Pompous, unapologetic management with no moral or ethical standards of practice. Should not be in the industry of working with customers. Terrible service and do not recommend this location at all.

I rented a truck from the Joplin Missouri location from a man named Corey Stuck. I had to change my location of return because of business reasons. I called in and told hertz that I would be returning the vehicle there and they said that was okay. The next day I receive a call from Corey Stuck, from the moment I answered the phone this man spoke to me like a dog. He was livid that I changed the drop off location. He threatened me that he would charge my card 1000 dollars if I did not go and pick the vehicle back up and bring it back to his store. I began to cry because I was absolutely so shocked by this and very concerned. He doesn’t even take a breath before saying to me “So how do you plan to pay the 1000 dollars?”. I said “I can’t pay it.”. Then he said “You can either pay it or go get the truck.”. So I told him I would call him back, I call the Chandler location and spoke with Mr. Jarvis. Mr. Jarvis was very kind and explained to me that he had already checked the truck in and there were no issues with returning the truck to that location at all. I called Mr. Stuck back and explained this to him and he said “You TOLD me you would be bringing it here to Joplin.”. And I said “I confirmed it was okay to return it to any Hertz location with the 12.99 fee, sir.”. And he said to me “So you have no intention of returning the truck or paying the 1000 dollars.”. And I said “Sir are you saying I’m stealing the truck?”. And said “NO, I said you have no intentions on paying for anything or going to get the truck to bring it back.”. I said “Sir, why are you being so mean to me, is this really happening?” And he said “I was crying and I cursed on the phone and there are repercussions for that.”. Then boldly and so matter of fact told me that I would be placed on the “National No Rent List” and that he would be sending me to collections for the 1000 dollars and that I won’t win if I try to dispute it because I signed a rental agreement (there is nothing about any of this on the agreement) then he proceeded to gut my bank account with a slew of charges and then is continuing to harass me by emailing me after the fact photos of him putting on my rental record that I refused to pay and my payment was declined and I did an “Unauthorized Drop”. I will be sharing this review everywhere. Everywhere I can think of. I want everyone to beware of this place and this man. If this is the face of Hertz, you should all be ashamed.

Hertz kinda reminds me of PAIN after I got to deal with them. They accepted my debit card for BOOKING the rental... THEY COULDNT ACCEPT THE SAME FREAKING CARD TO ACTUALLY GET THE RENTAL THOUGH... WEIRDOS

Horrible customer service. Will never rent from Hertz again. Had a reservation to pick up a car Thursday morning at 7:30am. On Wednesday night at 6:23pm I got an email telling me that they didnt have a car for me and they were cancelling my reservation!!!! Who does that? What company cancels your reservation within 12 hours? The city manager, Corey Stuck was no help at all. He just kept telling me that he was sorry for the inconvenience. They didnt try to get me a car from any other store and since it was after hours on a Wednesday night I had to wait till Thursday morning and call around. Luckily Avis came to the rescue and got us on the road. Hertz was no help at all and Ill be sure to tell everyone to never use this store.

Second time using this company through my insurer. Seems to be rather fast service, but employees are about as friendly as a pick of junkyard dogs. Zero customer service skills from any employee there. I would recommend using another local company if you are able to.

Heres how the after hours drop off works. Drop car off in front of store, keys in box then bill continues to run up.Ive been billed now for 4 additional days after vehicle was returned, December 3- December 7, vehicle was returned to the site on December 2 at 628pm.

Was a walk in at 8am and was out with a car in 10. The lady we worked with was very helpful & very informative. The car was clean and rode excellent considering the weather conditions . Will be a forever customer! Thank you to the staff of Hertz!

My wife was charged for an extra day on the weekend and we did not know and was not told to drop the rental off at ye airport on the weekend and yall refused to reimburse us for the money they took

Was worst experience I ever had renting a car, employees were rude. A few customers commented they were rude, especially the girl we had Danielle. She was on her phone texting most of the time and her boyfriend was in the store hanging out so she was totally distracted from helping customers. Very unprofessional, worst I’ve experienced and I travel quite often for work. I’ll never rent there again.I’ll be renting with Enterprise from now on!

Horrible customer service. Gave me a car less than the car I paid for and said there were no alternatives. I drove it home to pack for my trip before deciding that I could not survive in a Ford Fiesta for a 1300 mile drive. I rented a Toyota Corolla or similar and this wasnt similar as all. I ended up back at the Hertz lot think I would at least return it and go to another rental car agency. Three people in the store. ALL on their phone while customers stood staring at them confused. After a solid 15 minute wait for someone to look up, help the person in front of me, and then have time (aka get off their butts) to help me, I was put in a Toyota Camry. A car a grade above what I asked for and it was there all along. The woman just didnt want to hand it over and wanted the miles on a much lesser car. I am younger than most renters so maybe she played me for a fool or maybe shes dishonest to everyone. Regardless, I do not recommend this location or the staff within it. Enterprise is across the street if you need a car.
