This is, hands down, the best barber shop in the region. I went from having basic cuts at places like sports clips, to the LA and NYC level cuts and experience offered by Kenny and his guys. Youll never get your hair cut anywhere else after going here, I promise.

Kenny is very meticulous and always does a fantastic job. Id give more than 5 stars if I could.

Both of my ears we’re cut during my visit. It was my first time and last sadly. The atmosphere was nice, but I started bleeding in the chair. Now I’m waiting for my ears to heal. They didn’t tell me how bad it was until I went home and looked behind my ears with a mirror.

I had my hair cut by Matthew and my beard trimmed by Ken and Ive never had a better haircut/ beard styling in my life. I am very well versed in my travels all over this world and these guys couldnt do better because perfection is what level theyre on!! Ill continue to go to these guys until they stop working!! I recommend 10 stars for these guys!!

Kayla was awesome. She gave my daughter and I the best haircuts and our first manicures ever. She gives you great advice on hairstyles. I am always indecisive and she just works her magic and I am never disappointed. We had the best time while we were there. Everyone we encountered was beyond friendly. Ken and the other barbers at JC Male are exceptionally skilled, detail-oriented, and easy to talk to (but recognize when you’re just trying to chill, enjoy your cut, and not talk). Plus, they’re just good dudes. A variety of services with very good pricing and easy online scheduling are just bonuses. You’ll leave confident you got the cut and style you wanted. I HIGHLY recommend them to everyone within even unreasonable driving distance!

My son gets his hair cut here. Weve been very pleased with the services. Occasionally timing is an issue (stylists running late) but we understand that can happen in any shop or salon. Overall a great, friendly place to visit.

Didnt see that they didnt take walk ins until i sat there for 15 mins. Then after one of the barber looked at me twice like i was at the wrong barber i asked him if i could be fitted in since there were zero people waiting. And he said they were booked until the twenty fourth. I was so excited since i had seen the pictures of the hair cuts but i would never turn away money, I was also going to buy products as well! The owner and the guy in the far back corner seem to be the only friendly two.

Consistently the best haircut ever I’ve ever gotten was from Kenny. Moved to Johnson City and luckily found this place and enjoyed excellent service for 3 years. Sad to have moved away as it will be hard to replace the quality and attention to detail.

Had an awesome first visit with these guys! I had never been to a barber before coming here, I had no idea what to do or how to tell anyone how I wanted my hair to look. When I got there I put my name on the walk in board and they were straight up with me that it was going to be a while but that if I hung around they would make it happen. I waited for about 2 and a half hours but it was well worth it. Ashton was the guy who cut my hair and I basically told him I wanted something simple but clean and without ever even seeing me before he gave me one of the cleanest cuts Ive ever had. Ill definitely be back time and time again as long as Im here and they are in business!

They dont take walk-in traffic. Appts via website only. Lots of potential. They look like a hip place, but are a bout average in terms of services. Prices are a bit high for what you get.

You want a professional to cut your hair, then look no further.. These guys really know what there doing...Anything ya want, they can do it. I would say, this is the best there is. I travel with my work and I been to big citys male salons and may barbers have cut my hair but no one does it better than they do at jcs. Give them a try you wont be disappointed..... I have to say for my first time here I will not ever be back and I will tell everyone that said to go here to do the same. This was a waste of my time. Tried to make an appointment with their online site and it was tremendously tedious. Made a call instead. Showed up 15 min early and was not received well. They acted as if I was a walk in with no appointment, when I told them I had a 1:30 I had made a week and half earlier they seemed stunned and after confirming that it was indeed 1:30 I was asked to set down and told I would be helped momentarily. 30 “momentarily” minutes later and I’m still not seated. So I begin the arduous journey BACK through the entire gym (this place is situated right in a huge gym) trying to negotiate my way out all the while being mean-mugged by people for walking through their work outs. In short, for my 1st visit this was ridiculous to say the least for a simple haircut and beard trim. Told my buddy who suggested I go here and he immediately canceled his appointment for Tuesday. Not a way to run a men’s barber shop. Complete waste of time.

Great experience and atmosphere, very welcoming the moment you walk in. When you want a haircut, or shave that will make you stand out this is the place, very crisp lines, awesome attention to detail and wonderful staff. Hats off to jason and matt who have always done a stand up job.

I have had my hair cut by Mr. Birchfield now on three occasions and can say that he is a professional in his service and pleasant in conversation and demeanor. I generally am opposed to getting my hair cut, but Mr. Birchfield and his team of Master Barbers make the experience one that I am wanting to return. I am willing to watch paint dry, and in this case, hair grow. I would recommend JC Male to anyone in the Johnson City area and beyond for anything from a simple hair cut and style to a beard trim and more.

Walked in for a haircut because no man in history sets an appointment for a barber. An hour before they close the guy looks me square in the eye and asks me how he can help me. Apparently a haircut is not a given at this barber shop. So I ask for a cut and the guy lets me know eh I dont think I can get to you today. Guys, if you want a barber, find another place. There are plenty of other barber shops that will be grateful for a new client. These clowns failed that all important first impression

Walk ins only, if you are a new customer, even if that makes the wait 2 Hrs. Will not come back. Just set aside a time for the new customer when they call. How hard is that? To get to the shop you have to walk the whole gym. Not worth.

I was in town for a wedding and the groom requested shaves and haircuts at jcs. Phenomenal. I have since started getting shaves and haircuts at home still have yet to find anyone as good as these guys.
