at all like whats described in some reviews. Remember, theyre people too.
Called and was told it would be 1 to 1.5 hours. Over 2 hours later the driver finally showed up. Price was never discussed with me. Thankfully it was under $150 but poor business practice.
I had a driver named Jim. Best tow experience of my life. The guy was freaking awesome!!!
Very poor experience yesterday. Was directed to McDonalds from local police after we locked our keys in our truck. The dispatch told me we were next in line but it would take 60 to 90 minutes. I accepted that and waited. After waiting 2 hours, I called for an update. I was then told it would be hours yet because there were now 17 calls ahead of me. Seriously?
Sure there was a wait, wreckers no longer cruise the highways. The Service was excellent, just needed help getting a truck tire off. Benjamin had the right solution and we were on our way in no time. Thank you✌
Ran a flat 2 miles away from their shop they never showed up had to call another company to tow the car don’t even bother with this company it’s a joke
When trying to retrieve our car, McDonald’s changed the price for getting it out, then did everything in their will to not let us get the car. It wasn’t until I had the police contact them that they decided to work with us, and even then they continued to be unprofessional. A few words I’d use to describe them is Crooks, Liars and Theives. A big F U to McDonald’s.
On the phone they were rude and not very helpful. The guy that worked in the impound lot was the first person that treated me kindly and was helpful. I just couldnt wait for the whole nightmarish experience to be over and done with.
Would not recommend this towing company at all. Towed our 36 ft motor home last weekend 5 miles and smashed up the front end of the RV. Total damaged $5000 and they said that was too much for them to cover and told me that my insurance company will have to pay for it. 100% their fault and refuse to pay for it !
Payed for towing to a shop they got busy so took my car to their yard. Said they dont know where they dropped it so I called police was found behind there fence damaged a wrecker hit it in their yard
Too busy to answer the phone. The first time I called I was immediately put in hold and then hung up on. The second, third, fourth and fifth time I was put on hold. I gave up.
There were patient with my getting there late, missedthe address, and Driver Justin was respectable and very understanding and help me get my personal items.
Mike was excellent. He arrived timely and was super friendly. He kept me informed of what was happening and answered all of my questions. I was impressed that the inside of the tow truck was clean and presentable. Considering the circumstances, I couldn’t have asked for a better tow experience.
Service was prompt and well coordinated through their dispatch center. Jim arrived with the truck and had me off the roadside in no time. He was kind, careful, and professional. The McDonald’s team was a big help in this unfortunate situation. Thank You.
Really helped me out of a jam
I tried to get all the documentation together to get my bmw back, mean while I was charged $30 a day. I went to their office and acquired the documentation required to get my personal effects. I made the 20 min drive across town to the lot location. You are typically given 15 min to get your things. They were shocked to learn I didnt have my keys. Thats right the office all the way across town had my keys. So one of their yard workers got it open for me. BMWs have security systems that dont like intruders. So, everything in the back seat had to come through the front because the back doors wouldnt open. On top of that no way to get into the trunk. I got in but I was there for at least an hour. It was a bad end to an already extremely frustrating and emotional situation.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! WORST TOWING EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I had an accident and they did more damage to my vehicle than the actual accident! They are rude, unpeofessional, and just DONT USE THIS COMPANY EVER!!!!!in Addition they dropped us off in the middle of nowhere! Inhumane!!
Awesome, they know thier stuff. Good people!! MLLHR. MARTINI
Trash service! Dont support them! Use at your own risk. Wasted my time and tons of money for absolutely NO REASON!
While these guys have modest prices ($85+$3/mile towed), they lack a bit in the communication and professionalism department. If you plan on using their services, be prepared to be calling for updates constantly since apparently they are unable to do that themselves. The reason I say that is because I called them at 9:30am for a tow, and I was informed that they were busy doing tows for accidents, so they were unsure of when they would be able to come get to my car. Fine, theyre contracted with the city, I know that, I get it. I was at home, my car was at my work, neither was going anywhere, so I didnt mind. I told them what mechanic to take my car to, and they said theyd call me when they were going to be on their way to get my car, then they hung up before I could tell them the few details about where my car was that would be important (like my keys being in it or the parking lot being narrow), no goodbye or have a nice day to indicate that he was going to hang up, just *click*, gone. I called back and gave them these notes (spoke to a woman operator that time, she seemed rather annoyed that her colleague didnt bother to get this information in the first place). 3pm rolls around, still hadnt heard anything, so I call for an update, and Im told that theyd picked up my car at 12:30. I asked why I hadnt been called like I was told I would be, and the guy on the phone just apologized and said they were so busy that they must have forgotten. I called the mechanic, and its a good thing I did, because they didnt tell the mechanic they were dropping my car off in their lot either, just dropped it and left. If I hadnt called the mechanic, he wouldnt have had any context as to where this car came from. When he got my call, he looked outside and there was my car, no info, nothing. Thanks guys.
