Every time I go into this dollar general Joey is working and I always encounter the very best customer service with him! Outstanding example of a hard worker 😊

Long line with only one cashier. A gentlemen needed to return items and was told by the cashier another guy will be up here to take care of you so he moved over and waited for him. However that cashier came up in a hurry and told the guy he needed to go to the end of the line...back behind another 10 people after he already waited for 10-15 minutes. The cashier with all the rings on his fingers was very rude to him and it was very poor customer service to say the least. None of us in line Im sure would have minded that man returning his items as he waited his turn just like the rest of us. This cashier was not friendly at all. Very disappointing to see workers not taking care of their customers and treating them with respect as this cashier raised his voice to the man for no reason other to be a jerk!

The degiorio pizza was fabalous. The staff should a great service. Though I didnt catch it as a deal price. Like when they went on sale. I still bought it. The pizza had all of the 2 meat toppings. Stuffed crusted. Its hard to find that at Jewels Oscoson Route 59. They only had chesse pizza. No meats. People just bought them all.

This Dollar General was neat & tidy. The store had a wide product selection. Thats a big plus my valuable time is not spent going from store to store. Thank you

My visit was well. I had previously visited 4 other stores to find what I was looking for; even Walmart. And, found exactly what I was looking for @ Dollar General on Jefferson St @ a very good price. Thanks Dollar General.

This place is very empty. I asked the manager why was the shelves so empty. The manager told me that employees keep quiting or getting fired. I cant really be too hard on this store due to that reason. Usually there are nice employees there. I dont shop here much but when I do its quick. The corporate deserves to be told off due to how they have managers working 60 hour weeks! The motivation to keep employees are none existent. So the stores suffer from this. Its not a job. Its serving a community of people who spend hard earned money there. I gave a three star rating due to the talent using the little they have!

Never has any products that i could save money with there digital coupon love theyre saturday specials. And clearance dots. This location is always packed always and only 2 registers and workers who dont really know what they are talking about. U have to speak to a manger. Smells a little funny and the parking lot 😳.. Wth. Re do the line at least.

I use to love going here for the prices on cleaning, laundry, paper products. This location inparticular though has gone down hill, never stocked with anything, boxes of things everywhere, and clerks with attitude. I go to Theodore location now.

Love dollar general I do shop there for most of my necessities and food. If they sold meat they would become a mini walmart to satisfy all my needs

Overall, I like the place; however, at my last visit, the cashier copped an attitude when I asked him to bag my wind chimes separately. I spoke with a woman who appeared to be a manager but she was indifferent. Ill give them one more chance before I write them off.

My experience at the Dollar General people are very polite and nice but you do need some large bags for your large items please order some.

This Dollar General is close to home so we often visit it if we need to pick up odds and ends. Needless to say, we usually dread going in here. Its in need of a remodel, desperately. Everything just looks filthy. The line can be long as well, but I feel like DG just doesnt hire/schedule a lot of workers per shift at most locations. People often get rude with the cashier and its really not their fault in most cases. Take a look around on any given day and youre lucky if you see more than two people working the whole store. A redeeming quality is one of the cashiers who is the kindest, sweetest employee youll meet there. She greets everyone with a smile, makes polite conversation and is speedy on the register.

Former Walgreens location which moved up the street on Jefferson, however the floor could get a improvement and they could do a better job with the stock on the sales floor and while at it, they could hire a few more people esp. On the weekends.

This is a vary nice Dollar Discount store vary large with a nice variety of items excellent service on Jefferson ST on the West Side of Joliet IL.

The staff are too friendly, but the customers need to keep an eye on the kids. All of the toys are scattered because parents simply dont care. Its a store, not a daycare.

Under staffed and the employees hired are rude and not helpful. Called at 930am, no answer (although hours stated are 8am). Called back at 10am; greeted with hello, no company salutation. Employee advised she doesnt have time to see if a wallet was left at register, shes busy and to call back at 12pm! Stay away from here!

Terrible Store, Filthy, No Air Conditioning on when it is hot. Dollar tree has better deals. Things are actually a dollar there.