The low rating worried us at the beginning. But hands down Craig is the man. He was helpful, friendly, courteous and a genuine nice guy. Not sure about the office staff. But Craig is the man. Thanks guys for the tow. Sorry you had to go so far Craig. We appreciate you. - Two stranded Canadians
Terrible company the young lady who answered the phone on Aug 10 2020 at 4:00 pm and set up the arrival time said 45 min after waiting 45 minutes I called back and she then said there was 6 other call ahead and didn’t know how long it would be and it wasn’t her job to inform me of the time change it was up to my insurance company to update me with a very bad attitude she continued to talk over me where I had to end the call. I don’t tolerate rudeness from any company I’m giving businesses.
Couldnt get into parking garage didnt understand why but basically told me he wasnt doing it cause I lived out of county
Terrible. Items were stolen out of my car and the manager wont call me back!
The driver was fantastic! AAA (or maybe McDonalds towing) on the other hand, took 2 hours to get to the call knowing I had a 5,7 and 8 month old sitting in the car with Michigan winter weather. Thank goodness there was no snow,I had grabbed a snack, and no one had to use the restroom.
My car broke down about 20 minutes outside of Kalamazoo on a Friday afternoon, and Hyundai roadside assistance scheduled the pickup through McDonalds. They arrived exactly when they said they would, quickly and carefully hooked up my car and headed to the dealership. Our technician was friendly and professional, and came out on his day off to make sure I was taken care of. I was impressed and grateful not to be stranded away from home!
They took two hours to get to my home the first time. Then when they finally came, they came with the incorrect towing truck... I SPECIFICALLY told them a flatbed and she repeated it back to me. So they left, said it would take ANOTHER 45minutes. And didn’t show up til and hour later.... POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
Great Service and Friendly!
Shattered windshield, broke antenna off, broke plastic around passenger door window
Worst place for towing. They are rude and disrespectful. Make you jump through unorganized hoops to solve an already difficult situation. Only personal who treats people deceit was the driver. Do not use this business and help them continue to prosper by others loss.
It was right on time and they where very kind
Was side swiped by one of their drivers 4 months ago. Have the police report and have taken the car to see their manager Terry who now refuses to call me back. I tried to be the good person here and give them a chance to make things right. Absolutely the most unprofessional experience Ive ever had. I recommend avoiding using their services and if you see one of their trucks on the road steer clear because their drivers merge into lanes without checking their mirrors
Very rude and not on time!
Had my car stolen and they want me to pay to get it outrageous!!
My experience with this company is that they were decently priced and willing to help ease the financial strain in a tough situation as best they could, and well mannered on the phone (they dont act like a bunch of grunts); my only complaint is that they dont take cards or phone payments and I had to drive all the way from Lansing to pay them by cash
My original post didnt seem to go through. Long story short they towed my vehicle without authorisation from my complex, claimed my landlord never called to figure out what happened even when I was in the office for that phone call, expect you to run between two lots just to get your vehicle back. Im not going to say the office staff was incompetent, but very limited at best. So I had to pay 250 out of my pocket for their negligence in towing my vehicle from a parking lot I am assigned to and have had no issues with for 5 months now
Was told towing would be a 2 hour wait time okay.. things happen waited 5 hours and still my vehicle wasn’t picked up. Go with T & J towing they’re cheaper and it only took them 20 minutes.
Call anyone else, ANYONE. Owners are GREEDY. Rarely present. Drivers and dispatchare grossly underpaid. Few benefits for Full time, ZERO for part time. No real training. The pay is terrible for the work they want, with high expectations.Turnover is incredibly high. Wait times are straight up lies.
Worst service ever
These people are really nice. I live in the Breedsville/Bangor area, but I was in Kalamazoo running errands and on my way to meet up with a group of friends when my truck broke down. I called Grahams towing at first, but they said they had to stay local, so I called this towing company and they were able to tow my truck back home. Even offered me a ride back home as well. The guy had told me that hes had to tow many vehicles as far as Chicago, Detroit, GR, Elkhart, and South Bend. It was a little expensive to get my truck towed, but these people were nice and honest.
I just got 225 dollar charge to get a car stolen from me out of the gate. Nothing like being robbed twice
Too bad there is not an option of zero stars. McDonalds would deserve it! My son and husband slid onto the gravel shoulder of the road and wrecked a tire yesterday. Weve used McDonalds before and not had any problems, so thats who they called. Bitterly cold weather, dark, 6:01 pm original call. Was told it would be 2.5 to 3 hrs because there were 40 calls ahead. Since they were inside a business and warm, they were able to wait. Second call to McDonalds was at 9:45 pm (4 minute call), was told it would be another 2 or more hrs, was told to leave the car unlocked and they key in the center console. Reluctantly did that and called a friend for a ride home. Third call was at 12:05 am (7 minute call), was told McDonalds would leave a message when they picked up car. Woke up later, no message. Called the dealership to see if car was there. Not there. Fourth call to McDonalds 12:03 pm (6 minutes), was told they had no record of our request for help, told us to check with credit card to see if any transaction had taken place. My son did that, no transaction. My son and husband drove our other car to site, changed tire to temp spare, drove to tire place down the road (which was closed the night before), all this still in bitterly cold weather. At 5:50 pm, almost 24 hours after original call, McDonalds called to say that they had someone available to come out to tow our car. Told them we had taken care of the problem. During the wait time, a customer at the restaurant said that McDonalds has a contract with police so they give priority to those calls. Knowing that, we will never call McDonalds again. They are too busy to help the average person. That being the case, the least they could have done is recommend another service. Maybe they could sub-contract with other services to take care of calls they are too busy for. Especially in dangerously cold weather.
On road staff is very helpful and professional. Ill call these guys before Id call any other local services. They made sure we were safe on the side of highway.
Lost the trans on my truck with a time sensitive delivery on it. Within the hour they had me hooked up and loaded and taking the entire truck and load to the final destination. On a Saturday. Two states away.Highly recommend.
Great, fast service. I had locked my keys in my vehicle, and Rusty came to the rescue
Called and they were able to tow my car across town in less than 2 hours. Work performed by Jason -- he was polite and quick. Reasonable price. Would hire again.
Good price, quick service. Thank you for helping me in my time of need!
So much hassle but if my car was to get towed they got things on lock
A little pricey but very quick pick up and return ...
I waited 2.5 hours for a tow they said was going to take 90 mins. I called to have the destination changed to be driven back to my home town an hour away and it took 2.5 + more hours more of a wait with no communication from this company unless I initiated. This was over 5 hours of waiting. Why do you take business you can’t handle. I didn’t get home until 12:30 am in the morning. If you are a female and alone, I recommend that you do not use this company!!!!
I have to say I was a little concerned when I read all of the bad reviews for McDonalds. I really think perhaps a phone call ahead of time would have made a lot of peoples complaints go away. My sons car (which was in my name) was stolen and when the police found it, they had it towed to McDonalds. We live 1 1/2 hours away, so I called in advance twice and was treated very well both times. Because I called, I knew that I had to pay in cash (the exact amount, no change given), how much I had to pay, that I needed to bring the title or registration, and where I had to go to get the vehicle. Once I got there there were 2 other people in line in front of me, but I only waited about 15 minutes. I paid my impound fees and once we saw the car, we decided that we were going to let the insurance company total it. McDonalds was very nice & let us leave the car there. I really dont think there was much more they could have done to provide good customer service. I hope I never have to deal with them again, but only because of the circumstances that would bring me to their door. Be prepared people ... you wouldnt want them to just give your car away to any Joe Blow who comes up to claim it, so have your paperwork ready ahead of time!!!
They helped get our truck home after hitting a deer
The absolute worst towing company in Kalamazoo. Do yourself a favor and call a different tow company in the area, theres plenty to choose from.
Tow truck driver caused harm, & left the scene.
My 16 year old son was involved in a minor accident in Kalamazoo Township. The police called for a tow service, and the vehicle was driven half a mile to a service center. I was billed $375!! I called multiple times to find out why they charged 3 times the normal rate. Apparently, because Kalamazoo Township does not exclusively contract with them, McDonald’s has decided to charge $375 if they get a call from Kalamazoo Township police. I will be spreading the word to avoid this company at all costs. They are crooks!!!
